    Accommodation to Preserve for Future Generations

    I stayed here just before the earthquake. After sightseeing in Kanazawa with a friend, we extended our trip to stay on the Noto Peninsula. Seven years ago, my parents stayed here but were not satisfied with the food and recommended other accommodations. However, I was captivated by the stunning sunset and ocean views I saw on the website and decided to trust my instincts and choose Tadaya. In conclusion, the food was absolutely delicious, and everything from the onsen to the room and service was of an incredibly high standard. I truly felt from my heart that choosing this accommodation was a great decision! The interior design struck a perfect balance between retro charm and modernity—though old, it felt clean—and I sensed that many aspects were skillfully entrusted to younger generations. From our room, we could see soft purple sunsets, sparkling waves of the Sea of Japan, and seabirds flying through beams of light. It was such a nostalgic yet new experience; just being in that room brought happiness. Dinner featured creative kaiseki cuisine served in a modern dining space reminiscent of a Taisho-era Western-style building—every dish was exquisite. Breakfast allowed us to enjoy warm delicious dishes while taking in breathtaking ocean views. The onsen water had such a gentle quality that I enjoyed it three times: upon check-in, at night, and again in the morning. Each time offered different scenic views from the open-air bath—a liberating feeling as if merging with the vast sea before me. When I shared these experiences with my parents after returning home, they were amazed at how much things must have improved over seven years! We even discussed visiting together as a family next time. Shortly after this wonderful stay came news of a major earthquake. Worried about Tadaya’s condition post-earthquake, I immediately checked social media. Despite facing immense challenges within half a day after its occurrence—they updated their Instagram story promptly—which left me deeply impressed by their agility as younger staff members took charge. Even without knowing all details yet about damages caused by disaster—I instinctively believed "This place will recover." Although there are likely numerous hurdles ahead toward reopening operations fully—I wholeheartedly support them during these tough times! For now writing reviews like mine feels insufficient—but once circumstances stabilize—we’ll bring our family back-to-Tadaya relive those unforgettable scenic moments again someday soon!     旅の醍醐味

    Stunning views and delicious meals

    Thank you for your hospitality again this year. We were very satisfied with the cozy room offering breathtaking views, attentive service, and above all, the incredibly delicious meals. The flavor of the broth was particularly outstanding and truly comforting. We also appreciated having Wakatsuru Distillery whiskey available. The only slight disappointment was that the open-air bath in the room was not Onsen water, but overall it was a wonderful stay. Thank you very much. We hope to visit again next year!

    Accommodation where time flows gently

    Relax and unwind. This accommodation is perfect for relieving fatigue. The herbal tea provided in the room is exquisite. The sunset is also beautiful.

    The service is excellent.

    Due to the historic nature of the building, it may not have a sparkling clean feel, but it is well-maintained. The service provided by the staff is excellent. Breakfast was a bit ordinary. Both dinner and breakfast featured top-quality ingredients from Noto, but I felt they could use a little more creativity. The Room with an ocean view right in front was absolutely fantastic.

    This was our second ...

    This was our second stay. We returned as a family of four to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday, having had a great impression from our visit two years ago. Once again, it exceeded our expectations, allowing us to relax and enjoy ourselves thoroughly. The quality of the room is exceptional, with stunning ocean views that alone make the stay worthwhile. The hospitality is also outstanding. The staff member who assisted us two years ago took care of us again this time with the same calm, cheerful, and attentive service that adds to the charm of this accommodation. All other staff members were equally warm and welcoming, making for a very comfortable experience. The meals were delightful, featuring local ingredients skillfully prepared for both breakfast and dinner—our entire family enjoyed them immensely. It was also enjoyable to admire the tastefully displayed furnishings throughout the accommodation's interior spaces. The bath area was spacious with perfect water temperature and great views; we relaxed there upon arrival, after dinner, and before breakfast each day. Fishing from the pier turned out to be surprisingly fun—we caught three small fish which became an added highlight during dinner! The special service for my wife's 60th birthday celebration was also much appreciated. We will definitely return again!

    For the future...

    Stayed for one night in mid-September. I had high expectations due to the high review ratings, but the room I reserved seemed to be in an older building, which led to some issues with amenities. (I directly mentioned this at the counter during checkout.) However, I was very satisfied with the onsen and meals. Upon reading through the reviews more carefully, I noticed that opinions are quite divided. As someone pointed out, it seems like a transitional period from previous management or systems. That said, it's unfortunate that impressions vary depending on the room grade. I hope efforts will be made in the future to ensure consistent impressions for all guests when leaving your accommodation.

    Accommodation with stunning views

    The room was on the second floor of Rikyu, featuring large glass windows with a stunning view of the sea, which felt very close. The sunset was particularly breathtaking and left a lasting impression. Although the facility is horizontally long and the room was far from the front desk, it was conveniently close to both the bath and dining area. It was my first time experiencing a salt Onsen, and it warmed me up wonderfully. The changing room was spacious and comfortable as well. The meals had fewer dishes and portions but were flavorful; however, I found the main hot pot dish slightly underwhelming—I would have liked something more exciting as a centerpiece dish. I recommend ordering additional sashimi or meat as extras—the sashimi was incredibly delicious! The amberjack, shrimp, and barracuda were especially outstanding. Breakfast consisted of dishes that paired perfectly with white rice, making for an enjoyable meal overall. The staff members were cheerful and pleasant throughout our stay. I look forward to visiting again during crab season!

    Dinner at a Restaurant with Stunning Views

    Dining at a restaurant while enjoying the breathtaking scenery that changes with each passing moment at sunset will leave a lasting impression. During our Multiple Night Stay, we were also impressed by the variety of thoughtfully crafted menus. The unforgettable memory of gazing up at the star-filled night sky from the stunning terrace near the carport will always remain with us. Thank you very much.

    Wakura feels quiet and tranquil.

    We reserved the room "Rikyu," which is advertised as a room for two people where fishing is possible. However, the fish we could catch were disappointing. Setting that aside, with a price of 50,000 yen per person per night, we had high expectations for dinner. Unfortunately, it was comparable to or even below the level of accommodations priced at 10,000 yen per night. Drink orders were made by scanning a QR code with our phones—there was no sense of service or hospitality at all. When we couldn't finish our meal and asked if they could make rice balls for us to take away, they handed us plastic wrap and told us to do it ourselves—a first-time experience for us. That said, the view from the room was absolutely stunning.

    The location was not...

    The location was not only fantastic, but the interior design, comfort, and everything we needed were perfectly in place, leaving us extremely satisfied. If I had to mention something, we received a sashimi platter through IKYU's service, but it was too much for two people to finish. Considering food waste is an issue nowadays, it might be better to adjust the portion size appropriately. It was nice to have coffee and other drinks available in the lounge; however, since it ended at 7 PM, I would have liked to enjoy a drink after dinner if possible. Extending the hours would be appreciated. That said, these are minor points for improvement as overall we were truly satisfied. This accommodation is one of the best Ryokans we've ever stayed at!
