    It is a clean Hotel.

    I often have trouble sleeping when I travel, but the bed here suited me well and I slept soundly. At the top-floor bar, there were no other guests, so I was able to enjoy a luxurious night view of Matsuyama Castle all to myself and was very satisfied. The breakfast buffet also offered a wide variety of options and tasted great. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

    Overall, it’s a good Hotel, but…

    As an airline-affiliated Hotel, it generally feels safe and reliable to stay here. It is located in the heart of Matsuyama, right in front of the Okaido tram/bus stop and next to Mitsukoshi. An excellent location for both sightseeing and business. Downtown Matsuyama is also conveniently close to Matsuyama Airport. Matsuyama Castle, Bansuiso, and the Saka no Ue no Kumo Museum are all nearby, and once you cross the intersection you’re on Ropeway Street, with plenty of restaurants—so dining and shopping are easy. I chose a plan with breakfast, and it was very tasty. However, the menu felt a bit limited. This time there was an issue with my Room, and they handled it by changing Rooms for me. The response was quick and courteous. Still, it was disappointing that I was initially given a Room with a problem. Amenities in the Room consist only of a toothbrush. For any other amenities, you have to request them at check-in and receive them directly. This is very inconvenient; I’d prefer amenities to be provided in the Room or at least available for guests to pick up freely on the guest floor. With this system, check-in takes longer, and if you need additional amenities you have to go all the way back to the front desk each time, which is inconvenient. That’s why I can’t quite give it 4 or 5 stars. Despite some drawbacks, both the location and service are good overall, so I think it’s a good Hotel on balance. If asked whether I’d stay again: definitely yes.

    The lounge was great.

    The Room was a Deluxe Twin in the main building. It had two sofas and chairs, which made it very convenient. There were four capsule coffees, and it was nice that you could adjust the amount. After dining out in the evening, I had drinks in the lounge; the bartender was kind and easy to order from, which I really appreciated. For breakfast, they make rice balls on the spot, so I enjoyed them very much. Personally, perhaps due to current times, it was disappointing that amenities were not placed in the Room from the start. Still, overall I am very satisfied.

    Overall, I’m satisfied, but…

    As the title says, there were no major issues overall, but the breakfast was a bit disappointing. My stay included breakfast, so I don’t know the exact charge, but a flyer said breakfast was 3,000 yen, so I assume that’s the standard price. Considering that price: The corn soup had less than 3 cm left at the bottom of the pot, making it hard to ladle out, and I couldn’t find any soup bowls even after looking around. I had no choice but to use a salad plate; later, seeing other guests, I think there were supposed to be soup cups. After toasting bread and looking around, there was no butter. When I asked a staff member, they did bring some over… The worst part was the omelet made in front of you by the chef. It stuck to the pan and looked worse than something made at home. I watched thinking they would redo it… but it was served as is—unacceptable. I was so shocked that I took a photo of it. Seeing that omelet, you wouldn’t think it was made by a professional. There were some positives—the coffee was brought properly. There’s more I could say, but that’s enough for now.

    Discount Coupon

    I have stayed at this Accommodation many times. This time, the breakfast had been renewed and I enjoyed it. What was disappointing was that the brochure I received at check-in included a Discount Coupon for the on-site restaurant. I only noticed it after I had already eaten. It was a shame, because if someone had mentioned it at check-in, I could have used it.

    It’s my favorite.

    I stay here almost every year for the Ehime Marathon. I have dinner at Unkai and breakfast at the Sky Lounge, and I’m always very satisfied—the food is delicious and there’s a great variety. The only “downside,” if I had to name one, is that there are so many options at the breakfast buffet that I can’t try them all and end up wishing I had more time. Just kidding—please don’t reduce the selection. I’ll come back next year to finish what I missed. The service was, as expected, true Crowne Plaza quality, so I could relax and enjoy my stay with complete peace of mind. Thank you very much.

    The Hotel is conveniently located and clean.

    The front desk staff provided excellent and pleasant service. However, I was disappointed when I was told "it's fully booked" at the breakfast restaurant, despite many window-side seats being available, and was guided to a seat with no view due to a pillar. I had been looking forward to dining with a view of Matsuyama Castle, so it was a bit disheartening. Is there some kind of policy regarding this? The food itself was very delicious. Additionally, the drainage in the sink was very poor and inconvenient to use. Other than that, the Room was clean and it is a good Hotel overall.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    The room felt slightly smaller compared to other ANA Crowne Plaza hotels. Amenities have been significantly reduced compared to before, giving a somewhat modest impression, and it doesn't go beyond the level of a standard business hotel. However, it was clean and well-maintained. I would consider staying again.

    Before making a reservation, I checked the amenities and facilities on the hotel's website, but upon checking in on the day of my stay, some items were not provided. When I inquired at the front desk, I was initially given a dismissive response stating that "the listed items are provided." Later, when speaking with a manager, they denied any such description existed on their website. After pointing out the specific section of their website again for confirmation, they acknowledged it but did not take any action to address the missing items. Additionally, their attitude made me feel as though I was being treated as a complainer. Isn't this a breach of contract? It seemed that not only did the management fail to understand their own website's content, but also that staff were inadequately trained. This gave an impression of poor management overall. Incidentally, it appears that the hotel's website was promptly updated afterward.

    Used for business purposes.

    The location was excellent, right in the heart of the city and close to tourist attractions. The bathroom did not have a washing area, which was a bit disappointing for me personally (though I understand this cannot be helped). I was very satisfied with the staff's service.     Great location and very satisfying.

    It was very nice. The bath was spacious, and even as a tall person, I could relax comfortably. It would be great if there were square or rectangular plates with slight dividers for meals. I appreciated the coffee pot service, but it was a bit disappointing that the coffee cooled down by the time I wanted to drink it after meals. It would be even better if I could take it back to my Room.

    Smoking rooms can be uncomfortable.

    The smoking room was unbearable, possibly due to the hotel being fully booked for a conference. Considering the current times, perhaps it's time to make the entire Hotel non-smoking. It tarnishes the reputation of a first-class Hotel.

    The premier city Hotel in Matsuyama

    Located in the bustling Okaido area, with convenient access to trains and buses. From the entrance, you can feel the elegance of a true City Hotel. I stayed in a Single Room, which was reasonably sized but clean, with a wide bed that made for a comfortable stay. The price was thankfully comparable to that of a Business Hotel. Dinner was at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, "Togen," and it was delicious.

    I had a comfortable stay.

    It was my first time visiting Matsuyama, and the location was convenient with great accessibility. I had dinner at Unkai, and I found the quality to be excellent. I also enjoyed local sake that can only be tasted here. Breakfast on the 14th floor offered a great view and a wide variety of menu options. The coffee served in a pot stayed warm for longer, which was a unique experience for me. The staff were very friendly, and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Matsuyama.

    This year was a little different...

    I have been using this service every time for the Ehime Marathon. It's close to the venue, the return limousine bus is convenient, and the Hotel supports the runners, so I've been using it without hesitation, but this year... I was surprised to find almost no amenities. Although I had brought my basic cosmetics, there were no simple brushes, so I had to use a hand comb with the hairdryer. Also, after leaving my luggage and participating in the marathon, when I returned to the Hotel, I was a bit anxious as I didn't receive prompt assistance. Are they reducing staff? The breakfast was as satisfying as ever, but I felt disappointed as I couldn't find the value in staying at ANA Hotel. I would like to visit again next year if possible, so I sincerely hope for improvements.

    Rates, rooms are business, service is city hotel, result satisfactory

    Single use of the annex. The best location for sightseeing in Matsuyama City and access to JR Matsuyama Station. After all, the Hotel is primarily about location. The room is satisfactory for the price, but the walls are thin. I was a little bothered by the sound of water and snoring from the next room. Breakfast was satisfactory in quality. It's rare to find a Hotel with a room rate of around 10,000 yen that offers pot service for coffee and tea at breakfast. The service at the front desk, bell, room staff, and restaurant was all excellent, truly befitting a city Hotel in a major city.

    The building and roo...

    The building and rooms have been renovated, so they didn't feel old. The bathroom was also newly renovated, which was pleasant. The arrangement of the table, chairs, and TV was inconvenient, so some consideration for convenience might be necessary. You can enjoy breakfast while viewing Matsuyama Castle, so please take advantage of it if the weather permits.

    The castle was directly visible from the Room, which was very pleasant. The breakfast was plentiful and satisfying. The lobby was a bit busy, seemingly due to many local gatherings, but the Room was quiet and allowed for a restful stay.

    I used it for a meeting with children. It was convenient and had a charm despite its age. There was careful attention to each meal. Coffee was served in a pot at breakfast, and various types of milk were prepared in packs. The service was impeccable. However, there was no hairbrush in the Room, which was a bit disappointing for my companion.

    Good Points: The Matsuyama Castle is right in front (if you get a good Room). Close to downtown and along the city tram line, the location is particularly good. Hot water comes out quickly. Bad Points: The Room is built over 30 years ago, and there is no outlet near the bed. Breakfast has a limited variety? (Considering the price, it might be expected). The bed is quite small (it was a twin Room, but still, the bed felt quite small). (The internal line in the Hotel is completely a phone). Considering the good location, I might repeat, but since there are many other clean Hotels, I might choose another Hotel considering the price.

    Breakfast is divine.

    The Room was spacious, and I had a comfortable day. The breakfast was particularly excellent. The view from the breakfast venue was great, and the omelet made by the chef right in front of me was superb.

    Room refrigerator

    The cooling of the refrigerator in the Room was poor, which was inconvenient. Even at maximum output, it took until the final day of a 3-night stay to finally cool down. I hope for improvement.
