    Great.

    I stayed in Room 311 in GATEI, and the tatami floor creaked a lot, so it might bother some people. Other than that, everything was very good. The bath was hot and kept me warm afterward, which felt great. There is a sauna, but no cold plunge pool, so you can’t use it the same way as a typical public bathhouse. The sulfur Onsen had quite a strong smell, though I thought that added to the atmosphere in its own way. The smell does linger throughout the Hotel, though. I only had breakfast, but it was very satisfying—especially the miso soup.

    The service was excellent, and the Onsen was truly amazing, warming me to the core and allowing for a comfortable sleep. I woke up feeling more refreshed than usual the next morning. I would love to visit again when going to Tsukioka Onsen.

    This is my sixth vis...

    This is my sixth visit. The quality of the Onsen water is excellent, comparable to Kusatsu Onsen. I am always very satisfied. Since the current dining style started, every ingredient has been incredibly delicious, and I end up eating too much. I look forward to visiting again next time.

    The Onsen was excellent.

    On the way to the Hotel, I was surprised to see swans gathered in the rice fields. I visited after watching a TV program and looking forward to enjoying the Onsen. The Onsen had a light green color with smooth and soothing water. It was wonderful to relax and bathe at leisure. The meals were also delicious. However, it was disappointing that the sushi at the dinner buffet came only as a set of three pieces, with no option to change combinations or quantities.

    We enjoyed a luxurious 3-day stay.

    Stayed for 2 nights and 3 days starting October 26. To celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, we stayed in the "Kocho" suite on the 7th floor of Miyabi-kan, featuring the largest open-air bath in "GENJI-Ka." The moment we entered the room, we were amazed! Not only was there a spacious Japanese-style room, but also a Japanese-Western bedroom and a dining table for four with beautiful Japanese aesthetics. The panoramic open-air bath was incredible, especially soaking in it during the chilly weather. We enjoyed drinks and traditional sweets at the exclusive lounge on this floor. Meals were buffet-style using local ingredients, and our dinner plan included unlimited alcoholic beverages. The Onsen had emerald green water with a strong sulfur scent that left our skin feeling smooth. The staff provided attentive service throughout our stay, making it an absolutely satisfying experience.

    While the accommodat...

    While the accommodation does feel a bit dated, the entire facility was very clean! Here are a few points I hope can be improved compared to other accommodations: - **Guest Room** The refrigerator was an older ryokan type with drinks already inside. Since there are several vending machines in the facility, it would have been nice to have an empty space instead. Also, there were not enough power outlets, so if staying with three or more people, having an extension cord would be convenient. - **Onsen Basket** There were no plastic bags provided for wet towels. Considering how great the onsen facilities are, small thoughtful touches like this would be appreciated. - **Large Public Bath** The women's "Bijin no Yu" dressing room (especially around the sink area) was too hot. The heat from hair dryers made it even worse, and despite taking a bath, I ended up sweating... Adding another fan would help improve comfort. - **Buffet Venue** The carts for trays could only hold one tray at a time. Since many families with children use this venue, carts that can hold two trays would be much more convenient. - **Room Key** Only one key is provided per room. With different bathing times for men and women, having two keys available would be more practical; however, upon checking with staff they confirmed only one key is issued per room. These were my main concerns! Other than that: The meals were absolutely delicious—both dinner and breakfast exceeded expectations! Even our kids enjoyed their meals so much they went back for seconds! Additionally, perhaps because it was summer vacation season? There were plenty of events held within the facility which we thoroughly enjoyed as a family! Although most of the staff seemed young, their hospitality felt very professional—it seemed like they had undergone thorough training as everyone provided excellent service! Lastly—and this might just be personal preference—the majority of guests appeared to be Japanese (we didn’t notice any inbound tourists), which allowed us to relax without unnecessary stress after quite some time away from such experiences!

    The meals were excellent.

    The meals were absolutely fantastic. Both breakfast and dinner were served as a buffet, featuring carefully prepared local ingredients that left a lasting impression. For dinner, it was delightful to have freshly made dishes like hot pot and steak prepared upon order. The rich texture of the Onsen water and the serene rural landscape around also provided a soothing experience.

    Safe for families with children

    We took our 10-month-old child with us. There were various considerations during meals and other times, which was helpful. Adults were also able to relax and unwind in the Onsen with good water quality. Tsukioka Onsen in Niigata is nice.

    At the Blissful Beautiful Women's Hot Spring

    The clean space was refreshing, but it was unfortunate that I couldn't relax due to the noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms. The bath changing room was very clean and had a great sense of cleanliness, which was satisfying. Additionally, I appreciated the carefully prepared meals.
