The service is not very good.

The view is great. I was not satisfied with the food. In particular, the dinner buffet costs 5,500 yen. It looked delicious in the photos, but after trying it, it was just average. The photo service was good, but when we were leaving they forgot to hand it to us at the counter, so we had to go back and pick it up. We stayed for our child’s birthday. I mentioned it when making the Reservation, but there was no acknowledgment. The view was nice, but the Hotel is on top of a mountain. The road up to the Hotel is uphill. There is nothing around nearby. If you need to buy anything, please shop before going up.

    It was amazing!!

I stayed here while visiting my hometown. When I lived in Sasebo City, I only knew of it, so when I came back home I usually stayed near the station, but this time I had more time and decided to stay here. The view was amazing—it really moved me to think that I grew up in such a wonderful place. I’ll definitely stay again when I’m back home!! The service was great, and the room was clean and satisfying.

    The view was amazing.

There is a lounge behind the front desk, and the view from there was wonderful. They offered mango juice as a welcome drink, which made my grandchild very happy. Since it was during the summer vacation period, there were many children, and it was disappointing that the pool felt like it was for kids only. We changed into swimwear, but we didn’t go into the pool and left. The large public bath was satisfying. The view from the large public bath is blocked by tall trees right in front of it, so you can’t see the ocean. If possible, I would like you to trim or cut back the trees. The Room was also clean and well maintained. The food was delicious, and my grandchild said, “It was so much fun!”

    This is,

This Hotel is located in a scenic area on Mt. Yumihari, overlooking the Kujukushima Islands. Both dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style, with a wide selection of local specialties—so delicious you’ll leave completely full. The night views are so beautiful you might wonder if you’re really in Japan!

    The view was amazing.

The views were wonderful both during the day and at night. However, the check-in guidance was a bit insufficient, so I had to ask again about a few points. The Room was clean, but the air purifier filter provided was clogged.

    90 points

The location, Facility, Room, Onsen, and breakfast were all of higher quality than expected. I changed my plan to go out early and explore the city until catching the midday bus, and instead enjoyed my stay so much that I relaxed by the poolside and unwound in my Room right up until check-out time. It would be even better if the front desk could consistently respond from the guest’s perspective.

    Spectacular views!

Stayed in a Night View Twin Room (non-smoking). It was great to enjoy not only the night view but also a daytime panorama of Sasebo from the hilltop. As it’s quite far from town, it’s very quiet. There is a large public bath and a pool (seasonal), so you can enjoy your stay. I didn’t use the large public bath, but my companion went in both the evening and early morning. The water apparently had that silky, slightly thick feel like Takeo or Ureshino Onsen—so much so that it felt as if they hadn’t rinsed off properly—and they were impressed. You need to bring the bath towels from your Room. The in-room bathroom is very standard, so if you prefer a proper soak, I recommend using the large public bath. The nightwear is a one-piece style. Since I checked in advance, I brought my own two-piece pajamas. Because an upper sheet was used, I honestly felt a bit uneasy wondering whether the duvet cover is washed every time. I also don’t like how upper sheets tend to slip out of place. In any case, this Hotel has truly wonderful views. There’s an observation deck nearby (Yumihari-no-Oka?), but the view from this Hotel was more than enough for us. Even if you’re not staying in a room with views of Kujukushima or the night scenery, you can still enjoy stunning vistas from the balcony area near reception and from the lounge next door. If you only need your Room for sleeping, choosing one of the lower-floor rooms could be perfectly fine too. For dinner we chose Japanese kaiseki cuisine. The dashi flavors were excellent, and although our server was a young woman, her service was attentive and professional. The dining venue (Japanese cuisine is on the 4th floor) also had spectacular views (both of us were seated facing the windows), making it a lovely dinner time. Breakfast is buffet only; since we don’t really like buffets, we would have appreciated having a set Japanese breakfast option as well. To be honest, breakfast didn’t feel particularly special. That said, this time we stayed at an unbelievably reasonable price—so much so that it would feel wrong to complain about anything at all. It’s a bit far for us to drive from home, but for those views, delicious Japanese kaiseki dinner, and Onsen-style large public bath experience, this is definitely a Hotel we would return to. Thank you very much. (Overall rating reflects value considering the Accommodation Fee.)

Overall, it is a good Hotel.

Although it’s close to my parents’ home, I had been wanting to stay here and really appreciated the opportunity this time. The weather wasn’t great, but the view was wonderful and the open, spacious feel helped me relax. One issue: I bought an ice cream cup and put it in the freezer, but it seemed to be broken because it had melted completely. We also had a set meal reserved for us. The portion size was just right and everything was delicious. The bath was very clean as well. I’d love to stay again.

    It was okay.

The young staff member who came to the parking lot to help with our luggage was very pleasant and professional, but the front desk service was disappointing. The Hotel overall was clean, but the Room was smaller than expected and the view was limited. I would have liked at least complimentary morning coffee.

    Amazing view

I stayed here for a short break during my trip. I only knew Sasebo by name, but the view from the Room was amazing. The observation deck is also nearby, and I could take in almost a 280-degree panoramic view all around. Next time, I’d like to research Sasebo properly and visit again. I didn’t know that “ago-dashi” refers to flying fish. I ended up buying an “Ago” T-shirt.

A Hotel with Absolutely Stunning Views

I reserved a room with a night view. Although the weather was unfortunately cloudy (the scenery was still beautiful even in the clouds, we just couldn't see the sunset and sunrise), I was able to enjoy a very beautiful view thanks to choosing a room with a night view! For meals, I enjoyed various dishes at Il Mare for both dinner and breakfast. It was a very high-level buffet, but it would have been perfect if the salad bar available at breakfast had also been offered at dinner! Breakfast had a wide variety of options and was very delicious. The onsen included a sauna and small cold bath, with an excellent view.

    Amazing view!

The best view among all the accommodations I've stayed at. This is what you call a breathtaking view. You could see Sasebo's town, sea, and islands. The sunrise seen from the bath was also beautiful. The only slight disappointment was that it wasn't an open-air bath, so the view was through glass, but it was still amazing. The Japanese-style breakfast had a wide variety of dishes and was enjoyable. The restaurant also offered great views.

    Excellent!

The staff's service and the facility were filled with hospitality and were excellent. Everything seemed to be operated with the guests in mind. Above all, I have never seen such a view before. Although it is a bit far from the city center, there is a shuttle service available, so it’s not a drawback.

    I want to visit again!

Even with some challenging requests, the staff responded flexibly. All the staff provided very pleasant service, creating wonderful memories for us. There was a free shuttle service from the nearest Sasebo Station, which was very convenient. The scenery during both day and night was stunning. We enjoyed a relaxing dinner while admiring the night view, which was delightful. However, breakfast at 8:30 was fully booked, and we had to wait about 30 minutes due to limited time availability—this was the only disappointment. Overall, highly recommended!

    Meals

The Japanese Kaiseki meal was delicious, but the rice portion was small, and I was surprised to be charged 100 yen for a refill. It would have been better if the rice portion was slightly larger. Additionally, both dinner and breakfast were cleared away too quickly, which felt unpleasant. Clearing the table right after taking the last bite felt rude and made us feel rushed. The Room was clean, and the pool was more spacious than it appeared in photos—very enjoyable!

    Stunning View

I stayed with my son's family during Obon. The breathtaking view as soon as we arrived at the Hotel was amazing! The pool was small, but the grandchildren were thrilled. The buffet was in an Italian restaurant, but it offered not only Italian dishes but also Japanese cuisine, all of which were delicious. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service during the summer festival event, making the grandchildren happy. The Room was clean, and we were very satisfied with our stay at this Hotel. However, it was a bit disappointing that there was no open-air bath. We would love to visit again in summer. Thank you for your hospitality!

    The weather is...

We stayed as a family during the three-day weekend in August. The kids were looking forward to the pool, but unfortunately, due to heavy rain, they couldn't use it at all... I was excited about the view from the Hotel, but it was completely white and nothing could be seen... It was very disappointing. The Hotel itself was nice with an Onsen, though... But you can't control the weather, so it can't be helped. We'll try again another time!

    A Hotel with a stunn...

A Hotel with a stunning view overlooking Sasebo city and the Kujukushima Islands. Dinner was a Japanese course meal, all dishes were very delicious, and the service staff were attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable. The breakfast buffet, which included local specialties, was also excellent. Overall, it was a Hotel where you could feel the hospitality of all the staff. This time we stayed in an ocean-view Room which was beautiful as well, but next time I would like to enjoy the night view from a city-view Room.

    It was our honeymoon.

This was my first time staying at a Ryokan, and it had an amazing view and was truly a wonderful experience. Although the Onsen was only available in the large public bath, the meals were very satisfying. My wife also said it was such a great Ryokan that she would love to visit again.

    It was a family trip...

It was a family trip with my mother celebrating her 88th birthday. The room was clean and comfortable, as it had been recently renovated. The shuttle service to and from Sasebo Station, available once an hour, was very convenient. While we did not have dinner, the breakfast overlooking the ocean was very luxurious.

    A flawless Hotel.

The front desk, view, scenery, restaurant, bath, and room were all excellent. The night view was possibly even more beautiful than the world-famous nightscape of Nagasaki. The meals offered a variety of choices, and everything was delicious. It’s truly regrettable that I could only stay for one night. This is a Hotel I would love to book for a Multiple Night Stay.

    The upper floors off...

The upper floors offer great views. However, on the 3rd floor, some rooms may have obstructed views due to trees, especially in summer. The view from the 5th-floor lounge is truly spectacular. Despite only having breakfast-inclusive plans available, there was no noticeable crowd at the venue, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. Once you arrive at the hotel, reaching nearby convenience stores involves going downhill, so it’s recommended to plan ahead for any items you might need if using the shuttle service. The room and hallway were cleaner compared to a previous stay; however, some facilities in the large public bath area, such as lockers, were damaged.

The atmosphere is excellent, and there is also a shuttle service.

The amenities in the room were not abundant, but the amenities in the large public bath were plentiful, and there was also a sauna, which was very satisfying. Moreover, the scenery is simply stunning, making it a hotel where just enjoying a cup of coffee can lift your spirits. While it is true that the location is not near the station, there is a shuttle service available, and you can reach it quickly by bus, so I didn't find it inconvenient at all. It’s definitely one of the hotels I’d love to visit again.

    The morning view was great.

I stayed here once 25 years ago and had a good memory, so I stayed again. First, the bar is listed as open on the hotel's site, but it does not offer food and drinks. I think it would be better not to list it as open on the homepage. The lack of explanation at the front desk is also concerning. The only good things were the sunrise and the view. The breakfast was ordinary. There are newly renovated rooms, and it's a well-located hotel, so it's very disappointing.

    Sasebo Trip

The Hotel provided truly kind, attentive, and exceptional service! With the breathtaking night views of Sasebo and the stunning scenery of Kujukushima, along with an array of exquisite dishes that delighted our taste buds, choosing this Hotel was absolutely the right decision. It made me fall in love with Nagasaki even more!

The night view and sunrise were beautiful!

The room was renovated with a view of the night scenery, and it was so beautiful that I could gaze at it forever. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day, but in the morning, I was moved by the two-layered sunrise show through the clouds. I believe this hotel can continue to capitalize on its location and sell the scenery. Also, the breakfast buffet in the morning was full of local ingredients. It was so varied that you could eat a bit of everything without going anywhere else, and the seasoning was gentle and delicious. As for the bath, the women's bath did not have a view of the night scenery. Perhaps it's for safety reasons. However, I was able to relieve my fatigue in the Onsen bath. Regarding the staff, there was a prompt response to my inquiries beforehand, and they were very polite, allowing me to visit with peace of mind. There was also a commemorative photo service, and I am grateful for their attention to retake the photos several times to ensure a good picture. There is a free round-trip bus service to and from Sasebo City. It's great for returning after drinking, and considering the cost of a taxi, it's an incredibly helpful service. While a private car is also an option, there are hairpin curves on the mountain road, so I recommend using the shuttle service to enjoy your time after arriving at the hotel. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to those traveling to Sasebo.
