    We had struggled to ...

    We had struggled to find an Accommodation around Minami-Izu that really appealed to us, but this one was excellent. It’s very close to Shimoda Station, making it easy to get to the beach. We stayed for two nights, and dinner was wonderful on both evenings. In the morning, we head out early for snorkeling, so a Plan without breakfast was exactly what we wanted. On the other hand, compared with Atami, there are fewer places to eat at night around Shimoda Station, so a Plan with dinner included was very convenient. The Onsen is in each Room, but I think it would be better if it were a bit larger.

    The Room, the Onsen, the meals, and the hospitality—everything was truly wonderful. I definitely want to visit again. Thank you very much for such a lovely time.

    Please let me stay again.

    The food was delicious. However, I wish we could have had a bit more time to eat at a relaxed pace. Also, it would be nice if the staff were a little more friendly. I was also concerned that explanations sometimes felt insufficient. A bit more in the way of smiles and hospitality would be appreciated.

    I had a comfortable stay from start to finish.

    I was very satisfied to be able to enjoy the Onsen in a relaxing and quiet setting. The staff were warm and accommodating, even helping with a surprise. I would like to stay here again when I visit Shimoda.

    It was very relaxing.

    I wanted to spend a relaxing New Year, so I took the Odoriko train and visited. It’s close to the station. The accommodation is old but very clean and well-maintained. The meals were luxurious and delicious, though I regret not being able to finish them all. It was hard for my whole family to get time off together, so it ended up being during New Year’s, but I’d love to visit again when it gets warmer and enjoy the onsen at leisure. I could move from the indoor bath to the open-air bath and enjoyed many baths before relaxing in my room. At the very end of our stay, I forgot my suitcase, and just as I thought "oh no," my daughter realized she had left her phone in the room as well. Despite it being a busy time with cleaning and preparing for new guests, everyone kindly helped us search for it. They even waved goodbye until we were out of sight from the accommodation—thank you so much for your kindness during that time! I overheard someone in the neighboring room making their reservation for next year, which made perfect sense after experiencing such hospitality myself. When I feel like relaxing again, I'll make sure to come back with an empty stomach!

    Worth the extra trip.

    Took the Odoriko train to Shimoda this time instead of just Hakone with the Romancecar... It was worth the trip. Relaxing time with a private Onsen in the room and in-room dining. It's rare to find accommodations offering in-room dining these days, which is much appreciated. A heated table (kotatsu) in winter? Makes me want to visit again!

    Not modern, but offers high-quality and consistent service. The sashimi is delicious, and the tempura is also excellent. A variety of dishes are served, keeping the meal enjoyable without getting boring. The sake is delightful as well. Above all, the private open-air bath is truly relaxing. The friendly staff adds to the charm. Although it’s a small Ryokan with no extensive Facilities, it provides a highly satisfying experience. Thank you very much!

    It was a Ryokan where you could feel the seasons.

    The building may be slightly old, but the Room is spacious, clean, and designed with large sliding glass windows at the front, providing a sense of openness that doesn't feel outdated. Beyond that lies an open-air bath and a garden, making it a very pleasant Room. On the night of the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, there were handmade dumplings and pampas grass displayed in the alcove, which was deeply moving for my generation. The meals were also excellent with fresh sashimi, allowing me to enjoy a very relaxing and wonderful holiday.
