    Hotel for International Guests

There are simply a lot of Korean guests. Perhaps because many come in groups, they speak loudly and walk while blocking the corridors. In the restaurant, people cut in line without permission, the way they serve themselves is messy, and many parents do not watch their children. Even though it’s a spacious and nice Onsen, it was noisy with loud chatter. Used towels were thrown toward the towel bin; they weren’t properly placed inside and were left as-is. Lockers were left open. What I found especially unpleasant was someone using a hair dryer while naked and sitting directly on a chair without underwear. The manners are far too poor… very disappointing. My child liked the amusement park and pool, so I’m considering staying at the Westin Hotel next year, but there were also many Korean guests there, so I’m unsure.

    価格より質重視

    Excellent value for money.

I stayed in a Japanese-style room, and it was very clean and comfortable. The restaurant also offered a wide variety of dishes, and I was very satisfied. From the next day I stayed at the Westin, but their service was extremely disappointing, which made me even more impressed by this Hotel’s Onsen and other Facilities, as well as its hospitality on the first day. Thank you very much.

A Hotel where your stay itself becomes a lasting memory

This was my first trip to Hokkaido, and I stayed at your Accommodation. In a word: completely satisfied—I didn’t want to check out. Not only the location, but also the dining and the Onsen were wonderful, and there was so much to see throughout the entire Facility that I wished I had booked a Multiple Night Stay. I originally made a No Meals Included Reservation, but changed my mind, and I truly appreciated being able to use the dinner buffet on site. I even regret not taking photos because I was so excited to eat—the selection was extensive, everything was delicious, and the sashimi and crab were as luxurious as expected. When I hesitated a bit at the crab station, the chefs spoke to me with warm smiles and helped me feel at ease. After nonstop travel on my first Hokkaido trip, I had been tense, but it made me feel relieved and relaxed enough to truly enjoy my meal. I also loved the Onsen. Both Kotobuki-no-Yu inside the Hotel and the large public bath at The Westin next door were clean, comfortable, and excellent. Riding the monorail between Hotels became one of my favorite memories as well. Because it runs until late hours, I could travel safely and easily even at night—and take my time in the Onsen—so I’m very grateful. The monorail driver was also polite and refreshing in their manner, which left a great impression. The Hotel is so large it feels like an entire town—I felt one day wasn’t nearly enough… (laughs) While the buildings aren’t brand-new, everything was well maintained and spotless; it has more than enough charm to make up for its age, and it’s a Hotel with many things that I hope will remain for years to come. The Panorama Terrace reached by gondola offered breathtaking views—it was amazing. There were many activities—like visiting the amusement park or hiking—that I couldn’t enjoy this time due to schedule and season, so next time I’d love to come back for a Multiple Night Stay or book with breakfast and dinner included. To be honest, there had been news about a fire just days before this stay, but I’m thankful that I could stay without any worries at all. From afar, I sincerely wish all staff safe days of work ahead. I truly look forward to having another chance to stay.

    An Annual Tradition

I visit every year for spring skiing. It’s a bit sad that the Hotel’s operating season has been getting shorter each year, but things have become more convenient and I really enjoyed my stay this year. I’d be happy if checkout could be a little later. Looking forward to coming again next year.

A Hotel You'll Want to Visit Again

We stayed here as a family of four during spring break. It was late March, but there was still snow, and we had an amazing time. The food was delicious, and it’s a Hotel that made us want to come back. If I had to mention anything, I wish there had been bottled water in the in-room refrigerator, and there weren’t many power outlets, so it was hard to charge our phones while lying in bed. Also—this is just my personal wish—if there were fresh juice at breakfast, I would have given it 5 stars (haha). We’d love to visit again!!

The new Onsen Facility is comfortable.

The Onsen Facility and ski lockers had been renovated, which made the stay very comfortable. After check-in, I tried to warm up with some hot tea in the Room, but I couldn’t find any tea bags. When I asked the front desk, they said they had forgotten to set them and would bring them right away. After I boiled water in the kettle and waited for a while, the front desk called and said that this Room did not come with tea. If they had told me that from the beginning, I would have bought some myself. I stayed on a great-value Plan through IKYU, but I was surprised to be assigned a Room without tea bags. As for dining, the Japanese restaurant felt more geared toward inbound guests than before in both menu and flavor. The new Onsen Facility was spacious and comfortable, so I paid an additional fee to use it once more after checkout.

Ideally, we would like to see more services and benefits prioritized for guests.

I stay here at least once a year, and I have a very positive impression because the facilities and other aspects are continuously being improved. Lift tickets are among the most expensive in Japan, but it doesn’t get crowded, so I’m satisfied. However, on days with fresh powder, locals and non-guests gather at the lifts and long lines form. I understand operations can be difficult, but I would appreciate it even more if there were guest-priority services such as a dedicated lane for guests or early lift opening for guests. That said, I’m already very satisfied as it is.

Visited on the day of the fireworks event. It exceeded expectations with high satisfaction and a variety of activities, highly recommended. Prices felt higher compared to two years ago, but it's understandable given the current circumstances.

For the first time in 24 years

I used to visit every year for skiing with my children. This time, I stayed for the first time in summer with my grandchild. It was overwhelming with nostalgia. There is also a new Onsen large bathhouse. However, perhaps due to the season, most of the restaurants were closed, which was disappointing as only the Oktoberfest was available. Staying with just one restaurant option during our stay felt limiting. Maybe more places open during summer vacation. Therefore, I gave fewer stars.

The only highlights are the ski resort and the merry-go-round.

Apart from the ski resort, everything else was disappointing. The buffet was chaotic and unhygienic, which was very frustrating (and the food tasted bad). It seemed like there were not enough staff for the number of guests. There were part-time workers, but their service was so poor that it felt like it would have been better without them. The guests appeared to be one-third Japanese, one-third Chinese, and one-third Korean, giving the impression of staying at a cheap overseas hotel.

I think you will be satisfied with this!

Upgraded to a Junior Suite on the day. We visited for the first time looking for ski-in ski-out, and although the Facility is of course old and there are many student groups, lacking a high-grade feel, overall the service was sophisticated, and families mainly enjoying snow mountain activities were very satisfied! To be bold, it would be even better if some Rooms or Facilities were renovated to offer suites at a higher price. Last year we stayed at Club Med Kiroro (Kiroro), but personally I prefer Rusutsu (Rusutsu) for the ski resort itself. I wished there was a bit more creativity in the buffet. Being able to move around comfortably in loungewear inside is also GOOD. We'll come again!

I thought it was a bit unfortunate that the pool became chargeable. There are too few amenities. The elevator door next to the lobby sometimes closed too quickly.

    A hotel with a large...

A hotel with a large number of rooms and a resort facility attached, featuring well-equipped shops and dining floors throughout the year. It is a property with a sense of scale that was developed on a large scale in a certain era, and while the furnishings in the rooms give a sense of the past, the design is relatively spacious, making it feel like a resort hotel that emphasizes the overall stay experience rather than just the room itself. The onsen with a wonderful view and the dedicated locker room that allows you to head straight to the slopes are also well-equipped, making it seem like the most valuable experience is during winter sports stays. However, perhaps due to being a large-scale hotel, there are many group users both domestically and internationally, with breakfast until 9 AM and check-out at 10 AM, resulting in an overall early schedule. After check-out, it is necessary to move luggage to dedicated lockers, making mornings during ski use hectic, and I felt that I would like a little more leeway in the usage times of each facility. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

    The grade is low.

Last year, I stayed at the Westin across the street and had a great experience, so I tried to stay there again this year. However, due to the high prices on the middle day of the three-day weekend, I opted for this place instead. The overwhelming number of Asian tourists and school trip groups led to over-tourism, which was disappointing, as the title suggests. With an amusement park nearby, it seems to cater to families with children. Paying nearly 30,000 yen per person feels a bit overpriced. The meals were buffet-style, but it was extremely crowded. The food was decent and tasty, but as usual, people from the mainland were hoarding large amounts of food, which was again disappointing. I might reconsider using this place next time. The bathhouse was good.
