  Service has declined.

  I first stayed in 2023 and came to love this Accommodation. However, when I stayed again in the summer of 2024, I was disappointed that various requests—such as the Shuttle Service—had not been arranged properly, so I chose a different Hotel in 2025. To see how things might have changed in 2026, I stayed for two nights. On the first night at the French dinner, there was no information about drink pairings. At the teppanyaki dinner on the second night, I learned that pairings are available not only for French but also for sushi. If I had known earlier, I would have ordered a pairing. In addition, my Shuttle Service to/from my Room was forgotten multiple times: the dinner transfer on the second night and my departure transfer on the third morning were both missed. Each time, I had to call from my Room, and only then did someone come. When I called, it sounded as if you already had my request on file, but it seemed like arrangements were made only after my call. In fact, when I called to remind you (because no one arrived at the scheduled time), it was already five minutes past the requested pickup time. Perhaps this is related to a change of ownership two years ago; however, both in 2024 and again in 2026, I ultimately left feeling disappointed. I was also disappointed that the Room amenities felt downgraded—for example, Cosme Decorte products were no longer provided.

  Thank you very much for staying with Oriental Hills Okinawa again. After your stay in 2023, you came to like our Hotel; however, in 2024, requests such as the Shuttle Service were not adequately shared or carried out, leaving you disappointed. Despite that experience, you kindly returned in 2026, and we sincerely apologize that we once again failed to meet your expectations. On the first day at the French restaurant, our guidance regarding the pairing was insufficient, and we missed an opportunity to help you enjoy your meal even more. In addition, regarding on-property transportation, we were unable to pick you up at the promised times both at dinner and at departure, resulting in having to receive contact from you each time. This should never happen; guests should not have to confirm or remind us. We take it very seriously that we have caused similar discomfort in the past as well. We will thoroughly review our entire process—from recording requests and sharing them among staff to confirming execution. Regarding in-room amenities, we understand that because you knew what they were like before, any changes may have felt disappointing. When making changes to supplies and amenities going forward, we will place greater importance on whether they are truly better for our guests. Furthermore, changes in our operating structure are not an excuse for any decline in service quality. We believe it is our responsibility to carry forward the expectations of guests who have valued our Hotel and continue evolving into a better one. We take your comments as a serious reminder—one that only a guest who has actually experienced our Hotel from 2024 through 2026 could provide. Once again, please accept our deepest apologies for disappointing you on two occasions. We will share your feedback with all staff members and steadily implement improvements one by one so that you can truly feel that “it has become better than before.” Thank you again for sharing your honest and valuable feedback.   Even if it’s been a while since your last stay, you’re always welcome.

  Sorry for the late message, but it was my first visit in a while! Each time I come, both the facilities and services have been upgraded, and thanks to your friendly, heartwarming hospitality I had a wonderful time. The teppanyaki in particular was delicious and so much fun. Thank you very much!

  Auberge.

  First of all, the dining was outstanding. We tried the French, teppanyaki, and sushi restaurants, and everything was perfect. If these were in a city, each would be a hugely popular spot. All the staff were kind, and you can really feel their dedication to welcoming guests. The Room had a large glass wall facing the ocean, and we had an amazing time on the balcony—enjoying coffee while looking out at the sea and having breakfast there as well. The pool is generously sized, so you can swim properly. We enjoyed going back and forth between the pool and the jacuzzi in the bath area all day long. It truly felt like paradise at this Hotel. We plan to return many times.

  Fun for the whole family

  Thank you for taking such wonderful care of us again this year, following our stay last year. Just like last year, we were truly impressed by the outstanding hospitality of all the staff, and we had a very comfortable stay. This year, our child was able to enjoy dinner with us as well, and every dish—from shabu-shabu to sushi, teppanyaki, and French cuisine—was delicious. We were extremely satisfied. The Facility was beautiful everywhere we looked, and the view from the restaurant’s private dining room was spectacular—we were able to enjoy a truly luxurious time. Also, although I had forgotten to request children’s items in advance, during Room cleaning you kindly provided a diaper disposal bin and a life jacket. We really appreciated your thoughtful attention to detail. If I were to mention anything that stood out, as I felt last year as well, it was slightly disappointing that the secondary bathroom has a combined shower-and-bathtub unit. Also this year—unlike last year—the Shuttle Service vehicle had been changed to a bus-type vehicle. That said, we are very satisfied with the Room amenities and services overall. You also carefully mailed our forgotten item back to our home; we are grateful for your warm support until the very end. We would love to visit again as a family.

  A Four-Day Stay Filled with Warm Hospitality

  We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days! For dinner, we had French on the first night, teppanyaki on the second, and sushi on the third. The French dishes were all delicious, and paired perfectly with KENZO ESTATE wines. The teppanyaki was tasty, but the seats were quite close to each other; it would have been even better with a partition on the table. The sushi on the final day showed great attention to ingredients—each piece was carefully prepared, and the rice portions were small and easy to enjoy. Every à la carte dish was outstanding. The Room was very spacious and well equipped with both a refrigerator and freezer, making it very comfortable. We brought our own champagne, and they promptly brought us Baccarat glasses—an impressive level of hospitality. However, there were small ants scattered in various places, and we also saw a house centipede near the bathtub. Also, when we tried to use the private pool in the morning, there were many insects floating on the surface. We understand it can’t be helped, but we had to skim them out ourselves with a net, so we rated the Facility as 4.

We were delighted to learn that during your Multiple Night Stay you enjoyed all three of our culinary offerings—French on the first night, teppanyaki on the second, and sushi on the final night. On the other hand, we sincerely apologize that you were unable to relax and fully enjoy your meal at teppanyaki due to the distance between seats. Your suggestion regarding tabletop partitions is valuable feedback as we continue creating spaces that prioritize privacy, and we will use it for future improvements. We also deeply apologize for the discomfort caused by ants and insects in your Room as well as insects floating in your private pool—and for having required you to remove them yourself using a net. Although we are surrounded by nature, we will not use this as an excuse. We will further strengthen inspections and cleaning both inside and outside Rooms, with particular emphasis on more thorough morning checks of pool conditions, so that guests can enjoy a comfortable stay. Once again, thank you for spending four days with us based in our spacious all-suite Room while enjoying each evening’s cuisine along with our team’s hospitality.   A favorite place you’ll want to come back to again and again

  This was my third stay, and with perfect weather, everything—the views, the dining, and the Room—was once again outstanding. The moment I got home, I already wanted to come back. This time there were various updates as well, which made it feel fresh and exciting. ‘The Room and breathtaking views‘ The clear blue summer sky was beautiful, and both sunrise and sunset from the Room were so stunning they left me speechless. The Facility items such as the showerhead, hair dryer, and coffee maker had been upgraded to the latest models, making the stay even more comfortable. ‘Dining and afternoon tea‘ I enjoyed afternoon tea in my Room by a newly joined pastry chef—it looked amazing in photos and was truly wonderful. In the evening, French cuisine with champagne while watching a beautiful sunset was exceptional. The smoked bacon prepared in the lounge also paired perfectly with drinks—such a luxurious time. Sushi and teppanyaki are always a highlight thanks to enjoyable conversations with the chef; this time again everything was fun, delicious, and accompanied by plenty of drinks. I was also happy to see new Hotel-original chinsuko cookies and souvenir rice crackers—exactly what I had wished for last time. When I gave them to friends they were very well received, and having three smaller packs instead of one large size made them easy to buy for multiple people. The staff always kindly accommodate all kinds of requests, including preferences for the Room, and I’m truly grateful. Thank you again for another wonderful stay.

  Company trip

  We stayed for a 2-night, 3-day company trip for two women, with two meals included and a 120-minute spa treatment each day. I had read the reviews and had heard from a friend who stayed before that it was very luxurious, so I was looking forward to it. The staff’s thoughtful hospitality was wonderful, and we truly enjoyed the French dinner on the first day and the sushi the next day—both were excellent. At checkout, a staff member kindly gave us a boxed lunch to take home as a gift, which we really appreciated. We would love to stay again.

  This was my first ti...

  This was my first time staying here. The staff were very courteous, the meals were delicious, and I had a comfortable, relaxing stay. However, the motion sensor for the closet light was too sensitive, and because the door has louvers, it turned on whenever I moved in bed and was quite bright—so I hope this can be improved. Overall, though, I think this is a wonderful Hotel that ranks among the best of those we have stayed at. I would definitely like to visit again.

  I’m glad I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay.

  Until now, I had only stayed for one night, but this time I finally enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay. Just like last year, we were blessed with great weather and enjoyed the pool as well as the lounge. For dinner, we chose French cuisine and teppanyaki—both were outstanding. Simply superb! I ended up drinking a bit too much... Once again, we had a wonderful time. This is a Hotel that truly makes you want to come back for another Multiple Night Stay!

  Perfect Accommodation

  We stayed for two nights as a pre-80th birthday trip for my mother, with my sister and me. This Hotel had long been at the top of my list of places I wanted to visit someday, so I suggested it to them, and they both immediately said, “I want to go.” From making the Reservation until we returned home, there was nothing to complain about—if anything, our excitement just kept growing. The staff said they do it “to see guests’ smiles,” and their hospitality was beyond what five stars can express. We enjoyed both sushi and French cuisine, and everything was delicious. Breakfast—both Japanese and Western—was also excellent. Next time we’ll stay again to try the teppanyaki we haven’t experienced yet (laugh). Having a pool in the Room was even better than I expected. Even when it rained, we didn’t care—we just floated around. It was such a wonderful place that made me want to work hard so I can come back again.

  Enjoy French cuisine in your Room

  The dining options were excellent. The French meal, with the chef setting the table in the Room, was a perfect portion, and I was surprised to find sushi of this quality in Okinawa at the restaurant. Having a washing machine in the Room was very convenient. The hair dryer was the latest model from Hairbeauron. We were also given a handmade bento to take home on departure. It was great to see all staff working together as one team. The jet bath in the Room and the high-quality towels were also impressive.

  We had a wonderful time.

  Although I’ve wanted to visit every year, it never quite worked out, and this was my first stay in three years. Seeing the white exterior rising on a small hill and the logo at the entrance made me feel wonderfully nostalgic. As always, the staff welcomed us warmly, and I was especially happy to see someone who had taken care of us on our previous visit. The Room had a different layout from what we’d stayed in before, and I really appreciated having the bathroom and shower combined. It was also convenient and comfortable to be able to go straight from the pool to the bathroom. The staff kindly checked in on us because the weather wasn’t great during our stay, but this time our goal was simply to relax in the Room. It did clear up early in the morning, and I felt truly happy watching a beautiful sunrise from the pool. For dinner, we had previously ordered French cuisine via room service, but this time we enjoyed sushi and teppanyaki at the restaurant. In both cases, the chefs put on an impressive performance right in front of us, with thoughtful explanations and enjoyable conversation—it was a wonderful experience. It really came through that everyone is striving for exceptional hospitality and works with genuine love for this Hotel. It was a short two-night stay (three days), but we had an amazing time and are truly grateful.

  The view was amazing!

  I visit Okinawa several times a year, and this was my first stay here because I was drawn to the private pool. The view was absolutely stunning and truly moving. I usually stay at the same Accommodation, but I’m really glad I chose to stay here! For dinner, we had sushi—everything was delicious, and it was fun listening to the chef’s stories. The live piano performance was also a wonderful service you don’t often find elsewhere. We moved to the bar for dessert, but no one was there, so I thought it would be even better if we could enjoy after-dinner drinks there as well. Maybe it depends on the time of day? Next time, I’d like to do a Multiple Night Stay and try the teppanyaki too. Breakfast in-room while enjoying the view at a relaxed pace was perfect. I chose Japanese breakfast, and it would have been even more complete with some egg dishes such as tamagoyaki or an Onsen egg. In the lounge, only red wine was available—I'd be happy if sparkling wine or white wine were offered as well. Since I love saunas, I was interested in the private sauna. Even if it isn’t free, I’d appreciate a more casual price point. It would also be nice to have discounts as part of Diamond member benefits. The Facility felt clean despite its age; however, one sink drained poorly and water pooled up. Also, stepping over to get into the bath was difficult, so having a small step stool or something similar would be helpful. I’ve written quite a bit, but overall this is an excellent Accommodation! I’d definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

  The staff were exceptionally helpful.

  [What We Liked] - Every staff member was highly hospitable, and we had a very comfortable stay. - They were especially kind and attentive to our 1.5-year-old son. - We didn’t realize we had made a Reservation for a Room with a sauna, but it turned out to be absolutely fantastic! [What Could Be Improved] - The staff member who delivered breakfast on the morning of day 2 or 3 spoke quite loudly, which caught us off guard first thing in the morning. - The breakfast selection was limited, so after three nights it started to feel repetitive.

  The luxury of doing nothing

  Although I have visited Okinawa frequently for the past 20 years, this was my first stay. I was very satisfied with the kind staff and the luxury of doing nothing. The thoughtful wheelchair support for my husband, who has difficulty walking, the delicious meals, and above all, the adorable bale-shaped rice ball souvenir at the end truly touched my heart. Even as more foreign-owned properties appear, this is a warm Hotel with scenery that feels truly Okinawan—one that makes me want to return again.

  Wonderful hospitality

  Just as other Reviews said, the hospitality of every staff member was wonderful from the moment we arrived at the Hotel until we left. The Room had large windows, and the deep blue ocean stretching out in front of us was stunning—the view from the Room was amazing! Having breakfast on the terrace while looking at the beautiful sea felt truly luxurious. The Room also had a freezer, which is rare for a Resort Hotel (most only have a refrigerator), and it was very convenient. As this year marks their 20th anniversary, there were a few areas that felt slightly dated, but I thought the building itself was kept very clean and well maintained. Perhaps because the bathroom can be accessed from the pool area, I noticed a few insects (ants), but I didn’t see any inside the Room, so it wasn’t a major issue—just rinsing them away with the shower was enough. We chose teppanyaki for dinner, and everything was delicious. The chef was friendly and easy to talk to, so we had a great time while enjoying an excellent meal. After checkout we enjoyed the spa as well—it was an extremely satisfying Hotel stay! I’d love to visit again in summer. Thank you very much.

  The round-trip Shuttle Service to and from the airport was very helpful. The private pool was a little cold, but still great. The sushi dinner was delicious, and we really enjoyed the conversation—it was wonderful. This was the most satisfying Hotel we stayed at in Okinawa. Thank you very much.

  So good it’s almost hard to praise.

  This was only my second stay, yet it surpassed the first. It’s rare to top the excitement of a first visit—and I wasn’t even expecting it. Still, we return because we want to relive at least a part of that initial impression with peace of mind. This auberge brilliantly overturns that modest expectation, and I find myself wondering what makes it so special. I hear this year marks its 20th anniversary. Some guests have been coming for two decades, and others visit every month. I’m not in a position to do the same, but I sincerely hope to return every year. I also heard that the lounge—one thing I had been curious about—is going to be renovated. They must be thinking deeply about what to preserve and what to evolve. I’ll stop here before praising it too much—I’d rather not make Reservations even harder to secure. No one knows how luxury travel in Okinawa will develop from here, but I believe this auberge will continue on its own path regardless. I would like to thank certain people by name, but I will refrain. Thank you very much for everything; it was a wonderful stay. My wife also asked me to send her warm regards as well.

  It was a wonderful day.

  From the moment we arrived at the Hotel until we left, all the staff were so cheerful and well-mannered that we were truly impressed. Right after check-in, they took many photos for us at the front desk and by the entrance, which became a wonderful keepsake for my spouse and me. Every piece of sushi at dinner was beautifully presented and delicious, and chatting with the chef and staff was so enjoyable that two hours flew by. The Room was clean, quiet, and allowed us to enjoy a truly luxurious time. It’s a Hotel we’ll want to visit again, even if it’s far away. Thank you very much to all the staff for your wonderful hospitality. It became our best memory from our trip to Okinawa.

  We were extremely satisfied!

  The hospitality of the staff at this Hotel was simply outstanding! Everyone was always smiling and cheerful, which really lifted our spirits. The Facility feels a bit dated, but the sheets and towels were clean, crisp, and fluffy. They seemed to be replaced with new ones frequently. The food was delicious, and the portions were just right. In particular, the French cuisine was exquisite—so good that it made me want to come back just for that! My husband also said the golf simulator game (I think that’s what it was called) was very fun and he was completely satisfied. Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. Next time, we would like to visit in a season when we can enjoy the pool as well, and we look forward to seeing you again then.

  We had a very satisfying stay.

  Although the Hotel has been open for 20 years, I only discovered it for the first time last year and had been looking forward to visiting. Sometimes having high expectations can lead to disappointment, but this was an even more wonderful Hotel than I had hoped. I stayed with my mother in her 80s, and everyone at the Hotel was so kind. My mother is a little forgetful and tends to repeat herself, but she truly enjoyed chatting with the staff throughout our stay, and it made me feel glad we chose this Hotel. With only 14 rooms, it is quiet and relaxing. Because there aren’t many guests, it’s easy to communicate with the staff as well, and that sense of closeness felt very comfortable. We dined at both the sushi restaurant and teppanyaki, and they were the most delicious meals we have had at any restaurant we’ve visited in Okinawa so far. During dinner, we could hear live piano music from the lobby, which made for a truly luxurious time. Almost everything was excellent; however, one thing was that my mother in her 80s found the bathtub a bit difficult to use. Even so, they provided a non-slip mat and did everything they could. We would love to visit again with my mother in a nicer season.

  It exceeded my expectations.

  Our family of three stayed in the Oriental Suite for three nights with breakfast and dinner included. We’ve stayed at Hotels in Onna Village several times, and this Hotel—so lovely from the road—was one we’d always wanted to try. The grounds are spacious, so it’s a bit of a walk from the entrance to the front door, which made our first day especially exciting. The staff were consistently pleasant and attentive while keeping a comfortable sense of distance. When we asked for photos, they even suggested poses that made the lobby’s water feature look its best—and they were always smiling. The Room was spacious and spotless, and it was clear the pool water is well maintained. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and made us feel truly relaxed. There was an impressive variety of amenities; in particular, the women’s selection included beauty masks, which I enjoyed every night. Breakfast was set up at a poolside table, and we took our time listening to birds in the distance. Above all, dinner was outstanding all three nights. We enjoyed teppanyaki and sushi at the counter while chatting with the head chef. Not only was everything delicious, but the conversation felt natural and fun—truly professional hospitality. After dinner, my family had arranged a surprise birthday cake for me, and I was deeply moved when they played “Happy Birthday” live on piano. One small issue: throughout our stay, non-alcoholic beer was out of stock at dinner every night. We don’t drink alcohol but still like to enjoy the atmosphere, so it would have been nice to have a few more non-alcoholic options beyond soft drinks. Perhaps because there are only a small number of Rooms—and because the property is so large—we rarely ran into other guests during the day and could spend our time quietly. As it has been 20 years since opening, some Facilities do show their age in places, but nothing felt inconvenient. The exceptional hospitality and delicious food more than made up for that—we thoroughly enjoyed an extraordinary getaway. It was our first winter trip to Okinawa; even in the off-season we had more than enough to enjoy, making it an even better family vacation than expected. We would absolutely like to stay here again on our next trip to Okinawa.

  This is a Hotel I ha...

  This is a Hotel I had wanted to visit for a long time. I stayed for three nights, and because it has only 14 rooms, it was very quiet and relaxing. The Hotel staff were friendly and worked hard to provide great service. Some seemed new, but with proper training they will surely become excellent hoteliers. The food was very good, especially the breakfast bread. Overall the portions were quite large, so slightly smaller servings might be enough. The gym treadmill area felt a bit narrow, so a wider space would be safer. The sauna was excellent. Unfortunately, since it was still mid-February, I couldn’t swim in the pool. Next time I’d like to come in summer and enjoy the pool as well.

  The Reviews were very positive, so we had high expectations—and our stay exceeded them. The Room was spacious and comfortable, and in the morning we enjoyed breakfast on the terrace while looking out at the sea. All of the staff were courteous, and we felt comfortable asking about anything with confidence. We chose the French meal option. The menu made great use of local ingredients and was truly delicious.   Exceptional Hospitality

  Opened in 2006, I was initially concerned about aging, but the impeccable maintenance left me impressed. The hospitality with just the right amount of distance made for a very relaxing and reassuring stay—simply outstanding. I enjoyed teppanyaki, and thanks to the chef's warm personality, it turned into an unforgettable dinner. Their response to my requests exceeded perfection and is something I'll always remember. Having stayed at other hotels in Okinawa like ○Lecrani, none compare to this one. It's so exceptional that I almost don't want to share it with anyone!

  It was the best anniversary ever!

  We stayed here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Since we could only stay for one night and arrived at Naha Airport around noon, we chose this accommodation because having a pool attached to the room seemed like a great way to relax even with limited time. It turned out to be the perfect choice! After check-in, we were taken to our room by cart, which was exciting even before reaching the room! (The main building is also conveniently close by foot.) When we arrived at the room, we were amazed by the view of the pool, blue rooftops, and ocean through the window. The sunny weather made it even more perfect! In the bedroom, there were celebratory balloons and a handwritten note waiting for us—such thoughtful hospitality moved us deeply. We chose a late dinner time at 8 PM so that we could relax until then. We swam in our private pool and took a stroll around. There was a spot under a banyan tree with drinks available from a refrigerator where you could toast; however, since it was an unusually hot day that felt like summer had returned, we just enjoyed the view briefly before heading back to our room! We borrowed DVDs from the lounge and watched them in our room while enjoying views of dusk outside—it was such quality time together. There were many Studio Ghibli films available in their collection, which delighted us as big fans of Ghibli movies! Having unlimited drinks stocked in the fridge also saved us from needing any extra trips—very convenient indeed. During dinner time when fireworks suddenly went off nearby—we were surprised but informed by staff that they came from another hotel nearby hosting an event. They mentioned how during New Year’s celebrations multiple hotels launch fireworks simultaneously—a spectacular borrowed scenery experience with front-row seats here! The food was absolutely delicious; plus all staff members were approachable and friendly throughout dinner service. There was live piano music playing too—and after dining—we toasted again at their bar where tables are designed based on "Milky Way" themes. For breakfast next morning—it got delivered directly into our rooms featuring traditional Japanese cuisine allowing peaceful unhurried enjoyment without stepping out anywhere else beforehand! Finally upon departure—they picked us up via cart right outside delivering farewell gifts ensuring utmost care till very end making everything feel special beyond expectations altogether marking unforgettable memories celebrating milestone anniversaries thanks entirely towards exceptional services provided overall truly appreciated wholeheartedly!!

  It was excellent.

  This was my third visit, and it was just as wonderful as before. The hospitality from everyone who assisted us from arrival to departure was truly exceptional and comforting. It was my second time enjoying the teppanyaki dinner, and I was thoroughly satisfied once again. As all my stays so far have been for one night, there are spaces like the lounge that I haven't had the chance to use yet. Next time, I plan to book a Multiple Night Stay to fully enjoy everything. Looking forward to visiting again!
