    This was my second stay. Recently I had been staying mostly at Hotels directly connected to Niigata Station or close to the station, but I made a Reservation this time because I wanted to enjoy this breakfast buffet again after a long time. I was a little disappointed that there were fewer varieties of branded rice than before, but everything paired perfectly with rice and was very delicious. With three kinds of yogurt and four kinds of fruit, it was a very satisfying breakfast. The Room was also very clean and comfortable. I would like to stay here again.

    The town is flooded.

    Due to torrential rain, public transportation in the city was unavailable and I had to walk from the station. Many roads were flooded, making it hard to find the Hotel, so I got a little lost. There were no towels prepared at the front desk, but the Facility was sufficient for drying wet items.

    My favorite artist held a concert at the Prefectural Civic Hall.

    It’s an older Hotel, but the staff’s warm smiles were very comforting. In the lobby, there were six kinds of sake as a welcome drink, which I enjoyed before the concert. The provided shampoo and toiletries had a scent that was too strong for me, so I used my own. Not only ANA-affiliated Hotels, but many Hotels with lots of international guests are similar, so I always bring my own shampoo—and this time it was the right choice. I was told it was about a 10-minute walk from the station, so after the concert I went to the station and then tried to walk from there, but it was a big mistake. I got lost and wandered around for about an hour. The Hotel also has a microwave, which was very helpful. I warmed up a bento I bought at the station and enjoyed it. I had breakfast here several years ago as well. There weren’t many items, but everything was delicious and I was very satisfied. I was especially happy to find my favorite French toast and soft-serve ice cream. All three smoothies were great too. The omelet station also had various sauces available. I left feeling completely full. If I have another opportunity, I would like to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Overall satisfaction is high, but there is a smell of cigarette smoke.

    All breakfast items are very delicious and highly satisfying. It was disappointing that the Room smelled of tobacco.

    I stayed here becaus...

    I stayed here because I had a concert at Toki Messe, and it was within walking distance. The front desk staff kindly gave me clear directions to the venue, which was very helpful. Also, the Room seemed newly renovated—it was very clean and spacious—so I was able to enjoy a truly relaxing stay. It’s conveniently located near the station and at a comfortable distance from Toki Messe as well. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Niigata.

    Delicious

    I stayed on a Plan with breakfast included. It was a buffet featuring local ingredients, and the bread in particular was delicious. This Hotel was very convenient for dining and shopping, with the Bandai and station-front areas within walking distance.

    We are extremely dissatisfied with the issue being treated lightly.

    As an ANA and IHG member, I chose this hotel for a safe and reliable stay. During my multiple night stay, I directly requested "no cleaning" at the front desk the day before and also hung the card on the doorknob when leaving. However, upon returning to my room, I found that the card had been moved inside, and the room's condition was different from how I left it. There were clear signs of entry. When checking with the front desk, they explained that there was a "date mix-up" or a "misunderstanding by cleaning staff," which led to them entering and partially starting cleaning. Fortunately, nothing was missing. However, despite clearly communicating no cleaning was needed, someone entered without permission. Additionally, this incident wasn't shared until we pointed it out ourselves—causing significant unease and discomfort. At checkout, there was a brief verbal apology but no detailed explanation of what happened or measures to prevent recurrence. While we refrained from requesting further action explicitly, there was no response from management either. Having stayed at various hotels domestically and internationally where requesting no cleaning is not uncommon—this is my first experience of unauthorized entry. Based on this incident's handling regarding privacy and security concerns—I regretfully feel unable to trust staying here again in the future.

    The location is excellent.

    Located within walking distance from Niigata Station, the location is excellent. The Room was clean and had a sense of cleanliness. However, I found the operation of the shower and faucet in the bathroom a bit confusing. The Wi-Fi connection needs improvement as it frequently disconnected shortly after connecting.

    I have stayed at the same Hotel in Hakata several times, and as always, the staff's service is excellent. Despite checking in during extreme heat, the process was smooth with no waiting time. The Room was impeccably clean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, making it very comfortable. It was also very convenient to check the dining area's crowd status via smartphone. This Hotel gives a relaxing impression, and I would love to stay here again. Thank you!

    Sorry if I misunderstood.

    The Room had bath towels and smaller-sized towels, but there were no hand towels. I feel like they used to be provided before. For breakfast, I had Sado Koshihikari rice. It seemed a bit watery to me. Overall, I am satisfied. The staff's service was very kind and attentive.

    Air Conditioning

    The heating was not functioning due to the air conditioning system, making the nights cold and uncomfortable. Initially, I was unsure about the air conditioning settings and repeatedly tried increasing the temperature to activate the heating. Although it briefly displayed as heating, it quickly switched to ventilation with only cool air coming out. Since the entire building's system could only be adjusted collectively, I was moved to a Room on the 15th floor where slightly warmer air was available. While I managed to sleep warmly there, I woke up sweating at 2:00 AM and had to turn on cooling instead. I appreciate everyone's efforts in providing attentive service; however, seasonal transitions seem challenging for such systems.

    I stayed for two nights this time and was extremely satisfied with everything. The breakfast, in particular, was outstanding—a buffet featuring a variety of delicious dishes made with local Niigata ingredients and cuisine. I especially enjoyed the Koshihikari rice from three different regions for comparison, along with an excellent selection of side dishes that perfectly complemented the rice. It truly allowed me to savor the exceptional quality of the rice. Having had breakfast at many hotels, this one ranks in my top three for both content and taste. The hotel's location is also excellent, being close to Toki Messe and Minatopia. It's even more convenient if you have a car. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful, making it a place I would love to visit again.

    A Hotel where you can stay with peace of mind.

    This is my third stay at this hotel. I have also stayed multiple times at four other hotels, including traditional and large-scale ones, but overall, considering the location as well, this hotel provides the highest level of satisfaction. The staff's attentiveness and service were excellent, making for a very pleasant stay.

    A Trip for Two with My Daughter

    I enjoyed my first trip to Niigata with my daughter. The cleanliness and tidiness of the Room exceeded the Reviews, which made us feel very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was more delicious and satisfying than expected. I wished I had two stomachs! (laughs) I thought I might not notice the differences in rice from various regions, but I could clearly taste each one’s unique flavor, and it was so delicious. My daughter and I even ranked our favorites while enjoying a leisurely breakfast. We were truly impressed by how tasty the rice was. The attentive service also left us feeling very satisfied. We would love to stay here again when we visit Niigata next time. Thank you very much!

    We stayed in a twin room and had a relaxing stay. We are grateful for the satisfactory service in other aspects as well. However, I would like to make one comment. On the evening of the first day, we tried to use a taxi to go out for dinner, but due to bad weather, there were no taxis in front of the hotel. A female staff member at the entrance immediately approached us and said, "There are no taxis available right now, so please go out to the main street and hail one." I then asked her, "Could you please call a taxi company?" Despite this request, it was not possible to arrange a taxi. She again said, "If you're in a hurry, please go out to the main street and hail one." At that moment, two taxis arrived at the hotel with other guests. I asked her if we could take one of those taxis and she replied: "Please ask the taxi driver yourself." In similar situations before at other accommodations or hotels I've stayed at multiple times before this experience—staff members have always made efforts such as calling for taxis or checking if any were nearby on their own initiative—but this time’s response surprised me greatly! Has there been some change regarding staff guidance policies?

    In one word, an excellent Hotel. The skills and personalities of all employees in every position are outstanding. Not only are the Facility and amenities impressive, but the parking and complimentary items are also greatly appreciated. I would love to stay here again if given the opportunity.

    Property Review

    I used it for a business trip. After check-in, I was escorted to the elevator, and I felt the high quality of service. Although it was the cheapest Plan stay, there was a Nespresso in the room which impressed me a bit. I was worried about not being used to the bed, but it fit me well and I was satisfied. For breakfast, I could try three types of Niigata rice, which truly felt local. Since I woke up late and didn't have much time to eat, my rating is 3. Next time, I'd like to use it for a leisurely trip.

    I thought it might be a bit expensive for a three-day weekend, but it can't be helped. However, not having an ice pail in the room is unacceptable. Paper cups? This is not a Business Hotel.

    About cost performance

    When I tried to check out at 5:30 AM to catch the first Shinkansen to Tokyo, I was surprised to find a clause about an increased room charge. After negotiating, I managed to avoid the extra charge. It was quite a surprise. The room rate was over 40,000 yen for one person without meals. I wouldn't recommend it for busy people.

    The hotel met my expectations.

    The location is a bit of a distance from Niigata Station if you're walking. It's definitely better to take a taxi. The staff are all kind and respond quickly. Since it's a slightly old hotel, it's understandable that the bath and toilet are together, but the cleaning is done well. The bar was quiet, and I enjoyed some good drinks. As for breakfast, the rice was indeed delicious (there were three types of white rice). Also, the grilled fish was tasty.
