    A wonderful Hotel just as described in the Review! Highly recommended for families.

    Although it’s a bit far from Shimoda Station, they offer not only a Shuttle Service from the station but also a Shuttle Service to Sotoura Beach. If you plan to relax nearby, you won’t feel inconvenienced at all even without renting a car. There is a complimentary drink bar inside the property, and it was great that we could even enjoy beer and highballs. The pool is also available, and all the staff were very kind and helpful. What stood out most was the excellent service for children. They handed out “Rock-Paper-Scissors Rally Cards,” and if kids won three times against staff members, they received fireworks. At night, we used them to have fun on the beach, and our child was absolutely delighted. Just as the Reviews we checked in advance said, this really is a wonderful Hotel. If we have another chance to visit Shimoda, we would definitely stay here again.

    Thank you for accommodating my Multiple Night Stay on short notice.

    Due to the typhoon, the trains were suspended, so we had to extend our stay for a Multiple Night Stay. Even in the typhoon, you kindly drove us to a restaurant and took great care of us—thank you very much. The Room and the entire property were also kept very clean, which made our stay comfortable. Thank you. We will definitely stay again.

    This is a Hotel I would definitely like to visit again.

    All the staff were very pleasant, and it felt like they welcomed us with genuine warmth rather than a scripted approach. They also kindly accommodated our last-minute changes to the Shuttle Service schedule, which was a big help. The building didn’t seem particularly new, but everything was well maintained, clean, and comfortable. The Room was much more spacious than expected, and the view was wonderful—we had a very relaxing stay. The meals were all delicious and very filling. We were also impressed by the complimentary drinks in the lobby. Thanks to you, we had a great trip. Thank you very much.

    This was my first st...

    This was my first stay. The building is old, but it is well cleaned and kept very tidy. The view from the Room is great, with a clear view of the ocean and the park. Since it is away from the park, it is quiet. In the morning, we saw many people walking their dogs in the park, which was soothing to watch from our Room. The ocean-side bath has a sauna, and the mountain-side bath has an open-air bath. We stayed during a holiday period, but the baths were not crowded, so we could relax at our own pace. After check-in, there was a drink bar service that included alcohol, which made my husband very happy. The meals were delicious as well. The simmered golden eye snapper was especially well seasoned. Everyone at the Hotel was kind, and I would like to stay again when visiting Shimoda.

    All staff were very kind. From check-in to the tour of the facilities, meal explanations, and the Shuttle Service, everyone was extremely helpful, and we were able to spend our time comfortably. Thank you.

    It was a very pleasant stay.

    A few days before the three-day weekend, I was searching for various accommodations and decided to make a reservation as there were only a few rooms left due to the reasonable price and good reviews. First, the disappointing part: since I often use super sento or day-use onsen facilities, the onsen at Bay Kuroshio felt more like a large bath without much entertainment value. The sea-view bath offers an amazing view during daylight hours. The mountain-side onsen has a small changing room but features an open-air bath. For meals, we chose a plan that allowed us to dine in our room, which was quite unique. Since our child is in kindergarten, being able to eat freely while moving around in the room was very convenient. The food was absolutely satisfying. A luxurious meal featuring spiny lobster, abalone grilled on ceramic plates, and simmered alfonsino as main dishes. My wife couldn’t finish her portion, so I ate it and ended up completely full. The sakura shrimp mixed rice was also incredibly delicious. The room was more spacious than expected with an excellent view of Shimoda Bay. As it was an autumn trip, our child only played by touching seawater at the beach park in front of the hotel; however, we wondered if swimming might be possible during summer. Fresh air, great views, stylish and clean Japanese-modern rooms—it all made for a refreshing stay!

    The staff are absolutely wonderful!

    We stayed as a family of three with our 2-year-old son. The staff were incredibly kind, and we are so grateful for their warm hospitality. Although we were exhausted from our first trip to the beach, the Shuttle Service made it easy for us to enjoy our trip with minimal stress. Here are some recommended features: - They provide various equipment for children, making it very kid-friendly. - Dinner was luxurious and delicious. Breakfast was simple with fewer options but still satisfying. - The pool was great! Even after checking out and returning from the beach, they kindly let us use the changing rooms. - The Shuttle Service was flexible and accommodating, so having no car wasn’t an issue at all. - The bathroom was clean and spacious, featuring both open-air baths and indoor baths on a gender-swapping schedule. - The Room exceeded expectations—it was much larger, cleaner, and more beautiful than what we saw in photos online. - The staff were outstanding—this is truly a first-class Hotel!

    It is a good Hotel.

    This was my first time using this service. The atmosphere of the Hotel and Room was great, and the view from the Room was amazing. My wife was very pleased as well. Personally, I felt that the public bath was a bit small. I will make a Reservation again when traveling to Shimoda.

    A cozy and relaxing Hotel

    Both interior and exterior are clean. Compact design makes it easy to move around. The dining area and large public bath are also well-maintained. Meals are delicious. Located at the southern tip of the Izu Peninsula, Shimoda offers a unique atmosphere, perfect for a refreshing getaway.

    Great view, delicious cuisine, and excellent service accommodation.

    We had a wonderful stay as a couple. We chose this hotel because it was introduced as an accommodation boasting stunning views of Shimoda Port. Upon staying, we were impressed not only by the breathtaking view but also by the food and hospitality. For dinner, we opted for a quality-over-quantity plan, which was perfect for us in our 60s with smaller appetites. The luxurious menu included spiny lobster, abalone, and golden eye snapper. The simmered golden eye snapper was especially exquisite. The breakfast buffet offered delicious dishes across the board, and we were thrilled to enjoy spiny lobster miso soup. What stood out most about this accommodation was the exceptional hospitality. From the shuttle service driver to the dining staff, front desk team, and cleaning crew—every staff member left a positive impression with their warm demeanor and unified approach to service. This kind of family-like atmosphere feels rare these days. With its excellent value for money and fulfilling experience overall, we would love to stay here again if we have another chance to visit Shimoda!

    As a Hotel for Kawazu Sakura sightseeing

    I stayed here for a 2-night, 3-day trip to Izu. It is about a 20-minute walk from Shimoda Station, making it an ideal location for using the Izukyu Line for trips to Kawazu and Atami on the second day. The room was a Japanese-style modern space with exposed concrete accents and offered an excellent view of Shimoda Bay, providing a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The public bath was on the smaller side, but there was also an open-air bath facing Kawazu cherry blossoms (though access alternates between mountain and sea views), which was clean and allowed me to unwind comfortably. Meals were mainly Japanese cuisine served in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, which were delicious. However, on the third morning, there were many processed fish products in the breakfast selection that I found slightly unappealing; I wished there had been bread as an alternative to Japanese-style dishes. The slope from the main road up to the hotel entrance is short but quite steep, which can be tiring after walking around all day. The staff provided excellent service overall, adding another great accommodation option for future trips to Izu!

    The staff's service ...

    The staff's service and attentiveness were excellent. We only had breakfast, but it might have been a bit disappointing for elementary school-aged children. Other than that, it was a very pleasant and comfortable Hotel.

    It exceeded expectations.

    I had known about it for a long time, so I expected a facility matching the price, but I was surprised by how spacious and very clean it was. The service, Onsen, and food were all excellent. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.
