Completely different from the photos, very disappointing.

The trip I had been looking forward to turned out to be disappointing. The room was nothing like the photos, with the toilet and sink far from clean and outdated. The hinoki bath was small, discolored, and unappealing to touch. The scenery outside resembled a ruin, with bare branches looking dirty rather than picturesque. Despite the beautiful rivers and landscapes seen along the way, sitting on a chair with holes in it while facing such bleak views was unbearable. Since payment had already been made by card in advance, I decided to check out without having any meals. However, I was stopped on my way out and told there were additional charges to pay in cash. Even though I didn’t use or see the Onsen water at all, I still had to pay the Hot Spring Tax before leaving. Unable to eat lunch or dinner during my stay left me hungry for hours as I spent four hours traveling back home. After unpacking my luggage upon returning home, I paid my pet sitter as agreed so as not to inconvenience them further. Despite this experience, there has been no follow-up communication from the accommodation since then.
