    It was amazing!

I stayed here on the first day of a 3-night, 4-day trip. The view from the Room was truly breathtaking, and spending time with my mother on the terrace—talking as we watched the sunset with an Orion beer in hand—has become a cherished memory. The Room was spacious and comfortable, and thanks to making a Reservation for the breakfast buffet in advance, we were able to enjoy it smoothly without waiting in line. The beautifully maintained garden was also wonderful; even a simple stroll there feels calming. A staff member kindly took photos of us on the garden swing, which became an unforgettable keepsake.

This was my second stay after visiting for the first time last year. Some of this may repeat what I said before, but… It’s a wonderful Hotel. I’ve stayed at all the Shigira Resort properties, and this one is just as good as Shigira’s three flagship Hotels. The room rates are reasonable, the interior is spotless, and the design is stylish and luxurious! The background music—featuring Begin and others—creates an amazing Okinawan atmosphere. The hospitality toward guests is outstanding. All staff were pleasant, and the housekeeping team also greeted us warmly, which made us smile too. The staff at the shop on the first floor were also friendly; they had a great selection of items and stayed open late at night, which was very helpful. It was busy at night as well. We plan to stay at Mirage in summer. And next year, we definitely want to visit Please Bay Marina again. My wife also said that from a woman’s perspective it feels luxurious and beautiful, and she was very satisfied. The breakfast buffet is delicious too.

This was my first stay. The room had been renovated and was very clean. However, the outdoor balcony floor sheet was peeling, which was disappointing.

    Breakfast is plentiful.

In December, we enjoyed a multiple night stay with a delicious breakfast offering a wide variety of options such as bread, rice, porridge, local dishes, Japanese cuisine, and Chinese cuisine. Each dish was delightful. The menu changed on the second day, so we could enjoy it without getting bored! The guest room cleaning service was excellent, allowing us to have a comfortable stay. For dinner on the second day, we visited the food court across the street that didn’t require reservations. There was also live music from 7:30 PM which added to our enjoyment of Miyako Island. The accommodation was very reasonably priced and our overall satisfaction with Breeze Bay Marina was extremely high. Although it was an off-season period in December, the weather was perfect for sightseeing. We rented a car and didn’t use the hotel’s shuttle bus service; however, it operated every 30 minutes.

    Your repeat visit ruined.

A magic show started during dinner, which was very unpleasant. The magician, who apparently has an Instagram account, performed for children and their families. However, I wanted to enjoy my meal quietly. I was disappointed by the lack of consideration from both the magician and the Hotel staff. If you want a noisy atmosphere like a zoo, this might suit you. I personally wanted to enjoy delicious food and drinks in peace, so I will not be returning here again. Naturally, I would not recommend it to friends either. Even at the breakfast buffet, there were children running around, making me regret choosing such a low-quality Hotel.

    Beautiful illuminations and tropical fish.

We traveled with a group of 8 friends and stayed for 2 nights in two ocean-view rooms, each accommodating 4 people. We enjoyed sitting on the lanai, sipping coffee, watching the sunrise, and stargazing. Both breakfast and dinner were served as buffets with a wide variety of dishes featuring local ingredients. The meals were delicious; however, the menu was the same for both days. It would have been nice if there had been some variation in the live kitchen offerings on the second day. After dinner, we enjoyed live performances at a facility in front of the hotel. The performers changed daily, and we had a great time during each 45-minute show over two days. The room's bath was spacious and comfortable. On one day, we visited Shigira Golden Onsen. The onsen included an attached pool area where we relaxed in a jacuzzi to relieve our fatigue. In the open-air bath, we could unwind while enjoying views of the ocean—an excellent experience. In addition to this, we participated in feeding sea turtles in the morning. The Christmas tree and garden illuminations were also beautiful. As a Resort Hotel experience, I would love to return here again with my children!

    The directions are unclear.

We traveled by rental car, but it was quite challenging to find the place. Missing just one turn meant no signs, and we ended up driving in circles before arriving. We had made a reservation for dinner at Shinkirou, but when we asked for directions at the front desk, they directed us to a completely wrong bus stop. Although they mentioned it was a short walk, I doubted this information and decided to check myself. After confirming with another staff member later on, I found out the initial guidance was incorrect. If I had followed their instructions without question, I would have been lost. I wanted to try Miyako beef; however, it wasn’t listed on the restaurant menu. When I called the restaurant directly, my call was redirected to general information and eventually connected to the front desk. The person on the phone said that probably only items from the menu could be ordered. When I insisted further, they admitted not being familiar with this and transferred me back to someone at the restaurant instead—something that should have been done from the start! Once connected with someone from the restaurant team again, it seemed like they hadn’t been informed of my inquiry beforehand so I had to explain everything all over again. In conclusion: Miyako beef can be ordered if you have a reservation in advance—it worked out fine in our case—but having clear information about this option available across other restaurants would be helpful. By the way—the website is also hard-to-navigate! While overall impressions of resort facilities were lovely & promising improvements here could make experiences even better moving forward! The view from Hotel’s terrace seating area during breakfast? Absolutely stunning—and food itself delicious too!

Injury caused by damaged parts at the Hotel. No proper investigation conducted and accused of lying.

The showerhead fell off when twisted, and the cleaning staff couldn't fix it. Due to the deterioration of the connection between the showerhead and hose, both were replaced. However, the explanation from the Hotel staff the next day was that no parts were broken and it was due to water pressure. I sustained a bruise from the falling showerhead despite handling it properly, yet their explanation made it seem as though I was lying. They also failed to confirm with their cleaning staff, which raised my distrust further. When I requested another confirmation, they explained that since they had already checked the replaced showerhead, nothing should have been broken—what are they doing? It’s clear there is a lack of proper handover procedures. Moreover, after causing an injury to a guest, checking only replaced items and concluding that "the guest must be mistaken" shows an alarming lack of crisis management. I am an adult and fortunately only my leg was hit by the falling showerhead; however, if this had fallen on a child’s head while in the bathtub, it could have caused much more serious injuries. The fact that it fell immediately after turning on suggests either negligence during cleaning or failure to use water for testing during cleaning—both are concerning possibilities. Even if this incident occurred due to unforeseen deterioration or coincidence, their response afterward was unacceptable. Proper handovers should be conducted along with thorough investigations involving relevant personnel like cleaning staff when doubts arise. Instead of addressing these issues responsibly or investigating thoroughly after injuring a guest, they concluded with explanations implying I was at fault—this reflects poorly on those in charge at every level within this Hotel's management system. Despite ineffective handovers and investigations failing entirely here at this Hotel group (Shigira Group), accusing me indirectly through insincere explanations has left me deeply disappointed in their approach toward customer safety concerns as well as overall accountability standards expected from such establishments—I am utterly disheartened by Shigira Group's response!

The showerhead and amenities were broken. The response was also unsatisfactory.

I planned to stay for 3 nights, but on the first day, the showerhead and hose connection in the bathroom seemed broken. When I turned on the shower, it flew off above my head. I got bruised and called the front desk. The staff who came to check confirmed that it couldn't be fixed and said it was due to wear and tear. However, there was no apology for the injury caused by the falling showerhead. In the end, they replaced the entire showerhead as they couldn't fix it. The next day, I was told by hotel staff that none of the parts were broken and suggested it might have been due to water pressure. All I did was turn it normally without any unusual handling—does this mean it's my responsibility? It seems there was no proper handover about what happened with their staff unable to fix it initially, nor did they consult with them afterward despite knowing there were no broken parts. This lack of communication has left me feeling distrustful. Additionally, although children are staying with us, pajamas or amenities were not provided for them. We had no choice but to call reception every day about this issue; even then we were told if items weren’t available tomorrow either, we should call again. How is this acceptable service? Even using an internal phone is frustrating as its top part is unstable and keeps falling off. From day one of our trip things have been terrible; subsequent responses only deepened mistrust making everything worse overall—including upsetting my child who asked whether just *this room* had issues or if we'd still need endure another night here under such conditions! Our long-awaited trip experience in Miyakojima feels completely ruined now!

You can stay with almost no issues.

The taste of the food didn't quite suit me. I think it would have been better to choose teppanyaki instead of the buffet for dinner. However, this is just my personal opinion, and it might suit others. That said, I felt the price for the dinner buffet was a bit high. Other than that, the sea was beautiful, the staff were polite, and the Hotel was clean with no issues at all. It seems like a Hotel with good cost performance. Wishing you all continued success!

    I will definitely come again!

This was our second stay at the accommodation. This time, we stayed in two rooms as a four-generation family! We were a bit worried about staying with a pregnant woman, elderly members, and children, but... At check-in, we brought along a birthday cake for one of the kids and asked to use the refrigerator. The staff kindly suggested planning a surprise and offered to discuss it with us! At the agreed time, they brought the cake and cutlery to our room and even prepared a gift from the hotel. Everyone was so delighted! It became such a wonderful memory for us. We stayed for three nights, and cleaning was done very thoroughly each day. All staff members greeted us warmly whenever we passed by them—it left such a great impression. Additionally, even after shuttle buses between hotels within Shigira ended service hours, they arranged shuttle cars at the front desk—such thoughtful service! If I had to mention something: breakfast wait times were quite long. If you have activities planned for later in the day, it's best to go early in the morning; otherwise, you'll end up waiting quite some time. Also, it would be nice if bathrooms in the main building were separate instead of unit baths. The shower water pressure could also be improved just slightly! Overall though—it was an incredibly fulfilling three-night stay! We will definitely choose this accommodation again when visiting Miyako Island next time! Thank you so much!

    Affordable Hotel

I stayed here around the same time last year and found no major issues. Compared to other Hotels, it is reasonably priced, and the service, meals, and Facility are all satisfactory. One concern might be the long line at the main breakfast area. It seemed to take more time as guests waiting for bread were in the same line. Perhaps moving the bread station to a separate area (like near the coffee section) could improve efficiency. I look forward to staying here again!

    Clean and comfortable!

I stayed in the main building. The room was cleaned daily, making my stay very comfortable. The view of the beach from the window was fantastic! Breakfast was very smooth with a QR code system for registering your turn. Although swimming at the beach was prohibited for some time due to high waves caused by a typhoon, this is understandable as it depends on the weather. It’s a hotel I would love to visit again next year!

    Beautifully renovated and highly satisfying.

It had been about 7 years since my last visit to Miyako Island and staying at this accommodation. The hotel has been completely renovated, and I thoroughly enjoyed the resort atmosphere in great comfort. The guests were mostly families and couples, which made for a calm and pleasant environment. However, the stairs to the tower building were the only disappointing aspect. Many people seemed to struggle with carrying their suitcases... I hope improvements can be made. Other than that, I was very satisfied! I plan to visit Miyako Island again this fall or next year, so I will definitely stay here again.

We chose the Hotel with a focus on activities that our 3-year-old could enjoy. Although it was our first trip and we were a bit anxious, it seems our child had a great time enjoying both the Room and the beach. The view from the Room was also wonderful, providing relaxation for adults as well. We appreciated experiences like tuk-tuk rides, lifts, and feeding turtles at Alamanda. The toy rental service was also very helpful. It would be nice to have a washing area available after using the beach or pool post-checkout. Thank you very much!

    Trip to Miyako Island

Stayed 4 nights at Hotel Breeze Bay Marina, and the staff service was excellent. The breakfast was satisfying and delicious, a perfect score of 100. The garden is well-maintained, surpassing even overseas resort hotels. I would love to stay here again next time.

    Love Miyako Island!

This was my sixth visit to Miyako Island. Last time, I stayed on the top floor of Mirage at Shigira. This time, I stayed at Bay Marina. The service was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. I revisited in August after returning home. Highly recommended Hotel!

    Highly Satisfied

This was the most satisfying hotel experience of my life. I'm so glad I chose a hotel from the Shigira group! Even though I stayed during one of the lowest points in my life, the warm and attentive service, along with the clean and well-maintained hotel, truly healed me and lifted my spirits. **About Amenities:** → During my 2-night, 3-day stay, there was no cleaning service provided in the room. However, bottled water, bath towels, face towels, and foot mats were replaced daily. I personally liked that separate pajamas were provided! The area is filled with hotels from the Shigira group. I also booked diving activities, onsen facilities, restaurants, and a rental car through their services. If you choose to stay within the Shigira group properties, they can flexibly provide tuk-tuks or delivery vehicles when needed—this was very helpful! *Note: During peak seasons it might be harder to arrange these services; booking at the counter in advance is recommended.* Combined with all that Miyako Island has to offer... I strongly feel like booking this hotel again for another visit to Miyako Island! Thank you all so much!

A facility where both guests and employees might feel confused due to poor management!?

    ○ Reason for Accommodation: Availability of shuttle service to the airport and designation as a departure/arrival hotel for regular sightseeing buses. ○ Positive Points: - The beauty of the sea and beach view from the room, along with the soothing sound of waves. - Spacious room with a large locker, making it comfortable to stay. - Enjoyed beautiful views from the observatory and lift rides using round-trip lift tickets available in another area. ○ Points of Concern: - Almost everything requires prior reservation, but poor internet connectivity made it difficult to proceed. Additionally, every time you reserve breakfast or dinner, you are required to approve privacy policies repeatedly, causing significant time loss. Moreover, there are pop-up windows prompting unnecessary membership registration that need attention while reserving. - The reservation site is poorly designed; searching for dinner reservations is inconvenient and often results in unavailability. As an alternative, I had to visit a "no-reservation-required food stall village" across the road in heavy rain with an umbrella. There was a 15-minute queue just to order food and nearly 50 minutes wait until it was served (likely intended as an opportunity for shopping at adjacent stores). - During breakfast as a solo diner, I was assigned a counter seat where used dishes were being cleared on the opposite side. As feared, when I temporarily left my seat during my meal and returned later, leftover food from other guests had been placed on my tray still in use—a frustrating experience. - Although prior notice is given to reservers about this issue: due to current building regulations not permitting such designs anymore—there remains an operational staircase with about ten steps midway through indoor corridors. This forces parents carrying strollers or staff lifting large suitcases overhead up these stairs—a pitiful sight that raises concerns about labor law compliance. - Responses from front desk inquiries often differed significantly from reality; their service level seemed inadequate. However local rumors suggest this stems from poor employment practices by management—making one sympathize with staff working under challenging conditions. ○ Advice for Future Guests: - Depending on your travel period, it's recommended that you make advance reservations for dinner venues at your preferred times before your stay. - Even during multiple night stays (Multiple Night Stay), amenities other than pajamas/towel replacements and water refills will not be replenished automatically.

Personally, it was the most disappointing Hotel I have ever stayed at.

We stayed with our family of four, including a baby and a 4-year-old. Upon arrival at the hotel, we stopped the car in front of the lobby, and a staff member offered to carry our luggage. However, there was no cart prepared, so we ended up carrying most of it ourselves. The luggage they did carry was placed on a sofa in the lobby, and I was told to proceed with check-in. Since my husband went to park the car, I had to manage two children by myself and leave the luggage unattended while standing in line for check-in. While waiting in line, I was asked to fill out personal information such as my address while standing up—it was quite challenging with a stroller as well. Although efficiency might be prioritized here, I wish they could have been more flexible based on our situation. Additionally, there were 15 steps from the lobby to our room which made moving around with a stroller extremely difficult every time. While this issue was mentioned in reviews upon closer inspection later on, it would have been helpful if this information had been clearly stated on their website (I wouldn’t have made the reservation if I had known). During check-in, we were asked whether we wanted cleaning services and requested them; however, no cleaning was done during our stay—only towels were hung on the doorknob. When we returned early around 3 PM and informed reception that cleaning hadn’t been done yet but needed attention urgently—they kept us waiting before transferring us over phone calls where someone who seemed foreign said something unclear about "system limitations" without offering any apology. Unfortunately what could’ve been an enjoyable trip left us disappointed due largely due negative experiences at this hotel which overshadowed everything else memorable from traveling together!

    Wonderful!

The hotel's garden overlooks the Miyako Blue sea, and across the street, there are souvenir shops and a food court. Since it was my first time in Miyako Island, I ambitiously planned to explore by reserving a rental car, but the Shigira shuttle bus and rental bicycles were very convenient. The restaurant has terrace seating, and dining while listening to the sound of waves was incredibly delightful.

The breakfast venue was extremely crowded on the first day.

The Room was perfect for enjoying a resort atmosphere. The only dissatisfaction was the breakfast on the first day of our stay. It was a cold morning, and no one wanted to sit on the terrace, plus the front space was reserved for groups, resulting in a lack of seating. Additionally, there were long lines at the buffet, with many items running out, making it feel like eating poor-quality food in a cramped space. On the other hand, on the second day, perhaps due to fewer guests, we could enjoy local ingredients in a spacious area and were satisfied. Shouldn't there be some control over meal start times?

    Stayed for 5 nights ...

Stayed for 5 nights with my beloved dog. The dog-friendly room allowed direct access to the lawn from the terrace, making it comfortable for both us and our dog. We enjoyed morning and evening walks in the well-maintained garden and along the coastal promenade beyond. We also indulged in Miyako Blue by spotting tropical fish and sea turtles. Every night, we visited the live venue across from the Hotel, enjoying Okinawan folk songs, making it a very fulfilling five days. The resort as a whole offers a variety of restaurants, which we explored every night. Except for the yakiniku restaurant, others left an impression of not being very cost-effective.

    I had a comfortable stay.

The bathtub in the Room was wider than those in business hotels, allowing for a relaxing soak for one person at a time. The meals featured seasonal and local ingredients, which were enjoyable. The evening course dinner was delicious and worth the price. However, the breakfast buffet had alternating menus, so during a 4-night Multiple Night Stay, it became repetitive. Although it was slightly chilly in winter, the jacuzzi was pleasant, and the children loved it. The fireworks at Shigira Beach during the New Year's countdown were visible from the Room, which was a delightful surprise. The New Year's Day drum event held in the courtyard could also be enjoyed leisurely from the balcony. The coin laundry in the Tower building was a bit old, and the drying process was slow. The New Year's decorations at the entrance were beautiful and made for great photos. The Lovot robot was popular with people of all ages and was adorable.

The sea was right in front of us.

I stayed for two nights in the Tower Wing. This Hotel is large in scale, and it takes a bit of a walk from the front desk to reach the Room in the Tower Wing, using about 15 steps of stairs. I wanted to use the main building, but it was not available, so I had no choice. I have a slight leg problem, so the frequent movement was tough. From the Room's balcony, you can see the beautiful sea right in front of you, and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet at a leisurely pace. The bathroom and toilet were well cleaned, but the bed-making felt a bit sloppy. Overall, I think it was a good Hotel.

    Family-friendly Hotel

I use it every time I go to Miyakojima. This time, perhaps because it was a holiday, check-in took a long time and I was exhausted. I didn't receive any lift tickets for the Hotel service, so I had to pay to ride. I hope for proper service next time. Last time, there was a welcome service, possibly because I was a repeat customer, but this time there was none. The cleaning staff, many of whom were foreigners, greeted me with a proper smile, which was pleasant! The restaurant offers delicious Italian cuisine and a newly opened soba shop, both of which I highly recommend.

    Hotel with a Good View

The interior was beautiful and clean, making it a hotel where you can stay with peace of mind. However, it was disappointing that there were no outlets at each bed. The view was great, and it was nice to see the sea from each room. It was also convenient that there was a souvenir shop on the first floor and that you could spend time at the food stall village in front of the hotel from the evening without having to make a reservation at a restaurant. I would like to stay at this hotel again.
