    The view is spectacular.

    The view was wonderful. It would have been perfect if the toilet and bathtub had been separate.

    The view was great, and it was directly connected to the ferry terminal, so we could really relax!!

    - The room was on a high floor with a great view—it was so relaxing!! - The staff’s attentive service was also very soothing!! - We had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, and it was delicious! - It’s a bit far from the downtown area, but there’s a well-maintained waterfront walking path, so the walk was enjoyable. I’d love to stay again.

    The view of the Sea of Japan is spectacular.

    On the day of our stay, we were upgraded to the newly renovated Prime Floor. The view of the Sea of Japan from the 29th floor was breathtaking, and we truly enjoyed the spectacular scenery. The Room had a high ceiling and felt very spacious. We used a twin Room as a triple, and the third bed was also large, allowing us to stay comfortably.

    It was a wonderful space.

    They upgraded us to a spacious corner Room, and we were able to enjoy a view beyond our expectations. Having a beer while looking out the window at dusk was exceptional.

    The stunning views are especially memorable.

    Every time I visited Niigata, I would come to the Bakauke Observatory and hope that one day I could stay at this Hotel—my wish finally came true. At the Bakauke Observatory, you can’t take your time enjoying the view for long, but from the Hotel room you can admire it whenever you like, and it’s also great to be able to head to the observatory whenever you feel like it. Being able to enjoy different scenery from daytime through morning depending on the time of day is a special perk unique to this Hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable—just what you’d expect from a luxury Hotel. Breakfast was excellent across the board, and in particular, the chef’s omelet was better than any I’ve had at other Hotels. I’d love to stay again.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    I stayed for one night for a concert. The upgraded Room was very comfortable, and they also arranged for my friend to be in the next Room. At breakfast, I enjoyed a variety of Niigata specialties—of course the rice was delicious—and there were even some pickles I’d never tried before, so I ended up eating a lot from the morning. The service was excellent as well. It’s a bit far from the station, but that made it quiet and relaxing, which I really appreciated. Next time I come to Niigata, I’d like to stay at Hotel Nikko again.

    Thank you to all the staff.

    The service at check-in was flawless. The breakfast menu was excellent, with plenty of Niigata specialties. We truly appreciated the staff’s thoughtful hospitality. The only drawback was the limited breakfast seating, but it didn’t affect our rating.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay. The service was excellent. The front desk staff not only handled check-in smoothly but also spoke to me in a friendly manner. At the breakfast restaurant as well, the staff greeted me with smiles, making it a very pleasant day. The view from the high floor was wonderful, and I would like to stay here again.

    Both the Hotel and the restaurant

    I stayed here for a Toki Messe concert. The Room was very clean and comfortable. Since there aren’t many restaurants nearby, I had Chinese food at the Hotel both days. The staff were very pleasant, and the food was delicious—on the second day we ended up saying, “Shall we go again?” and went back. Both the Hotel and the restaurant were excellent, making for an enjoyable stay. I will visit again.

    For a live concert

    I stayed here for a live concert at Toki Messe. It was wonderful that the Hotel is connected to the venue, and every member of the front desk staff greeted us with a smile. Even though there were many guests, I truly appreciated their calm and courteous service. The Room was also clean and easy to use. The rooftop observation deck was great as well. When we come to Toki Messe, my daughter and I agreed this is the only place we would choose. Thank you very much.

    I originally had a R...

    I originally had a Reservation at another Hotel, but switched to this one after being tempted by IKYU’s signature discount offer. Even though my Reservation was not made through One Harmony, they still applied the full member benefits, making my stay both very comfortable and great value. My Room was a spacious mid-floor Room facing Bandai Bridge, with a wonderful view over the city of Niigata. The area around Toki Messe is mostly parking lots and there are no convenience stores nearby, so I recommend buying drinks and other items before check-in. That said, Bandai City is only about a 15–20 minute walk away. It was a very comfortable stay. Thank you very much.

    Great views and close to the harbor!

    We stayed here the night before heading to Sado Island. It was conveniently located near the port. The view from the window was wonderful, and we had a great stay.

    Enjoy panoramic views of Niigata, with convenient access for transfers to Sado Kisen ferries.

    I stayed here the night before in Niigata to catch the morning Sado Kisen ferry. Even though I checked in late, around 10 p.m., the staff handled everything politely and efficiently, which was a big help. Breakfast starts with Niigata’s famous sauce katsudon, along with soba, simmered dishes, and other local specialties. With very high ceilings and great service from the staff, I was able to start the day feeling refreshed. I’d love to stay here again when visiting Sado!

    Perfect for a Golden Week road trip.

    We stayed here on the first night of our Golden Week road trip, and we were able to relax comfortably with great views from the observation room inside the building and from our Room. The breakfast was delicious, and it helped make our sightseeing on the second day even more fulfilling.

    It was a pleasant stay.

    It was a very cozy Room. It rained on the first day, but we were able to fully enjoy the beautiful city views of Niigata (later it turned cloudy, then sunny). We could hear some sound from a live concert at Toki Messe even on a high floor. Since it was the concert we came for, it actually made us happy, but guests who are sensitive to noise or vibrations may find it noticeable. We had booked a Plan without breakfast, but added it later. There was such a wide variety that we couldn’t finish everything, and everything was delicious—we were truly impressed by the high quality of Niigata’s food. We would love to stay again.

    Recommended after a live show at Toki Messe.

    Including Chinese Restaurant Toh-Lee, which we visited at lunchtime, everyone at the front desk and in the breakfast venue was very pleasant, making our stay comfortable—thanks to you, we had a wonderful two days. Thank you very much. The location is perfect—you can come back from an idol group live show and be in bed right away. Although it can be difficult to make a Reservation, I would love to stay with you again when visiting Toki Messe. The bamboo shoot and squid salad at breakfast was delicious and especially memorable. I also appreciated the local dishes and the rice served from a traditional hagama pot. I also bought a cheeseburger at the on-site convenience store “Everyone,” and the patty tasted like something homemade (in a good way!), with a charm that mass-produced items don’t have. I’m sure the other bento boxes are delicious as well. I love Niigata. I know you are very busy, but I would be happy if you continue to welcome guests warmly. Thank you for your continued support.

    Before check-in, I u...

    Before check-in, I used the restroom and accidentally left behind an important handkerchief. When I asked at the front desk, they replied, “We don’t have it,” without checking. Since it was a lost item, I believe they should have confirmed properly, but the staff member on duty felt cold and unhelpful—for example, they didn’t ask what it looked like. I’ve stayed here for the past few years, so this response was disappointing. It was especially disappointing because the service had always been good until now.

    I stayed for one nig...

    I stayed for one night on my way back from Sado Island. It’s very convenient, within walking distance of the Sado Kisen ferry terminal. Depending on the situation, you might even be able to walk to Niigata Station (I took a taxi). The staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was also excellent—the omelet and aged curry were especially delicious. One minor issue: the flush handle on the Room toilet felt loose and was difficult to turn.

    Thank you for a wonderful time.

    I stayed for two nights on a high floor to enjoy cherry blossoms in Niigata and the sunset over Sado Island. The sunset was beautifully visible on the second night, and all rooms on the 25th floor were spotless. The breakfast venue is compact and easy to use, with a wide variety of dishes—I didn’t get tired of it even after two days. Of course, the staff’s service was perfect. Among the Hotels I’ve booked via IKYU, I personally think this one offers some of the best value for money, so I gave it a 5 for the first time. That said, I always bring my own toiletries so it wasn’t an issue for me, but I’m mentioning it for other guests: there were no bathroom amenities provided.

    The view from the Room is amazing.

    I visit Niigata from time to time, and I’d always wanted to stay at Hotel Nikko, so I chose it for this trip. The Room was simple and clean, and the view from the high-rise Hotel was excellent. Since it’s a bit far from Niigata Station, it may feel slightly inconvenient. Breakfast was quite good, but the milk in the coffee I had at the end had curdled. Overall, I’d rate it around 3.5–4.

    The location and views are outstanding.

    I stayed here for personal reasons, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The views and location were excellent, and I was able to watch the sunset from the observation deck. I enjoyed delicious nearby sushi and bought Shiozawa-grown Koshihikari rice and seafood—also served at the Hotel breakfast—as souvenirs. The staff were very kind and left a great impression. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Buses run from Niiga...

    Buses run from Niigata Station, but it’s also within walking distance. It is probably the tallest building in Niigata, and not only the top-floor observation deck but also the view from the room was excellent. I stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room; it was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast offered local ingredients and dishes, which I really enjoyed.

    There are no restaurants nearby, and it is located about a 2,000-yen taxi ride from the station, but the Room was comfortable and the view was great.

    We enjoyed our stay in a corner Room with a great view. We had high expectations because breakfast was labeled as Niigata rice, but the rice was a bit disappointing. Since this is Niigata, we would really appreciate it if you could serve delicious rice.

    We had an excellent stay.

    We stayed as a three-generation family. It was the first time for the children to stay in a high-floor hotel, and they were excited throughout our stay. The room was very comfortable and relaxing. The view from the hotel was also amazing! We also dined at the Chinese restaurant "Tao Li" within the hotel, where our requests were accommodated, allowing us to have a meaningful time. Since we stayed during New Year's holidays, we enjoyed traditional New Year's dishes at breakfast as well. We would love to stay here again in the future!

    Not cost-effective

    Since it was an off-season Sunday stay, accommodations in the city were generally affordable. I decided to choose the best hotel available and stayed here. However, to be honest, it was disappointing. The staff were kind and attentive, but the room, atmosphere, and breakfast were not much different from a business hotel. Although I knew the location wasn't ideal, I still had high expectations since it had the highest accommodation fee in the city—but those expectations were completely let down. For this location, room quality, and atmosphere, the price is far too high. Even though it's an older building, Hotel Okura offers better prices with a more convenient location and a luxurious feel that makes you feel pampered. Also surprising was that the only nearby convenience store closed at 7 PM—it’s not convenient at all!

    A Hotel with views of Sado Island and Mount Yahiko.

    Stayed in a corner room on the 25th floor. The view of Sado Island and Mt. Yahiko was fantastic. The room was clean. For just under 30,000 yen, the accommodation included bathrobes, which was surprising. One downside was the lack of power outlets; instead, there were multiple USB ports, which was slightly inconvenient. From the bathroom, you can see Niigata's cityscape and the Sea of Japan; however, due to steam fogging up the glass, it became difficult to enjoy these views—anti-fog glass would have been better. Despite some drawbacks, I found it to be excellent value for money overall and would rate it a solid 4 out of 5—very satisfied!

    It became a memorable experience.

    This was my first time staying here. Last time in Niigata, the accommodation was fully booked, so I couldn't visit. This time, my room was upgraded, and the view was amazing. There were fireworks, and it was my first time seeing them from above. I stayed for two nights and tried the morning buffet once. Despite not being a large-scale setup, they paid attention to details like making fruits easy to eat and delivering omelets directly to the table. I've stayed at many hotels before, but this was by far the best morning buffet I've ever had! I deeply regretted not trying it on the first day as well! The congee was absolutely outstanding! I would stay here again just for that morning buffet! Thank you for such wonderful memories!

    I will come again.

    I had the pleasure of staying during the LIVE event at Toki Messe. Initially, it was difficult to secure a Reservation, but I frequently Checked and luckily found an available spot to Complete the Reservation, which was truly fortunate. Despite being busy with many guests attending the LIVE event, the Hotel staff provided exceptional service. As it was my first time in Niigata, I appreciated having local specialties for breakfast. The view from the observatory was breathtaking, and it made me want to explore more places in Niigata; this is why I decided to visit again. It’s also convenient that you can shop at Pier Bandai within walking distance. On my way back, as it was raining, I took a taxi to the station; even the driver left a great impression on me with their kindness—Niigata people seem very warm-hearted overall. Thanks to this LIVE event, I've found another place I love visiting! I'm looking forward to next time. Thank you very much!
