    We had a very comfortable stay.

    We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. What we liked We were able to complete the check-in process as soon as we arrived. We could use the pool both before check-in and after check-out. The pool changing room was fully air-conditioned. The meals were delicious and very carefully prepared. What was disappointing We would have appreciated having hand towels provided. There were only bath towels available, so it was difficult to dry our hands after washing.

    A Hotel with a Full Resort Feel

    Although it’s an older Hotel and some Facilities feel dated, everything was very clean, and the staff were kind and courteous—overall it was great. Dinner was Italian at the Hotel restaurant and it was delicious. Breakfast was also excellent—the Arita mandarin orange juice and tuna were amazing! Just one issue: perhaps because the Facility is old, the Room air conditioning is centrally controlled, so we could hardly adjust it, and it was extremely cold. We could change the fan strength in the Room (low/high), and since it was so cold I asked the front desk if we could adjust the settings in the Room. They said there is a way to change the temperature slightly. I checked where they indicated and found an old-style temperature control, turned it up to 28°C, but it didn’t make any difference… Even under the duvet at night, I was shivering from how cold it was. We stayed with two children, but of course they wouldn’t keep their duvets on properly, and now they have runny noses… If we had stayed in a renovated Room, would we have been able to control the air conditioning ourselves? It may be unavoidable, but this is the one thing I’d like improved. Next time we stay here, we’ll bring warmer clothes.

    The front desk staff...

    The front desk staff’s service—the first impression of the Hotel—was disappointing. After finishing the explanations and telling me the checkout time, they pulled out a crumpled piece of paper from their pocket with “XX o’clock” handwritten on it. There was no smile from the start, so my first impression wasn’t good, and this lowered my mood even more. The Onsen nearby, the dining, the Room, and the shop staff were all excellent, which makes this truly disappointing.

    Satisfied.

    We stayed with the Birthday Plan. The check-in explanation was clear and made us feel at ease. The Room is a bit dated, but it was clean, and the view from the balcony was wonderful. We dined at the Italian restaurant. The bistro-like atmosphere, the staff’s attentiveness, and the food were all excellent, and we had a great time. We were also very happy with the Birthday Plan services. Next time, we would like to stay in a renovated Room.

    It was a wonderful stay.

    We stayed for one night as a family under the delightful setting of Santa sending an invitation to our child, who loves Onsen and seafood. The new room was excellent with great views from the terrace, a private bath, and stylish amenities including a high-quality coffee machine. We enjoyed the Kuroshio Onsen three times and indulged in the tuna bowl at the breakfast buffet. It was such an enjoyable hotel stay that everyone was completely satisfied. Even after check-out, we were able to use the parking lot while exploring Marina City. The staff's thoughtful hospitality was outstanding, and we would love to stay here again! Thank you very much!

    Enjoy a leisurely breakfast.

    I visited a nearby bathhouse and enjoyed the relaxing hot water. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, and since it was a weekday, there were fewer people, allowing me to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace. I would love to visit again.

    A Small Resort Hotel Close to Osaka

    Wakayama Marina City was a bit disappointing, but we were very satisfied with the Marina City Hotel. We stayed in a nice twin Room on the top floor with dinner (Italian) and breakfast (buffet) included, and the meals were excellent. The breakfast buffet, in particular, had a great variety and taste that exceeded expectations. However, the restaurant venue was quite small for the Hotel's capacity and was very crowded. The Room was exceptionally clean, likely due to recent renovations, and offered great views of the sea and yachts. Overall, it provided good value for money and felt like a wonderful tropical getaway close to home.

    It was a wonderful Hotel!

    The Room was very clean, and the bathroom was spotless. With an ocean view and a balcony, we could enjoy a great view of the fireworks held at Porto Europa. It was wonderful to relax and watch fireworks after such a long time. The breakfast buffet included tuna, allowing us to enjoy hand-rolled sushi and tuna bowls. There were also many varieties of pickled plums, showcasing local specialties in the buffet, which was excellent.

    A favorite Hotel I regularly visit. Close to the sea with stunning views. The Hotel's restaurant offers both Japanese and Italian cuisine, both of which are delicious. I especially love the freshly baked bread at the Italian restaurant! Additionally, while not within the facility, guests can enjoy Kuroshio Onsen for free until check-out day, which is a delightful bonus. This time, even though I didn’t mention my birthday in advance, there was a message and sweets in my Room. At the restaurant, they surprised me with a cake ceremony—thank you so much for your thoughtful gestures! I truly appreciate it and look forward to visiting again.

    Unfortunately.

    This was my second visit to Marina City Hotel. When I returned to my Room after breakfast on the second day, there were 5 or 6 construction workers in the hallway, protective tape was placed near the elevator, and they had started peeling off the wallpaper from the hallway walls. I was shocked. I've stayed at many Hotels before, but this has never happened to me. I left feeling very upset. I wish they would at least wait until guests have checked out before starting such work. I mentioned this to the front desk staff, but all I received was an apology. It was very disappointing.

    Highly satisfied

    This is my third stay this year. This time, my room was upgraded, and I was thrilled to stay on a high floor as I had hoped. The beautiful room allowed me to relax and forget about daily life. Both dinner and breakfast, which I had been looking forward to, were absolutely satisfying in terms of both content and quantity. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance.     I had a relaxing time.

    I had a relaxing and leisurely time. I would love to stay here again. If I may point out, the bathroom felt cold due to the draft from the window. Also, while the guest room was fine, there was a noticeable smell in the hallway, possibly from paint or wallpaper adhesive. Thank you very much.

    I was able to relax and refresh comfortably.

    I had a wonderful stay before, so I stayed again with my daughter during my birthday month. I was delighted by the thoughtful gestures in the room and during dinner. Thank you very much. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. (However, I was a bit confused as the volume of the actual meal differed from the dinner photo on the IKYU site at the time of reservation (laugh). If there are different ranks for the Japanese kaiseki, it would be helpful if that could be indicated in the title, etc.) This time as well, I was able to relax and refresh, and I am very satisfied. The renovated high floors are also attractive, so I would love to stay again if I have the chance. Thank you very much.

    The parking lot is far away.

    During the cold season, the parking lot is far away and it’s very cold. The Onsen was also far, so we didn’t go.

    Enjoy the resort atmosphere to the fullest!! The view from the terrace is superb!!

    The view from the terrace was truly beautiful and had an overseas feel. The resort atmosphere was wonderful. You could see the ocean from the bath, along with palm trees and the sunset, which was amazing. We also enjoyed tea on the terrace. The Italian dinner, including the bread, was delicious. However, while the tuna at breakfast was tasty, the Japanese breakfast was just okay. Overall, it was a very good experience. The staff greeted us in the morning, including the cleaning staff, perhaps the room attendants. Thank you very much. I would definitely like to use it again.

    Marina City Hotel

    When I mentioned that I was using the service for a birthday, a congratulatory message and sweets were prepared in the Room. The dinner at the restaurant was really delicious, and even my husband, who doesn't like Italian food, was impressed when we came last time, so we used it again this time, and it was as expected with congratulatory flowers and a message on the dessert. I was happy. I would like to use it again. If I may say just one thing, I would be happy if the coffee was a single-serving drip type instead of instant. Thank you very much.

    Visit My Parents' Home

    I was able to relax and unwind. I always enjoy soaking in the Kuroshio Onsen. The room was spacious, allowing for a leisurely stay. It was conveniently located as a midpoint for visiting the grave and the family altar at my parents' home.
