    The bath is amazing!

    This was my first visit to Hitoyoshi Onsen, and my first stay at this Accommodation as well. I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent water quality. My skin felt so smooth after bathing—truly worthy of its reputation as a “beauty bath.” The bath on the 3rd floor felt even silkier. I also appreciated that towels are provided in the large public bath, so I could enjoy multiple baths without worry. The meals were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The Room seemed to have been renovated in a modern style, and it was lovely. I also liked having a chair by the sink so I could sit while doing my makeup. However, in the Room I stayed in, the morning light came from an angle that made it hard to do makeup at the sink, so I thought a standing hand mirror would be helpful. I didn’t realize Hitoyoshi Onsen was this wonderful, so I’ll definitely add it to my future travel options.

    Plum blossoms and cherry blossom season

    This was our first stay at Ayunosato. I had been interested in this Accommodation for a long time, but never had the chance until this visit. In conclusion, it was a far better Accommodation than I expected. I also liked that free drinks were available. As it is an Accommodation by the river, we were able to fully enjoy the view from the terrace. I have a big appetite, so it would have been perfect if there had been an à la carte menu, but I was still satisfied with what was offered. The lobby’s design and atmosphere were great, and the staff were kind and attentive, which we really appreciated. We were able to relax in the open-air bath in our Room, and I was impressed that the washing area even had heated flooring. Since there were two of us this time, we could stay in a spacious Room and enjoy it to the fullest. It’s also worth noting that it’s close to the expressway with very little driving required.

    The large public bat...

    The large public bath and open-air bath both had excellent water quality and perfect temperatures. Every meal was delicious, and the staff provided very courteous service, making me truly glad I chose to book this accommodation. This is an onsen accommodation I would love to visit again.

    I revisited the acco...

    I revisited the accommodation because I had a great experience before. However, upon arrival, I was surprised to be told that my reservation was not found! They managed to prepare a room for me, but the welcome felt less warm compared to before. The meals were also underwhelming and lacked consistency. The room and the quality of the onsen water remained excellent, which was reassuring. At checkout, there was another issue. Despite having already paid online, I was charged again for the accommodation fee. When I inquired about this and whether my reservation through this site had been processed correctly, it turned out that the ryokan staff had mistakenly entered the wrong date into their system. Since my previous stay was so good, this time's experience left me quite disappointed. I don't feel inclined to visit again.

    Enjoy the bath, but the meals are a bit lacking.

    The bath was very pleasant, and I was able to leisurely enjoy the view from the Room. However, the meal was a mix of Western and Japanese styles. The ayu tempura was delicious, but I felt that minestrone, eggplant hiryuzu, and out-of-season pear compote did not match well with Japanese cuisine. It would be preferable if there were an option to choose regular Japanese meals.
