    The service was excellent and very pleasant!

    Upon arrival, the doorman placed our suitcases on a cart and delivered them directly to our Room. Since we arrived just in time for our dinner Reservation, we asked for a taxi and it was arranged immediately. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. Thank you for your hospitality!

    We had a great view of Sakurajima.

    About a 10-minute drive from Kagoshima-Chuo Station. The Shuttle Service between Tenmonkan, Kagoshima-Chuo Station, and the Hotel is very convenient. Perhaps because it was during the Obon holiday period, a regular route bus was operating as the Shuttle Service, which was great because I could keep my suitcase with me. The Room is a bit dated, but it was very clean, and the bed was comfortable and well maintained. There is a shopping center right next door, so you can easily pick up clothes and daily items. There is also a coin laundry in the Hotel for 300 yen, which was convenient. Best of all was relaxing in the Onsen on the top floor while enjoying a close view of Sakurajima. I’d love to stay again.

    Wonderful Memories

    Thank you for hosting us for two nights during our summer vacation. It was a wonderful Room with a great view of Sakurajima right in front of us. All the staff were courteous and professional, and we had a very pleasant stay. We would love to stay with you again next time. Thank you very much.

    Everything was excellent!!

    I stayed for a Multiple Night Stay on Friday and Saturday. On Friday I chose an affordable single Room, and on Saturday I stayed in a spacious Room on the 11th floor. (They helped me move Rooms right away on Saturday morning.) Since I used the large public bath both days, I didn’t mind that the unit bath/toilet was small, but if the price difference is only slight, I definitely recommend the larger Room on a higher floor. The bed is bigger, and it feels great to enjoy morning coffee while looking out at Sakurajima and Kinko Bay. Above all, the hospitality of all the staff was outstanding: even when I arrived late at night, they came out to greet me at my taxi; they were always efficient and smiling; breakfast was packed with Kagoshima specialties and very satisfying; from the mist sauna in the panoramic bath you can also see Sakurajima; and over two days I enjoyed the Onsen four times in total (haha)!! Their original coffee was delicious too—I bought some as a souvenir. I’ve stayed in Kagoshima several times, but even though this hotel is away from downtown, it’s by far the best choice considering value for money. Please let me stay again when I’m in Kagoshima on business. My sincere thanks to all of your staff.

    We were very satisfied.

    I was a bit worried about traveling with my elderly father and my elementary school-aged son, but thank you for your warm hospitality. They were truly moved by the stunning views of Sakurajima from the guest room and from the large public bath.

    Dinner in Phoenix

    I had always visited Phoenix during the daytime for lunch or family gatherings. When I finally came for dinner, everything was excellent—not only the flavors but also the menu itself—and our waiter was professional and attentive throughout, so I was very satisfied.

    I had a very relaxing time.

    All rooms in the Hotel face Sakurajima, offering excellent views. Meals For a 2-night, 3-day stay with dinner included, the dinner menu was initially the same for both nights. However, the Hotel front desk staff kindly suggested an alternative menu. Breakfast was served buffet-style with a wide variety of delicious options. Staff The staff greeted us warmly every time we passed by them, creating a pleasant atmosphere. Room The amenities were well-stocked and everything was clean and organized. However, I noticed some dust on top of the black air purifier which caught my attention slightly. Overall though, it was satisfactory. Facility The rooftop bath also offered views of Sakurajima through its windows and was well-maintained and tidy. However, since pajamas and towels need to be brought from your room to use this facility, it would be even better if these items were prepared at the rooftop bath or if each room provided tote bags to carry them conveniently. Overall Experience It is an excellent Hotel overall! I will definitely stay here again next time!

    Large Business Hotel

    I had previously used the accommodation for weddings and meals, but this was my first time staying overnight. Staying during the middle of a three-day weekend, I expected it to be crowded. However, the large public bath was extremely busy. A group of elementary school children came in noisily, making it quite chaotic. The shoe locker where I placed my slippers ended up with children's shoes inside—where did my slippers go? The room felt quite ordinary. There was no water provided in the room; having some water would have been nice. Feeling a bit disappointed, I went on to have dinner—and it was absolutely delicious and impressive! It’s something you could never replicate at home—truly professional quality. The amazing taste completely erased all previous dissatisfaction. I heard they are relocating soon, but before that happens, I’d love to return for another meal!

    Meet Sakurajima

    Arriving at night, I couldn't see the view, but in the morning, Sakurajima was gazing back at me. The scenery is breathtaking! The breakfast offers a wide variety of delicious dishes, making it hard not to overeat.

    Although it is away from the downtown area, the view was outstanding.

    It is located away from the downtown area. I chose this accommodation thinking I could use the shuttle bus. On the first day, I was able to use it smoothly, but on the second day, I missed it. After the 5:30 PM bus, the next one was at 6:50 PM, so I gave up going out to town. It would be more convenient if there were one more bus in between during the evening. The breakfast buffet included fruits and local dishes, which made me satisfied even with a multiple night stay. The view of Sakurajima directly from my window was wonderful. On the second day, I ended up having dinner at the hotel; however, compared to breakfast, it felt quite ordinary.

    What makes a truly great Hotel?

    Due to work, I stay at various hotels every week. Whether a hotel is truly good or not can be judged by how they handle situations when guest requests conflict with hotel policies and the sincerity felt in their response. In that sense, this was not a truly good hotel. Naturally, guests have diverse needs, values, and circumstances. It’s common for these to clash with hotel rules or policies. In such cases, a good hotel will do everything in its power to find a solution with genuine effort and care—enough for the guest to say, "No need to go further; I understand it’s difficult. Thank you for trying." This was completely different here. They simply upheld their rules without showing any effort or willingness to help. It felt as though they believed it was entirely the fault of demanding guests and saw no issue in upsetting them as a result. I wrote this because I hope they reconsider what true hospitality means. This is just my opinion and may be incorrect; please forgive me if there are any offenses as this is my first time writing a review. If no issues arise during your stay, I believe it would be an ordinary good hotel—just adding that for reference!

    At the entrance...

    Thank you for your hospitality last weekend. As it is a historic Hotel, the aging of the Facility is understandable. However, upon arrival by car, I was greeted by an elderly staff member but noticed there was no cargo cart available. I had to unload my luggage from the car myself and place it at the entrance. Considering that most guests tend to have a lot of luggage during this season, I wonder if "not having a cargo cart" is appropriate? (First impressions are crucial.) Other than that, I believe there were no issues.

    The Onsen is small b...

    The Onsen is small but offers a great view. It's a pity there is no open-air bath. The amenities are minimal, which feels lacking. It would have been better if there were more options like a shampoo bar or leave-in treatments. Meals are buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner, but during dinner, the number of staff was overwhelming! While their job seems to be clearing plates, it felt unsettling as they kept glancing over and sometimes took plates that still had food on them. However, all the staff members were very kind and pleasant.

    Always excellent!

    This was my second stay, and just like the first time, the service was exceptionally courteous. I relaxed my tired body in the large public bath and thoroughly enjoyed the buffet full of Kagoshima specialties. I will definitely stay here again.

    For business trips

    The Sakurajima View Room offers a great view of the majestic Sakurajima. However, please note that the balcony is not accessible. Be aware that looking down may reveal distracting lights from a nearby pachinko parlor. The staff provides excellent service. As there are limited dining options in the area at night, it is recommended to have your meal near the station if you arrive late and want a proper meal.

    It was excellent.

    The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The view from the Room was great, and the room with a view of Sakurajima is highly recommended! Both breakfast and dinner had a wide variety of dishes and were of high quality. I definitely recommend booking with meals included! I will definitely stay here again!!

    The staff's hospital...

    The staff's hospitality is exceptional, with their smiles and warm demeanor making us feel truly welcomed. The view of Sakurajima from the large public bath is breathtaking. I would love to bring my parents here someday.

    The hospitality of all the staff is excellent. The high-floor Rooms are undoubtedly clean! You can clearly see Sakurajima! English support is available, so foreign guests can stay with peace of mind!

    Sisters' Senior Ladies' Trip

    Stayed for one night on May 5th, and it was a wonderful experience! Although I had entered my preferred dinner time during the Reservation, I wondered if it could be adjusted to a later time. The gentleman at the front desk kindly checked and accommodated this request during check-in. The Room and the panoramic bath offered an incredible view of Sakurajima right in front of us—it was breathtaking. We chose the breakfast and dinner buffet option, which featured a variety of dishes in small portions. Dinner included miso soup without ingredients and chicken rice, while breakfast featured delicious items like cheese omelets with bonito flakes prepared by the chef, simmered taro, and more. The sashimi of kibinago allowed us to savor local flavors as well. After dinner, we purchased cakes from the café. When we asked whether they contained alcohol or not, we received polite assistance—thank you for that! Thanks to your help, we enjoyed them in our Room with peace of mind. The cakes were all delightful; even the coffee provided in our Room was smooth and delicious. We ended up purchasing coffee and cookies at checkout because they were so good. As mentioned in other Reviews, some parts of the Facility show their age due to its years since construction; however, this is far outweighed by exceptional hospitality from staff across various areas—the panoramic bath receptionists, cleaning staff, restaurant team members, café attendants—and even those at reception or assisting near parking upon departure made our stay truly pleasant. I heard about your relocation plans but sincerely hope that all staff will continue showcasing their outstanding hospitality spirit to visitors exploring Kagoshima. We’ll definitely come back again—thank you very much!

    The hospitality at the Hotel was excellent. The phone support for forgotten items after returning home was also outstanding. I had Japanese breakfast on the second floor, and it was quiet with a great atmosphere. The buffet was lively, perhaps due to spring break. The bath offered an impressive view of Sakurajima right in front of me.

    I was once again soothed by the beauty of Sakurajima.

    End of the fiscal year. Feeling mentally and physically exhausted, I made a reservation for a double room with single use for 2 nights, overlooking Sakurajima. I spent a weekend enjoying the view of Sakurajima from my room. During my stay, I took a leisurely walk to Zaboon, one of the representative Kagoshima ramen shops, for lunch. After relaxing in the large public bath, I enjoyed a massage in my room before dinner. This time, I wanted to have dinner in my room after the bath and massage. Although it was difficult to get through on the phone for room service during busy restaurant hours (I embarrassingly called every few minutes like an impatient child), thank you for your patience! The Chicken Rice Satsuma Set from room service was absolutely delicious—thank you very much! (Perhaps an automated message like "Room service is available after 8 PM" during busy times could provide some reassurance?) Thanks to this relaxing 2-night stay, I felt recharged and ready for the new fiscal year ahead. I heard news about your relocation plans but hope to visit this hotel many more times before then!

    Vibrant Hotel

    The stay was lively as there seemed to be many sports players and other guests. There were also many Korean golf tourists. I requested a high floor, and the Hotel accommodated my request, but the Room was directly below the public bath. The loud noise and vibrations from the opening and closing of the bath doors echoed late into the night and early in the morning. I wonder if the Hotel staff is aware of this issue. I had requested a quiet Room, but even with earplugs, I could hardly sleep, which was disappointing. The breakfast buffet staff were kind, and it was quite delicious. Since Shuttle Service to major stations is included, I would like to stay at this Hotel again while being mindful of Room location on future visits.

    It was my first time visiting Kagoshima. The view of Sakurajima from the room was amazing. I could also see it from the Onsen, which was wonderful. The good weather made it even more memorable. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Breakfast and staff are excellent.

    Stayed for one night during travel, using a breakfast-only plan. The Japanese-style room had basic facilities and sufficient space, with no particular complaints. The breakfast and staff service exceeded expectations, offering great value for the price. The breakfast buffet featured a wide variety of local ingredients and dishes that were delicious, surpassing prior expectations to the point of overeating. It was far better than the breakfast at a traditional ryokan we visited on another day during this trip, which cost more than four times as much. Staff were exceptionally kind when assisting with incidents involving our child or during use of the public bath, making it an enjoyable stay beyond just the facilities themselves.

    Was the breakfast always this delicious?

    It seems to be my first visit in about 10 years. I remembered the impressive view of Sakurajima from the window, but I also noticed some new aspects. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety and high quality, which greatly enhanced my satisfaction. Kagoshima has many hotels with a good reputation for food due to the influence of famous local hotels, but the meals here were exceptionally delicious and left the strongest impression on me. Travel involves various elements, and even at the same Facility or location, impressions can differ completely; however, I was thoroughly satisfied with the meals. Although it was pouring rain during checkout, I am grateful to the front desk staff who kindly lent me an umbrella despite it being my departure day—it made my trip all the more pleasant. While there are signs of aging in parts of this Facility over time, it is still a Hotel where you can discover new charms beyond that. I hope to visit again someday!

    To the upper floors!

    Stayed for one night on November 12th! We booked the property for our anniversary and were kindly upgraded from a lower floor to a higher floor. Thank you for the thoughtful gesture! The view of Sakurajima right in front was breathtaking! Although there were some clouds, it gradually cleared up, and we could vividly see the volcanic smoke! The next day, we took a ferry to Sakurajima and then a bus to the observatory! Seeing the volcanic smoke up close was also impressive. The breakfast offered a variety of delicious options! When the shuttle service bus departed, a foreign guest held a banner to see us off, which touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes! It was truly moving! I will visit again!

    Friendly staff

    Stayed for one night on 10/19. The view is great and the facility, though old, is well maintained. The open-air bath with a view is worth visiting. There is a convenient shuttle service between Kagoshima Chuo Station and the hotel. On the day, the bus from the hotel, which I wanted to use for dinner, was delayed by about 20 minutes due to a parts issue, so I called a taxi. However, upon checking out the next day, I received a reimbursement for the taxi fare and a token of apology. I believe it was a senior manager, but they handled the situation politely, sharing stories about having a schoolmate from my hometown. Thank you very much.

    Ideal for the Kawasho Hall event.

    A few minutes' walk to Kawasho Hall, very convenient. There is a new shopping mall nearby, which is handy. The facilities are old, and the bottom of the bathtub is a bit flimsy, but the view directly facing Sakurajima and the variety of breakfast options are excellent.
