    I had a very comfort...

    I had a very comfortable stay at this historic Hotel with a long-standing history. The restaurant was also very delicious, and I would love to visit this Hotel again.

    Full of features and highly satisfying

    Made a reservation to coincide with my sons' return from the Kanto region. After dining together as a family at Key West, only the children stayed at the accommodation. They enjoyed karaoke, sauna, table tennis, and darts, followed by a morning walk in Maiko Park and shopping at the outlet before heading back. We love the location with beautiful views of Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and the spacious atmosphere.

    As always, the wonderful Maiko Villa!

    I have been a repeat guest for about 15 years. This time, my family of four stayed in a Japanese-Western style room with dinner and breakfast included. When it comes to Maiko Villa, the highlight is definitely the food! The Italian course dinner was excellent, and the breakfast buffet was equally outstanding in both quality and quantity. Even our picky-eating children were fully satisfied. While many other hotels have a 10:00 AM checkout time, Maiko Villa offers an 11:00 AM checkout. This one-hour difference makes a big impact. Although we checked out before 10:00 AM this time, it was great to be able to relax without feeling rushed. I look forward to staying again and hope for the same wonderful hospitality from Maiko Villa next time as well!

    It was excellent.

    The best part was the breakfast. While the variety wasn't extensive, the meals were enjoyable for everyone. The bath was a bit far, so I only went once even though I wanted to go multiple times, but it was very relaxing. The Room had slightly dim lighting, which made it a bit inconvenient, but overall I would consider staying here again.

    Focus on cost performance recently!

    There are many great facilities if you're willing to spend money! But, Maiko Villa offers the best value for money! While it's not an Onsen, it has a spacious and clean spa and sauna. The buffet for breakfast and dinner is excellent, the entire facility is luxurious, and you can enjoy stunning sunsets or night views of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge! Since it was a weekday, it cost just under 32,000 yen for two people with two meals included. Highly recommended for a mini-refresh getaway!

    This was my first stay. There was no USB charging port available. Other than that, I was very satisfied. However, it was disappointing that the front desk staff’s response felt cold.

    A clean Hotel with great views

    The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge view and the sunset were beautiful. The Room was bright and clean. The bath was spacious and relaxing, but it felt a bit exposed from outside. It would have been better if the toilet was separate.

    60th Birthday Trip

    We decided to go on a celebratory trip nearby with friends from university to mark our 60th birthdays (our school is in Hyogo Prefecture). The scenery was stunning, and the food was delicious. They provided red vests for us, so we took individual commemorative photos. We had a wonderful time late into the night and were completely satisfied. This will likely become an annual tradition. When planning another nearby trip, we would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

    Highly recommended Hotel.

    Due to my travel schedule, I stayed with No Meals Included. I arrived after dark and had luggage, so I tried to use a taxi from Maiko Station, but there were no taxis at the stand. I ended up using a taxi app. The hotel is a 7-minute walk from the station, so I thought it would be manageable on foot, but walking on dark roads at night was challenging. Now that I'm familiar with the area, I'll aim to check in during daylight next time. There was no safe in the Room, but there were lockers with locks in the public bath area, which was helpful. It would be great if this information could be clearly stated somewhere noticeable in the Room. I sent my luggage via courier service and greatly appreciated how kind and helpful the staff were during this process. The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is nearby with beautiful views; the Room was comfortable and allowed for a good night's sleep. The L'Occitane amenities in the public bath also added an extra touch of excitement! This is definitely a Hotel I'd like to visit again. Thank you for your hospitality!

    We stayed with children. The Room was spacious and convenient to use. The children were thrilled as they could see trains and ships from the Room. The large public bath was very relaxing, and the breakfast buffet had fresh vegetables that were very delicious.

    Stunning View

    The view from the 12th-floor Room was spectacular, allowing us to fully enjoy Kobe's nightscape. The newly renovated large public bath was very pleasant, and the Japanese cuisine at Arisugawa was incredibly delicious, leaving us completely satisfied.

    The meals are exceptionally delicious and excellent.

    When making the Reservation, I asked about parking but did not receive a response. At check-in, I felt the explanation of the Facility was slightly insufficient. However, the view was great, and I was able to relax. Overall, it was good.

    New Building

    I have been using this accommodation since last year as a place to stay after going to the beach. This time, I stayed in the newly built annex, and it exceeded my expectations. The large public bath was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with amenities, so I made good use of it both at night and in the morning. The room was naturally clean as it was brand new, and from the window, I could see Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. At night, I enjoyed the bridge illuminated in Expo colors. I chose a plan without meals for both breakfast and dinner this time. Unfortunately, when I contacted the Italian restaurant we visited last year, they were fully booked—that was my only disappointment. Instead, we went to a Japanese restaurant where we had a relaxing meal that turned out great. I'll definitely stay here again!

    Everything was perfect!

    I stayed in the new building. The room was spacious, and the location was excellent. The bath was new, comfortable, and very convenient to use. The breakfast had a wide variety and was delicious. I was surprised to find such a wonderful resort hotel in Kansai. I would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much!

    The Room offered a great view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and the scenery was excellent. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. However, despite arriving at the Hotel early, the female front desk staff lacked attentiveness during check-in. It was clear that without speaking up, I would have been kept waiting indefinitely. Even though my check-in process was completed, I noticed other guests who checked in later receiving their room keys before me. Only after I spoke up did I receive my key. I had assumed my name would be called when ready, but there was no such consideration at all.

    The view was excellent.

    Stayed 2 nights in the annex. The accommodation had been renovated since my previous stay, and both the room and spa were very convenient to use. The view of Akashi Kaikyo and the sea from the room and within the hotel was stunning. However, I felt that the check-in congestion and waiting time during breakfast could be improved. The dinner buffet offered a wide variety of dishes and was enjoyable. For dinner at Arisugawa, adults found it delicious. However, for children, it was disappointing with cold fried chicken, potatoes, unappetizing hamburgers, and low-quality sashimi. Considering some hotels provide high-quality meals even for children’s dinners, this was quite disappointing.

    I was very satisfied.

    Stayed in a connecting room with my elderly mother and her grandchildren. The room was clean, the view from the window was great, and the amenities in the large public bath were L'Occitane. Everything was very clean and pleasant. This time it was no meals included and just for sleeping, but I would like to stay longer next time. Thank you very much!

    The scenery and service are both excellent.

    We stayed during the Obon holiday with my son's family. Before check-in, my 1-year-old grandchild enjoyed playing in the pool with the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge as a backdrop. Check-in was very crowded, but since we lined up early, we were able to enter smoothly. However, other families with children seemed to have waited for a long time. It might be helpful to consider starting check-in earlier during busy times. The barbecue dinner on the terrace was fantastic. The staff were very kind to my grandchild, and my son’s family was deeply impressed. Breakfast was served in an expanded venue, allowing us to enjoy our meal without much waiting while admiring the stunning view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. We would love to stay again in the future. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Great location

    The location and lobby are good, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. I stayed in an Ocean View Twin Room on the 12th floor of the main building, but upon entering the room, there was a musty smell (like an old house), and I noticed that the air conditioner vent was black. There wasn’t even an air purifier available. Despite using deodorizing spray and fully opening the windows for ventilation, I felt uncomfortable with a partially stuffy nose throughout my stay. The air conditioner vents in the elevator hall of the lobby also need cleaning. Additionally, there were two strands of hair left in the bathtub of my room, which was disappointing to see. The spa tower in the new building might still be clean. The luxury spa was clean but located underground; it would have been nice to have an open-air bath that takes advantage of its location with a view. The beach is within walking distance, and it’s close to the station as well, so its location is excellent.

    Maiko Villa offers the best view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge!

    I revisited to check out the renewal of the new building. The night view of Akashi Kaikyo Bridge from the 8th-floor corner Room was breathtaking, but during summer, sunset was past 7 PM. Until then, the large setting sun's light reflected off the glass bathtub and sink near the window, making it too bright to keep curtains open—slightly disappointing. The Room was simple and spacious but not very accommodating for elderly guests with mobility issues due to its foreign-style interior and Facility design. The resting chair and table were small and placed in a cramped area, leaving only the large bed as a relaxing space. There were two steps between the bedroom and toilet/washbasin/bathtub area without handrails on walls; I stumbled during a midnight bathroom visit. Additionally, especially in the bathtub: shower height couldn't be adjusted or fixed up/down; towel racks were too high to reach; having a bath stool would have been helpful for washing; entering deep bathtubs required assistance due to lack of handrails; slippery surfaces made it hard to relax comfortably inside. Even wet towel hangers seemed inconveniently placed high on walls next to toilet doors... The public bath was nice but passing by newly built gym areas after bathing felt somewhat unsettling due its narrowness there. At night sounds like trains arriving at Maiko Station or machinery noises from underground persisted late into night causing fatigue despite tiredness already present earlier that day itself! While renovations improved some aspects overall (e.g., views), older window frames lacked proper sealing leading lower insulation levels than expected hence wrong choice selecting this particular Room type perhaps? Dinner served at Arisugawa restaurant fell short compared previous visits both taste-wise & content-wise though considering current inflationary trends understandable maybe still enjoyed pleasant moments thanks smiling staff providing excellent service throughout meal experience shared together!

    The view and the Room's bath were excellent.

    I decided to take a short trip nearby for a BBQ and overnight stay, and the weather on the day was perfect. The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge reflected in the sunset offered an incredible view. The spacious corner Room with a private bath provided a relaxing time with breathtaking scenery right in front of me. Although it was part of the old building, everything was kept clean, and I felt that Maiko Villa had improved since my last visit. The BBQ, which had just started its pre-opening from that day, seemed relatively unknown or perhaps people were avoiding the heat—it wasn’t crowded at all. This allowed us to enjoy it leisurely at our own pace. The wagyu beef, large prawns, and salad were all delicious. Even during such hot tropical nights, the cool sea breeze made dining on the BBQ terrace comfortable. I would love to visit again—thank you for your hospitality!

    Stayed with three generations: parent, child, and grandchild.

    I discovered the large public bath at check-in and thoroughly enjoyed stretching out and relaxing—absolutely wonderful! The breakfast buffet was excellent, featuring plenty of local dishes and ingredients. Although my stay was short, from the night of my mother-in-law's wake to the morning of her funeral, I was able to relax comfortably. I hope to stay longer next time and fully enjoy that amazing breakfast, as I didn’t have much appetite during this visit. As a resident of Tarumi Ward, I look forward to visiting again soon.     Mismatch

    After visiting SeaWorld, I was drawn to the Kobe Beef Set Meal in Key West and stayed here for the first time. However, as a regular guest of city hotels in Kobe, I couldn't shake off a sense of inconsistency and mismatch compared to other hotels in the same city. First, the grand hotel entrance was deserted with no staff in sight. My daughter remarked that it felt like a "Business Hotel." In the hallway near our room's entrance, there was an ironing board and iron inexplicably left out (this remained unchanged until we checked out). We booked a spacious Japanese-Western style room for five people, but it was quite dated. The base of the pillars was worn and dirty, the power for the bidet toilet seat wasn't turned on, and having to go all the way to the sink after using the toilet felt inconvenient—something I've never experienced in decades of hotel stays. The pathway leading to a new building with what they called a "Luxury Spa" bathhouse also felt deserted with hardly anyone passing through. It made me wonder if this impressive new building wasn’t being utilized much. The so-called "Luxury Spa" fell short of its name—I couldn’t see what made it luxurious at all. Additionally, while changing after bathing, two staff members entered abruptly without any greeting or notice (it seemed like part of employee training) and busily inspected supplies—a behavior unfamiliar at high-end Onsen Ryokan establishments that surprised me slightly (though they did say “Good evening” to guests who came after me). Lastly, during breakfast buffet service, I was surprised when instructed to drink soup using miso soup bowls instead of proper ones. Also concerning were tongs or spoons left dirty on plates without being replaced—something unimaginable at hotels I usually revisit where such utensils are frequently swapped out for clean ones. In conclusion: while I had hoped for an idyllic hotel stay amidst scenic beauty here—it ultimately left me feeling let down by an unshakable sense of disjointedness throughout my experience. On another note: The “Anago Rice” from their Kobe Beef Set Meal deserves praise—the eel was tenderly soft and absolutely exquisite!
