    We enjoyed our stay with our dog.

    We were able to relax and take our time surrounded by nature. However, there were a lot of ticks in the garden attached to the Room, and once we noticed them, it was disappointing that we couldn’t go outside. We understand that this is part of being in nature, but we believe regular maintenance could help significantly, so we would really appreciate it. We’d like to visit again when the weather is nice.

    I had a pleasant stay.

    I stayed here to celebrate a friend’s 70th birthday. The Facility is old, but well maintained, and I had a very comfortable stay. Dinner in particular was excellent—the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere (the live piano performance was wonderful), and both the wine and the food were delicious. They also prepared a celebratory dessert plate, and at breakfast they made a special drink along with congratulatory words. It was a wonderful celebration trip. Thank you very much.

    If you want to feel young again, this is the place to be!

    It might be my first trip from Kitakyushu to Kuju in 15 years. The in-room bath was amazing. I brought a pedometer.\n1,000 steps from the front desk to the Room.\n1,000 steps from the Room to the dining hall.\n700 steps round trip from the front desk to the private open-air bath.\n2,300 steps for a walk around nearby.\nAll told, 8,500 steps in a day (lol). I only walked around the Hotel and still ended up sore (lol). By checkout the next morning, I was already at 5,000 steps (lol).\nAny small complaints just disappear thanks to nature and all that walking. Backpacker vibes—Alabama! Nebraska! It felt so American and made me feel 40 years younger!\nThe meals, beds, bugs, amenities—even how everything fits together—felt like being wrapped in memories of my sleeping-bag camping days. It was awesome!\nThank you, IKYU—this became a once-in-a-lifetime memory. Oh—and bringing your own toothpaste is recommended.

    A wonderful Hotel.

    Stayed for one night and two days from 12/30 to 1/1 in 2025-2026. The guest rooms are connected to the main building by open-air corridors with roofs, giving a cottage-like feel. Although the rooms are not new, they have a cozy mountain lodge atmosphere with plenty of wood used in the design. The main dining area had a wood-burning stove, creating an incredibly warm and inviting ambiance during meals. For meals, we enjoyed French cuisine on the first day and Japanese cuisine on the second day. The French dishes were flawless—every course from appetizers to soup and mains was perfectly delicious. As for the Japanese meal, we found it slightly too rich in flavor with sweet soy sauce that stood out; however, it felt characteristic of Kyushu's style. The Onsen water was slightly cooler but exceptionally smooth and left our skin feeling soft and refreshed. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would love to visit again!

    A bit disappointing

    The season was perfect for a trip, and we decided to travel with our beloved dog after holding off all summer. Expectations were high, but the stay fell slightly short of them. Upon arrival, the parking lot was full! When we asked at the front desk, they casually mentioned it was due to a wedding and offered no real solution. With plenty of pet-related luggage in tow, being told to park at a distant lot across the street was truly inconvenient. The overall atmosphere felt dim, and both the Room and hallways had an identical layout that made navigation confusing—we got lost multiple times. While the food tasted good, it left us wondering if it matched the price we paid. My husband even ended up eating four pieces of bread because he wasn’t full from just the meal. Considering the cost of our stay, having at least one standout feature would have made a big difference.

    We heard that there are Rooms available where pets can stay.

    I found this Hotel while searching for a place in the cool Kuju area where I could stay with my beloved dog. The Room had a private dog run, and my dog was overjoyed as we played together. At night, the stars and moon were beautiful, and I enjoyed sitting on a chair to relax in the cool air. The Room also had a large cage, so I could leave my dog safely during dinner. For dinner, I ordered a Japanese course meal, and freshly prepared dishes were served one after another—it was incredibly delicious. Coffee beans were provided in the Room, and since the water was very tasty, I ended up having several cups of coffee—a delightful service indeed! The Onsen had wonderful properties that felt amazing; I soaked multiple times. However, there were quite a few stairs and elevation changes which made it slightly tiring. I would love to visit again with my dog!

    Travel with Your Beloved Dog

    A delightful return to Resonate Club Kuju! Thrilled that it has become an accommodation where pets are welcome. The private garden brought joy to my beloved dog. The Bungo beef rotisserie for dinner was exquisite, truly making me feel the essence of Resonate. I enjoyed the Onsen three times, which was incredibly relaxing. Breakfast offered a wide variety, including Oita specialties, fresh vegetables, and both Japanese and Western options—I ended up eating more than I should! Warm hospitality from the staff made me feel so welcomed. I left with a strong desire to visit again!

    Neither good nor bad.

    The room, meals, and bath were as described. However, there was no guidance provided for the breakfast location upon arrival. The winding mountain road from Hita IC took about 90 minutes and was a bit tiring. It is not a Hotel I would want to visit again.

    We would like various renovations.

    Nearly 20 years ago, I visited with three generations of my family and had a wonderful experience, so I decided to return. As before, I enjoyed the natural scenery and the pleasant highland atmosphere. There are also nearby attractions like wineries and flower parks to enjoy. However, the Facility overall showed signs of aging, and there were various other issues this time that I won't detail here. As for breakfast, perhaps my expectations were too high; it used to feature local ingredients and was excellent, but this time it felt more like something from a Business Hotel, which was disappointing.

    I was looking forward to breakfast, but...

    There is nothing extraordinary, but that's what makes it special. It feels warm because it never changes. There are no particular surprises, but we use this accommodation like visiting a relative's house. When our children were still small, we often reminisced about moments like "Remember when they said this here?" or "The staff's kind words made us so happy." We are always busy recalling such memories. This is that kind of accommodation. However, the breakfast that our family always looked forward to seems to have lost its charm recently. We used to enjoy plenty of fresh vegetables from Kuju in the morning and especially loved the Kuju Morning Porridge—it was everyone's favorite dish! But lately, it's no longer served... Today again, it wasn't there, leaving us feeling very disappointed. We hope to reunite with the Kuju Morning Porridge someday—it would make us so happy!

    In the heart of nature

    The facility was well-maintained, reflecting careful attention to detail. Despite being informed at check-in that the accommodation was fully booked with 200 guests, it was surprisingly quiet and allowed for a very relaxing stay. For me, food is the highlight of any trip. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely excellent.

    Stay with Your Pet

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my husband's special occasion. It was our first time staying with our dog, but since it was a room with a dog run, our dog seemed to enjoy playing as soon as we arrived. The room had a large cage, pee pads, cleaning tools, and more, which was very convenient. The meals were also very delicious. We would love to stay again with our dog!

    The Onsen was excellent.

    It wasn't as cold as I thought, and time passed slowly. I would like to see different scenery in another season.
