    Revisiting after more than a decade

    While deciding where to go for our wedding anniversary, we ended up staying again at Green Plaza, where we held our ceremony, for the first time in a while. The Room was the same Asian Suite as back then. Thank you for the flower basket we requested and the gift from the Hotel. However, there was a musty smell in the Room, and I think the deck screen door may need re-screening and adjustment. The hot spring water quality in the large public bath was excellent. At the buffet, we enjoyed freshly baked apple pie and smaller portions of sushi made to order on the spot, so we could try a variety of items. It also seems that various renovations are underway.

    It was amazing!

    Four of us stayed here on a girls’ trip. We booked a guaranteed Mt. Fuji view Room and were thrilled to see such a beautiful Mt. Fuji! The Room had a nostalgic Showa-era feel, but it came with basic amenities and tea, and since we only stayed one night and didn’t spend much time in the Room, it was more than sufficient. The meals (with breakfast and dinner included) were delicious, and there was so much food we couldn’t finish it all even though we wanted to try more. In the morning, we could hear Japanese bush warblers singing, which felt wonderfully refreshing, and seeing majestic Mt. Fuji made it an unforgettable memory! If we have the chance, we’d love to visit again.

    The meals were delic...

    The meals were delicious, and the staff were kind. I felt the open-air bath was quite different from the photos (men’s bath). I wondered if the photos were of the women’s bath, so I checked with my wife, but it still seemed different. I also think the bathroom/toilet photo may be a reversed image (Fuji-view Japanese-Western room). Also, please clearly mention that there is a back route from Ubako Station. Not knowing this, I walked along the road for about 10 minutes. It’s very close to the station and convenient, and I would like to stay again if I have another opportunity.

    While the property shows its age in various places, there were no particular issues and overall we were satisfied. Above all, seeing Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath is a rare experience, so this is an Accommodation I would definitely recommend.

    There are too many foreign guests.

    We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath. It was heated water, but we were glad we could see Mt. Fuji. The Hotel itself was fine and fairly standard, but the bathing manners of some foreign guests were extremely poor: entering while wearing underwear, entering with a bath towel wrapped around them, getting into the Onsen without washing first, and being noisy. We mentioned this at checkout, but it would be better to explain proper bathing etiquette to foreign guests. The bath experience was stressful.

    The open-air bath was amazing—I could soak while looking at Mt. Fuji. It was the middle of a winter night, but it kept me wonderfully warm. The service was also excellent. Owakudani is nearby as well, and we had a great trip.

    Hotel for Repeat Guests

    This is my second stay, and it is a cost-effective Hotel. The Facility is generally old, but the breakfast and dinner buffet had a wide variety of dishes, which was satisfying. However, the Room has a somewhat nostalgic vibe. The bath offers views of Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath, but unfortunately, it was cloudy on this day. I would love to visit this Hotel again.

    Would love to visit again.

    This was my first time using this service. My friend had possibly lost a pouch, but each staff member responded very kindly, leaving us with a warm feeling. Thank you so much. Additionally, the live piano performance was wonderful and truly captivating. I would definitely love to use this service again. Thank you!

    Like other hotels, there were many foreign staff members, but their service was not overbearing. Everyone provided very pleasant assistance, allowing for a relaxed and comfortable stay. The sweets were a bit hard to grab, but the buffet-style meals were delicious. Considering the rising accommodation costs everywhere, it was satisfactory in terms of cost performance as well.

    Hakone Trip for Three Women

    There was piano music in the evening, and the meals had a wide variety of options, which was very satisfying. However, despite staying as a group of three, only two bottles of water were provided in the room. While we appreciated the complimentary service, it would have been better to have one per person. When we asked the staff, they explained that two bottles were standard according to their policy. Considering we paid for three guests' accommodation fees, it felt a bit unreasonable. The toilet and sink were combined in one area with cloth towels provided for use. Since these are shared among guests, paper towels might be more suitable. All staff members were very kind and helpful—thank you!

    First Visit, Accommodation

    It was great. The Facility feels a bit old, but I think it is well-maintained. The meals were also excellent. I was surprised to find four types of individual hot pots prepared, and of course, it was all-you-can-eat. It was unfortunate that I couldn't see Mt. Fuji due to the cloudy weather. I'll try again next time!

    I had a Multiple Night Stay.

    I stayed here for one night during the COVID-19 pandemic and decided to visit again. Luggage handling and futon setup in Japanese-style rooms are all self-service, but considering the price, I found it reasonable (those accustomed to other hotels might want to keep this in mind). Welcome drinks were available in the lobby during morning and evening hours, which my family enjoyed several times. Fortunately, we could see Mt. Fuji both from the bath and our room. It was summer, so we didn’t expect it, making it a delightful surprise. For meals, an early reservation came with a complimentary drink service. Since there was a drink bar for children, adults made use of this service instead. The dinner buffet had slightly different menus on the first and second days, so even with a multiple night stay, we were satisfied (the apple pie served during time-limited service was delicious). Although it's an older hotel, I felt that daily maintenance is well taken care of. However, in our room: - The faucet at the sink required pressing to release water but felt slightly stiff. - A part of the tatami floor had some sagging. Both were minor concerns but worth noting nonetheless. If given another opportunity, I would love to stay here again!

    Affordable Accommodation with a View of Mount Fuji

    The Room was clean and functional. Additionally, the view of Mount Fuji from the Room was a big plus. The bath had nice hot water. As for meals, since it was a buffet, I didn't have high expectations, but it wasn't bad at all. There were options like sukiyaki and several types of hot pots, which made it enjoyable.

    We stayed as a three-generation family and had a wonderful time. The Onsen and the view from the open-air bath were fantastic. Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, which we enjoyed. However, when we asked for assistance to light the fire for the hot pot, a foreign female staff member did not respond verbally and only gestured with her hand, which left us feeling uncomfortable. Other staff members, regardless of nationality, were very kind and accommodating.

    Repeat guaranteed

    First Visit to Hakone Green Plaza Surprised by the temperature difference due to the high altitude—it's a summer day, but pleasantly cool. The Hotel has a slightly old and classical exterior, but the Onsen offers an amazing location with views of Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath. Dinner was a buffet with a wide variety of dishes, which was very satisfying. However, I felt that the breakfast buffet was slightly lacking. Overall, my family enjoyed it as well, so it was a great experience!

    Open-air Bath

    Stayed for the purpose of enjoying the view of Mt. Fuji from the open-air bath, but unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, and we couldn't see it. We only had breakfast, but the buffet had a wide variety and was satisfying. Next time, I would like to stay in a room with a view of Mt. Fuji from the room.

    Meals Included

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days with a plan that included dinner and breakfast. The buffet offered a wide variety of delicious dishes. We had four meals in total, with slight variations in the menu each time, making it enjoyable until the end. The room had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. If we were in the room across the hallway, this might not have been possible, so choosing the right room is important. The location was excellent for exploring Hakone. Futons are self-laid style. For multiple night stays, if you request cleaning service, your futon will be put away and you'll need to lay it out again yourself. The room was somewhat old with some dust as expected but there was an air purifier available. Mt. Fuji could also be seen beautifully from the open-air bath (rotenburo). The staff were very pleasant and accommodating!

    The bath offers a stunning view of Mount Fuji, which attracts many international guests. Fortunately, the area was peaceful without any noisy visitors nearby.

    Buffet The sashimi was fresh and not fishy, absolutely wonderful. The limited-time apple pie was incredibly delicious. The staff quickly cleared the dishes, making the experience comfortable. Many of them were cheerful and energetic, making it easy to ask questions. The chefs were friendly and left a good impression. The food prepared was very tasty, and I genuinely thought it was delicious. Cleanliness I checked the windows, sink, ceiling, entrance area, behind the TV, refrigerator, and drawers—all were clean. Even though I stayed until just before check-out time, the cleaning staff worked quietly without any noise or disturbance in the morning. Front Desk Staff The female staff members were considerate, cheerful, and polite. However, regarding male staff members—when I asked for care products during an unexpected situation as the shop was closed—I suggested waiting if necessary; eventually they brought out what I needed from inside. However: while other male guests walked by nearby without discretion loudly mentioning "night-use" items caused embarrassment due lack sensitivity handling matter properly leading uncomfortable moment being laughed at publicly felt humiliated overall disappointing interaction occurred

    It was not good.

    The premium buffet was disappointing. The floor of the changing room was covered in hair, and there was no staff cleaning it. A cleaning tool was provided for guests to use freely, so I ended up cleaning it myself.

    Considering the accommodation cost, I was very satisfied. The room was well-cleaned, giving a sense of cleanliness and comfort. The meals were varied and enjoyable. The one-drink service offered during the earliest dinner time added a sense of value. A few points for improvement: There were yukatas available in the lobby labeled for those over 180cm, so I didn't take one; however, the medium size in the room was too small for me. As someone who is 175cm tall, the large size fit perfectly, so it might be better to adjust the size labeling. While all meals were delicious, they felt lukewarm—perhaps due to low temperature settings on warming devices. Increasing their heat slightly could enhance satisfaction further. The bath was also pleasant but could have been hotter to provide a greater sense of warmth and relaxation. I hope these suggestions will be considered!

    The open-air bath was excellent.

    The room was relatively new and comfortable, but the bathroom felt old, so I didn't use it. I used the open-air bath at night and in the morning, and the view of Mt. Fuji in the morning was superb. However, it wasn't airtight, and the washing area was cold. Additionally, there were water stains and mold on the sink and faucet, and countless hairs on the floor... it felt like the cleaning wasn't thorough. The meals were neither good nor bad. However, the individual hot pot that you warm up at the table was nice. I was checking out just in time, but when I tried to use the luggage carry service, I was told that the reception was only until 10:50, so I couldn't leave my luggage. I wish they had informed me of the reception closing time during check-in.

    A hotel that has stopped in the good old days.

    The overall facilities are outdated, and during the cold season, the air conditioning is not very effective, making it feel cold. It seems that the facility does not frequently update its equipment. The meals are not very delicious, but considering the price, it's acceptable to stay in Hakone. The bath is quite cold, and the sauna was rated as not being hot enough. It seems that they are cutting labor costs and not investing in facilities, but if you are staying with a large group or family, the cost performance in Hakone is attractive.

    100% satisfaction.

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay from November 4th. The staff at the front desk, restaurant, and Shuttle Service drivers were all very accommodating, making my stay pleasant. For dinner, starting at 5 PM came with a complimentary drink, so I enjoyed sake and a highball, and the meal was very delicious. The view of Mt. Fuji from the English garden and the open-air bath was spectacular. The hot water was also very nice. The Room was spacious and comfortable, and from 2 PM to 9 PM, welcome drinks were available, allowing me to enjoy tea and coffee in the Room. The location was convenient, just a short walk from the Ubako Ropeway Station, and I was able to enjoy a comfortable 3-day, 2-night stay. I would like to use it again. Thank you very much.

    Good Stays Experience

    1. The cable car station is nearby, so one person can walk to the hotel and then ask the hotel to send a car for the family and children. 2. Breakfast and dinner are very plentiful. 3. The hot spring is very convenient, and the number of people during hot spring hours can be checked on the official website.
