This is a conveniently located Hotel.

I stayed here to attend an event at the nearby sports complex. I really appreciated being able to check in early so I could change and head out. It was also very helpful that the parking lot allowed free entry and exit. The Accommodation is close to the station, making it very convenient for meals and buying souvenirs. The surrounding area had a lot of construction. The mornings were cool enough to feel chilly, and I’d love to stay in Hokkaido for an extended time in summer.

    A safe and comfortable Hotel

The Facility is old, but the staff are friendly and the Hotel feels reassuring. The meals are also delicious. Room service is good as well. I would be happy if there were more room service options.

In addition to its convenient location within walking distance of Sapporo Station and many restaurants, the reliable ANA-branded service offers peace of mind, and the pricing makes it easy to use even for business trips. Unlike many typical Business Hotels in recent years, the property has a calm, substantial atmosphere, and the guest rooms felt spacious. The rooms have separate bath and toilet areas, were very clean, and made for a comfortable stay. I was also impressed by how politely the staff spoke and their attentive service throughout my stay. The Sapporo Station South Exit area is convenient for business dinners as well, and the ease of getting around is another major advantage. I found this Hotel extremely practical as a base for both private travel and business trips. I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Sapporo. Thank you very much.

    Summer in Sapporo

The hotel was conveniently located with easy access from the station. Breakfast was freshly prepared and very delicious. The location was also convenient for enjoying Sapporo at night and playing golf the next day.

    Convenient Location and Reliable Service

Conveniently located within walking distance of Sapporo Station and Odori. The building is a bit dated, but the rooms have been renovated and are comfortable. Most of the front desk staff were young, and the service was consistently good. On the first floor, there is a brewery restaurant, a convenience store, and a sweets shop, which made our stay very comfortable. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

It’s conveniently located near both the JR and subway stations, making it very accessible. The Room was bright overall, clean, and comfortable to stay in. The front desk staff were courteous and made us feel at ease. The craft beer shop on the first floor is said to be excellent, so I’d like to try it someday.

A place in Sapporo you’ll want to make your go-to Accommodation.

I checked in late, but the front desk staff’s warm smiles and attentive service left a strong impression. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept soundly until morning. If possible, a semi-double rather than a single would have been even better. The amenities were high quality, and my stay was very comfortable overall. It’s also very close to Sapporo Station, and if you make good use of the underground walkway, you won’t need an umbrella even on rainy days—highly recommended.

    It was a comfortable Hotel.

The Hotel was very conveniently located—about a 10-minute walk from Sapporo Station and just 1 minute from the Sapporo Station on the Toho Subway Line. The staff were polite and pleasant, and I was satisfied with their service. I wished there had been a large public bath. Also, the room only had toothbrushes provided; I was given a skincare set (lotion), but the quality was not very good.

    A Hotel where everyone smiles.

I woke up early to take photos of the breakfast venue, and when I entered, everyone greeted me with a cheerful “Good morning,” which really lifted my spirits. The omelets, rice balls, smoothies, and every other dish were all delicious with perfectly balanced seasoning. After checkout, I asked to store my luggage at the cloakroom on the first floor, and their friendly smiles gave me another boost. They also told me that shopping at the bakery on the same floor comes with a 20% discount, so I was happy to make a purchase. The bread I bought as souvenirs was very tasty. I wasn’t feeling my best at first, but the front desk service was excellent, and after just one night’s stay I felt completely refreshed. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

A comfortable Hotel in a great location, with easy access by car.

Deluxe Room with breakfast for two (W breakfast included) ① Location Excellent. Subway station and JR station: 5–10 minutes on foot. TV Tower, Clock Tower, and Hokke no Hamakko: about 10 minutes on foot. Former Hokkaido Government Office Building, Susukino, and Ramen Sumire: about 15–20 minutes on foot. If the weather is nice, walking above ground is recommended; if it’s raining, the underground walkway is recommended. ② Parking There is an underground parking lot, so it’s reassuring even if you come by car. JPY 2,000 prepaid. You can take your car in and out during your stay, and even after checkout (depending on how busy it is and the time of day), they will often accommodate you at the same rate if you consult the front desk—much appreciated. ③ Facility The Room was quiet and clean, spacious without feeling cramped, and the bed was large with plenty of space for two people. The bathroom was a unit bath but as spacious as a larger apartment-style bathroom and very clean. The toilet paper holder rattled loudly, so it might be better to add rubber or something between it and the wall… There was a Nespresso espresso machine with plenty of capsules prepared (4 regular coffee + 2 decaf), which I really appreciated. There was an air purifier, but there was no water in it and it wasn’t turned on… Since it’s there anyway, I’d love it if it were set up so guests could turn it on with one button or if there were a brief note explaining what to do. The restroom on the lobby floor was disappointing—extremely small and old—and seems to need renovation urgently. Not suitable for modern people with long legs. ④ Amenities A full set of cleansing products and toothbrushes were in the Room; everything else is picked up at the front desk. I think this initiative is very good. However, being asked at the front desk while looking at a list (“Which ones would you like?”) and receiving only what you answer one by one makes it a little hard to request things even when you want them. ⑤ Service The staff were wonderful. From casual conversation alone, you could tell they weren’t just going through the motions—they genuinely worked hard—and this felt like a lovely Hotel. In large Hotels (regardless of rank), service can vary because many different people work there; however, this Hotel truly felt comfortable throughout our stay. In particular, at the breakfast buffet venue on April 19th, a female staff member with shoulder-length hair worn down inferred from my question that I might have allergies; she wrote down notes about what ingredients were included in various items and brought them to me. Without making a fuss or overreacting in any way—yet being thorough, polite, warm—the kindness really came through clearly, which made me very happy. If her supervisor happens to know who she is from this description، I hope they will praise her. She was truly natural and wonderful. ● My husband also had his first trip to Hokkaido thanks to this stay—a short 1-night/2-day trip since he rarely gets time off due to work—and he enjoyed this trip very much as well. Thank you very much.

It’s a standard Hotel, but the breakfast was good.

The Room and services are standard. When I stayed at ANA Crowne Plaza Hotels in other prefectures, I could choose relaxing aromatherapy options and there were special teas and amenities, so I expected the same this time, but they were not available. With breakfast included, you can choose Japanese set breakfast or a buffet depending on how you feel that day. I realized I hadn’t eaten much fish in Hokkaido, so I chose the seafood rice bowl; the scallops were very sweet and delicious. Miso soup and drinks were refillable as much as you like.

A Hotel that has evolved and transformed wonderfully

I used to stay regularly at the ANA Hotel Sapporo. In recent years, with increased inbound demand, it was often hard to make a Reservation, so I stopped staying there. This time I found a great-value package and stayed again. I was very satisfied with the result. I didn’t have breakfast, but the 1F café “NEIGHBOUR Roast & Brew,” with its craft beer and craft coffee, had the best atmosphere and wonderfully friendly staff. Of course, I was also very satisfied with the Hotel staff’s service overall. I rated it 4 only to leave room for future expectations. I believe this is a Hotel that will keep getting better, and I’d like to stay again.

Back in Sapporo after a long time

I came to Sapporo for the first time in a while to see my favorite band live. Everyone at the Hotel was very kind, and with member benefits and other services, I had a very comfortable stay. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

When I opened the window, all I could see was the Toyoko Inn Business Hotel. The view was disappointing. I originally wanted to stay at the Nikko Hotel, but I couldn’t get a Room. It was also disappointing that the price was about the same.

For the price, it was a bit disappointing...

As an ANA status member, I had been curious about this Hotel because it is close to the station, so I stayed here for the first time. The entrance is impressive and feels luxurious, but the building is old, and I could clearly hear noises and voices from the neighboring Room and the Room above, which was extremely loud. I could even distinctly hear the sound of the curtains being opened next door, and it startled me at dawn—I thought someone had opened my Room’s curtains. There were a lot of foreign tourists, and I felt it was not suitable for business use. Since there are many other Business Hotels near the station, at this price I would choose a different Hotel next time.

    Normal

Stayed in a Premium Twin Room. Overall, nothing particularly stood out; it was average. Convenient for those using the train as it's close to the station, but since I traveled by car, I didn't find it especially convenient. The accommodation feels old overall but is clean and not bothersome. The room has been renovated and looks nice. While the facility shows its age, the room was spacious enough and satisfactory. Breakfast offers a wide variety of options, though nothing felt particularly special about it—standard in both good and bad ways. The taste was good. Many items change daily, making it suitable for a multiple night stay as well. Coffee was served from pots rather than machines; while refills were frequent enough to avoid inconvenience, this aspect felt slightly disappointing. The number of elevators is sufficient, so waiting times are short—a positive point. The parking lot guide at the entrance? Their initial response and explanations were unclear—it seemed like they might be more accustomed to handling inbound tourists—but as a first impression, it wasn't great. Reception staff overall lacked smiles during interactions. Cleaning staff were actually the most polite. With many hotels available in the city, I probably wouldn't choose this one again next time.

The Hotel is affiliated with ANA and IHG.

Conveniently located within walking distance from Sapporo Station and very close to the underground walkway exit. The Hotel is directly connected to a Seicomart, making shopping convenient. Although I arrived a bit early, I was allowed to check in and could rest after a tiring day of sightseeing. The unit bath was spacious and user-friendly. The Facility includes a fitness gym with access to water dispensers and towels, which was great. The breakfast venue was very spacious with an extensive variety of side dishes that made it hard to choose. Egg dishes were freshly prepared by the chef on-site and were delicious. Being on a high floor ensured safety but better ventilation would have been appreciated if possible due to structural constraints. Thank you for accommodating me with the late check-out benefit as part of the IHG membership perks!

The bathroom plumbing has a strong odor and appears outdated even considering its age.

I made the Reservation knowing it was an old Facility, but I wanted to take this opportunity to relax at a proper Hotel. However, the smell from the bathroom pipes was much stronger than I had imagined, and honestly, I was shocked by how bad it was. The odor became stronger after bathing and into the next morning. There were no ventilation fans in either the Room or bathroom, and since the windows couldn't be opened, there was no way to address it. Additionally, perhaps this used to be a smoking Room as there was a faint smell of tobacco when lying in bed. The sound of footsteps from upstairs and noise from the hallway also echoed clearly. Normally, I enjoy staying at Hotels until check-out time, but this time I couldn't bear it any longer and checked out more than an hour early. While waiting for the elevator near piles of linens being thrown around by staff members—causing dust to rise—I found myself just wanting to leave as soon as possible. Sapporo offers many Hotel options with Business Hotels providing attentive service along with well-equipped amenities and rental items. While aging Facilities may be unavoidable here, unfortunately, I didn't feel any charm that could compensate for these issues during my stay.

    Amenities

Amenities were not provided in the Room but distributed at the front desk, which caused a line at check-in and took some time. The refrigerator in the Room did not cool; it was unclear if it was broken or if there was a switch somewhere. Breakfast was good.

The retro atmosphere provides a sense of calm.

The room was a standard twin in a Business Hotel style. The entrance was slightly narrow and felt a bit cramped, but it had all the essentials, making it sufficient for a "just sleep" type of trip. It is within walking distance to JR Sapporo Station and tourist spots like the Clock Tower, offering an excellent location. It was surprisingly convenient to return to the room for rest when feeling tired. While many modern hotels use aroma diffusers to create pleasant scents at the entrance, this Hotel had an overall retro Showa-era fragrance that might provide a calming atmosphere for adult travelers. For breakfast, I chose the buffet on the first night and Japanese-style on the second night. Neither stood out particularly but both were delicious with spacious seating arrangements. The building itself has a retro feel; however, this is compensated by attentive service that leaves a positive impression. The front desk always had staff available, which provided great reassurance in case of any needs or concerns.

The phone service the day before and the front desk service on the day could have been more pleasant. The check-in staff was good. The hotel offers great service and is comfortable. There is a water dispenser and corn tea available at the front desk. Although the room being small is due to its grade, I found the design of the bathroom and toilet not to my liking. This time, I was satisfied as it offered good value for money. I’m glad I stayed here.

Breakfast seating arrangements and menu details

Enjoyed a traditional Japanese breakfast at Unkai. We were initially seated in a semi-private area with two tables, one of which was already occupied by four guests. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty with plenty of available seats, we were placed uncomfortably close to others, making conversations easily overheard. Although we requested and were moved to another table, it seemed like seating arrangements might follow a specific order starting from the back. Additionally, the meal lacked green vegetables and had very few vegetables overall. I would have preferred more vegetables even if it meant reducing the portion size of rice.

    Slightly dated but well-located.

The building is a bit old, but its proximity to Sapporo Station and direct connection to a convenience store were very convenient. Please consider changing the elevator setting where it always stops at the lobby floor even if no one presses the button. It would be helpful to have a foldable stand in the Room for placing luggage.

    Disappointing.

I stayed in a Comfort Twin Room. The room was as small as a Business Hotel despite the price, making it inconvenient to use. Although there was a kettle and Nespresso machine, there was no space to use them. Despite being a twin room, there were no tables or chairs for two people to sit together, which felt cramped. The bathroom was outdated, with mirrors covered in water stains and lacked cleanliness entirely—similar to the Business Hotel I recently stayed at in Tokyo. Honestly, I felt disappointed and thought it would have been better to stay at a cheaper Business Hotel. I stayed for four nights, but both the Japanese breakfast and Western breakfast had exactly the same menu every day, making me regret choosing the meal plan. The continental breakfast wasn’t tasty; it lacked any sense of Hokkaido’s uniqueness and only offered cheap bread options. While the Japanese breakfast was better, having the same menu every morning became tiresome by the third day. I expected smaller rooms since this is an ANA-affiliated hotel chain known for compact spaces; however, this room was truly too small for comfort—I decided not to choose this hotel again in future stays. Additionally, one of the male service staff members spoke so softly that his voice wasn’t clear or easy to understand. For elderly guests or those with hearing difficulties especially, I imagine it would be nearly impossible to hear him properly.

    Recommended for IHG Members

There were no particular complaints, nor anything especially impressive, so I gave it 3 stars. For those planning to stay, I recommend becoming an IHG member as there are many benefits (it was suggested at the front desk and the process was simple).

    I had a comfortable stay.

Thank you for your continued patronage. For breakfast, the pancakes were replaced with French toast, but it was brioche French toast, which was a bit disappointing. A baguette would have been better. Pancakes are still the preferred choice.
