    Elegant Accommodation

    In this cozy building, the furnishings are thoughtfully chosen with understated care. The collection of Ko-Imari porcelain gathered by successive proprietresses is also superb. The meals were elegantly seasoned and paired wonderfully with drinks. It truly lives up to its reputation as the Accommodation that hosted the Meijin title match in shogi. I would love to return if I have the chance.

    Meijin Title Match Venue

    I thought it was a very nice Accommodation. It was fascinating to hear stories about the Meijin title match in shogi, and I also found the previous proprietress’s collection interesting. Of course, the bath was great as well.

    It was a lovely accommodation that perfectly suited our preferences as a couple.

    Recently, we have stayed at many hotels, but this time we chose a ryokan after a long while. The building, meals, and hospitality were all excellent, allowing us to enjoy a very comfortable stay. The food was delicious and the portions were more than sufficient for us. We explored the premises and found many interesting items such as furnishings and decorations that added to our enjoyment. Despite being close to the station, it was very quiet and relaxing. The young proprietress was very cheerful and provided great advice on local information when asked, which made our trip even more fulfilling. My wife and I are already discussing our next stay here!

    Onsen

    The Onsen water was lukewarm, possibly due to the cold weather. Although there was a heater in the changing room, it was not turned on, and my body got cold while using the hairdryer. I had to take another hot shower before getting dressed. The meals were also a bit disappointing, and it felt rushed when the futon was laid out, which was unfortunate as well.

    I had a relaxing time.

    The cuisine truly lived up to the reputation of a fine Ryokan, with exquisite tableware and beautifully crafted kaiseki dishes that showcased the skills of professional chefs. The breakfast was also carefully prepared, featuring handmade pickles that perfectly complemented the rice.

    I was able to spend a relaxing time in a quiet Room. Above all, the food was very delicious, and I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.
