Accommodation Satisfaction
We had a wonderful two-day stay and were extremely satisfied with the impeccable hospitality of all the staff. The meals prepared by the Kyoto chef, both breakfast and dinner, were exceptionally delicious and left us deeply impressed. My wife, who is from Kansai, loved the morning white miso soup so much that she wanted seconds, so I shared mine with her. The unlimited rice and raw eggs were also greatly appreciated. The three of us are already talking about visiting again this summer!

For international visitors
The staff seemed unaware of proper service. The initial guide was difficult to understand, and for a first meeting, shouldn't someone fluent in Japanese be assigned? Even though the dining area was private, the door was left open. They didn't know basic etiquette like placing rice on the left and soup on the right or which side of the dish should face forward. When clearing dishes, they stacked them carelessly—it felt like being at a low-end diner, which was disheartening. I regret spending 60,000 yen per person on this experience. Since 90% of your guests are inbound travelers, IKYU users might feel disappointed and surprised if they visit.

Friendly service with a smile! Nostalgic Onsen Temple
I believe it used to be a shared town Onsen temple. I remember enjoying a day-use bath there. It has been transformed into a luxurious Japanese-style Hotel, with 90% of the guests being from overseas. As rare Japanese guests, we were treated with great care. My husband has many food preferences, and they kindly adjusted even the miso soup ingredients and side dishes for him—our apologies for the trouble caused. The meals were plentiful and absolutely delicious. The interior had a mysterious atmosphere; I believe it was once where omikuji (fortune slips) and omamori (charms) were sold... The temple grounds have been preserved, with old trees left intact during renovations, which was impressive. They creatively used ordinary indoor blankets as decorative indirect lighting fixtures—each detail was thoughtfully designed, making our stay enjoyable. We would love to visit again!
