    A great Hotel near the station

    It was a nice Hotel conveniently located near the station. The Room key was a standard key rather than a modern card, which gave it a pleasantly retro feel. It feels more like the area’s main Hotel than a Business Hotel. It is about a 3-minute walk from Hotel Metropolitan Morioka, which is directly connected to the station.

    I was able to relax and enjoy a quiet stay.

    The front desk staff were very courteous. Close to the station and convenient. There was a notice in the Room with staff-selected recommended restaurants, which was helpful. We also used the Japanese restaurant for lunch; it was calm and quiet, and reasonably priced. If I had to mention one drawback, I wish the breakfast buffet had a bit more variety.

    I always stay here when I’m on a business trip. All of the staff are kind and professional, as expected. The breakfast restaurant also opens a little earlier, which is very helpful. I look forward to staying with you again.

    There is a notable lack of hospitality and respect for guests at the front desk.

    Neither check-in nor check-out felt attentive to guests until the end. They did not even offer a proper greeting while doing data entry and other tasks. They gave off an air of being too busy. This made it feel like a lower-tier Hotel. I did not find any advantages in the Facility, amenities, guest rooms, or anything else. I probably will not use it again.

    I had a pleasant stay.

    The front desk kindly accommodated a last-minute change, and I had a very pleasant stay. The Room was spacious and clean, and I also liked that the furnishings were bright rather than overly subdued. I will stay here again.

    I love it.

    This is my second stay, and I love everything—the delicious breakfast, the spacious Room, and the cleanliness. I also like that the drop-off area is wide and easy to use, even when a friend comes to pick me up by car. I would like to stay here again next time.

    Conveniently located near the station, and I was satisfied with the staff’s service.

    I stay here from time to time. The staff are pleasant and helpful, and I’m very satisfied. The Room is relaxing, so it’s nice to check in early and spend time reading. It feels more spacious and comfortable than a typical Business Hotel, and the rates are very reasonable. Highly satisfied.

    First-time user.

    I have stayed at the main building several times, but this was my first time staying in the wing, so I was looking forward to it. The furnishings were excellent, and I felt comfortable during my stay. However, it was disappointing to find a lot of mold in the bathroom. There was also visible mold around the sink in the wash area. I asked the front desk for assistance with operating the TV, but neither mirroring nor another function worked—it seems to be a system issue. I hope improvements will be made as I would like to stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    I don't want to say this, but...

    The bathroom cleaning was poor, and body hair from previous guests was left behind. There were also red lipstick stains on the sheets.

    Comfortable.

    I always use this place for business trips. Breakfast starting at 6:30 is very convenient. I enjoy a stress-free stay in the lovely Room. Thank you as always!

    Close to downtown and a great location.

    Dinner was eaten outside, so I cannot comment on it, but the breakfast had a wide variety of options and was very delicious.

    The Japanese cuisine was delicious.

    I stayed here during my trip to Sanriku. I booked a Deluxe Twin, and the Room was spacious with a separate shower booth in the bathroom, making it very comfortable. Of course, the cleaning was thorough as well. For dinner, I dined at "Taitsuru" inside the facility, and both the portion and content were excellent—more satisfying than dining out elsewhere.

    Located near the station. A convenient Hotel for sightseeing.

    Conveniently located near the station, making it easy to access anywhere in Morioka City. The Hotel feels a bit dated in terms of the Facility, but the omelet from the live kitchen at breakfast was delicious. As a city Hotel, it is more than adequate. The next day, we visited Koiwai Farm, which was also conveniently close to the Hotel.

    The futon in the Deluxe Room feels damp.

    The most important thing, the bedding, was uncomfortable! I've never experienced such unpleasant bedding before. There are hardly any good points about this Hotel. The bathroom had a shower room and was easy to use, though. I couldn't help but compare it to the premium room A type at Shion I stayed in the next day, where the bedding was excellent. Please explain why the bedding felt damp.

    Bath temperature adjustment dial malfunction?

    Stayed for 2 nights. It was good to have the option to choose between full cleaning, amenity replenishment only, or no service. However, when I selected amenity replenishment, not only towels and water but also items like slippers and combs that didn’t necessarily need replacing were included in abundance. Unless a system is implemented where guests can request specific items for replacement or replenishment as seen in other Hotels, it may appear less eco-friendly than intended. The bath temperature adjustment dial was set at 41°C, but the water turned out extremely hot when filled as is. I had to discard about one-third of it and add cold water. Upon checking the temperature adjustment dial, it seemed to spin freely without functioning properly, suggesting a malfunction. As for breakfast, there were several local specialties and handmade dishes from the Hotel kitchen which showed effort; however, the quality of main dishes like grilled fish for Japanese meals or sausages and bacon for Western meals was disappointing. Additionally, there were some basic oversights such as no small bowls near the salad bar for serving or no stirrers next to takeout coffee cups—these areas need improvement too.

    The service was polite, cheerful, and delightful.

    Thank you for your warm and attentive service. I truly appreciated the quick provision of materials and your kind assistance with city walking plans. The rental bicycles being available right at the hotel entrance was very convenient. Being close to the station made it easy to enjoy sightseeing on the last day after leaving our luggage behind. On a hot day, I was able to quickly change in the restroom before heading home, which wouldn’t have been possible at a station restroom. However, there were a few inconveniences: there were not enough power outlets, and since it wasn’t an electronic lock but a single key, it was slightly inconvenient for two people staying together when one person needed access while the other was in the bath or during similar situations.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    It was my first time in Morioka, and the Hotel was conveniently located near the station. The Room and bed were spacious, allowing me to relax comfortably. The breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options, and I was especially impressed by the freshly made sunny-side-up eggs with crispy edges, cooked individually. The Hotel staff provided helpful information about sightseeing spots and recommended a great cold noodle restaurant, making my short stay efficient and enjoyable. However, it was disappointing that there wasn’t a relaxing space with sofas in the lobby area on the first floor; instead, it was entirely occupied by a paid café.

    I was deeply moved.

    The building itself has a sense of legacy, but it gave the impression of being well-maintained. As a result, it is a very nice Hotel, and I would like to stay again. I did not expect newspapers to be placed in each Room.

    By motorcycle!

    I stayed here during my motorcycle trip around Japan! I think the Hotel is wonderful, with a touch of elegance. I felt a bit sorry for wandering around the lobby with my luggage as a motorcyclist. Out of 37 stays during my trip, this was the only Hotel that charged for motorcycle parking. The free voucher offered had an expiration date of just one month, which was meaningless for someone like me traveling from afar. It would have been nice if it had been extended to a year as a special gesture—even if just as a kind lie—it would have made me happy and eager to return! Such a shame! But I don’t dislike this Hotel at all!

    Used for a family trip.

    I stayed at the accommodation during my trip, and its location was convenient for city sightseeing. The accommodation fee was satisfactory considering the quality of the hotel. The breakfast menu exceeded standard expectations, but the dining area was small, requiring about a 10-minute wait to be seated, during which I had to wait on chairs outside.

    Everything you need is provided.

    A clean and well-maintained Hotel. It has a slightly retro feel but was very comfortable. A reading light would have been a nice addition. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly high-quality, with excellent ingredients and delicious flavors. Even the pre-cooked sunny-side-up eggs were very tasty. The bread was also great. I wondered if the yogurt and milk came from Koiwai Farm!

    It was an older but good Hotel.

    The Metropolitan Hotel is a bit of a walk from the station. There are no convenience stores nearby, giving it a slightly quiet atmosphere. In Morioka, crossing intersections via underground passages can be inconvenient. The hotel itself is somewhat old-fashioned but clean and sufficient. The front desk staff provided good service.

    A reliable Hotel.

    The Metropolitan near the station is a Hotel I use in other prefectures as well. This time, I made a Reservation with confidence in the quality of Metropolitan. Although I thought the scale of this Hotel might be smaller compared to others, the service from the front desk and staff was excellent, allowing me to have a comfortable stay. Thank you for promptly arranging my friend's Room on short notice this time.

    This is my third vis...

    This is my third visit, following November 2024 and February 2025. Morioka is pleasantly surrounded by the Kitakami River and mountains, including Mt. Iwate, at just the right intervals and heights. The city seems to have a relatively large number of coffee shops, which blend well with its culture and architecture. I stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room with breakfast all three times. The corner room was spacious enough, offering a wonderful view outside that was very relaxing. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast—plenty of fresh vegetables, delicious milk, and yogurt. The bath was generally good but unfortunately not an Onsen. The hotel's service is quiet yet comfortable; they handle requests politely and efficiently, which I appreciate. I look forward to visiting again in another suitable season!

    The breakfast buffet menu on the second morning is the same as the first.

    ■ The lack of variety in the menu may feel insufficient for guests on a Multiple Night Stay. The only noticeable change was the potato salad in the salad corner being replaced with macaroni the next morning. Additionally, as there are only large plates available, it would be helpful to have salad bowls, small plates, or deep dishes. ■ There are few main dishes offered. Among the limited juice options, the apple juice was too diluted, and the curry was not tasty. For yogurt toppings, there were only honey and sugar available without any fruit sauce. ■ In the Room's coffee machine setup for two cups, there was only one sugar packet provided and no cream included. ■ The bathtub floor is slippery and should definitely be improved for safety reasons. The staff at reception, restaurant, and cleaning services were all very pleasant and left a positive impression during our stay here as well as during our previous visit to this Accommodation. Thank you for your hospitality!

    The buffet was excellent.

    I honestly didn't have high expectations for breakfast, but it exceeded them. The highlight was having omelets freshly made right in front of us, which was a delightful surprise. They even recommended the best way to enjoy it, and I ended up eating more than I planned. Since we were a family of three, the Room felt a bit small, but overall we were satisfied.

    The corner Room overlooking the Kitakami River is good.

    After staying for the first time in several years, I enjoyed the corner Room overlooking the Kitakami River with its spacious layout. The breakfast buffet was full of vegetables, and the milk and yogurt were rich and wonderful. Satisfied. Satisfied.
