    I’d love to stay here again.

    In the lobby, we were welcomed by the sound of many bell crickets. The meals were plentiful and delicious. The staff’s hospitality truly came through, making this Accommodation a very memorable stay. The only downside was that there was no Onsen signage at all in the large public bath.

    Satisfied with the meals and the bath.

    The meals were delicious, and the Onsen was great. The building is old and many of the Facilities are outdated, but I think that has its own charm. The massage chair in the Room didn’t work, possibly because it was broken. Also, the only drinks provided in the Room were tea and water—perhaps due to recent price increases.

    We stayed again as a couple for the first time in a year. The Hotel had been renovated and was even cleaner than before. Our Room was also upgraded. This time we chose the smaller kaiseki course, and we were completely satisfied with both the quality and quantity. The staff member who served us was also very pleasant. Every year, the sound of bell crickets is so soothing. The baths had also been renovated, and we enjoyed the same relaxing comfort as always. No matter when we go in, we can’t help but shout, “This is the best!” We’ve visited countless Onsen, but this one is exceptional—the water is clear, it’s spacious, it never feels crowded, and it’s simply wonderful. We always request Shuttle Service to the highway bus stop—while feeling sorry for the trouble each time—and we truly appreciate it. Thank you very much for everything.

    Achi Village Hirugami Onsen

    Thank you for your hospitality. I visited Hirugami Onsen hoping to see the beautiful stars, but unfortunately it rained and I couldn’t, which was disappointing. The Onsen water was pleasantly silky and soothing. It was a bit disappointing that the open-air bath is no longer available.

    We stayed here on our honeymoon to see the starry skies of Achi Village. The exterior has many historic touches, and the Room had been renovated and was very clean. There is a large public bath available 24 hours a day, and our Room also had a bath. Please note that it can be difficult to control the shower temperature. It may have just been the timing of our visit, but we felt there were many foreign trainee staff members. We booked a course meal, but the steamed rice and miso soup arrived about two minutes before dessert, so it’s best to ask right away if you’re unsure about anything. We chose the Plan with Shuttle Service for the Achi Village night tour bus, but it gets extremely crowded—if you’re coming by private car, driving yourself is recommended.

    It was different from the Review.

    I was disappointed because I had read the high-rated Reviews. The view from the Room was nice, but there were only two dining chairs to sit on, so we couldn’t relax (we stayed as a group of three). Perhaps because we requested dinner at 6:30 PM, everything was already cold. At least the miso soup should have been served hot. The bath water was good, but there was no open-air bath or sauna. Even though things were set up in the lobby, there was no coffee or welcome drink service. Given the low Accommodation Fee, I suppose it can’t be helped. However, the hanamomo blossoms along Hanamomo Kaido were beautiful, so I’m glad I brought my parents.

    The Onsen bath and the meals were great.

    The Onsen bath area and the meals were good, but there were no complimentary services such as coffee, no open-air bath, and while staff met us at the parking lot on arrival and carried our luggage, there was no send-off when we left. We stayed at a nearby Accommodation last year that not only offered drink service but also provided an early-morning shuttle to Hanamomo Village, which was excellent, so we will not be returning here.

    Warm up in a silky Onsen.

    The Onsen quality was excellent. Having only two hair dryers in the changing room is far too few. The Room bed mattress was an Airweave and it was very comfortable.

    The Onsen is known for its skin-beautifying waters.

    The cherry blossoms were in full bloom and could be clearly seen from the Room. The Room had also been renovated and was very clean. The Onsen water was silky and wonderful—truly a skin-beautifying bath. The meal was delicious, but the menu listed Shinshu beef grilled on a hot stone; it turned out to be pork shabu-shabu instead, which was very disappointing. It seems the menu may have been mistakenly placed at our table instead of another one.

    The bathtub drain is clogged. Additionally, the emergency exit does not open.

    Upon arrival, the water from the private bath in my daughter's Room overflowed due to a clogged drain and partially leaked into the Room. Additionally, I always check emergency exits at Hotels and Ryokans during trips, but it seemed that the emergency exit was taped shut from the outside. It might not open if a woman tried to kick it open. Overall, management was careless. While they seem to spend money on areas like the entrance for appearances, there is a lack of attention elsewhere. The person at reception who appeared to be the owner handled payment without even a smile, which dampened our travel mood. However, I would like to express my gratitude to the Vietnamese staff member who assisted us, as well as the man who saw us off at the entrance and those who worked hard to fix the drainage issue.

    Dissatisfaction remained with both the service and facilities.

    I booked this accommodation last minute as my preferred accommodation was fully booked, so here are my impressions from my first stay. Overall, it is a rather old accommodation, and the front desk service during check-in was not bad. The guest room had a retro Showa-era atmosphere, but what bothered me most was the large number of stink bugs in the futon and bathroom. There was duct tape provided in the room for pest control, and I had to deal with them myself for the first time! For nearly 40,000 yen per night, this quality is disappointing—if it were a 10,000-yen range accommodation, it might be understandable. I hope the hotel pays more attention to such issues. The quantity of food served was satisfying. When I requested coffee during breakfast (it came at an additional charge), they kindly brought it up from the first floor; their serving staff provided good service. What disappointed me most was how I was treated when making an inquiry over the phone with reception. Even though I wasn’t accusing them of anything unreasonable or strange, they responded harshly with "There's nothing wrong!" which shocked me. Additionally, their inflexible and unkind attitude at reception stood out negatively—I don’t think I'll be staying here again.

    Accommodation with a relaxing and delightful Onsen

    The Onsen was very relaxing. The meals were a bit spicy and salty for my taste, but they were filling and satisfying. Unfortunately, I didn't find the white rice tasty, possibly due to my condition at the time. Due to unfortunate weather, the stargazing walk had to be relocated, and we could only see a few stars through gaps in the clouds. However, the staff's hospitality was excellent.

    Senior Couple

    The Room was spacious and comfortable. However, as a senior, it was difficult to sit on the floor cushions. It would have been nice to have chairs in the Room. Attending the festival on its final day was a valuable experience. The staff treated us very kindly.

    This was my fourth stay, originally planned for 3 nights, but due to the typhoon, I extended my stay by one night for a total of 4 nights. Thank you again for upgrading my room this time as well. The highlight of this accommodation is definitely the bath. The bath is incredibly spacious compared to the number of guest rooms. Although the bathing areas alternate between men and women depending on the time, I have never experienced it being crowded. There is also no chlorine smell. The staff are attentive, and the food is delicious, but above all else, I highly recommend this place for its amazing bath facilities. Thank you as always for providing shuttle service to and from the highway bus stop!

    I had a relaxing time.

    Hirugami Onsen has become a trendy Onsen recently, and many Ryokans are slightly overpriced, but this accommodation was reasonably priced. While there are some parts that feel a bit dated, it was clean and had no unpleasant aspects. We chose the course with smaller portions but more variety, which was just the right amount for seniors. The sound of crickets added to the atmosphere, and the lobby was comfortable to spend time in.

    It was the worst accommodation experience of my life.

    Upon arrival, as soon as my name was confirmed, a male staff member repeatedly said, "This plan is cheap, so please pay in cash." Even though I had already made a prepayment through IKYU.com, I was practically forced to withdraw cash. After showing the email later, they admitted it was a "misunderstanding," but there was no apology whatsoever. To make matters worse, during checkout the next day, another staff member said the same thing again—I was utterly speechless. The attitude felt discriminatory just because it was a "cheap plan," which made me extremely uncomfortable. I have stayed at over dozens of Onsen Ryokans before, but this one is by far the worst experience I've ever had. Instead of relaxing as intended, I ended up paying money only to feel unpleasant and stressed out. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone. For those booking through IKYU.com: even if you choose prepayment options, be cautious as you might still be asked for cash payment on-site.

    The water facilities are clean.

    The building and Room are old, but the water facilities have been beautifully renovated and feel clean, with comfortable bedding. The bath had clear water that felt great, though I wished there was facial cleanser provided. The staff were kind and attentive, which was mostly satisfying. However, the chairs in the lobby had a slightly dusty and dry smell that might not suit sensitive individuals like my husband who has asthma. It would have been better if the freshly grilled char fish looked as good as it tasted.

    The guest rooms and other areas have many steps; we recommend improving accessibility for a more seamless experience. The service provided by the elderly male staff during check-out felt indifferent for the hospitality industry and could benefit from improvement.

    The clear Onsen felt...

    The clear Onsen felt gentle on the skin, which I really liked. The Room had a charming atmosphere, allowing for a relaxing stay. It would have been even better if the futon was fluffier.

    It's a property I would like to stay at again.

    I visited with my family, and the staff were considerate of my elderly mother, allowing us to stay with peace of mind. The room and facilities were clean and comfortable, the meals were delicious, and the temperature of the onsen was just right for relaxation. As expected, the hot water of Hirugami is excellent for beautifying the skin. My son's severe acne showed improvement in just one day. Overall, the warm-hearted service made us want to visit again.

    Thank you for the bath that met our expectations.

    It is a very reassuring property. Hirugami Onsen is a great place to visit no matter how many times you come. It's a pity that the "tsugi-zake" of Iwana no Honezake was not understood, but it can't be helped.

    The hot spring was very comfortable and the bath was pleasant. The food was also delicious. However, it was disappointing that the complimentary drink for Diamond members was only sake or oolong tea, and I couldn't change it to beer.
