    Hotel Associa was a very good Hotel. I look forward to a fresh start this autumn.

    I stayed here for one night during the May holiday period. The room was very clean, which was great. From the 15th floor, I could only catch a brief view of the Northern Alps in the evening and early morning, but if I’m lucky enough to get clear weather next time, it would be an outstanding stay. Breakfast was delicious as well—these days many Hotels seem to be putting more effort into their food, and I really enjoyed it. Overall, this is a highly rated Hotel. I hear it will relaunch this autumn as an international luxury Hotel brand, and I’m very much looking forward to it.

    A warm Hotel

    I had to cancel my trip in the summer because heavy rain blocked the roads. At that time, you handled everything very kindly, and I promised myself I would definitely come again—at last, I was able to visit recently. All of the staff were warm and courteous, and it was truly relaxing. The scenery was beautiful, and the view from the large public bath was especially amazing. Breakfast also had a great variety and was delicious! It would be even more comfortable if there were more towels available, or a place in the Room to hang them to dry. It was a wonderful trip. I’ll be back again! Thank you very much.

    We had a great time.

    Overall, we were satisfied. Thank you for accommodating our request to change the dinner time—it was very helpful. We would have been even happier if there had been Hida miso hoba-yaki; since it’s a buffet, we understand it may be difficult to prepare.

    Enjoyed Hida beef and the open-air bath.

    A wonderful hotel. The bath was excellent, and the open-air bath had a great view and was very relaxing. The staff provided professional service typical of a hotel, and everyone was very kind, making my stay comfortable. I stayed for a multiple night stay (2 nights), and they were considerate in ensuring the meals were not repetitive. However, the Hida beef rice bowl was so delicious that I wouldn’t have minded having it both days. The hotel is located on a hill and is slightly far from the station, but you can use the shuttle service without needing a reservation. Highly recommended as a base for visiting Shirakawa-go. The Hida sake tasting in the lobby offered a calm atmosphere compared to those in town, which made it even more enjoyable. I would love to visit again!

    We stayed for 2 nigh...

    We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. As we chose the No Meals Included plan, we enjoyed Japanese cuisine at the Hotel for dinner on both nights. We had a Hida beef kaiseki meal, and the meat was tender and of high quality. The sashimi and other dishes were also very delicious. The large public bath was spacious, and the open-air bath offered a stunning view where we could relax while enjoying the snowy scenery. If given the chance, we would love to visit again. Next time, we'd like to try the teppanyaki as well. Thank you for your hospitality!

    The view from the open-air bath is breathtaking!

    We stayed at a very reasonable price, likely due to the off-season. The view from the spacious bath was absolutely stunning. Bathing is available until 11:00 AM, so we enjoyed it multiple times. We would love to visit again during the same season!

    Too many foreign guests.

    During dinner, groups of 4 or 6 were quite loud, and we wished for a quieter dining experience. The seating was also too close together; it would have been better if the tables were spaced out or arranged with more consideration.

    It was an accommodation that satisfied everything.

    I had a pleasant stay at the Associa group accommodation as expected. The meals, served on the last day of the summer menu, were delicious. While there were fewer small dishes and à la carte options, it was just the right amount for someone nearing 70 years old who enjoys drinking. The facility was well-maintained and clean, providing a comfortable experience. Many international guests were staying as well, all adhering to proper manners during their stay. It would be appreciated if towels could be provided in the bath facilities. If I have another opportunity to visit Takayama, I would love to stay here again.

    Takayama was a wonderful place.

    After purchasing a car, I visited Takayama, Shirakawa-go, and Mt. Hakusan from Osaka on a scenic drive. The hotel was located slightly away from the station, offering a quiet and relaxing stay. The highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking views of the Northern Alps mountains. Especially after taking a bath, it was wonderful to relax outdoors while admiring the mountain scenery—I even dozed off for a moment! A foreign guest kept exclaiming "Great!" repeatedly. The food was decent but could be improved in quality to make it perfect. It seems inevitable that there are many inbound tourists these days. If I visit the Takayama area again, I would love to stay here once more.

    Disappointing service

    I stayed for two nights, but I was particularly disappointed with the actions of the restaurant floor staff. At the buffet restaurant, a guest dropped a tray, causing plates to break and food to scatter. While it was good that the staff immediately started cleaning up, they did not check on the guest who dropped it or other nearby guests to see if anyone was injured or affected—they simply focused on cleaning. In another instance, a staff member dragged a chair for nearly 10 meters instead of lifting it, which seemed unusual. When moving between tables, staff prioritized their own movement over accommodating guests; customers had to step aside or stop to let them pass. I also had to move out of their way several times myself. There were other issues involving front desk staff as well, but I will refrain from mentioning them here. These may seem like minor details, but they left me feeling somewhat disappointed overall. I hope proper training will be implemented when transitioning into Hilton management standards.

    The service, room, a...

    The service, room, and meals were truly satisfying. However, I couldn't help but notice what seemed like mold in the bathing area (though it might not have been), which made me hesitant to touch the showerhead and other fixtures. It's a shame because the view and temperature of the Onsen were excellent. Everything else was wonderful, so I would love to stay again if given the chance.

    At first, I thought, "Huh?!" but...

    There was an issue with the preparation of the Room, as the extra bed was not set up. After contacting the front desk, they promptly checked and arranged for us to move to another Room where it could be accommodated. Although we had already used the toilet and sink in the initial Room, we appreciated their quick and kind response. We were able to relax comfortably in the new Room. The public bath was very pleasant, and breakfast was delicious. With parking available and Shuttle Service to Takayama Station, we could leave our car behind and enjoy a leisurely day of sightseeing.

    The service was excellent, and it was a Resort Hotel-like accommodation.

    This was my first time staying at Associa H. Although I was initially worried about the walking distance from Takayama Station, the moment I entered the lobby, everyone was kind, friendly, and welcoming. The shuttle bus to Takayama Station was convenient, allowing us as an elderly couple to enjoy strolling around the town without any inconvenience. The Room was spacious with a pleasant view overlooking Takayama City. The bath facilities were large with plenty of options, and the relaxation area after bathing felt spacious and comfortable, giving an overall sense of ease and generosity. However, one disappointment was the breakfast buffet venue. The seating arrangement felt cramped with little space between tables, making it hard to relax. Despite the delicious variety of food offered at breakfast, this setup diminished our enjoyment once seated. With many tour groups present and a busy schedule in mind, I hope improvements can be made by organizing time slots to avoid overcrowding. In comparison to other city Hotels' breakfast venues, this aspect left me feeling disappointed in the end.

    Although it is a bit...

    Although it is a bit far from Takayama Station, it is located on a hill where you can overlook Takayama city from your room. Additionally, you can enjoy the Onsen in the large public bath while admiring the Northern Alps mountains, which was truly wonderful.

    It is the top-tier Resort Hotel.

    I have stayed at a fair number of Resort Hotels so far, but the cleanliness, scale, quality of the buffet, service quality, child-friendly amenities, and the size and maintenance of the large public bath were all outstanding. In particular, I am deeply grateful to the female staff member who was in charge of cleaning the large public bath. I happened to share an elevator with her on my way to the bath. When I realized in the changing room that I had forgotten to bring a towel from my room and returned to the elevator, she kindly asked what was wrong. Although it might not be allowed normally, she lent me a towel from their backroom. Considering how tiring it would have been to return to our room with children in such a large Hotel, this gesture was truly helpful. Thank you very much!

    Hotel offering scenic views unique to Takayama

    Staying at a hotel near the station for sightseeing is great, but this Hotel offers an excellent location to enjoy a panoramic view of Takayama city from the highlands. While the furniture and decorations show some signs of aging, the staff around the front desk are attentive and made for a pleasant stay. One downside was the collection of plates at the breakfast buffet. Despite having many staff members, there was a lack of attention, and I had to clear my own plates. As this is a Hotel I would like to revisit, I hope this can be improved.

    Cozy Hotel

    The bath chairs could use an update, but overall it was a nice and relaxing Hotel. The view from the open-air bath was absolutely stunning.

    This is my second stay. I appreciate that my requests mentioned during the Reservation were fulfilled. The greatest advantage of this Hotel is its view. Additionally, the shuttle bus between the Hotel and Takayama Station operates every hour without a Reservation, which is very convenient. I read news about this Hotel being rebranded under the Hilton brand in the future, and I believe it will naturally address any elements it may have lacked until now. If you are not particular about staying near the station, this is a highly recommended Hotel.

    Stunning View!

    The view of Takayama city from the top floor was stunning. Both the interior and rooms were impeccably clean, which was very pleasant. While there were many group guests on weekdays, adjusting meal times slightly allowed us to enjoy breakfast and dinner at a leisurely pace while admiring the magnificent panorama through the windows. Being seated at a window-side table (perhaps pre-assigned by staff) left a positive impression as well. Overall, I was very satisfied and would love to stay here again if given the chance. However, on the night before checkout, I purchased souvenirs in bulk at the shop and handed over a "5% OFF" coupon during payment. Upon checking my receipt after returning home, it didn’t seem like any discount had been applied (I regret not verifying this on-site). This part was slightly disappointing.

    Stunning views

    We stayed here as a family for my daughter's university graduation trip. The view from the bath was amazing, and the Hotel had a very clean atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent with no complaints. There were many international guests as well. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

    Neither good nor bad.

    First of all, I wish they hadn't removed the refreshments at the post-bath area. The buffet had some delicious dishes and some that were just okay. Also, there were many inbound groups, so it wasn't a calm dining environment. The bath was nice, but these days, a low-temperature sauna is... I would have preferred a high-temperature one.

    A wide variety of open-air baths

    The open-air bath offers different views in the morning and evening, and with various types available, it was nice to relax and enjoy. Since there seem to be many foreign tourists, it might be good to display or distribute information about bath manners and rules outside the bath area as well. During summer drives, I would like to cool ice packs, so it would be helpful if the room's refrigerator, even if small, had a freezer compartment. All the staff members were courteous, and I could feel their hospitality.

    Relaxing

    It was a long weekend, so it was very lively, but I was able to relax. However, there were many families with small children and babies, which is a good thing, but there were babies in the bathing facilities, and there was a bit of a urine smell, so that was a little disappointing. But I guess it can't be helped.
