    Comfortable breakfast

    The best feature of this Accommodation is, above all, the comfortable breakfast. In the spacious top-floor restaurant, you can relax and enjoy your meal without worrying about the distance to neighboring tables. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated, offering both Japanese and Western options, including local specialties such as Kiritanpo and iburigakko, as well as a live omelet station. The room was well-appointed with everything you need and very comfortable to stay in, and the air conditioning was pleasant. I would rate the bath 4/5 because there is no washing area. I will visit again.

    If I stay in Akita again, I’d like to stay here again.

    Meals are breakfast only. However, just as other Reviews said, there was a great selection of local Akita dishes I’d been wanting to try, and I was very satisfied. On top of that, the chefs behind the counter were incredibly friendly—sharing local stories and recommending the best ways to enjoy certain foods. Those small interactions felt really comfortable to me and were a big plus. When traveling, I like hearing and chatting a little with locals about the area. The Room faced east with a view of the station, and it was wonderful to catch the morning sun through gaps in the clouds. The in-room coffee selection included not only regular coffee but also decaf; for tea, there was regular tea as well as chamomile—such thoughtful attention to detail. It was my first time seeing decaf provided at a hotel. I also used the coworking space; it’s quiet and relaxing. Since it’s mainly set up with sofas, it seems best to work from your Room if you need a proper desk setup, but it’s a great place for a change of pace. In addition, there was a cocktail hour (I may have the name wrong) until around 7:30 PM, and everything was delicious. Very satisfying overall. If I stay in Akita again, this is my only choice.

    All staff members are wonderful at this Hotel.

    I stayed here on a business trip last November and was so comfortable that I made a Reservation again without hesitation. My expectations were quite high because my previous stay was exceptionally pleasant, but from the front desk staff at check-in to the attendants during breakfast, everyone’s hospitality was outstanding, and I once again had a truly enjoyable and comfortable stay. One thing I noticed at breakfast: it’s rare to find a buffet where staff make onigiri, and I think it’s a great offering. However, it may be easy for guests to miss that onigiri is available, so it might be worth promoting it more clearly. Lastly, thank you very much for upgrading me to an Executive Room this time. I really appreciated being able to warm up in the spacious bathroom after being out in the cold. The morning view from the Room was also wonderful. If I visit privately in the future, I would like to treat my family and stay in this Room.

    Is booking through IKYU.com the best option?

    Last time, I made a Reservation through the hotel website and was assigned a Room on the 10th floor. Previously, when I booked through IKYU, I stayed on the 11th floor. This time was the same. There were differences in the in-room amenities, and I preferred the 11th floor, so I’m considering booking through IKYU again in the future. The receptionist at the 6th-floor lounge was very courteous and attentive, which made my stay pleasant.

    Second Stay

    I previously had a great experience, so I stayed for 2 nights in a Club Room and added another night in a standard room with breakfast and dinner buffet, making it a total of 3 nights. The Club Lounge met my expectations and was worth the price. The sweets were especially delicious. In the evening, it's best to enjoy the atmosphere without expecting too much, which was perfect for me. I could even say that I travel all the way to Akita just to enjoy this time. The reception staff were attentive to details and provided excellent service. I used the gym every day but have one request: one of the treadmills was broken, and one bike couldn't adjust resistance, leaving only one functional bike for cardio exercise. I hope these will be fixed by my next visit. Looking forward to returning again with high expectations!

    There is no parking,...

    There is no parking, which is understandable, but it would be nice to have parking discount tickets available. Additionally, I received water at the front desk, but it was handed over all at once for the number of people and was heavy. The Room phone was also broken. Overall, the service and Facility aspects were disappointing.

    Head to Teppanyaki from the Club Lounge!

    The club lounge had decent quality drinks, and the salad was good. After sampling Japanese sake in the lounge, we headed to Teppanyaki (Sora). We added abalone to the "Take" course of Matsutake Bamboo, which offered great value for money. The Room was quite standard and satisfactory.

    A comfortable Hotel.

    Stayed one night in a twin Club Room on the 10th floor. The room, including the bathroom and toilet, was clean and comfortable. The only issue was that the refrigerator occasionally made loud noises. Breakfast at the restaurant on the 12th floor was delicious, but having a standout signature dish unique to this restaurant would enhance the experience even more. Looking forward to staying again next time!

    Purpose of Visiting Akita

    I booked this Club Room early because I liked it. The sweets, alcohol, and snacks in the Club Room were delicious, and I had a satisfying stay as expected. The breakfast at the buffet restaurant had a great view and was very pleasant. Having a gym is also a nice point, and I thought it would be great to stay long-term and work out there every day. The room was clean, and the linens were comfortable; however, there is a step from the room to the unit bathroom that might be concerning for elderly guests. Additionally, it would be nice to have discount information for affiliated spa services even if they are not within the Hotel itself.

    The hotel is conveni...

    The hotel is conveniently located near the station and close to the downtown area. The Facility is modern. The staff are all friendly and provide service with a smile. The meals are decent, but the Kiritanpo was delicious. It’s a hotel I might consider staying at again when visiting Akita.

    Please consider the value of an alternative Plan.

    Only one setting was prepared at mealtime, despite being for two people. When I asked if the two servings of local sake included in the Plan could be poured for one person since the other does not drink, I was told it was possible. However, when I questioned whether the small amount poured was indeed two servings, I was informed it was only one serving. I ordered a soft drink intending to pay extra but was told it would replace the local sake and no additional charge would apply. It felt unreasonable that three cups of local sake were considered equivalent to one soft drink, and communication seemed difficult, so I gave up pursuing further clarification. In hindsight, perhaps ordering a soft drink after receiving both servings of local sake might have been better—this thought lingered with me. Everything else about my stay was excellent except for this dinner experience, which left me very disappointed.

    The noise on the 12th floor is too loud.

    I wish I had read the low reviews before using this accommodation. I was assigned to the 11th floor, but the noise from what seemed to be a restaurant on the 12th floor was truly unbearably loud. At first, I thought it might be cleaning or some construction work after checking in, but at night and even early the next morning, there were loud crashing sounds as if something was being dropped, flowing water noises, and banging sounds—it was overwhelming. The room itself was clean; however, for some reason, only "body soap" and "shampoo" were provided as club floor-exclusive amenities. Does this mean we are supposed to use the conditioner from the installed bottle? The response of the female staff at check-in was also poor. They didn’t inform me where my checked luggage had been placed until I asked them myself. It’s been a while since I encountered such unfriendly front desk staff (though the club lounge staff were slightly better). I am a fan of ANA Crowne Plaza Hotels and have used them several times in other prefectures; however, considering that this is almost in the same price range as their wonderful Hiroshima location, this experience felt disappointing. On a positive note, during cocktail time there were eight types of sake available with a lineup perfect for early summer. This is one of my main reasons for wanting to return here again—but please do something about that noise on the 12th floor! Are guests who are not staying in Executive Twin/Royal Suite rooms on higher floors expected to endure such noise? It’s truly unfortunate.

    Stay here when visiting Akita.

    The staff were all pleasant, making the stay very comfortable. Although the lounge was small, it was more than satisfactory. The selection of sake and the chilled beer glasses were impressive. Having fresh vegetables as snacks was also a nice touch. For this price, I think it's an excellent value for money. I truly appreciated the efforts of the Hotel. Thank you very much!

    The only club floor in Tohoku

    This was my first visit to Akita, and I stayed at the only hotel in Tohoku with a club floor. Honestly, it would have been nice to have more dessert and drink options, but considering the cost-performance ratio, it was sufficient. I think raising the price slightly for club floor users and enhancing the offerings would make it even better. For breakfast, I used both the club floor and a separate breakfast venue. The additional 1,500 yen for breakfast was appreciated. There was also a rice tasting experience, which is especially valuable during this time of rice shortages—it was incredibly delicious! The club floor felt like a compact version of the main breakfast venue but still very adequate. They also had rice tasting here as well. Personally, I loved having corn soup in the morning—it made me happy and tasted great! It was my first time trying "iburigakko," which paired perfectly with rice. Having local specialties available is such a nice touch. The location is excellent—close to the station with a convenience store right in front of it. Although I came for work, I felt like I got to enjoy some travel vibes too. I'd love to come back again!

    Exclusive Club Lounge

    I stayed at this accommodation during my trip after hearing it features the first club lounge in Akita. First of all, the accessibility is outstanding! It is adjacent to Akita Station and within walking distance of major city attractions, making it an excellent location. The club lounge, though compact and without a view, offers a carefully curated menu as rumored. During cocktail time, there was a wide selection of premium sake fitting for the lounge atmosphere, along with an array of light snacks. I was able to fully enjoy the essence of Akita. For breakfast, I dined at the shared restaurant on the top floor. The experience included fun activities like comparing different types of Akita Komachi rice varieties. This accommodation is undoubtedly highly recommended for your travels!

    Close to the station

    You can reach the station via Seibu without getting wet in the rain. The location is very convenient, being extremely close and with plenty of dinner options nearby. The variety and quality of Japanese sake in the club room were better compared to other club rooms. It was unfortunate that club room guests could not have breakfast on the 12th floor.

    Akita's First Club Lounge

    This was my first visit to Akita City, although I have a personal connection to the Akita area. Being near the station, it was a bit disappointing that the Hotel did not have its own parking lot, but there was an affordable public parking facility nearby, which was convenient. However, finding the Hotel entrance was slightly challenging. When I asked about the location of the club lounge at the Hotel front desk, I only received a brief response: "It's on the 6th floor." It didn’t feel like typical front desk service from this same Hotel. Nevertheless, I headed to the 6th-floor club lounge with renewed spirits. I enjoyed tea time upon arrival and relaxed before indulging in cocktail service starting at 5:30 PM. The salad and snacks were delightful alongside beer and delicious Akita sake. Although I didn’t have high expectations for breakfast, it turned out to be very satisfying despite having fewer options; everything tasted great! The Japanese dishes were especially delicious—Akita Komachi rice stood out as exceptionally tasty. The Room we stayed in was a standard twin but clean and comfortable overall. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

    Club Room?

    [Club Room Plan] [Room Type Assigned by Hotel] Club Room × 1 room Reserved the day before the stay. Upon arriving at the hotel and providing my reservation name at the front desk, I was checked in at the regular first-floor reception. The explanation about the club lounge was just a single piece of paper. Although my room was on an upper floor, it lacked features and services listed as exclusive to club rooms during booking: - Coffee maker - Bathrobe - Club room-exclusive bath amenities - One complimentary bottle of mineral water per guest The club lounge required providing a room number to staff for entry, unlike other hotels where access is granted only with a club floor key card. This made me question whether my room was truly a club room or not. There were no instructions for check-out either, so I simply checked out at the first-floor reception as usual. The staff were very pleasant, and considering how affordable it was, I didn’t want to ruin anyone’s mood by pointing these things out and left without saying anything. If I had booked a standard room instead of expecting a club room experience, I wouldn’t have felt this way... It left me feeling slightly disappointed overall.

    Overall, it was not bad, but the bathroom ventilation fan seemed to be broken, resulting in high humidity after taking a shower. This caused a musty smell in the bathroom. The customer service was excellent. I will consider staying here again when I visit Akita.

    Great Hotel.

    Great Hotel. The cleaning was thorough, and the Room was spacious and comfortable. The female staff member who assisted us upon arrival was very kind, which we greatly appreciated. Since we stayed in a Room with lounge access, we made full use of it and were especially surprised by the variety of sake during cocktail time. There were plenty of light snacks available, so we ended up quite full and couldn't finish our meal at the Inaniwa Udon specialty restaurant for dinner. If given the chance, I would love to visit this Hotel again!

    It was a wonderful wedding anniversary.

    A trip to Akita after 40 years, combining a visit to the family grave and our wedding anniversary. We had made a dinner reservation at Sora Sakura in advance, and were pleasantly surprised to find that they had prepared a private room for us. The dishes served were exactly as requested, featuring an abundance of Akita's local ingredients—a true feast for both the eyes and palate. The staff's thoughtful attention to detail was also greatly appreciated. The room was not very spacious but clean, and since it was on the club floor, we enjoyed a relaxing breakfast in the lounge. However, one slight disappointment was the bathroom. It felt cramped with no place to set clothes aside while changing. Most concerningly, there were no handrails inside the bathtub, making it slippery and difficult to stand up safely—a bit frightening at times. That said, it's rare to have such an enjoyable stay at this price point. If I visit Akita again in the future, I will definitely choose this place once more. Thank you very much!

    Multiple Night Stay

    Very clean and the breakfast was delicious (chose ANA because of the great breakfast), which was nice. However, it would have been better if there was water service provided during a Multiple Night Stay. The staff's service was excellent, and I had a pleasant stay. I would like to stay at an ANA accommodation again.

    The rice was exceptionally delicious.

    Overall, it was excellent. The Room felt spacious and clean. The TV remote had a disposable cover, which I thought was an impressive touch for hygiene. During the lounge's cocktail time, warm dishes were served alongside a selection of sake for tasting, making it hard to stop at just "a light drink before dinner." The wooden benches and walls in the lounge area also had a charming Akita-style design. At the breakfast buffet, while the Kiritanpo hot pot and Inaniwa udon were delightful, what stood out most was the rice—it was incredibly delicious. Guests could compare different types of rice; on this day, there were two varieties of Akita Komachi from different regions within Akita Prefecture. I could clearly taste the difference and particularly loved the one from Yokote City. Even though it wasn’t new harvest season (it was April), the rice cooked in Hotel’s large cooker left such an impression that it ranked among my top 1 or 2 best-tasting experiences ever! Perhaps their washing technique or water ratio is exceptional as well. Although I regularly order Akita Komachi to enjoy at home, this tasted entirely different—like another level altogether! It made me wonder if growing up with such delicious rice would have shaped my overall food preferences differently... Additionally, fresh long green onions used as ingredients or condiments were remarkable too—worth mentioning! Normally at buffets, chopped green onions don’t seem domestic nor appealing enough to eat; however, here they were truly enjoyable. The location is convenient as well—I’d love to stay again when visiting Akita Prefecture!

    A Dreamlike Experience

    We stayed in a spacious Room on the top floor with a great view, accommodating four people including an elderly parent with limited mobility. We enjoyed a delightful tea time with a variety of sweets at the lounge, followed by an exquisite Chinese dinner at Karin on the first floor. The fitness gym and direct access to the department store made our stay enjoyable even on rainy days. Thank you to all the staff!

    It was comfortable as always.

    I stayed for one night. Although I booked a single, I was provided with a twin Room, which was very generous. I had a very comfortable stay. However, it was a bit disappointing that the bath salts previously included in the amenities were no longer available. The breakfast offered a wide variety and was delicious. The rice tasting experience is quite unique and highly appreciated. I heard there is now a teppanyaki restaurant; I look forward to trying it next time!
