    A Summer Getaway

We visited as three generations of our family. The children enjoyed the latter half of summer vacation with marshmallows by the campfire, badminton and fireworks in the garden, and the pool. It was also great for parents to have tasty water and coffee available self-service in the lobby. The buffet at this Accommodation was thoughtfully varied, so the children never got bored and were very satisfied. The tempura and roast beef at dinner, as well as fried bread and banana milk at breakfast, were all delicious. The staff were also very pleasant. This is an Accommodation we would like to visit again.

A fun Hotel with great value for money

This is my third visit. Our relatives, ranging from university students to young children, have stayed here, and the staff are very pleasant. The Facility is well designed and easy to use where it matters most. The meals are delicious, the vegetables are fresh, and it’s a Hotel with excellent value for money. I come here looking forward to the forest air, but it was a shame that we couldn’t go out into the front yard this year due to bear precautions—though it can’t be helped.

We had a wonderful three-night stay!

We stayed as a family of four. Our children are girls in junior high school and elementary school. It was perfect for a summer family trip. First, compared to Tokyo, the weather was very comfortable, and even in summer we could enjoy walks and badminton. Next, the food was excellent—especially the rice, the miso soup with rich dashi flavor, ochazuke (tea over rice), and tonjiru (pork miso soup). Finally, we really enjoyed the activities. Our guide was a young staff member named Mr./Ms. I; they were very knowledgeable, warm and friendly, and an outstanding guide. Mr./Ms. S, who led the morning walk, was also wonderful. Overall, it was a great Accommodation. There were few international guests as well, so we could relax in a calm atmosphere.

We’d definitely love to stay here again!

We stayed for one night during summer vacation as a family of three. The food was delicious, and the bath was great. The Onsen kept us warm for a long time and helped relieve the fatigue from a long drive. Although dinner was buffet-style, we ate in a separate room from where we picked up the food, so we could enjoy our meal in a relaxed setting. The toasted marshmallows were also delicious. It’s close to the ropeway, and we received a discount, which felt like a great deal. The Accommodation Fee also felt very reasonable compared with other areas. We would definitely like to stay again!

It may not be very family-friendly for guests with children.

We stayed with two young children. The Room was a little small, but it was very clean and we had a comfortable stay. We had listed two young children at the time of Reservation, but there were some disappointing points. Because they are young, we requested an early dinner, but were told it was only available from 6:30 p.m. When we went to the dinner venue anyway, our seating area was far from where the food was served, and there were steps along the way, which felt unsafe for small children carrying trays back and forth.

    Spacious and relaxing

Because it is on a mountain, all we could hear was birdsong, and we were able to spend meaningful time away from everyday life. It rained during our stay, but if possible, we would like to visit again when the weather is clear. We would definitely like to come again.

    Highly recommended.

The Room, meals, bath, and service were all extremely satisfying. The water was so delicious that I drank too much—on the way home, you may want to be careful as you might need to use the restroom more often.

Traveling with my mother, who has limited mobility. A lobby with a fireplace and delicious meals.

I stayed here with my mother, who has limited mobility. The lobby with its fireplace was wonderful, and it was fun to be able to roast and eat marshmallows right after we arrived. The Onsen was a bit of a walk from our Room, but for my mother—who doesn’t get much exercise—it turned into something positive: “That was just the right amount of exercise.” Every dish at the buffet was delicious, and the roast beef in particular was outstanding. The vegetables were also excellent, and I really enjoyed the vichyssoise as well. Perhaps it’s because the water tastes so good that it brings out the flavors in the food. Unfortunately, because of the rain we couldn’t go for a walk outside, but we were soothed by the beautifully maintained greenery visible from our window. We would love to visit again on a sunny day next time.

A Hotel where you can relax at your own pace!

The guest room was spacious and very clean, and I was extremely satisfied. Both breakfast and dinner offered a good variety of dishes and were delicious. The large public bath was also spacious, so I could soak at ease and feel refreshed. Next time, I’d like to book a Multiple Night Stay, explore the surrounding area, and try lots of different activities. Overall, the value for money was excellent!

Relax in the serene nature of the highlands.

This was my first stay. The Room was very comfortable, and I was able to relax and unwind. I fully enjoyed my stay while taking advantage of various services, such as the welcome roasted marshmallows and the morning walk. The meals offered plenty that made me think, “I want to try this and that,” and I was very satisfied. There weren’t as many options at dinner or breakfast as I had expected, but each dish was delicious, so it was more than enough. In the morning, behind the Hotel, I saw a rare sight of several wild monkeys up in the trees, which left a strong impression on me. The pool was busier than I had imagined and quite lively. I was able to enjoy both the indoor bath and the open-air bath at a relaxed pace. If I have another opportunity, I would definitely like to stay again.

This is my favorite Hotel in Aizu.

The Hotel is kept very clean. The food is beautifully presented. The views are outstanding. The air is crisp and clear. This is my favorite Hotel in Aizu. It would be even better if the parking lot were closer.

We had a great atmosphere and were able to relax and take our time!

This was my first stay, and being welcomed into the lovely lobby immediately raised my expectations. The Room was beautifully renovated, and the fresh greenery and cherry blossoms seen from the window were so stunning they looked like a painting—I was truly moved. The Facility and meals were excellent; in particular, the food offered both variety and flavor that left me completely satisfied. Perhaps because it was during Golden Week, the staff at the breakfast reception seemed very busy and had little time to spare, and I also noticed a table tennis set placed in the otherwise wonderful lobby. However, considering this price range, everything more than exceeded expectations. Overall, I was extremely satisfied and have already made my next Reservation. I look forward to visiting again.

I’d love to stay here again!

This Hotel is perfect for a snowboarding trip during the kids’ spring break season! Even at the end of March, there was still snow, and best of all, it offers direct access to the slopes with gondolas and covered chairlifts. This year, our family especially loved roasting marshmallows—our kids were thrilled! Thank you for the wonderful activity!

The guest room and Facility were wonderful.

We booked a good-value weekday stay to relax as a couple. The Accommodation was lively with families on ski trips, creating a fun atmosphere. The upgraded luxury Room was spacious and clean, which we were happy with. However, there was no floor lamp near the sofa, making it hard to read—this was a downside. The meals were buffet-style and average for both dinner and breakfast; we didn’t expect much, and at this price it felt about right. When Tokyu used to run the property, the food was top-class—perhaps times have changed. If you want a more upscale dining experience, I recommend the French course at Lake Resort Geihinkan. The bath facilities were very standard. Staff service was fine overall. Overall, we enjoyed it at a reasonable price, but if you pay peak rates (such as before holidays), you may be disappointed with the meal quality for the cost.

Very convenient for skiing, but the service needs improvement.

With direct access to the slopes, the Accommodation provides lockers where you can store your ski gear after check-in, and lockers that remain available even after check-out until you finish skiing. Guests can also purchase lift tickets that allow priority boarding for the gondola even during busy times, which makes winter sports very convenient. However, I would like to see improvements in how the entrance service staff handle things. Even when it snows, the drop-off area is left uncleared, so there isn’t enough road width for two cars to pass each other. As a result, when loading luggage at the drop-off after skiing, if a shuttle bus approaches the entrance roundabout, you are told—without so much as an apology—to move your car and line up behind the bus. The path from the guest parking lot to the entrance is also not cleared of snow, so those who are not used to snowy conditions should be cautious.

Over the past few years, our services have gradually evolved each year...

We have been using this facility during the ski season for many years, but since the ownership changed from Tokyu, there have been significant changes in services such as those at the restaurant. For example, not only has the quality of meals slightly declined, but this year there were no napkins or knives and forks provided at the restaurant as in previous years. Instead, only wet tissues were placed next to a pile of chopsticks, which often caused confusion during meals (though small spoons and forks were available at the dessert table). Knowing how services used to be in the past left us feeling a bit nostalgic.

    Skiing

I think this accommodation is excellent for skiing purposes. The ski school instructors were all very pleasant, and thanks to them, I feel like I've improved a little. The hotel's service was great, and the meals seemed exceptionally good for a hotel catering to skiers. The bath was surprisingly crowded around the time the lifts closed, but it was calm and relaxing in the morning and evening. Our room accommodated four adults in a twin room, which I initially worried might be too cramped, but it felt surprisingly spacious. It seems there are many repeat guests as well. I look forward to staying here again!

Does it fit the accommodation cost?

I have been using this accommodation since it was managed by Tokyu. The accommodation cost is high, but I am fine with it if the quality matches the price. From that perspective, there were a few concerns. When I asked the front desk about patterns for discounted lift tickets, I received incorrect information. Additionally, when I inquired about shuttle service from the ski resort's center house to the hotel, I was told there was none; however, it actually existed. Information was not properly shared among staff. The bath area showed noticeable signs of aging, starting with the changing room. I was surprised to see female staff working in the men's changing area. It must have been uncomfortable for them as well, and such a situation likely wouldn't happen in reverse. As for meals, the serving staff worked very hard; however, during my 3-night stay, almost all menus were identical. For a mid-level hotel this might be acceptable; however, given that this is an accommodation with considerable costs involved, expectations are naturally higher. With its proximity to the ski resort and its wonderful atmosphere as a hotel overall, I hope improvements will be made moving forward.

    Dinner was disappointing.

I have been visiting during the ski season for over 15 years since the Tokyu era, but last year I couldn't make it. This was my first visit since it became EN RESORT. The facilities and rooms remained the same, and many of the staff were as hospitable as before, making it feel like only the hotel name had changed. However, the dining experience was completely different. While buffet-style meals are common in ski hotels, the scale of the venue and buffet felt mismatched. The variety, quality, and genres of dishes left a disappointing impression. Repeat visitors who remember when French cuisine or teppanyaki were available might feel similarly. It was also disappointing to see small declines in quality as an accommodation—such as no alcohol being sold at the shop or towels after checkout becoming a paid service. This is a valuable accommodation directly connected to clean slopes at a time when snow resort users are decreasing. I truly hope they continue to do their best because I will likely visit again anyway. However, I sincerely wish that improving meal quality—even if prices increase—would make stays much more enjoyable. On weekdays at the slopes, there were no priority lanes for hotel guests and no operation of Quad Lift No. 2—a rather lonely situation. It must be tough with declining numbers of skiers and snowboarders; please keep up your efforts!

    The strong green sce...

The strong green scent in the Room provided a unique and extraordinary experience. The water from Onogawa spring was so delicious that I couldn't stop drinking it endlessly. The slope angles at the front and inside of the dining hall felt slightly steep and intimidating.

    Excellent service.

In November, our family of four stayed at the accommodation. We thoroughly enjoyed a bit of snow play, an early morning walking tour, the onsen, and the meals. The only downside was that the indoor pool we were looking forward to felt a bit underwhelming. Additionally, we realized after returning home that we had forgotten several items. Of course, they were sent back to us via cash-on-delivery, but what impressed us was how thoughtfully everything was handled—our swimsuits were washed and other items carefully packed. It truly reflected the hotel's dedication. Thank you very much!

    Excellent environment

Located at a higher altitude in Urabandai, it is even cooler than the Goshikinuma area, making it an excellent summer retreat during this intense heat. The Hotel's Facility is well-equipped, allowing us to fully enjoy our resort stay. The meals were good; however, as the restaurant currently only offers a buffet, staying for about two nights seems to be the limit for now. We hope other restaurants will open soon so that longer stays can be enjoyed in this wonderful summer retreat.

    Family Trip

We stayed here for a family trip. Since we were traveling with small children, we were looking for a place with an indoor pool and activities, and this accommodation had plenty of elements that the kids could enjoy, which made us very satisfied. The food was delicious, and the staff's hospitality was excellent. It was a hotel that made us want to stay again. Thank you very much!

    Overall, it was good.

The room was spacious and clean. The onsen was not crowded, allowing for a relaxing experience, but the lukewarm water and chlorine smell were disappointing. I usually don't stay at hotels with dinner buffets, but I appreciated the variety of vegetable dishes. However, the strong air conditioning caused warm dishes to cool down quickly, which was unfortunate. It would be better if they increased the heater temperature or served freshly cooked food in a live kitchen style. Breakfast was underwhelming. As it is a large hotel, there were many families with small children. Unfortunately, we were surrounded by noisy children crying and shouting, making it difficult to enjoy meals peacefully. It would be great if there were separate spaces for families with children and adults only.

    It was a relaxing experience.

The price was affordable, so I imagined a hotel that matched the cost, but it was completely different from what I had expected. I stayed at three different hotels, but this one stood out in every way. The food was especially delicious, served in a lovely setting, with warm hospitality that truly soothed me. Thank you very much!

    Great for children!

There were many activities, and the children seemed very happy, especially enjoying the roasted marshmallows by the campfire. The changing room in the bath area had a valuables box, but it didn’t have a rubber band attached to the key, so I had to hold it while bathing. It would be nice to have shelves inside the bathroom for placing towels and other items. I think this is a great Hotel for families with children.

    Enjoy Nature

The room on the top floor offered a great view of Mount Bandai, and I was very satisfied as I could also enjoy the view from the bath. I was surprised to see small birds frequently visiting the balcony and not flying away even when approached closely (no feeding was involved). The bathwater was soft, and the open-air bath provided a sense of freedom. Being close to the pool, you can take a swim before enjoying a relaxing bath. The massage chair was also excellent. The buffet featured locally sourced ingredients with great taste and high quality. Restocking was done promptly as well. Above all, the water tasted amazing. Next time, I would like to enjoy my stay more leisurely with a Multiple Night Stay.

    Is it a Resort Hotel?

The location and exterior looked like a Resort Hotel worth expecting, but the experience felt like an ordinary tourist Hotel. In particular, perhaps due to the layout of the dining venue, there were long lines and it was difficult to even get to the food. The menu and flavors were not distinctive, and there was no live-kitchen-style performance either. In addition, one of the two key cards we received at check-in did not work, and when we went to the front desk for a replacement, we were disappointed by what felt like a response with no apology at all. Also, while it was stated that wearing yukata in the lobby and dining venue is not allowed, it seemed acceptable to walk around and use the venue in in-room slippers, which felt like a very half-hearted rule. Overall, it was a disappointing stay that seemed to significantly diminish the dignity expected of a Resort Hotel in many ways.

    Relax and unwind

Enjoy complimentary coffee in the lounge while waiting for check-in, or relax by roasting marshmallows over a campfire. Unfortunately, due to the weather and heavy snowfall this year, there was still snow in many areas. Although the activity park listed on the website included options like futsal, the muddy ground made it unusable. We noticed a mountain bike rental poster inside the Hotel and thought of exploring with it, but upon asking at reception, we were informed that rentals were not available at this time—quite disappointing. On a positive note, we were able to enjoy an early soak in the Onsen. The large public bath was not crowded, allowing us to relax peacefully. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious! It would have been even better if tempura included shrimp or squid along with vegetables. The yogurt with sweet sake served at breakfast was delightful! We’d love to visit again during a different season!
