    This was my second visit, and the meals were still delicious. The Onsen was clean, and I could relax and enjoy it at my own pace.

    Homey

    The location is excellent, it had a very homey atmosphere which was great! The private open-air bath was also wonderful. I would love to stay here again.

    The open-air bath in the detached room was excellent.

    I enjoyed the waters of the Arashiyama Onsen. The boar meat was also memorably delicious.

    Stays during the New Year

    The room was cold, and even with the heater on max, it didn't work at all, leaving us freezing. When we requested breakfast in a dining area instead of the room, the table was covered with stains, and the plates were dirty as well. The table looked visibly dirty, and it's puzzling why no one noticed. Since it was New Year's, the breakfast was traditional New Year's dishes, but the portions were small, and the soup was cold. There were several types of pickles, but no white rice, which made no sense. For the children's meal, there was no white rice either, leaving us wondering if it was forgotten or just not included. With no soup, it was just side dishes. I didn't even feel like asking about it, so I didn't. During dinner, most of the hot dishes were cold. There were very few reviews, which made me anxious, and my concerns were confirmed. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
