    A Satisfying Accommodation in Miyakojima

All the staff were wonderful, and we got to see so many of Okinawa’s animals—it made for an amazing trip!

    It became a once-in-a-lifetime memory.

This villa resort was a place I had always wanted to stay at, and this summer my wish finally came true.\nAs soon as we parked, the staff greeted us by name before we even introduced ourselves.\nWe completed check-in while enjoying a welcome drink and fruit, then headed to our Room.\nSeeing the view in person—one I had only seen in photos—was truly moving.\nBoth the BBQ dinner and breakfast were excellent.\nSince this trip also celebrated my partner’s new job, I emailed to request a surprise dessert plate, and I’m very grateful for their thoughtful assistance.\nI’m so glad we stayed here—it became a once-in-a-lifetime memory.\nI hope to return again someday if I have the chance.

We had a great time again.

We stayed for three nights in early June, right at the start of the rainy season, and had a wonderful time. The south wind was strong so we couldn’t go into the private beach, but thanks to your recommendations we were able to snorkel with sea turtles at nearby beaches such as Aragusuku Beach and Higashihennazaki Beach. We also visited Utopia Farm and enjoyed mangoes that had just started shipping, and during dinner at Villa Resort we even saw a large male coconut crab (maybe around 50 years old?) wobbling right in front of the restaurant—an unforgettable Miyakojima experience you rarely get in everyday life. This was our second stay at Villa Resort, and it meant a lot that the Hotel staff remembered us. With enjoyable conversations, time flew by in no time. All of the meals were delicious, and the portions were more than enough for us! If I had one request: barbecues on the terrace during the rainy season are very difficult (sudden squall-like rain that blows sideways with strong wind), so dinner ends up being at the restaurant—but there are limited menu choices. Everything is tasty so it’s fine, but if there were some variety so it wouldn’t be exactly the same menu each day, I think more repeat guests on a Multiple Night Stay would come back even more often. In winter, the sea is beautiful (to be honest, in summer there is a lot of trash on the beach—drifted garbage from China can be overwhelming; this didn’t happen in the past) and calm, but it’s too cold to swim. In summer, water temperatures are high and snorkeling/diving must be amazing, but the beach in front of this Hotel often has bigger swells. For our next visit we were recommended October—and that makes perfect sense. I’ve experienced many different seas around the world, but I believe Miyakojima can satisfy you more than anywhere else. No matter how many times we visit this wonderful Villa Resort, I’m sure we’ll be truly satisfied every time. To all of your staff (I won’t list names) and to your manager—thank you again for everything this time as well. The location and Facility are great, but above all else your staff’s kindness and thoughtfulness—including from your manager—are simply outstanding.

    We stayed for 3 nigh...

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. We made a Reservation because we were drawn to the view from the Room. Since the weather was clear, I was so happy thinking, “It looks just like the photos!” (lol) All of the staff left a great impression, and their sense of distance was just right, so we could relax comfortably. I really enjoyed chatting with you. It was wonderful that there were three breakfast options. We had Miyako soba, Japanese-style breakfast, and Western-style breakfast—each morning was delicious. The portions felt a bit generous, but it was so good that I finished everything. We booked a Plan that included one dinner and chose the BBQ. We were told an upgrade was available, but that this set would still be more than satisfying—and it truly was! There were Miyako beef, island pork, island chicken (sorry if I’m mistaken), vegetables like goya and purple sweet potato, as well as kuruma prawns and scallops, steamed dishes, grilled rice balls—so much variety. Eating while listening to the waves and watching the sun go down tasted incredible. We also visited the private beach. Because of strong southern winds the waves were rough and we couldn’t swim, but we found tons of big crabs and large hermit crabs! I got completely absorbed searching for them again and again. There’s a booklet in the Room drawer listing creatures you may see there—it’s helpful to use as a reference. At night I lay back on a reclining chair and watched the stars. There were some clouds, but we could still see many stars. I was surprised by how bright the moon was. The breeze felt wonderful and I even dozed off—it was such a great time. One small downside: there wasn’t a chair by the bathroom mirror—I would have liked somewhere to sit briefly. Also, when we returned by car after having dinner out one night, it felt dark around the parking area and I got worried because it was hard to tell if we were parking in the right spot. That’s all. It was an absolutely lovely Accommodation. We’ll visit again in October—thank you very much!

    Thank you very much!

This was our sixth stay. Thank you, as always, for your warm hospitality. Meeting everyone at Villabu is the greatest joy for both my husband and me. The Room, garden, reception area, restaurant, and even the path from the Room to reception are all beautiful and feel like a dream. It is our favorite place in Japan! We also visited the place you recommended on our last day. It was quiet and wonderful, and next time we would love to spend more time there at a slower pace. Thank you for your advice. We would love to visit again soon, and we look forward to seeing you next time as well.

Relax and indulge in luxury time

Although the cloudy weather kept us from being very active, relaxing in the Room while gazing at the sea right in front of us felt like a true luxury. When our reserved taxi didn’t show up at dinner time, the Accommodation staff kindly drove us, and we’re very grateful. The amenities were L’OCCITANE, which was a nice touch, though they were a bit difficult to use; having fixed bottle-type shampoo and conditioner would make it even more comfortable. This time we only had breakfast, but it was delicious—next time we’d definitely like to try dinner as well.

    We had a relaxing stay.

Thank you very much for taking such good care of us during our stay as a couple. We were truly satisfied with everything, including the Room and breakfast. The three different breakfast options were all especially delicious. Also, we really appreciated the Shuttle Service to the restaurant each evening for three days—it was a great help. Thank you for your warm hospitality. When we visit Irabu Island again, we would love to stay with you again. Thank you very much.

A resort so comfortable you'll want to return—or even move in!

The facility, service, location, and dining were all exceptional, leading us to decide on a repeat visit in six months. The private beach is located in a bay where sea turtles regularly come to feed. With naturally shaped land, crystal-clear waters, and convenient access from the hotel, it stands as a world-class beach. Conversations with the manager and staff were delightful, and for dinner during our three-night stay, we enjoyed Italian cuisine, creative Ryukyu courses, and barbecue—all delicious. The Italian chef's skills were outstanding; my only regret was not being able to enjoy alcohol due to a sore throat. The room was oceanfront with ensured privacy—a blissful time listening solely to the sound of waves. In addition to the excellence of Villa Resort itself, Miyako Island truly felt like "paradise," making it clear why it's said to have one of the fastest-growing populations among Japan's remote islands. To the manager and staff: thank you so much for your hospitality. We had an incredibly relaxing and comfortable family trip for three!

    So much fun!

I chose this place because there were no negative reviews, and it turned out to be a great decision. First, they picked us up from the airport, and since my spouse and I are baseball fans, they kindly stopped by Irabu Stadium where a practice game was taking place on the way to the Hotel. Upon arriving at the villa, we were warmly welcomed, and our luggage was brought to our room. From the front desk, you walk along an outdoor path to reach your room. Being a villa, there were some spiders or insects inside occasionally, but that’s expected when staying in such accommodations. They provided insect repellent as well. There were also complimentary beach sandals that we could take home; these came in handy for breakfast or walks. The welcome fruits upon arrival were delicious. The fridge had complimentary Orion beer and Sanpin tea which we enjoyed very much. The view from the room was stunning. Just outside the room were a pool, gazebo, beach beds—perfect for relaxing in great weather. One downside was that the bathroom and toilet were combined; it would have been better if they were separate. Breakfast on day one included a Miyako soba set while day two featured a Japanese-style set meal—both incredibly delicious with gentle flavors highlighting fresh ingredients. I wished I could have stayed another day to try their Western-style breakfast! The meals truly exceeded expectations! At night when going out of the Hotel premises with keys provided allowed easy access back into our room without needing to stop by reception again! During checkout process staff helped retrieve luggage loading them directly into car ensuring smooth departure experience making entire trip feel pleasant thanks largely due kind hospitality shown throughout stay! Thank You So Much!!

    A Memorable Villa

A spacious terrace with a pool, beautiful views, and a private beach provided a truly relaxing experience. After much consideration between Japanese cuisine and Italian, we opted for the Italian course dinner. While the portions were not large, the taste exceeded our expectations, making it well worth choosing the dinner-inclusive option. We are glad we chose Villa Brisa Resort as our accommodation for our first trip to Miyako Island.

    The BBQ was excellent.

Stayed for 3 nights during the New Year holidays. We had BBQ twice, and it was a lot of fun. We also grilled and ate the fish we caught. If I may suggest, since the accommodation fee is significantly higher during the New Year holidays, it would be nice if dinner upgrades were included without additional charges from the start.

    The private pool is amazing!

From the welcome drink to the final car preparation, everything was flawless. The food was delicious, and having breakfast every morning while gazing at the sea was truly rejuvenating. All the staff were friendly, making our stay comfortable and heartwarming. Thank you for an exceptional stay!

    Thank you very much.

I used it during her birthday trip. I ordered a surprise birthday cake, and they gladly accepted it and secretly brought it to the Room, making me feel the hospitality of all the staff. On the way back, I received chopstick rests made of coral and sea glass, which became a precious souvenir. I would like to use it again when I travel to Miyakojima and Irabujima. Thank you very much.

The view from the Room is amazing!

Stayed for two nights at the end of the year. The tree-lined path to the Room heightened my expectations, and upon entering the Room, it met those expectations. Especially, the horizon visible from the foot of the bed was a spectacular view. The BBQ we had at the gazebo was excellent in both scenery and atmosphere. The weather was best on the day of checkout, and the sea was calm, so we were able to snorkel at the beach. Irabu Island is seeing an increase in new villas, but this is a resort I would recommend.

    Hatsu Irabu Island

My first time in Miyako Island and Irabu Island. There is a Stays beyond the Irabu Bridge. As soon as we parked the rental car in the parking lot, the staff came and helped carry our luggage. The front is right in front of the sea! The staff is also courteous. (The staff from Iwate was very friendly with a wonderful smile) The Room is amazing. It's an ocean view. I've never seen such a beautiful sea before. The terrace has a gazebo and a private pool. The pool is seawater. The bathroom amenities are L'Occitane, which is great. There is also a private beach where we enjoyed collecting shells. As for the meals, as others have mentioned, considering the price, it could be a bit more luxurious. In terms of quantity, we were satisfied, but young people might feel it's a bit lacking. The Room and terrace are both wonderful, and we will definitely come back next time. It's a recommended Resort Hotel.

I'm glad my first visit to Miyako was here!

Even though we chose the end of October to the beginning of November to avoid the risk of typhoons and still enjoy the pool, a typhoon came unexpectedly! But we went anyway, out of sheer determination (laughs). The result was a great success!! The room and bath were clean and reassuring. The pool wasn't heated, but the combination of well water and seawater felt amazing!! The private beach was truly private, with no one but guests, and although we couldn't snorkel this time due to the typhoon, just relaxing with a beer in hand by the water's edge was fantastic! Above all, the manager and staff, who were all very humble, were the best. Especially Mr. I, who helped us during breakfast, thank you for the information on tourist spots. We were very happy with the souvenir you gave us. We realized that the detailed email responses before our stay were from the same person, which made sense (laughs). We will definitely visit again! Thank you very much!

    Birthday trip

I used it for his birthday. When I asked if they could place the presents and decorations as a surprise, they gladly accepted. We exchanged detailed emails in advance, and they decorated it very beautifully! I was anxious because it was my first surprise at a Hotel, but I was impressed by the very kind response. He was also very happy and grateful! The balcony was very spacious, and the barbecue outside was pleasant. The barbecue content was also quite plentiful and fulfilling! Thanks to the staff, it became the best surprise trip! I would like to use it again.

The terrace is very open, spacious, and comfortable.

Among the villas in Miyakojima, the terrace was by far the largest. I was very satisfied with the Room and the view. What was disappointing was the service and the meals. It didn't feel like service with a genuine smile, and when I checked in, the ashtray that was supposed to be brought wasn't, so when I called, the response was poor. Even during the conversation in the lobby, the staff spoke with their elbows on the counter, and I was told I had to take the towels to the front desk myself for exchange, so when I took them during breakfast, new towels were placed on an empty chair while I was still eating. There was no special send-off at checkout either. It might have been a coincidence, but it was very disappointing.

A bit disappointed with the meal.

The welcome fruit was glamorous with champagne, but the Ryukyu creative cuisine was simpler than expected. It might have been better to eat outside. Although there is a private beach and a pool, there is no facility to spin-dry or dry swimsuits... There is a laundry service, but it costs 1,000 yen, so I didn't use it. I think free laundry service would be more satisfying than welcome fruit. The terrace attached to the room was wonderful. It faced the private beach, allowing the sound of the waves to be heard, and it was spacious, providing a very relaxing experience while watching the starry sky.

Full of privacy, a perfect Resort Hotel

I used it for the first time with a Multiple Night Stay. For meals, I chose Italian at the restaurant on the first night and BBQ in the Room on the second night. Both were delicious, partly because of the upgrades. I also experienced breakfast on the private beach. Dining in an extraordinary space was a blissful moment. After meals, you can complete your stay within the Hotel by snorkeling on the private beach and then taking a swim in the Room's pool. As a Resort Hotel, everything was ideal. I am definitely repeating next year.

A paradise where you always want to stay

First of all, the location is amazing!! The service was kind and warm, and the overall feeling was good. The private beach was more colorful and vibrant with corals than any other private beach I've visited before, and it was beautiful... I was the only one on the beach, but I got to see a lot of fish living their lives. The pool in the Room was spacious, and I enjoyed the sunset slowly and fully. I had meals every morning and evening for all three nights. I was full and it was delicious, but I still wanted to eat fresh fish sashimi. There seemed to be a lot of grilled fish... It might be difficult on a remote island, but if you could create connections with fishermen and include dishes like today's fresh fish carpaccio or sashimi on the menu, it would be perfect. I believe in the day when Japan's territory is not invaded, and I can stay in this heavenly beautiful villa, and I will continue to do my best in my daily life!

We were attracted by the pool and beach for each building and decided to stay. Surrounded by trees, the enchanting lights at night created a wonderful atmosphere even when going to the restaurant. Everything was as expected from a Resort Hotel. It was a very happy trip.

We stayed for three nights for a late summer vacation and an early celebration of my husband's 60th birthday. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with generous portions that left us very satisfied. The celebratory dessert plate was cute, and my husband was very pleased! The creative Ryukyu course was extremely tasty, with each dish being uniquely presented, making it enjoyable to look at as well. (Thank you for accommodating my allergies with the ingredients and menu.) The room was spacious, and the garden was open and relaxing, allowing us to unwind comfortably. The hospitality from check-in to check-out was excellent, and all the staff were very pleasant. We were touched to receive handmade chopstick rests and freshly picked shikwasa at check-out. It was our first trip to Miyako Island and our first stay at Villa Brisa Resort, and it was perfect! (Thank you very much for answering our questions thoroughly before our stay.) We definitely want to stay again next time.
