    Since I stayed after...

    Since I stayed after reading the Reviews, I knew it was old, but the fittings were poor—the door was hard to close, and some of the lights in the Room did not work—so I felt that at least basic maintenance should be done. It is very convenient because it is close to the station, so I think there is steady demand; I would like it to be kept a bit cleaner. Although it is old, I think it is well cleaned. If I go to Tsukuba again, I would like to stay here again.

    Conveniently located near the station, making it comfortable for traveling with my elderly mother.

    The convenient location near the station was very helpful. We chose a breakfast-included Plan, and both Japanese and Western options were available, allowing us to enjoy a delicious and pleasant morning. We also appreciated the cheerful and courteous service from the breakfast venue staff. The takeaway drink cups for the Room were also a nice touch. For dinner, we dined at the Japanese restaurant on the second floor. The food was delicious, and once again, the staff's polite service made it a comfortable experience. However, my elderly mother felt slightly cold with just the futon at night, so we borrowed an extra blanket for our second night. It would have been nice if there had been one in the Room from the start to address this on our first night as well. We would love to stay here again when visiting Tsukuba!

    Recommended accommodation for a family trip to Tsukuba.

    Stayed with a 2-year-old and a 5-year-old. Chose this accommodation for the JAXA special open day, and it was the perfect choice. The lobby had picture books that could be taken to the room, and we borrowed about five to read before bed, keeping the kids entertained. The stay was free for children sharing existing bedding, but we received complimentary kids' amenities and could add bath towels for ¥220 each. The deep bathtub allowed us to relax while bathing, which delighted the children. The beds had guards on both sides, ensuring safety and a good night's sleep. Breakfast included Japanese, Western, and local dishes with plenty of options to enjoy. The crème brûlée dessert was delicious but only available early in the morning; later on, only raspberry cake was served. Although there was a kitchen area available during breakfast time, freshly made items like omelets were not offered. While breakfast is reasonable when included in a plan, adding it as an option later at ¥3,000 felt expensive. Breakfast for children sharing existing bedding cost ¥700 each. We were seated in box seats during breakfast which allowed us to eat comfortably with kids—highly recommended for families! The wireless charging station meant no need to bring your own charger. Skincare products like lotion and makeup remover were from Sekkisei—a great point for women—and you can stay without bringing much luggage. Souvenirs sold next to the first-floor reception counter included delicious monaka sweets that I wanted to buy by the box! Though limited in selection, they offer carefully chosen souvenirs. The staff were friendly and provided helpful sightseeing information. With its excellent location, I would love to visit again!

    Conveniently located...

    Conveniently located for exploring Tsukuba Science City. The building, designed by Arata Isozaki, exudes high quality, and both the Hotel staff and the restaurant staff for dinner were excellent. The Plan includes not only breakfast but also dinner, which was delicious and impressive for the price. The recommended "Kiri Tsukuba" was also delightful. Having lived in the Science City in the past, staying at this once-admired Hotel (formerly Tsukuba Daiichi Hotel) was nostalgic and convenient for climbing Mount Tsukuba. The former pool area in the annex could be repurposed for multipurpose use, such as basketball practice during the day. (Even if nighttime use is restricted due to noise concerns, it would be great if it could be used for basketball during certain hours in the daytime.)

    It was my first stay in a while.

    Thank you for providing consistent service. As there were few guests, I was able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. The absence of an butter and salmon at breakfast is understandable due to rising costs.

    Convenient and offers good service.

    I stayed at the accommodation after a long time, but this time I noticed signs of aging. I'm not usually particular about details, but I couldn't help noticing wrinkles and stains on the wallpaper. The lack of any artwork or decorations in the room also seemed unusual for a hotel of this class. Regarding air conditioning, while I could adjust the strength, there was no temperature control, so I had to frequently turn it on and off. On the positive side, amenities like bath additives, laundry facilities, and microwaves on each floor were convenient; cleanliness was excellent; and its proximity to the station and commercial facilities was very convenient. However, I hope they update some aspects of their facilities in the future.

    The price was affordable, and I had a comfortable stay again this time. It feels like I always get the same room every time I stay, which might be because the room is predetermined by the reservation site. While it is a quiet location, some changes in the interior would be nice to avoid monotony. The meals were served in a bright atmosphere, and the food was very delicious.

    First-time stay

    The Facility was excellent. The carbonated bath additive was particularly good. I could relax by filling the bathtub with hot water after a tiring day. However, I was slightly bothered by the noise from the neighboring Room. The sound of hangers being used was quite noticeable. The air conditioning was comfortable.

    It was excellent.

    This was my first stay, and it was very comfortable. It was a Multiple Night Stay, and the cleaning was done very thoroughly. However, the battery in the scale in the Room ran out by the morning of the second day, so I couldn't use it, which was unfortunate. Thank you very much. I will use your service again.

    After breakfast, when I returned to the room, the door was open. Even for a one-night stay, is it necessary to place a "No Cleaning Required" sign on the door? I felt that there was a lack of coordination with the cleaning staff.

    Due to the universit...

    Due to the university entrance exams, all rooms were fully booked, so I had no choice but to stay in a twin room for 88,000 yen for two nights. On other days, it shouldn't be this expensive, but it feels like they're taking advantage of the situation. The room only had green tea, and not even coffee was provided. Nowadays, any business hotel has coffee available in the room or at the front desk. I felt that a little more corporate effort could be made. I'm sorry.

    Thank you very much.

    I used it for my daughter's entrance exam. The breakfast had a wide variety and everything was delicious. The staff were really kind and arranged a taxi for us even though it was sudden, making our stay very pleasant. One thing I would appreciate if improved is the ability to adjust the room temperature. We couldn't adjust it, and it was too hot, making it difficult for both my daughter and me to sleep, so I gave a slightly lower rating. Hotel Nikko is a Hotel I often use if there is availability across the whole country, so I have high hopes for the future. I am grateful just to have been able to stay... It may not be something worth writing about, but I would be happy if you could consider it.
