    I’d love to stay here again.

    Because I often stay at the Metropolitan near Tokyo Station, I chose the Metropolitan in Takasaki for the same sense of comfort and reliability. It’s reasonably priced for a city Hotel, but I was impressed by the thoughtful touches: a large box of tissues, a hand mirror, reusable coasters, and more—small things that made the stay very comfortable. From the window I could watch the Shinkansen arriving and departing, which was great. Above all, I loved that the pillow had different materials on each side; since I’m not a fan of feather pillows, that made me very happy. The only issue was that the Hotel entrance was hard to find (maybe it was just me!). You use an elevator inside the connected shops from the station, but even though it’s so close to the station, I still got lost. The Room was very cozy. Thank you very much.

    It may depend on the Room, but since the refrigerator was near the entrance, it was inconvenient to go back and forth to the doorway each time. Also, the damp smell from the shower curtain in the bathroom was quite strong. I think that should be improved. The location was excellent, they stored my luggage in advance, and both check-in and check-out were smooth.

    I was very satisfied...

    I was very satisfied with both the Room and the service. I arrived by car and initially wondered if it would be inconvenient to park at the east exit even though the Hotel is at the west exit, but it turned out to be very convenient. Since I used the station when coming and going, it was easy to buy souvenirs or return extra luggage to my car smoothly. It was disappointing that guests cannot make a Reservation for parking (as the lot gets crowded on weekends, I thought it might be difficult to park again after leaving during a Multiple Night Stay), but I would like to stay here again next time.

    Conveniently connected directly to the station, and very clean.

    I stayed one night on a business trip. Since the Hotel is directly connected to the station, I arrived without needing an umbrella, and check-in was smooth. As the restaurant was not open at dinner time, I ate at a restaurant in the station building. The Room was clean, and the bed was made so neatly that it was obvious at a glance that the sheets had been changed. Amenities include basic items such as cotton swabs, a shower cap, toothbrushes, and razors, but women will need to bring their own skincare items like toner and lotion. Breakfast featured a selection of handmade dishes and was very delicious. I would like to stay here again when I visit Takasaki.

    Attentive and courteous service

    It was very convenient with direct access to the station. They also offer luggage storage, so I didn’t need to use the station coin lockers at all. The lobby is spacious and has plenty of sofas, making it easy to relax while waiting. Above all, the Hotel staff were polite and made my stay very pleasant.

    Had a perfectly balanced and pleasant stay at the accommodation.

    The bathroom is spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The breakfast was delicious, making the stay very enjoyable. Personally, I was delighted that the hairdryer was a high-quality Panasonic model.

    Complaints only

    Expensive but the Room is small!! Air conditioning is not great!! The restaurant for dinner was closed!! Expensive but the view outside the Room is just a building wall!!

    Stayed for consecutive nights for concerts. Conveniently located next to the station, the room was clean, though the window view was nothing special. The staff responded promptly to my inquiry about a forgotten item, allowing me to make it to the concert on time. Metropolitan Hotel is a reliable choice for trips to Takasaki Arts Theater. I’ll be back again!

    Conveniently located.

    Directly connected to Takasaki Station, offering a very convenient location. I have used this place several times, and this time I stayed in an Economy Twin Room, which was compact and well-organized. The bathroom is a unit bath, but the bathtub is spacious, allowing for a relaxing soak.

    Excellent location

    First time using for a short stay. Due to early morning errands and unstable weather, choosing this directly connected hotel was the right decision. While amenities were minimal, the Room was clean, and the air purifier made the smell in the smoking Room less noticeable. However, the overly formal and emotionless response from the male staff at reception was a bit disappointing.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    Thoughtful details were provided in the room. Both the room and the bathroom were spacious, allowing for a relaxing and restful stay. The breakfast was lightly seasoned, with plenty of vegetables, and very delicious. There were also courier service forms available in the room, which was helpful when sending my suitcase.

    Unfortunate Incident

    I hesitated to post this, but I will write under the condition of non-disclosure. In the hallway leading to the Room, some people were relaxing and drinking beer. There was no incident, but considering recent events, it felt a bit unsettling. While it's understandable to drink in your Room, having a gathering in the hallway was surprising.

    Stayed for two night...

    Stayed for two nights with a breakfast plan. The room was simple, clean, and comfortable. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to fully enjoy the breakfast. I would like to use it again when I go to Takasaki.

    It was great that it was directly connected to the station.

    The Room was cleaned nicely, and LAN cables and charging cords were also provided. The breakfast was delicious, and I felt the cost performance was good.

    I used IKYU again af...

    I used IKYU again after a long time. In the past, when I made restaurant reservations, my family and friends would always thank me for booking wonderful places with great value. In reality, I was simply using Reviews as a reference when making Reservations. This time, since my husband loves trains, I made a Reservation hoping we might be able to see them from the room. However, when we opened the window, it faced behind an AEON building—there was no view outside, just a wall—so he was disappointed. For me, it actually worked out well because I tend to feel uncomfortable if people can see in from outside. Breakfast was a buffet and started at 6:30 a.m., which is great for guests who need to leave early. If it started at 7:00 a.m., people on tours or catching limited express trains can’t afford to be late and might end up skipping breakfast altogether, so having it start 30 minutes earlier is really helpful (though I imagine it’s tough for the staff preparing everything). Also, the curry had konjac in it—it was delicious and healthy—so I ended up eating quite a lot. We were glad we stayed here. Thank you very much.

    This time, I was upgraded to a larger bed. Additionally, the bedding was the one promoted by player Ohtani (Ootani), so it was comfortable.

    I had a very comfort...

    I had a very comfortable stay. Even if you arrive late, it's safe and secure as it's directly connected to the station. The Room also has a sense of cleanliness. Since I was on a business trip, the desk in the Room was spacious and bright, making it easy and comfortable to work. The breakfast was fresh and delicious with local ingredients, and it was fun to compare different types of rice. I think it would be even more enjoyable if there were a bit more promotion, advertisement, and explanation of local specialties and ingredients.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    Although it was a rainy day, there are two affiliated parking lots, and one of them can be reached without an umbrella through the station's free passage and shopping mall, which was helpful. The staff's response was courteous and above average, and the cleaning of the room and bath was satisfactory. I was able to spend my time comfortably and was satisfied.

    The breakfast is very delicious.

    Whenever I stay in Takasaki, I always stay at this Hotel. The convenience of being directly connected to the station, the excellent service of the staff, the quietness despite being in front of the station, and the luxurious breakfast with local vegetables and dishes prepared every time, along with a rich menu, make everything delicious.

    The front desk staff was very pleasant, courteous, and wonderful at check-in. It was a short stay plan, but I hope to stay longer next time.
