    Relaxation

    I enjoyed the soothing tranquility and the feeling that time flowed slowly; the food was delicious, and the service was excellent.

    The meals are excellent.

    Please take this as honest feedback rather than criticism. First, the welcome and farewell were very pleasant. Recently, even at high-priced Ryokans, the greeting and send-off can feel lacking, but here all the staff were excellent. The meals were outstanding. The Room staff in charge of our dining was a male staff member who conveyed confidence in the food being served. He emphasized that warm dishes should be enjoyed before they cool down—essentially encouraging us to eat everything at its freshest and most delicious state. His efficiency and confident explanations about each dish showed their dedication to quality dining experiences. However, I was disappointed with the Room bath. There was no space to relax or enjoy a view; it felt too enclosed with barely any scenery visible through a small uncovered section of the roof. I personally prefer more open designs for such spaces, so this aspect fell short of expectations. Additionally, there is no alcohol available for purchase on-site except for four cans of beer in the Room refrigerator—no vending machines or room service options either. While bringing your own drinks is allowed (as confirmed via phone), it would have been helpful if this information had been communicated beforehand since nearby convenience stores are only accessible by car—a distance that wouldn’t be considered "close" by city standards. Luckily, I had brought wine with me; otherwise, having just four cans of beer until dinner could have made for an unpleasant experience! For those planning to stay here: make sure not to arrive empty-handed if you wish to enjoy drinks during your stay!

    The hot spring quali...

    The hot spring quality was excellent. The food was average. Since it was a detached room, we could relax without worrying about the surrounding Rooms. The cleaning seemed thorough as well. However, the waiter during the meal did not display a hospitable attitude, so we will not be revisiting. Despite dining in a private room with no other guests in nearby rooms, our conversation was reprimanded, sighs were audible from the staff, and our toddler who is just learning to walk was repeatedly scolded harshly. Additionally, an item (not fragile) that we had brought along was suddenly taken away without explanation—this made for a very unpleasant experience. Perhaps they were overwhelmed due to poor efficiency; if so, this reflects an issue with staffing arrangements. The following morning at checkout time when I mentioned between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM as our departure window upon being asked—they pressed further insistently asking for more precise timing in an unnecessarily stern tone... Should I have provided it down-to-the-minute? There lacked refinement nor warmth creating neither polished professionalism nor homely comfort atmosphere here overall reminding us how crucial good service personnel truly are within hospitality industry settings!

    Refrigerator

    All the drinks in the refrigerator are free at check-in. However, when I looked inside, there were only two bottles of water. Disappointing.

    It was a perfect hospitality and space!

    This time, I made a reservation and stayed for two nights at a ryokan with a high review rating and atmosphere on this site. The entrance space of the ryokan retains the good parts of the old building while having a calm and mature atmosphere, and my excitement rose the moment I entered. The suspension bridge on the way to the room made me feel the great nature again, and I was moved by the beautiful view of Mount Yufu and the snowmelt scenery from the bridge despite the cold! The meals at the ryokan each had a theme and were elaborate and delicious! However, I felt a bit disappointed that meals are not provided on Wednesdays (*_*) They prepared a kotatsu in the room, so I was able to stay warm even in the cold February period! The onsen was available freely until 9 a.m., so I was able to enter three times a day, which was very satisfying! Since the ryokan was more in the mountains than I imagined, renting a car from the airport was a great decision! Considering the time and cost of catching a taxi, I recommend renting a car at Oita Airport!!

    An exquisite relaxation experience!

    At the beginning of the year, I used this place for a trip with friends. We arrived by car and were warmly welcomed. At check-in, we were treated to delicious herbal tea in a stylish entrance. The path to the room was exciting, with beautiful scenic spots and a suspension bridge. The open-air bath in the guest room and the large public bath were very relaxing spaces, allowing us to fully enjoy the Onsen. On the second day, it was snowing, but I was impressed by the thoughtful arrangements that allowed us to move around the facility without any worries about our footing! It is a bit away from the tourist spots of Yufuin, so it is recommended for those who want to spend time quietly. Thank you for providing an exquisite healing experience. I would love to use this place again when I visit Yufuin!

    It was nice and had a charming atmosphere.

    The atmosphere at the Onsen in nature was very pleasant. There are insects, but it might be one of them. If I may be indulgent, having an indoor bath in the Room would be very nice.

    The Facility itself is ordinary.

    I think a little more effort could be made, considering many international guests visit Kyushu. Even if the website is well-made, I don't think it was worth paying 50,000 yen for No Meals Included.
