    A convenient Hotel directly connected to the station.

    I used the Tobu Tojo Line, so it was about a 5-minute walk from Kawagoe-shi Station, but I think this Hotel is even more convenient for those using the Seibu Shinjuku Line. My Room was on a lower floor with a parking-lot view, and the aging showed—some wallpaper was peeling and it really stood out, which was disappointing. This wasn’t the Hotel’s fault, but there was a large group of foreign guests in the lobby and I had a bad feeling; as expected, loud footsteps from upstairs echoed through my Room and it stayed noisy until late at night. I’m not sure if it was my phone or if the Hotel Wi-Fi signal was weak, but I couldn’t connect easily and it made me anxious. The interior did feel dated, but the Room was spacious and clean, so overall I was satisfied. When I went out, I asked a male staff member nearby who was arranging chairs for restaurant recommendations; he burst out laughing loudly, which really put me off. However, the three front desk staff at check-out were very polite. When I left my luggage with them, they asked what time I planned to return and kindly said, “It’s hot outside—please don’t push yourself coming back,” which truly touched me. When I came back to pick up my luggage as well, they saw me off with pleasant greetings, and in the end I was able to head home feeling good. Thank you.

    Hospitality

    We truly felt the Hotel’s warm hospitality. Your greetings and temporary luggage storage were very helpful. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and everything was delicious. With the Hotel’s Kawagoe map, we were able to explore Koedo smoothly. It became a fun and memorable trip, and we felt the accommodation cost with breakfast included was a great value. Thank you very much.

    Service Level

    At check-out, I was carrying a heavy package to be shipped while wearing a kimono, but the staff made eye contact and still did not come over to help or carry it. They seemed completely unaware and far too slow to respond, so I left feeling disappointed. Given that Prince Hotel is known as a prestigious Hotel, my expectations were let down.

    For a special occasion

    My spouse and I decided at short notice to stay one night in Kawagoe. The Room isn’t new, but it was well cleaned and had a calm atmosphere unlike a Business Hotel. Since it was Golden Week, we chose to have dinner at the Hotel. We enjoyed a relaxed Japanese kaiseki meal and then spent some time having cocktails at the bar. It was also nice that both offered courses for guests staying at the Accommodation. The front desk team and all staff who served us were truly top-notch. We were able to spend a wonderful anniversary without having to travel far for an Onsen or the countryside.

    Ideal for sightseeing in Kawagoe

    I stayed here again because I had a great experience last time. The parking fee of 500 yen for 24 hours is very convenient. The Room was quiet, and since it was on the 8th floor, the view was also nice. Both the Room and bathroom were spacious enough, but perhaps because the heating and cooling are not individually controlled, it was hard to adjust even with the window open, which was a bit inconvenient. Breakfast felt like it had a limited selection. There was a line for the signature omelet station. It seemed they were replenishing food and drinks while monitoring demand, so items were sometimes unavailable, which felt a bit slow.

    Standard Room

    In early April, it was still chilly, but the air conditioning was set to cooling and I couldn’t adjust the room temperature (only on/off), so I was uncomfortably cold. The breakfast buffet was fine with no particular complaints. Overall, it didn’t quite feel up to Prince standards.

    I’m satisfied with the hospitality.

    We felt the staff’s courteous service and thoughtful attention throughout our stay. It was our last family breakfast before our child leaves home for a new job, and while we were taking photos of each other, a staff member kindly asked, “Would you like me to take a photo?” which made us very happy. We hesitated to ask during the buffet, so we truly appreciated the offer—it was wonderful to be able to take one last photo together. At checkout, after an earthquake occurred shortly beforehand, they also checked on us with “That was surprising—are you okay?” We will gladly stay again.

    An overnight trip to Kawagoe for my father’s birthday

    To celebrate my father’s 90th birthday, I wanted to gift him a one-night trip to Kawagoe, so I made a Reservation at the Prince Hotel. This was our second stay, and we were glad my parents were satisfied with the service, the staff’s hospitality, the breakfast buffet, and how clean the Room was. It was also very convenient as a base for sightseeing during the season when Chuin Temple’s weeping cherry blossoms are beautiful. At night, our family of four was looking forward to enjoying some great drinks at Bar Windsor inside the Hotel, but it was full and we couldn’t get in, which was disappointing. Next time, I’d like to make a Reservation in advance.

    A unique Hotel with a beautiful entrance and traditional Japanese-style rooms.

    Unusually for a hotel directly connected to the station, the Japanese-style room was appreciated. The entrance area is very charming. The breakfast buffet felt slightly lacking in value for money. It was delightful to receive local tea as a gift for answering the guest survey.

    I had a relaxing and peaceful stay.

    On the first day of the Kawagoe Festival, the area around the hotel was very crowded, but the hotel itself was quiet and provided a relaxing stay. Despite traffic restrictions due to the festival, we were kindly guided to the hotel's parking lot.

    Thank you very much.

    This is my third stay, and every time the staff are kind and the atmosphere is great. The breakfast is delicious, and I really enjoy it. I will definitely stay here again next time.

    Smell

    The hallway on the 4th floor where I stayed had a smell similar to grilled fish. The room had peeling wallpaper at the seams, and while the bed sheets were likely washed, they were so stained that I initially thought it was part of the design. Considering the accommodation cost, this might be expected, but it was disappointing given that it carries the "Prince" name.

    A convenient Hotel directly connected to the station

    Directly connected to the station, making access convenient. Although it was used by two people, it was not cramped, and the spacious area made it comfortable to stay. However, there was a hair in the bathtub, which is a downside, but the room cleaning was thorough and satisfactory.

    Excellent location

    The location is excellent as it is inside the station. The price might be relatively high. The three-point unit bath is manageable for one person, but if there are two people, you can't use the sink while the toilet is in use... I hope the era of the three-point unit bath will end soon. The breakfast venue was not crowded, which was helpful for a Sunday.

    It is a genuine Hotel.

    I stayed for sightseeing in Kawagoe. I had drinks at the bar and enjoyed Chinese cuisine. It was very delicious. I would like to visit this hotel again if I have the chance.

    Thank you for holding my luggage.

    They kindly stored our luggage after checkout, allowing us to enjoy sightseeing the next day hands-free. Since it was directly connected to the station, we could check in without worrying about the typhoon. It was convenient above all. After having fun in Yokohama and being exhausted, we checked in around 9 PM, and being above the station was convenient. It was easy as there was only one transfer from Yokohama to Tokorozawa. Thank you for your hospitality.
