    The location was reasonably convenient, the property was clean, and I especially felt the staff’s service was excellent. On the other hand, I occasionally noticed an unpleasant odor in the unit bathroom in my room, so that affected my rating (it smelled like a drain odor backing up).

    Probably the best in Kochi City.

    Thank you for your hospitality. The building seems old, but I felt it is well maintained. The Room has also been renovated and was comfortable. Up to that point everything was good, but I think the breakfast has significant room for improvement. There is certainly a wide variety, including local ingredients. However, the curry was only the sauce and not very satisfying. The sausages and other items were also disappointing. In addition, it was a large hall that felt more suited to group tours, which was unfortunate. If possible, I strongly feel you should visit other Hotels and make improvements. I apologize for being presumptuous. Because the Room was so good, this was especially disappointing, so I have left a rather critical comment.

    This Hotel offers excellent hospitality.

    I stay here whenever I visit Kochi. It is conveniently located near Kochi Castle and Hirome Market. It is a satisfying Hotel that is also ideal for sightseeing in the area.

    The interior has been beautifully renovated, making the Room feel more spacious.

    The Room was not the one shown in the photos; it seems to have been renovated, and the furniture is now simpler, which made the Room feel very spacious and nice. It was disappointing that there were only mugs. I would have liked at least some glasses as well. There was only one small trash bin, so I would have preferred a larger one or an additional bin.

    A Hotel for a Relaxing Stay

    Well-maintained and offers a relaxing stay. Above all, the staff are exceptional. Their greetings and attentiveness were the best I've experienced so far. This will be my choice when visiting Kochi.

    This is my regular accommodation when visiting Kochi.

    The location is excellent. Additionally, we were upgraded to a higher grade. Furthermore, the pool and other facilities are available during rainy weather, providing a great backup option.

    I was satisfied with the result.

    Thank you for your hospitality regarding the room arrangement and other services. However, the room felt a bit plain. The breakfast was sufficient as it was. In a good way, I was normally satisfied. Although I was irritated by the poor manners of some overseas guests, many of the staff were very kind. I would like to stay here again on my next visit to Kochi. Thank you very much!

    Toilet malfunction

    The room had a washlet, which was nice, but the water pressure was too low to be useful. It might be because the machine is old. The room was 629.

    40th Wedding Anniversary

    Conveniently located right in front of Kochi Castle, it is a slightly old but good Hotel. I used it many times during business trips 25 years ago. It was nice to visit Kochi again after a long time.

    Overall, I was satisfied, but when I checked the bathroom right after checking in, I found 2-3 hairs on the floor, which made me a bit uneasy. Additionally, I checked out around 10:30 AM and was disappointed to see that cleaning had already started in the Room. I had to walk through a hallway with linens scattered around.

Points for Consideration (1) Overall, the property feels outdated (2) Despite requesting a toothbrush for a Multiple Night Stay at the front desk, it was not provided (3) Only one ice machine is available, and it was clogged at the bottom, making it unusable (4) Cleaning staff were chatting excessively near guests, which may not be appropriate in such situations (5) Parking fees have increased by 50%; offering discounts for Multiple Night Stays could be considered (6) Although I frequently stay here recently, the front desk always treats me as if I am a first-time guest

    First Time in Tosa

    This was my first visit to Kochi, and I chose this Hotel based on Reviews. The guest rooms have been renovated, but it still feels like an old-generation grand Hotel in a regional city. The air conditioning is not individual, and the bathroom and toilet are in the same room. Amenities are nothing special, and there is no complimentary water provided. While breakfast received high ratings, it was average at best (better than a Business Hotel but nothing exceptional). The only positive point might be its convenient location near Kochi Castle and the downtown area.

    It is hard to imagine a room without a key these days. Adjusting the room temperature is difficult. The parking lot is always full. There is a notice in the elevator asking guests to check out early because it gets crowded with Chinese group check-outs between 7:00 and 8:00 AM. However, if the Hotel knows about this congestion, it should increase staff to handle it rather than leaving it up to guests. Normally, for group tours, payments are settled the night before to avoid morning check-out congestion, which makes tour schedules smoother. Please take inspiration from APA Hotel. Although their rooms are small, everything is designed efficiently for both the Hotel and its guests.

    Convenient Location for Sightseeing

    An excellent location for sightseeing, including Kochi Castle, Hirome Market, and Harimaya Bridge. While the building shows some signs of aging, considering the location and price, it was generally satisfactory.

    It was very comfortable.

    This was my first stay. I arrived earlier than the check-in time, but I was able to park my car without any issues. The lobby and other areas of the accommodation had a calm atmosphere, allowing me to relax comfortably. The breakfast included local specialties from Kochi, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would love to stay here again!

    The hospitality was as excellent as ever.

    Due to COVID-19, I couldn't visit Kochi for a while. It was my first stay in a long time, but the hospitality was as excellent as before. One minor issue: my wife bought two identical souvenir sets for her friends, but one had an expiration date of March 28 and the other until mid-May. It would have been better if the dates were consistent. However, we will give them within their respective expiration dates, so there is no practical problem.

    We had the best breakfast!

    The location was excellent, and I enjoyed city sightseeing more than I expected. I couldn't book dinner, but the breakfast was excellent. The service was kind, and it was a wonderful Hotel where I could feel the gentle nature of the area.

    Showa/Heisei Hotel

    All facilities and equipment seem to have not been updated for 30 years. The staff's attitude is somewhat gloomy, and there is no sense of hospitality. Recent hotels catering to the inbound boom also have many issues, but there were no positive aspects to this hotel, which seems frozen in time. The only aspect that meets the standard is the breakfast buffet, which reminded me of the old Shin-Hankyu.
