    Relax and unwind in a comfortable space.

    Having visited Hotel Setre for lunch before, I had long hoped to stay overnight along with dinner, and this time I finally did. The French dinner was excellent, perfectly showcasing the chef’s creative approach and commitment to ingredients from Hyogo Prefecture. The salmon fish course and the Kuroge Wagyu dish were especially memorable—both were fascinating in their use of ingredients and presentation. The soup was also outstanding, featuring corn “popcorn” inside. The staff provided courteous explanations throughout, which made the experience very pleasant. (A small disappointment—although we had time so it wasn’t a major issue—was that perhaps because our start time overlapped with other guests, some dishes arrived slowly midway through the meal, and at times drinks took a while or didn’t arrive even after ordering.) As for the stay itself, the Room was beautifully renovated and very comfortable. I had seen Reviews mentioning that the bathroom facilities were not well regarded, but perhaps those referred to before the renovation? Everything was very clean and easy to use. Also, when I made my Reservation on IKYU, only a four-person Room was available so I booked it reluctantly; however, when a twin became available the day before, I contacted the Hotel directly and they kindly changed it for me—I really appreciated that. It’s a place where simply gazing at the blue sea makes you feel as if life’s weight fades away. I was able to truly relax here, and I would love to return.

    The Room and meals were both excellent.

    The view from the Room was wonderful and the meals were delicious, but it was a little disappointing that the Awaji Island-shaped plate at dinner was chipped.

    It was amazing!

    Thank you very much for a wonderful day the other day. Checking in through gardens in full seasonal bloom was a delight, and your bright, courteous service immediately put us at ease. The Room with a front-row view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge was spacious and spotless, and everything stood out as exceptional among all the Hotels and Accommodations we have visited so far; we could truly feel the Hotel’s thoughtful hospitality everywhere we looked. We had dinner in Kobe City and only breakfast at the Hotel, but the in-room breakfast was absolutely delicious. We happened to make a Reservation at this Hotel for our trip to Kobe, but thanks to the heartfelt care shown by all of your staff, we were able to spend a day that will remain a cherished memory. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much to everyone on the staff.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    The Room number on the key I received at the front desk was not shown on the floor map, so I asked a staff member who happened to be near the elevator. The Room was at the far west end, and I only saw the number once I reached it, which surprised me a little. The Room had a great view, was clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was also delicious. Thank you for your thoughtful attention to the ingredients. The lounge offered an outdoor view from a different angle than my Room, and I used it many times during my stay. Overall, it was great value for money and I had a very pleasant time.

    Delicious breakfast.

    Back at Setre after a while. The Room was beautifully refreshed and very clean, which was great. The view from the window is still amazing—I could watch it forever. There are chairs on the terrace and a stand-style table where you can place drinks. It’s stylish, though personally I prefer reclining chairs. Still, younger guests will probably love it for taking photos. Breakfast was delicious before, but this time it was definitely even better. It’s delivered as a picnic-style in-Room service, but the salad and soup were high quality. The small tiered boxes were all tasty as well—and the bread was excellent. It made me want to come back just for this breakfast. The service also kept a comfortable distance and felt very relaxing. Thank you very much.

    There was no TV.

    This was my second stay. I thought there was a TV the last time I stayed... but there wasn’t one this time. Without a TV, it was hard to pass the time, so I don’t think I’ll stay again. Breakfast didn’t include orange juice, and going to the lounge to get it felt like too much hassle since I’d have to take the elevator, so I just went without. Orange juice was shown in the breakfast photos, though. Overall, it ended up being a bit of a disappointing second stay.

    So disappointing...

    The view is outstanding, but the service was quite disappointing. It didn’t feel worth the price. The restaurant staff were good. It’s best not to expect much from the lounge drinks. I’d at least like to have draft beer in a proper glass—paper cups were surprising. I think it should be clearly stated that there is no TV in the Room; apparently it was removed during renovations. Maybe my expectations were too high, but despite the great view and convenient location, several things were disappointing. However, a nearby day-use Onsen was very clean and comfortable, and I’m glad I stopped by on the way home.

    Escape the everyday and relax.

    We had a wonderful stay as a family. The accommodation is located right in front of the sea with a view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and we were soothed by the scenery from our room and the club lounge. The all-inclusive service was excellent, with local snacks and drinks available in the lounge, which added a nice regional touch. Dinner was delicious, with beautifully presented dishes made using plenty of ingredients from Awaji Island, allowing us to appreciate the charm of the local area. We also enjoyed wine pairings that complemented each dish perfectly. The staff provided warm hospitality, engaging with our children and checking on us during meals, which made us feel very welcome. This is an accommodation we would love to visit again in another season!

    Always a relaxing experience.

    The view from the room is amazing, so I have stayed here multiple times. During a multiple night stay, the breakfast menu changes daily, which was very nice. I look forward to staying here again.

    I was able to experience something extraordinary.

    First of all, the view from the room is amazing, and with the all-inclusive service, you can enjoy several types of drinks and snacks upon check-in. Enjoying a drink while listening to the CDs provided in the room, with the breathtaking view from the room, allowed me to spend a relaxing and extraordinary time. The most impressive part of this stay was the breakfast provided through room service. They brought a box containing several types of dishes in the morning, and it came with instructions suggesting you could eat them as they are or put them in a sandwich, allowing you to enjoy various textures while eating. The dinner, too, has always been satisfying in terms of taste and presentation, no matter when you visit, and although it was my first stay, I was thoroughly satisfied with the experience. It has become a place I want to visit again when I want to feel an extraordinary experience.

    The service and hosp...

    The service and hospitality were very good! The lounge was available 24 hours, and I was able to relax a bit in the lounge even after checking out. The view from the Room was also wonderful. However, I was a bit concerned about something like mold in the bathtub, and the shower only trickled, which was a bit troublesome. I would like to stay again, so I hope for improvements!

    I had a very comfortable stay.

    The sea and Akashi Kaikyo Bridge are right in front. The view was wonderful, and the room was spacious and very comfortable. Since the lounge was next door, I used it as a substitute for a refrigerator. The food was delicious, with every sauce being tasty, and the wine was paired with the dishes, which left me extremely satisfied. I was able to relax very much. Thank you. I will use it again if I have the opportunity.
