I had several complaints.

First Visit
This was our first visit, as we were looking for a resort where children can enjoy the pool and the aquarium. The aquarium was truly close by, which made us very satisfied. We enjoyed the pool as well, but it would be great if there were child-friendly rental items such as swim helpers or inflatable rings—especially helpful for guests traveling from far away. For families visiting by train with children, a shuttle bus between Uminonakamichi Station and the Hotel, and also between the Wonder World entrance and the Hotel, would be greatly appreciated. Also, a coin laundry is essential when traveling with children; it would be wonderful if it could be used more easily than a laundry service. We would like to visit again if we have the chance. Thank you very much.

Family Trip with a 2-Year-Old
As the title says, we stayed for two nights with our 2-year-old. Dining: We booked the sushi and Italian set courses. The sushi in particular was moist and delicious, almost like aged sushi, though I would have liked a bit more variety. The Italian course was neither particularly good nor bad. Both restaurants had many families with children, so we could enjoy our meals without worrying about those around us. Room: We had a Room with a balcony and were very satisfied. By chance we could see fireworks on the opposite shore—it was amazing! There are separate pools for adults and children, so we felt safe letting our child play. Please be extremely careful not to lose the pink card used for towel exchanges at the pool—there is a 5,000 yen charge per card if it is lost! Bath: As others have mentioned in reviews, there was a chlorine smell after bathing. Also, the bath was too hot for children, while the cold bath was so cold it felt like an ice-bucket challenge. It would be better if there were two options for each: hot baths (one very hot and one around 38–39°C) and cold baths (one very cold and one around 20°C). The layout is great—you can go straight to the large public bath right after coming up from the pool stairs. I’d also like face wash to be provided in the bathing area. Overall, it was a satisfying stay. Thank you to all of the staff.

I had a consistently wonderful stay and was completely satisfied throughout.
This was our first stay in three years, and our first summer visit with children. After enjoying the pool, our child fell asleep and we weren’t sure what to do, so we asked just in case—and you were able to let us check in almost two hours earlier than planned. It was a huge help. Our child was fully refreshed after a nap on the bed, and we were able to enjoy the pool even more afterward. The BBQ was also great for families with kids—our children played on the lawn, so we could relax and take our time. It’s a bit of a shame that we couldn’t use the container sauna or spa because we had children with us, but we were very satisfied with the extraordinary experience that felt like being abroad. We would be very happy if the wine selection could be improved a little more.

The breakfast selection was very limited.
As I pointed out last time, it still hasn’t improved, and the breakfast selection was sparse. This time I had breakfast with an acquaintance from outside, so I’ll say this clearly: please address it before guests have to notice and complain. With a three-session rotation and limited time, it’s not acceptable for dishes to be available one moment and gone the next. If pricing differed by time slot, that would be understandable, but paying the same price and finding items unavailable is frustrating. Even when food is eventually replenished after waiting, it feels too late. If you are trying to reduce food waste, a better approach might be to offer a buffet for the first and second sessions and switch to made-to-order for the third session. Thank you for your consideration.

The Best View
I stayed at The Luigans Glamping “Denosy” Seaside Twin. On the terrace at the entrance to the Room, there was a comfortable sofa, table, and chairs where I could relax, and right in front of it was a panoramic view of Hakata Bay—an amazing feeling. However, it was a bit lonely not having a TV... For dinner we drove out for seafood, but if there were a restaurant at inn the park, it would be perfect! The breakfast pack matched the atmosphere and was very delicious. It was my first time using an electric kick scooter for getting around, and it was really fun. Finally, all of the staff were very kind and helpful—thank you so much! I would definitely stay again if I have the chance.

Different from the photos.
The price and the room grade don’t match at all. It might be fine if your main purpose is visiting the aquarium or the underwater park. There was no Diamond benefit upgrade either. Nearly 60,000 yen for a unit bath. It was so different from the photos that I was shocked.

Lounge Access Before Check-in
There was a notice in the elevator stating that the lounge can be used for a fee of 1,100 yen, limited to 2:00 PM–5:00 PM. However, it did not match the photos. Even before we started using it, the snacks were almost gone, and neither alcohol nor soft drinks were being refilled unless we pointed it out—only then would staff bring more. There was no ham either; even if you bring it to us individually, shouldn’t it be available for everyone? Is this what we should expect for 1,100 yen? I would like to see improvements.

It was quite a memor...
It was quite a memorable stay. The Room has very poor soundproofing—you can clearly hear noise from the neighboring rooms and the hallway, and during the day you pick up a lot of cleaning noise. Outside noise is, of course, also audible; the volume of wedding events is so loud it’s almost comical. Is the concept that you’re meant to sing along in your Room to phrases like “I’m glad I fell in love with you—banzai” with the guests? I wasn’t mature enough for that. And I assume my own Room noise must be leaking out just as much. If you want to confess your feelings to someone, it leaks enough to be perfect. Despite the size of the Room, overall livability is extremely low and it’s awkward to use—there’s an impressive amount of dead space as well. Only now did I realize maybe we’re being told to design for ourselves how we’re supposed to spend time in the Room. Exposed cables and similar details are also quite novel. All in all, I found myself thinking that anyone who felt they could truly relax in this Room probably isn’t someone I could be friends with right now. Next, about breakfast—which has many Reviews: there’s no standout item, and throughout it all I kept asking myself what exactly they’re trying to promote. Since there’s no variation in the menu, for me on a Multiple Night Stay it was honestly an ordeal. The onigiri that receives so much praise is basically just pressing rice into a mold and adding fillings—again raising a big question about why staff time is spent on this. Once you think calmly about it, these aren’t items where “freshly made” makes them best anyway, so the purpose of a live kitchen becomes hard to understand. In practice they use very hot rice close to freshly cooked temperature, which makes the nori go limp instead of crisp; it ruins the texture and simply makes them difficult to eat. Watching other guests eat them made it clear most people struggled too—it’s a battle against having them fall apart after one bite. Even by my last day I never acquired the skill needed to eat them neatly. There were various other puzzling services during my stay as well, but what consistently stood out was an apparent lack of any thought such as “Who are we trying to serve?” or “How will guests feel from their perspective?” Everything changes with time. It may work for families or those with children who want something lively as an extension of everyday life—and where making noise won’t lead to complaints—but for everyone else it becomes a struggle against irritation. That this can cost 30,000 yen per night made for a stay filled with worlds I apparently don’t know yet. Finally, even more memorable was how dynamic (to put it politely) the Shuttle Service driving back toward Hakata Station was—a fitting finale.

This was my second stay this year, and it truly felt like a resort—I was able to relax and unwind in the Room. It’s also close to my home, so I’d like to continue staying here for relaxation.

Staying at INN THE PARK requires some preparation.
If you stay at INN THE PARK on a whim just because it “looks like a nice Room for the price,” you may regret it—because it’s a glamping Accommodation. 1. The toilets and baths are shared (both are clean). 2. Locking/unlocking is done at ground level—i.e., in a squatting position—so it can be tough for anyone with back pain. On rainy days, you’ll need to do this while holding an umbrella. 3. You can only get to the Hotel by shuttle bus or private car (the shuttle doesn’t run very frequently). If you’re not going to the Hotel, you’ll need to arrange your own dinner. For reference, the Hotel’s course meal is available if you make an advance Reservation. 4. The walls don’t block light well, so morning sunlight will wake you up. I brought an eye mask in advance, but I still woke up at 5:45 due to train noise—I should have brought earplugs. 5. I had high hopes for the lounge library collection, but it was mostly music-related manga and there wasn’t anything I wanted to read. What was good: 1. Guests can use rental bicycles for free, so I enjoyed cycling. If you leave early, they can apparently handle the return at the front desk even outside business hours. 2. If you tell them at the Reservation stage that you’re concerned about toilet access, they will accommodate as much as possible. However, earlier check-ins are prioritized, and if there were guests staying the night before, you won’t get the Room closest to the toilet. 3. For breakfast, you reserve a time in advance; they said they “start cooking after seeing your face,” so it’s served freshly made. In addition to panini, it comes with soup and salad, and you can choose a café latte as well. 4. Heating is fully provided and they warmed up my Room in advance. There’s also an electric blanket so it wasn’t cold (late April). 5. Uminonakamichi Seaside Park is huge; if the weather were good I would have liked to stay two nights (one night isn’t enough to enjoy everything—though INN THE PARK also feels like one night is plenty). If you do that, don’t forget to pick up a “Park Map” at Hikari-to-Kaze Plaza. In my case I researched thoroughly beforehand so I have no regrets—but I wouldn’t recommend it to others. If you book a Seaside Suite with its own bath/toilet facilities, though, you likely won’t have any complaints. Requests for improvement: - There’s no need for razors in the women’s bath area; please provide a brush or comb instead. - Even if it costs several thousand yen more per night, I wish guests could specify and Reserve the Room closest to the toilet. - It would be even better if the toilets at Hikari-to-Kaze Plaza were available at night as well. - It was disappointing that I wasn’t given a gate key—perhaps because they assumed I didn’t need one.

First Time Staying at In the Park
I stay at Luigans about once a month, but this was my first time using IN THE PARK in Uminonakamichi. The toilets are outside, the bath is also outside, and both the dining area and the bath close completely at 22:00. Bugs can get in, there’s no TV—it felt like a luxury campsite. It’s best suited for people who love nature and value spending time outdoors, but it wasn’t really for me.

The view of Hakata Bay is amazing.
We stayed here for the first time as a couple, and the all-ocean-view Rooms were truly appealing. From our Room, we enjoyed the ocean-blue sea stretching beyond Hakata Bay and the night view. The moon suddenly appeared as well, and with the sunrise the next morning, it was an amazing Room. It was disappointing that there were only a few drinks and snacks in the club lounge, but we were surprised to find plenty of beverages (including a large bottle of sparkling wine) stocked in the in-room minibar refrigerator. Since my husband’s goal was to visit Hakata’s yatai food stalls, we took the 5:00 PM Shuttle Service bus to Hakata, and it was great that we could also return by Shuttle Service bus. Because we had been drinking at the yatai stalls in Hakata, we could hardly drink any of the alcohol from the refrigerator, which was such a shame. Next time, we would like to stay for two nights and visit Marine World. On our way there, due to traffic congestion, what was supposed to be a 50-minute ride took as long as 1 hour and 30 minutes. We felt anxious about what time we would arrive. It would have been helpful if the Shuttle Service driver had announced an estimated arrival time.

The Room was clean, and overall I was satisfied except that the bathroom and toilet doors were heavy. However, the customer service from both the female and male front desk staff was not good. After completing payment, it was the first time I have encountered front desk staff who did not even say “thank you.” I hope they understand that a single person’s attitude can leave a negative impression of an otherwise wonderful Facility.

This was my first stay. I checked in at 3:00 PM. Around 6:00 PM, the staff delivered my Diamond member benefits to my Room, explaining they had forgotten to inform me earlier. However, the one drink benefit was only available until 5:00 PM, so I couldn’t use it, which was disappointing. I went to dinner feeling a bit unsettled, but the teppanyaki dinner was so wonderful that it completely changed my mood! It was a set course, and every dish was delicious. In particular, the service from the staff member in charge was excellent and made the experience truly enjoyable—I ended up drinking quite a bit. Thank you very much. I’d like to stop by this Hotel again for a meal. The Room with a balcony felt a little chilly in March, but it was very relaxing and pleasant. Next time, I’d like to stay in the same Room during a warmer season.

A Cozy Classic Resort
We stayed for one night at the end of January as a family of three (our daughter is 3). All the Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming with warm smiles, and it was a great Hotel where we could relax in a classic atmosphere. The breakfast tortilla soup, massaman curry, and freshly made onigiri were all delicious. You can really tell they are prepared with guests’ enjoyment in mind. Lunch at the teppanyaki restaurant was also excellent and very good value. It’s about a 3-minute walk to the park. There are lots of large play structures, and they also rent kick bikes—our 3-year-old had an absolute blast. On the way back, we took a taxi to Hakata Station; it took about 40 minutes on Saturday early afternoon and cost just over 6,000 yen. A few points I’d like to see improved: (1) We borrowed a child’s chair in the buffet area, but there were no protective pads on the legs, so it made a loud scraping noise every time we moved it. I felt sorry for other guests nearby. I hope this can be addressed so chairs can be moved quietly. (2) The elevator windows seemed dirty. (3) The toilet and bath in our room were not separate; it was a unit bath. Since it’s an older building, I understand this may be unavoidable. Aside from these three points, it was a very good Hotel. The park was wonderful as well, so we would like to stay again.

Thank you!
The hospitality and smiles of the front desk and restaurant staff were even more impressive than when I stayed three years ago. The overall Asian-inspired atmosphere made it warm and comfortable, even in the middle of winter. Dinner was an omakase course at Genkai, which was delicious as expected, leaving me full despite the small portions. The water in the large public bath felt a bit lukewarm for me, and I noticed a bleach smell, but the sunrise from my room's balcony upon waking up was absolutely stunning. I accidentally left something behind in my Room but was relieved by the quick response of the concierge over the phone, who promptly arranged to send it to me; I received it by the next morning. Thank you so much—I definitely want to stay here again!

I always stay here in winter and summer. This time, we stayed in a new Nordic-style room with a bunk bed and a projector, which made the kids very happy! The meals were delicious, and the service was excellent. Thank you for providing us with such wonderful moments every time.

I have stayed multiple times.
I have stayed here multiple times and earned points, so I made a reservation through IKYU. The room was spacious enough to open my suitcase comfortably, which was great. For dinner, when I mentioned that I am not fond of raw fish, they quickly adjusted the menu to include cooked dishes and meat instead. I enjoyed a relaxing and pleasant time while gazing at the ocean. Thank you very much!

Spacious tropical-style entrance and courtyard with a great atmosphere, offering a relaxing view from the Room. The ceiling felt slightly low overall, which was noticeable as my husband is tall. The public bath was stylish and provided a relaxing experience. This time, we skipped breakfast due to plans to visit a friend in the morning, but I’d love to try it next time!

About Breakfast
Breakfast starts at 9:00, but the offerings were quite lacking. There was no pork miso soup, mackerel was scarce, salads were not replenished, the original smoothies were empty, and there was no staff at the rice ball station, causing delays. While the rice balls were exceptionally delicious, I cannot recommend breakfast during this time slot. At a discounted rate it might be understandable, but paying the full price of 3,800 yen feels too expensive.

The Hotel itself is compact, but it features a spacious garden and surrounding environment, making it very enjoyable with small children. The Room was spacious, the large public bath was clean, and the lighting and interior tones were calm and lovely. We only visited the restaurant "The lounge on the water," but both the breakfast buffet and dinner were highly satisfying. Within walking distance are Marine World and Seaside Park, providing an excellent environment for spending time with children. It was also convenient to reach within about 30 minutes by car from Fukuoka Airport.

Delicious meals
Dinner was at an Italian restaurant, featuring fresh and delicious seafood dishes. The waiter recommended the perfect pairings of wine and food with impeccable timing, enhancing our dining experience. When my grandchild, going through a fussy phase, suddenly wanted something like cake, the staff kindly prepared a luxurious fruit platter topped with sparklers. This thoughtful gesture delighted my grandchild and saved the day! Thank you so much!

The Hotel and surrounding Facilities are excellent.
We stayed as a family, including my daughter, her spouse, and grandchildren. The surrounding facilities include an aquarium and a vast park, which are too extensive to explore in just one night. Next time, they are asking to visit when the pool is open. Everyone was satisfied with the Hotel's meals. It’s a Hotel we would love to use again.

Seaside Hotel
A rare seaside Hotel in Fukuoka. The pool has a slightly luxurious atmosphere and feels great. The sophistication of the poolside is just right. The BBQ area was crowded with people, but the lawn in front, the twilight sky, and fireworks at night made it all worthwhile. On the lawn, movies were screened on a big screen, and people sat on mats to watch them. It felt like a peaceful moment straight out of an American movie. Located 40 minutes from the city center, this is a unique Hotel offering experiences unlike any other. A place you'd wish to last forever.
