A traditional Hotel with an attached Grand Museum
Headed straight from Yamagata Station to the Hotel. Enjoyed a lunch buffet at La Seine, the restaurant on the 1st floor of the Hotel. I ended up eating too much, and it was over 30°C outside. I considered waiting in front of the front desk until check-in, but there were artworks on display throughout the building—sculptures and paintings from Japan and abroad—so my time passed pleasantly and productively. As a long-established Hotel, you can feel its heritage in the paintings displayed in the Room, yet areas such as the bathroom are well maintained and felt fresh and new. It was a relaxing guest Room.

Affordable and convenient
I came to Yamagata to spend time with friends from my student days. Since we planned to have dinner elsewhere, the breakfast-included Plan was perfect. There was a wide variety of breakfast options, and I ended up eating more than I should. The only downside was having to pay an additional parking fee.

Whether you see it a...
Whether you see it as retro and charming or simply old-fashioned and uninteresting is up to you, but I’d say the latter. The staff seem well trained in customer service, but the Facility is far from good. The Room is dim, some lights don’t work, and the bathroom drainage is poor. There’s only one laundry machine, so if you’re lucky you can wash and dry your clothes. Also, breakfast was included, and the food was tasty. However, I was bothered by staff just standing around doing nothing… (I couldn’t help wondering what they were even there for). If you ask whether I’d stay again next time, my answer would be no.

You can relax comfortably in a spacious Room.
I stay here every month on business and always choose this Accommodation. The Room is spacious, and with complimentary water and newspapers plus a Nespresso machine, it’s very comfortable. The interior is a bit dated, but everything is kept impeccably clean, and the front desk staff are courteous and professional, so I can stay with peace of mind. I don’t notice noise from neighboring Rooms, it feels very relaxing, and although I’ve stayed at various Hotels near the station, the value for money here is unbeatable. It’s a little walk from the station, but once you actually stay here you’ll find it convenient since it’s along the main road, and I think it’s also great for a Multiple Night Stay as a base. Whenever someone asks me for recommendations on where to stay, this is always my top choice. I truly hope you keep up this same level of service going forward.

The spacious room allowed for a relaxing stay.
The high point rate made it quite affordable to stay. I thought there might be some drawbacks, but the room was spacious, and the complimentary coffee service was a step above other business hotels. Although it’s a bit far from the station, the hotel’s location wasn’t bad, and I was very satisfied with the great value for money.

Nightwear Sizes
The nightwear size is too small. I am somewhat large, but I can wear nightwear comfortably at any other hotel. It is unacceptable that only such a small size is available without larger options, and I hope this will be improved promptly. If it has not been addressed by the time I check before my next reservation, I will no longer use this accommodation. The coffee in the lobby was delicious. Also, a 10:00 AM checkout seems unusual for a hotel of this class. It would be appreciated if checkout could be extended to 11:00 AM instead.

Terrible, the worst ever.
First Visit to Yamagata I was scheduled to visit Yamagata for the first time for work, and I decided to take the opportunity to see the frost-covered trees of Mount Zao. Since I had work, I checked in at night and planned an early check-out the next day for the frost-covered trees. With limited stay time due to my schedule, I searched on IKYU and found this place as the best value... An image of a good deal at about 8,000 yen per night Checked in around 8 PM I couldn't find the Hotel parking lot but parked behind the building. At check-in: Staff: "Are you using a car?" Me: "I parked in the back." Staff: "It's 1,000 yen." Me: "Are there any affiliated parking lots?" Staff: "Including affiliates, it's 1,000 yen for all guests." It was my first time in Yamagata but thought it was expensive since you can park near stations for about 500 yen per day. After that, I went up by elevator to the hallway of guest room floors. It felt dark with low ceilings; everything including doors seemed quite old... And then when entering Room - surprise! The room was filled with an odor like that of an old man who might have just been there... When calling asking if they could change Rooms: Staff said they'd check. While going out from Room towards dinner outside Hotel stopped by front desk handing over key... After about ninety minutes returned without any apology given another Room key. The new Room felt dimly lit; carpet looked retro as if used since opening days; bathroom/toilet also retro style. Then filling bathtub after bath draining water led into flooding trouble. Towels were brought but response disappointing. A textbook example showing cheap equals poor quality Hotel Never staying again.

The location is good.
It may be time for change for the long-established Hotel in Yamagata. Even with the heating on while sleeping, the Room was cold, and unfortunately, I couldn't sleep well. The location is good, so I think you can bring out its charm with some ingenuity. Please do your best.

A hotel that gives you a Showa era vibe
We stayed here for a couple's trip. The hotel is somewhat distant from Yamagata Station, and since recently established major chain hotels are closer to the station, it feels a bit far if you walk (it takes about 20 minutes while pushing a suitcase). However, once you enter the lobby, it has an atmosphere that evokes the Showa era and a sense of age in a good way. There are also artworks displayed, giving it a retro feel of the good old days. Originally, we had booked a DX twin room, but we were upgraded to stay in the Royal Suite. It was a spacious room (74 square meters) on the top floor, 7th floor, corner room with a bedroom and a living-dining area. Initially, there was a slight odor, possibly because it is not used often, but it became unnoticeable after using an air purifier. The toilet and bathroom are together, but it is not the typical business hotel unit bath; instead, it is a spacious area surrounded by marble? There is also a separate toilet, so there was no issue even if one of us was bathing. The dining table was sturdy, making it suitable for having tea or working on a computer. The bedroom alone was as spacious as a typical business hotel twin room, allowing us to rest comfortably. In the morning, we enjoyed a meal centered around Yamagata's local cuisine (such as imoni and tama konnyaku), with a variety of dishes that were delicious. It felt like a hotel that is a symbolic presence loved by the locals.

The location is excellent.
Two adult women for one night with breakfast only. Located near Yamagata Station, the location is excellent. The exterior and interior of the hotel have a sense of history and charm, and although I was concerned about the creaking of the bed when turning over, it was well-cleaned and maintained a sense of cleanliness. The breakfast was a buffet, including Yamagata specialties like imoni soup, and the Tsuyahime rice was exquisite. It seems that non-guests can also use the breakfast service, which would be convenient for stays without meals in the vicinity. Overall, it had a very calm atmosphere, and it seems that weddings can also be held there, giving it the warm feel of a traditional Japanese business hotel. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.
