    Spacious and comfortable

    It was a comfortable Accommodation that could easily cost three times as much in Tokyo.

    We made this a one-night base for the Noshiro Tanabata Festival.

    I had been looking for Accommodation for the Tohoku summer festivals—Nebuta, Neputa, and Kanto—for about two months in advance, but it was understandably difficult. I gave up on Aomori and Goshogawara, and when I found availability at Akita Castle Hotel on August 2, I noticed the Noshiro Tanabata Festival and decided to stay. From Tokyo, I took the Akita Shinkansen to Akita and then went on to Noshiro; I was amazed and moved by the size and splendor of the festival floats. I think Akita Prefecture and Noshiro City should be promoted more across The whole country. I returned to Akita and checked in a little late, but the front desk staff greeted me with smiles, making my stay very pleasant. Breakfast the next morning also offered many local specialties, so I was able to fully enjoy Akita. My only regret is that I didn’t stay one more night to see the Kanto festival at night.

    I think it’s a good Hotel.

    I was torn until the end between this Hotel and one near the station, but I chose this one. The only disappointment was breakfast. The main kiritanpo in the kiritanpo hot pot was dry and crumbly and didn’t taste good. If Akita’s specialty is at this level, guests coming from far away may think, “Is kiritanpo really like this?” which could hurt its image. Are you checking the taste? At present, it might be better to suspend serving it. For Akita’s sake as well, I hope you will improve it. The croissants were very delicious. The staff service, the atmosphere inside the building, and the room were all good, so I’m being strict despite that.

    I will never stay here again. There was no nightwear provided among the amenities, not even a yukata. There were two types of pillows, but both smelled of sweat, so I couldn’t sleep well—it was the worst night.

    Stayed for two nights on a business trip.

    This is my fourth stay. The detailed guidance provided by the woman assisting near the reception was excellent. At the breakfast venue, there is no space to place trays when serving items like miso soup or other soups. Do guests need to leave their trays far away and then take the soup? Other food items were also difficult to pick up. Perhaps a simulation could be conducted to improve this setup?

    Great View

    The view of Senshu Park was excellent. Both the lobby and the Room were clean, but the unit bath was slippery and difficult to get in and out of. The food and sake at the Japanese restaurant were delicious.

    Used after a long time

    This is recognized as the most prestigious and traditional Hotel in Akita. I have also stayed at other hotels in the city, but I feel that the staff's hospitality here is exceptional. However, I was a bit disappointed with the bathroom. It is a unit bath, and having the toilet right next to the bathtub (though the bathtub itself is relatively large and nice) feels somewhat unappealing. While this might have been standard at the time of opening, newer hotels nowadays generally separate toilets from bathrooms. I understand that renovations can be costly, but making such changes could enhance comfort significantly.

    No side dishes for "Akitakomachi".

    The breakfast selection was limited, which was disappointing. There were no side dishes to complement the "Akitakomachi" rice. The shower water pressure was low, though the water quality itself seemed good. It was nice that the room could be made bright by turning on all the lights. The window had frosted glass. The heating worked well, and the provided humidifier functioned effectively. While there was minimal harm from synthetic fragrances or microcapsules in the sheets and bed, their scent lingered even after returning home. Towels were odor-free with no synthetic smell. (It would be great if something could be done about previous guests' scents lingering on the hairdryer.) Room cleaning was excellent. I stayed for a soccer away game and benefited from a discount under the "Sports Support Discount." The bakery on the first floor is delightful. The entrance has an arcade structure, allowing access to buses without getting wet in rain. A department store next door was temporarily closed, but there is an art museum on the other side with several renowned shops nearby. There's a park right in front; it would have been lovely if not for strong winds and cold weather that day. The town overall had few tourists and felt uncrowded, giving me a sense of domestic travel after a long time away from it—an accommodation I can recommend as decent overall!

    I stayed in the Sout...

    I stayed in the South Wing. There was a notice that there might be noise due to renovation work, but it was very quiet and comfortable. It was a Multiple Night Stay with breakfast included, but it was a bit disappointing that the breakfast buffet had the same menu on both days. Drinks were available for takeout, with paper containers and lids provided for use. I would like to use this Property again if I visit Akita Prefecture in the future.

    Thank you for a comfortable stay.

    Although the Facility is somewhat outdated, the traditional atmosphere and service allowed us to enjoy a comfortable stay in a spacious Room. It is also close to Senshu Park, which we were able to explore before our departure the next morning. We were very grateful for the quick preparation of umbrellas when it started to snow. The artworks inside the building, including those by Picasso, were quite impressive.

    Traditional Hotel

    The location is excellent, and it is a traditional and prestigious hotel used by celebrities. You can board the airport limousine right next to it. It is suitable for banquets and VIP use, but I think the rooms for business use are starting to lag behind new hotels in terms of service and facilities. For example, there are many issues such as a three-point unit, no large public bath, no water service in the room, and a lack of grandeur at the front desk, suggesting that a complete renovation may be necessary soon. Breakfast is neither good nor bad. I liked the scent of the Pelican soap amenities. However, it may be the market rate in this area, but the accommodation cost being about half that of hotels in the city center, Nagoya, and Osaka may be too low.

    I stayed here for a ...

    I stayed here for a live concert trip. I used it two years ago and liked it, so I made a reservation again, but only the smoking eco plan was available. After some hesitation, I decided to use it. Indeed, there was some smell, but I managed by running the installed air purifier at full capacity. I like the room because it is spacious, and the layout of the bath and toilet is reasonably roomy. Since the rain was heavy, my folding umbrella felt unreliable, but I was able to borrow an umbrella, which they kindly lent me. There is also a convenience store and a bakery, making it comfortable. I would like to use it again. Thank you very much.

    I go on business trips to Akita City about 10 times a year. I choose Castle Hotel for about half of those trips. The hotel is relatively close to Akita Station, making it convenient for using nearby educational facilities and shopping, and the facilities are well-equipped. However, the most important point is the staff's subtle consideration and service. This time, even though I booked a standard room, I was allowed to use a twin room for single use. Thanks to this, I was able to rest well and spend a few relaxing hours until check-out the next morning. Thank you for your thoughtfulness. It seems I will be staying there about two more times within the year.

    I used it for the first time in a while.

    This is my third stay. I stayed this time to participate in the Takahashi Yu-kun festival. I chose a plan without cleaning. I apologize for producing a lot of trash. I will use it again. It's clean and connected to a convenience store, so it's convenient. The bakery looks delicious, and the cakes looked delicious too. I look forward to staying again.
