    Very convenient location near Universal Studios! We had a comfortable stay. The Sesame decor was adorable and soothing.\nWe’d love to stay again.

    Very close to Universal Studios.

    The room was very nice, but unfortunately the soundproofing wasn’t great. The staff were very friendly, and it was closer to Universal than I expected. You can even see the crowds at Universal from the room—highly recommended.

    Very good

    I had a very comfortable stay. When I arrived for the 3:00 PM check-in, I ended up waiting about 30 minutes. The LINE queue feature was a great idea. The Room was comfortable; it would have been even better if the TV could stream YouTube and similar services. At checkout, I went to pick up the locker coin, but the staff seemed very busy and handed it to me while working on something else, saying “yes, yes.” Sorry for coming at a busy time. I used the Epoch breakfast service. Everything was very delicious, with a wide variety of Japanese and Western dishes and desserts. However, some items tasted a bit salty (like the miso soup). The curry was excellent, and I was happy there were udon noodles as well. That said, since the rice balls were already lined up from the start—and staff were at the counter—I thought freshly made ones would have been nicer to eat hot. The ones on display were cold; in that case, I’d rather serve myself warm rice from the rice cooker. It may be difficult when it’s crowded, but overall everything was delicious and I ate a lot. I was very happy. Thank you very much—I’d like to stay again.

    It was comfortable even for four people.

    We stayed for two nights to visit USJ. What we liked 1) A spacious sofa and table 2) Great location 3) The view (we could clearly see USJ!) A few minor drawbacks 1) Limited space to open suitcases 2) Footsteps from the floor above were quite noticeable 3) No complimentary mineral water The Room had been renovated a few years ago, so it was very clean. We were also able to use the stay benefits to receive discounts at nearby restaurants. We would like to stay here again when visiting USJ.

    Family Trip

    I stayed at this Hotel on a trip with my son’s family. It’s close to the park, and the Room is very cute. My grandchildren were excited and delighted from the moment we arrived, thanks to the adorable character statues at the entrance. Breakfast was delicious, and there was a great variety of desserts as well—we were very satisfied. I’d love to stay here again when we visit USJ.

    It was very close to Universal Studios, which made getting around much easier on my body. They also provided a pillow I liked, which was a big help. I would definitely like to stay here again.

    Room Assignment at Check-in Plan (Breakfast Included)

    Room Assigned Plan (Breakfast Included) This was my fifth stay, my first in 1 year and 3 months. This time I chose the most affordable Room Assigned Plan (Breakfast Included). The room is assigned from either a twin or double, 21–38 m², and I was given a Casual Twin Room (City View) on the 21st floor. I arrived early in the morning, but after a quick stay confirmation at the check-in counter, I received a locker coin to store my luggage and an original Hotel pass holder for guests (Sesame Street). If you wear this original Hotel pass holder during your stay and use restaurants inside the Hotel or participating shops at Universal CityWalk Osaka, you can receive various perks—so I recommend picking it up early and making good use of it. For breakfast, due to group bookings on the day, I could choose from three venues: Epoch (restaurant), SOL (special venue), or Ootoya. Epoch and SOL offer the same Japanese/Western buffet. Ootoya offers Japanese set-style main dishes with a half buffet. This time I chose SOL. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the value for money, but there were two small disappointments during this stay. First, although this was an IKYU Reservation with Online Credit Card Payment in advance, I still needed to pay an additional Accommodation Tax of JPY 400 at check-in. When I booked other USJ official Hotels through IKYU before, the Accommodation Tax was included in the Plan. Since advance payment is meant to reduce hassle while traveling, I would prefer it if—like other Hotels—the tax were included in the Plan so there’s no extra step at check-in. Second, one of the bedside light bulbs was burnt out.

    Family trip to USJ

    I often stay here because it’s close to Universal Studios. There are convenience stores and restaurants within walking distance, so it feels safe even with children. However, I was disappointed that when I went to the front desk at night to ask a question, one staff member guided me without making eye contact and looked elsewhere.

    My first stay here, and it was excellent.

    To visit all the official Hotels, I stayed at Hotel Kintetsu Universal City for the first time, and it was incredibly convenient for visiting USJ. As soon as you step out of the lobby, there are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, which was very helpful. This time I made a Reservation for a family Room, and they kindly upgraded me to a Room with a separate bath and toilet. The Room was very cute and clean. They also prepared a high-floor Room with a view of the park, so the view from the Room was amazing. The amenities included everything we needed, which was great. All of the staff were very kind, and you can also receive perks using the character pass case you get at the Hotel, which was nice. Considering the price and location, if you’re going to USJ this is an older Hotel but truly one of the best—an excellent choice overall. I won’t name it here, but there’s another Hotel right in front with an LED arch that’s just expensive… If it’s pricey, good service should be expected! I would definitely like to stay here again next time. Thank you very much.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    It was my first stay in a while. The renovated interior was cute, and the bed was spacious, so I could relax well. This time I chose a twin Room with a separate bath and toilet, and it was just the right size—not too small or too large—making it very comfortable to use. Of course, it was clean and pleasant throughout. Thank you very much.

    Absolutely delighted

    After a full day of fun at USJ with my two grandchildren, we stayed overnight. The moment we stepped out of the elevator, our excitement was at its peak! As soon as we entered the Room, the kids were thrilled. Choosing the Sesame Street Room was absolutely the right decision. The amenities were adorable, and there was even a gift waiting for us. On top of that, we also enjoyed the park’s illuminations. On our way home they asked to come again—this stay became a wonderful memory for us.

    Somewhat disappointing front desk service

    This is my 11th time using the annual pass, and this is the first time I’ve felt irritated. Before the renovation, this hotel had the only smoking Room available, so I started staying here. Even after the smoking Room was removed, I’ve continued to stay about 10 times a year. This is my second stay this year; last time it was a corner Room, but this time it was a high-floor casual Room. Maybe because it was a cheaper Room, but the staff’s tone felt cold. Also, although I thought I would be allowed to choose, I was given red and green pass case holders. I receive them every time so any color would have been fine, but since I want to make two four-piece sets to give to someone (red with pink, and green with blue), now I may get confused next time. On a positive note, I was happy that the male staff member who checked me in last time remembered me and greeted me.

    We chose this accommodation primarily for its convenient location.

    We stay here every year after visiting USJ because our child is tired, so the location is our top priority. The Room was renovated a few years ago and is clean, but the face towels are very thin, which makes it feel a bit like a Business Hotel. There were two disappointing points this time. First, every year on our child’s birthday, the Hotel used to place a few simple decorations in the Room (balloons and a garland). That service has been discontinued. Second, the breakfast. The buffet venue has felt unchanged for years with only a basic selection, but this time the Japanese buffet at Ootoya was even worse. Despite it being a three-day holiday weekend and predictable that it would be crowded, there were clearly not enough staff. When we entered, there were no staff in sight. Many empty tables were still waiting to be cleared. After we finally got seated and chose our main dish on our phone, the food looked nothing like the photos—the omelet rice for kids had scrambled-looking eggs. Drink glasses and side dishes on the half-buffet were barely replenished. Watery leftover vegetables and dishes had spilled and were left scattered around, and no matter how long we waited, everything stayed nearly empty. It was extremely poor. The difference compared with the Western-style buffet venue was so large that I was shocked and felt I never want to use it again. I hope this will be reviewed and improved.

    A Hotel I’d Like to Stay at Again

    I made a Reservation to visit Universal Studios. My child developed a fever and we hadn’t brought a thermometer, but the staff kindly offered to lend us one and said they would look up a hospital for us if needed. There was also a hospital near the Hotel, which gave us peace of mind. Next time we come to visit, I’d like to make a Reservation at this Hotel again. Everyone at the Hotel was very kind, and we had a very pleasant stay.

    I haven’t stayed at all of them, but the breakfast quality may be about what you’d expect for the price.

    There are many official Hotels nearby, but the breakfast at other places was more luxurious—in taste, quantity, and variety. The Room, lobby, and staff were courteous, providing a high-quality Accommodation experience.

    It was very convenient.

    The proximity to the park was truly convenient after walking around USJ all day. In the morning, when we left our luggage and completed a check-in-like process, it took quite some time for the elevator to arrive at the first floor. Priority was given to those checking out, and some people in a hurry skipped ahead in line, filling up the counters. Since we planned to wait for park opening, it felt like quite a long wait. However, it was nice that nighttime check-in didn’t take much time. The Room is as small as shown in photos. Since there were three of us staying together, we had to open our suitcases in the doorway due to limited space. Moving around inside or using the bathroom was also challenging due to how compact everything was.

    Exciting and vibrant interior design!

    No Meals Included, but the area had plenty of restaurants and two convenience stores, making it very convenient. Not only the Room but the entire Hotel featured a pop design, full of excitement like visiting a theme park! However, one issue was that the electric kettle in the Room seemed to be broken, so I couldn't use hot water for cup soup or hot coffee at breakfast, which was disappointing.

    Stay for Your Birthday

    Upon entering the Room, we found a message card and a gift prepared in advance as we had informed you about our grandchild's birthday. Our grandchild was delighted to find the "Happy Birthday" board on the wall. When we turned on the TV, a congratulatory message appeared, which made them even happier. Thank you very much. At night, we got caught in a thunderstorm at Universal Studios and got wet, but since the Hotel was nearby, it was convenient to return quickly for a change of clothes. Being close to the park is very convenient. The next morning, we were able to head to the park at our own pace.

    We stayed at the acc...

    We stayed at the accommodation for a trip to USJ as two adults. Even though we are both quite older, the staff treated us just as cheerfully as other guests, fitting the theme park hotel atmosphere, which made us very happy. The entire hotel seemed to have a Sesame Street theme, with Sesame Street music and amenities. Since it’s a room designed for families, we appreciated that the cups were color-coded. The building must be well-constructed because we couldn’t hear any noise from other guests at all. The room and hallways were vibrant but very quiet. Additionally, perhaps because it was a weekday, our room was upgraded so we could enjoy an interesting view of the park from above. After checking out, being able to use dedicated coin lockers was also convenient and helpful. One thing that concerned me was the step between the bathroom and washroom—it’s quite high. There is also a step right below the door of the room where my elderly mother tripped over it. While younger people might not have an issue with this, please be cautious!

    First Stay

    Stayed for my daughter's birthday, and the location was great! The room was quite dark due to insufficient lighting. Also, the breakfast we were looking forward to was surprisingly too salty.

    The location was excellent.

    I used this accommodation for visiting the Expo. The staff's response was kind and very good. However, I honestly feel the service could improve a bit more. I paid just over 70,000 yen for a 2-night stay, but I was surprised that eco-cleaning with only towel replacement is the standard. Even at business hotel level accommodations, many places handle trash disposal and towel replacement as standard services. Cleaning can be requested without additional charges, but when I asked at the front desk, their reaction seemed somewhat reluctant. When I returned to my room at night after going out, while the room was clean overall, the room slippers were scattered around and the bathwater temperature setting was left on high (normally it should be set to a safe temperature). This gave me an impression of being short-staffed or lacking in attention to detail. I had meals at two locations; there were plenty of options available but the taste was average. Even if service quality is low, customers may still come due to good location; however, unfortunately for me personally, I would not choose to stay here again.

    Room size is...

    We stayed as a three-generation family. Spending my grandchild's birthday at Universal has become an annual tradition. This was our first time using this Hotel. However, with six people sleeping in a cramped space (laughs), my daughter-in-law seemed uncomfortable and couldn't sleep well. The location is great, but the Room was disappointing!

    First time use

    I used this for a trip with my son. It was conveniently located close to USJ. Since we had a Multiple Night Stay, if I were to mention one thing, although I requested the exchange of towels and such (by placing the tag), the cups that were clearly used (we used two and stacked them) were not replaced, and I would have liked them to be exchanged.

    During our trip to Universal Studios, we only used one night of the two-night hotel stay. (The other night was near Osaka Station.) I chose a hotel close to Universal Studios, thinking that the kids might be tired and fussy after a long day at the park, and it turned out to be a good decision. However, I learned just before our visit that the park opens earlier than its official opening time and that you need to arrive early in the morning to enter the Nintendo area. In hindsight, it might have been better to stay at a property closer to Universal Studios on the night before for shorter travel time in the morning. The room was small and felt like just a place for sleeping. The shower seemed old-fashioned? My child couldn't figure out how to use it alone. For breakfast, there was a buffet space set lower for children with small paper cups provided as containers, which I found subtly impressive. My child filled those cups with jelly and cookies. For check-out, there was no need to go to the front desk as there was a box for collecting card keys right by where you get off from the elevator, along with dedicated staff members present—this made for great service in my opinion. Additionally, due to its excellent location not only near Universal Studios but also close proximity to stations and convenience stores like Matsumoto Kiyoshi (Matsukiyo), 551 Horai (Gohichiichi) or souvenir shops being almost directly connected made everything incredibly convenient!

    I was satisfied.

    I stayed for the first time this time. It was a trip decided suddenly, so I was wondering what to do, but I was relieved to find one available room. The room was a bit small for three people with a child, but the wallpaper and the elevator were very cute and nice. It was close to USJ, and there were convenience stores and restaurants, and the parking was free for one day, which was great. I would like to come again.

    For two people, parent and child.

    I visited Universal Studios with my 6-year-old youngest child and stayed here. The design from the elevator to the Room was exciting for the children, and they were very pleased. I was concerned about the dust in the guest Room, but other than that, there were no complaints, and the reception and staff were very courteous and reassuring. This was my second stay, and I would like to use it again.

    Conveniently located near USJ!

    This time, I stayed for two nights for the first time. The first night was in a 21 square meter Room, but it was so small that I struggled to find a place for my luggage. I wanted a few more towels, but there were only the minimum number, and the slipper material was rough and uncomfortable, which was disappointing. Also, it would have been nice to have a water server on each floor, but it was only on the lobby floor, which was very inconvenient. It was a hassle to go all the way down to get water, and I struggled a lot. The small Room was cheap, so it was just for sleeping, so I guess it was okay. On the second night, I stayed in a 38 square meter Room with a Sesame Street theme, and I was able to enjoy a panoramic view of the park. The Room was playful and truly a luxurious space, and I was really satisfied! The slippers and bathroom cups were colorful and cute, perfectly matching the Room's atmosphere! However, the nightwear was too ordinary, which was a bit disappointing. I wished the nightwear had a playful touch to match the Room's atmosphere! Overall, I was very satisfied with the Sesame Street Room! It was truly too luxurious! If I have the chance, I would like to stay in a different type of Sesame Street Room! The Hotel's location is really convenient for going to USJ! It's just a one-minute walk from USJ, super close! If I have the chance, I would like to stay again!
