    Quiet and relaxing—perfect for a restful stay.

    This is my second stay. The Facilities are just right—everything I need—so it’s perfect for taking care of my errands and then relaxing. Breakfast was delicious, with Sendai specialties such as sasa-kamaboko, tofu, and vegetables. I’d love to stay here again the next time I visit Sendai.

    Sendai Trip

    On our trip to Sendai, our family of five stayed here for the first time. There are two Rooms, but they are connected, which was very convenient—and spacious! The staff’s hospitality was excellent, and it was so good that we definitely want to stay again when we come back to Sendai. The free shuttle bus to Sendai Station was also great. Thank you very much!

    My Favorite Hotel

    I stayed here again for the first time in a year. The Terrace Suite I had been wanting to try was wonderful, with a spacious layout and separate living and sleeping areas. However, several of the cushions on the sofa had an unpleasant odor, so I couldn’t really sit there. Also, it would be helpful if the Room’s teacups were a bit larger, as that would make it easier to brew drip coffee. Other than that, the bathroom and bedroom were relaxing spaces where I could unwind at ease. The breakfast was delicious last year, and I was very satisfied again this year. I’d love to visit again for a refresh.

    A Hotel offering warm hospitality, nestled in the forests of the City of Trees

    The Room was very spacious, and the garden view from the window was truly beautiful—it helped us unwind the moment we arrived. It was a highly satisfying stay where all three generations could genuinely say, “We’re so glad we stayed here.” In the evening, there was a free stargazing session, and a staff member explained everything about the stars with great care. There were also small children participating, and I think it would be perfect for summer vacation school projects. What especially stayed with me was when they shared that the light from Vega left about 25 years ago, and then asked, “What were you doing on this day 25 years ago?” As we looked up at the night sky, it also became a moment to quietly reflect on my own past. Their thoughtful choice of words felt like warm hospitality worthy of a Hotel. The next morning, I enjoyed morning yoga in the garden with my daughter. Moving our bodies surrounded by greenery felt wonderful and became a great travel memory. After that, we had breakfast in the garden and spent a relaxed morning. Some guests brought the picnic boxes prepared by the Hotel, spread out leisure sheets, and enjoyed breakfast outdoors—the entire garden felt calm and full of happiness. Sendai is known as “the City of Trees,” but until now I had mostly visited around Sendai Station or Matsushima. This time, I felt like I experienced “Sendai’s forest” in its true sense for the first time. From the spacious Room and beautiful garden to experiences like stargazing and morning yoga—and even to every warm word from the staff—our whole three-generation family was completely satisfied. It’s a Hotel I’d love to visit again in another season.

    Having trouble getting here from the parking lot?

    Free parking was appreciated, but I wished the Facility had an elevator. When I was wondering what to do with my heavy suitcase, a porter ran down the stairs to help even though I checked in after 10:00 p.m., which was a relief. The garden-view Room was wonderful. One relative suddenly decided to stay with us, and after I explained the situation, you kindly arranged nearby Rooms for us together. Because of the typhoon, we couldn’t fully enjoy the beautiful view as expected, but everyone’s warm hospitality made me want to visit again. Next time, I’d like to take a walk in the garden and also visit the neighboring Facility. If I may add one small request, I would have liked a bit more meat and desserts at the breakfast buffet. Thank you sincerely for your heartfelt hospitality.

    The service was heartfelt and attentive.

    I chose this Hotel I had long admired for my first trip to Tohoku. With a stadium live show and my first reunion with friends in 15 years, it became a truly wonderful set of memories. The staff’s warm, attentive service left a lasting impression, and everything was delicious—the breakfast, lunch buffet, Chinese cuisine, and afternoon tea. The breakfast in particular featured carefully selected dishes using Miyagi specialties, giving me energy from the very start of the day. The building is certainly old, but it has the stately feel of a European mansion and offers a chic, relaxing atmosphere. Because it is away from the city center, I was able to unwind and refresh while being soothed by lush greenery, clear air, and birdsong!

    A Hidden Retreat in the City of Trees

    It is a very beautiful Hotel. The view from the balcony, the grounds, the Room space, and the staff—everything is wonderful. The bathtub is also spacious and very relaxing, but having a handrail where you step over would help reduce concerns about slipping.

    Not suitable for a suite!

    Overall, it feels outdated, and guests have to fill the humidifier with water themselves! There’s nothing in the refrigerator! There’s no shower cap!

    Highly satisfying guest room space

    I stayed for one night and two days. The Room is not large, but the furniture layout is well thought out, so I was able to stay comfortably. That said, the TV was small and placed inside a storage unit; I think it would have felt cleaner and more spacious if a larger TV were wall-mounted with storage furniture below it. The bed firmness was just right, and I slept very well. The soundproofing was excellent, and the calm interior made for a comfortable stay. With breakfast buffet included for two guests at this price, it was a very good value Hotel.

    Calm and comfortable atmosphere

    Stayed one night in the Junior Suite Twin. The room had a calm European-style ambiance, making it a very comfortable stay. The next morning, it snowed, and the snowy garden view was stunning and unforgettable. The coffee service in the lounge was much appreciated, and the staff's courteous demeanor added to the experience. As an EV user, having access to a Tesla charger was incredibly convenient. Would love to visit again if given the chance!

    Highly recommended!

    From check-in to check-out, everything was comfortable. The room was clean and well-maintained, with no complaints about the amenities, humidifying air purifier, hair dryer power, or water pressure in the bathroom. It was a pleasant one-night stay. At night, we enjoyed taking photos in the beautifully lit garden and admired the lovely Christmas tree in the lobby. We chose an accommodation plan with breakfast included. For dinner, there is an outlet mall right next door where you can dine conveniently. The hotel's breakfast offered both Japanese and Western options that were delicious with plenty of variety—truly satisfying! It was a wonderful hotel that I would love to stay at again!

    The facilities, services, and meals did not match the price.

    The paid lounge served cookies that were close to their expiration date and had an oily taste. The cups provided were also plastic. The Room creaked when walking, showing signs of aging. While the Facility is impressive, it gave the impression that maintenance was not adequately performed. Breakfast was average for a city Hotel.

    Feel the elegance

    During my journey, I stayed for one night and realized it was the day of the Tanabata Festival. The Hotel staff at the lobby lounge kindly provided me with various information, allowing me to fully enjoy Sendai! The atmosphere in the lounge was very elegant, and the honey tea was absolutely delicious. Thank you very much!

    A Relaxing Regular Accommodation in Sendai

    Since its opening 30 years ago, I have been visiting every year. The front desk greets you with "Welcome back" and sends you off with "Have a good day." This time, it was busy due to summer vacation and inbound travelers, but breakfast was served without any waiting, allowing for a relaxed meal. You can also enjoy dining in the garden. Surrounded by lush greenery, early morning walks are delightful.

    Roipa is amazing.

    Upgraded to a paid Garden-Side Luxury Room, the view was excellent, the room was spacious and luxurious, with an ice bucket provided. As always, it truly lives up to expectations. Undoubtedly the best in Sendai.

    30th Anniversary Plan

    As locals, we rarely had the opportunity to stay, but we decided to try the 30th Anniversary Plan for the first time as a couple. The shuttle bus from Sendai Station was very convenient. The building is grand and luxurious, with vibrant greenery in the garden that was truly stunning. The interior features elegant European-style decor that feels like a photo spot everywhere you look. Our spacious room with a terrace included lanterns and candles, showcasing the unique character of the Hotel. The shower booth in the bathroom was very practical and easy to use. At the breakfast buffet, the white rice was exceptionally delicious—impressive considering rising rice prices—it’s clear they use high-quality grains. Every dish was delightful. We also enjoyed a lunch course at "Keikaen," a popular local Chinese restaurant. The dishes were served at just the right temperature with delicate seasoning—highly recommended! Overall, it was an incredibly refreshing and comfortable trip. Looking forward to more wonderful Plans!

    It was slightly different from the last time I used it.

    We usually enjoy Chinese cuisine for dinner. This time, we ordered à la carte dishes, which were very delicious and generously portioned, leaving us highly satisfied. The staff kindly and patiently answered questions from elderly guests. Although we skipped coffee time at the lounge, we were able to relax comfortably in our Room.

    Wi-Fi issues are critical.

    I have used this place multiple times, but during this stay, the Wi-Fi did not work at all. Even after staff assistance, it remained unstable, which was very stressful. We stayed for 2 nights as a group of 3, but the lack of spare keys was inconvenient. Please consider providing card keys for each guest or at least a spare key. The taste of the teppanyaki at the restaurant was absolutely amazing, and I would love to visit again!

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    It's like a vacation home.

    The good thing about Roipa is that the building and Room do not feel old. The garden is beautifully lit up even in winter. The staff have good manners. Overall, it is elegant and comfortable. It is not as expensive as foreign-owned hotels. Free drinks at dinner.

    Relaxed Stay

    The Hotel, lavishly adorned with marble, offered great value for money. Additionally, it was adjacent to outlets, and the scenery combined with the autumn leaves was magnificent. It was very convenient, being just an hour by expressway to the World Heritage Site Hiraizumi and 30 minutes to Matsushima. The meals were enjoyed in an atmospheric restaurant, with delicious French and Chinese cuisine. The free flow allowed us to enjoy a variety of drinks, which was very satisfying. Both the rooms and the lobby of the Hotel were clean, and the service was kind and courteous. Thank you for your hospitality.

    The air and the Room are extremely comfortable.

    I arrived earlier than planned, but was warmly welcomed and offered a more spacious luxury Room instead of a standard one, which was very comfortable. The garden illumination and outlet introduction and guidance were kindly provided, making it a memorable stay at the Hotel. It became a very good memory of the Hotel. Thank you for taking care of me.
