    Your First Mount Fuji Experience

    I stayed in a Room with a view of Mt. Fuji. The weather wasn’t very good, so I was nervous about whether I’d be able to see it, but I was able to enjoy a clear view of Mt. Fuji. The Room was spacious and very relaxing. Thank you. Regarding the Room amenities, I forgot my cleansing product and asked the front desk, but they told me they didn’t know because there were no female staff on duty at the moment. I think female staff support is necessary at the front desk. A group of guests from the Eurozone seemed to have trouble using the lockers in the large public bath, so I felt that guidance is needed—just like the instructions on how to use the bath facilities.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    I stayed here after climbing Mt. Fuji. I was able to relax in a Japanese-style Room. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of both Japanese and Western dishes, and everything was delicious. I especially liked having an omelet made right in front of me. Parking is free, and check-out is at 11:00, so I’d like to stay again if I have the chance.

    As the Hotel’s name suggests, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji!

    I’m glad I chose a Room with a view of Mt. Fuji. The weather was great and there were still some cherry blossoms, so I kept admiring Mt. Fuji from the window the whole time. The hospitality was excellent, and I was very satisfied. It would have been even better if there had been individually packaged skincare items such as lotion, but it was an Accommodation that made me want to return again.

    The view is spectacular.

    We enjoyed a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji. Despite the high price, dinner was quite disappointing. The ingredients and flavors were poor, and the mixed rice was soggy, so we left a lot of it. The breakfast buffet was about the same level as an ordinary Business Hotel. The Room itself was average, but the view is outstanding. I think that alone makes it worth returning. Next time, I would choose a Plan with breakfast only and would consider staying again.

    Mount Fuji, Cherry Blossoms, and Warm Hospitality from Our Staff

    It was a birthday trip to celebrate my friend. The cherry blossoms on the grounds were in full bloom, and the garden was beautifully maintained. Above all, the staff’s attentiveness was wonderful. We stayed in a Room on the Mt. Fuji side, and we were blessed with great weather, making it a truly happy trip. I would love to stay at Fuji View Hotel again.

    Relax and fully enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji

    We stayed as a family of three. At check-in, we were able to enjoy delicious self-serve coffee. The view of Mt. Fuji from our 4th-floor room was spectacular, and we could watch Mt. Fuji glowing red in the morning sun for a long time. The French dinner (Koshu beef) was also excellent, and the service was flawless. Breakfast was buffet-style, and they lent us a cart to carry trays for a member of our group with limited mobility, which was very helpful. The coffee could be taken out in paper cups, so we were able to return to our room and enjoy it at our leisure. The cherry blossoms in the garden seemed a little early for full bloom, but the weeping cherry trees were at their best.

    Everything was excellent!

    We stayed in March. We had made a Reservation the month before, but due to our child getting the flu we had to cancel the day before. Even so, the staff responded kindly. When we rebooked, they thoughtfully arranged connecting Rooms for our two groups, and provided attentive service throughout. Our Room had a wonderful front-facing view of Mt. Fuji, and the sunrise was beautiful—truly amazing! Every dish was delicious, and all staff were welcoming with great smiles. In particular, one staff member who assisted us was outstanding; her thoughtful and gentle service impressed even our child. Thanks to you, we had a wonderful time! The baths were excellent, the breakfast buffet was delicious, and even our morning walk nearby offered beautiful views of Mt. Fuji—it was an amazing Hotel. We would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much!

    Mount Fuji is the best.

    Depending on the weather, but this time we were lucky to have clear skies, and the view of Mt. Fuji from the Room was amazing.

    Mount Fuji

    We stayed in a Superior Japanese-style Room on the Mt. Fuji side during the New Year holidays. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a large window offering a direct view of Mt. Fuji, allowing us to enjoy a luxurious time. We also enjoyed special New Year activities such as Toshikoshi soba and calligraphy, which made the experience even better.

    Mount Fuji

    Overly friendly front desk, a Room with a scent resembling deodorizer, ordinary meals in a restaurant shared by both individual and group guests, and perks that are almost meaningless—this is part of the Fujiya Group but not quite Fujiya itself. However, when I opened the curtains in the morning, none of that mattered. Once again, I was completely satisfied with the magic of Mount Fuji.

    Excellent hospitality

    The service was attentive, and I truly felt the difference of a long-established Hotel. The garden was spacious with beautiful trees, which was wonderful! The open-air bath was pleasant; however, the floor seemed a bit slippery. Some improvements would make it safer to bring my parents along.

    Perhaps due to choosing Japanese cuisine, it felt slightly more expensive.

    Stayed for one night before an event. Room & Facility: The accommodation is old, though the bathroom in the room felt relatively new. Both the room and public bath were clean, which was appreciated. However, as a 4-star hotel (with varying standards), it felt below average. Amenities: Basic amenities are provided. Women may want to bring their own cosmetics. It was inconvenient to have to bring towels from the room to the bath; it would be better if towels were provided at the bath area since they are essential there. Service: The hotel staff were polite and efficient in their responses. Unlike some international hotels where everything is handled via tablets, I appreciated being assisted directly by staff members here. Dining: Dinner was Japanese cuisine, which might have been why it felt disappointing and overpriced compared to expectations. Reviews suggest that Western cuisine receives better feedback, so perhaps opting for their specialty Western dishes would have been a better choice (I chose Japanese as I had recently stayed at another inn serving French cuisine). Breakfast buffet offered a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese options with warm dishes available as well; overall satisfaction was high for breakfast. Other Notes: Most guests seemed to be foreigners during my stay—perhaps due to no particular seasonal attractions at that time or its proximity to Tokyo making this common? Pricing felt like it catered more towards USD rates overall given its cost level compared with services offered (I usually stay at accommodations priced around 50-70k JPY per person per night). While I wasn’t expecting equivalent service levels due to choosing a more affordable option this time, there was still an element of disappointment overall.

    The property appears to have been renovated, but the entrance feels plain, and the shop has a traditional atmosphere. A full renovation might be more suitable than just a remodel.

    The meals are excellent.

    Stayed with dinner and breakfast included. The French full-course meal showcased its impressive tradition, making it a delightful experience. However, the room's air conditioning was only in heating mode despite it being summer, causing discomfort at night. Other than that, everything was great.

    Room with a Stunning View of Mount Fuji

    The view of Mount Fuji from the Room was absolutely stunning. We were lucky to have such a clear day to enjoy it. It truly lived up to its name, "Fuji View." Dinner was kaiseki cuisine, beautifully presented and evoking a sense of the season.

    The staff provided excellent and flexible service, and the meals were absolutely delicious. Additionally, the unobstructed view of Mount Fuji from the Room's window was breathtaking. This Hotel is undoubtedly highly recommended.

    I brought my American friend's family.

    The room with a stunning view of Mount Fuji was a hit with my American friend's family. We enjoyed the view of Mount Fuji throughout our stay, and the beautiful sounds of cuckoos and warblers could be heard from the room, making it truly wonderful. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, and I especially appreciated the freshly made omelets. The Snow Skin amenities were excellent, and the bedding was so comfortable that I slept soundly. One point for improvement would be extending the water service beyond 4:30 PM. It would be great to enjoy Mount Fuji's natural spring water on the first-floor area from morning until night at this accommodation!

    The best view and hospitality.

    This was my first visit. I chose a Room on the Mount Fuji side of this Hotel to show my elderly mother the view of Mount Fuji. As shown in the photos, we had a breathtaking view of Mount Fuji right in front of us, which exceeded our expectations and left us deeply moved. My mother and I spent hours gazing at it together, creating truly happy moments. The Facility has an overall sense of age, but everything was impeccably clean, allowing for a very comfortable stay. The bath felt slightly small but was not crowded, making it a pleasant experience with excellent water quality. What stood out most was the exceptional hospitality from all Hotel staff (every single one!). Their thoughtful care made traveling with my elderly mother feel safe and reassuring. This has become one of the Hotels I would love to revisit.

    It was a truly moving experience.

    I reserved this hotel to take my parents to Mount Fuji. The service was excellent, the environment was beautiful, and the dinner was very delicious. What impressed me the most was when my father, who cannot eat raw food due to health reasons, was served sashimi. The staff kindly prepared a stone plate and butter so he could grill it himself. It was truly heartfelt hospitality. I would love to visit again with my parents this winter.

    Stay on 5/2 for one night

    The first day was heavy rain, but the next morning we enjoyed a breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji bathed in sunlight from our Room, creating a truly memorable experience. Both the meals and the bath were satisfying. As we got wet during our journey due to the rain, we requested an iron while traveling, and it was kindly prepared in our Room before check-in. For dinner, they willingly accommodated changes for ingredients we couldn't eat. Thank you for your kindness!

    Staying during the cherry blossom season.

    Every year during cherry blossom season, I stay at this accommodation while enjoying hanami around the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchi. The cherry blossoms in the hotel garden beautifully complement Mount Fuji, and the view from the window is truly stunning. The onsen public bath and guest rooms are consistently well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. I always enjoy local Yamanashi wine from the server and walks on the golf course. However, while having appetizers during a course meal, someone at a neighboring table was having a teppanyaki steak set meal, which significantly diminished my enjoyment due to the noise and smell. I may not opt for French dinner at this hotel next time. Please consider separating dining areas accordingly.

    I love this Hotel.

    This was my third stay. The previous two times, I stayed with my husband in a room with a semi-open-air bath, but this time I came with my daughter and three grandchildren. Since the semi-open-air bath rooms are limited to two guests, we reserved a spacious Japanese-Western style room. The children were thrilled by the size of the room. For dinner, adults enjoyed French cuisine while the children had Western-style plates. Everything was delicious! The children's plates were hearty and authentic as well. They kept saying "Delicious! Delicious!" and finished everything without leaving any leftovers. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of dishes that satisfied everyone. When our one-year-old accidentally dirtied the tablecloth, we apologized, but staff kindly responded with a smile saying, "It's okay; these things happen." A trainee who explained the French dishes to us had clearly studied well and left us impressed—it showed how thorough their training is. We also used the large public bath for the first time and found it clean and well-maintained for a pleasant experience. The water temperature and sauna were just right. Since it was rainy weather during our stay, they prepared a word search game for kids which kept our two elementary schoolers happily entertained. All staff members we encountered—including those at reception or in the gift shop—were very friendly and welcoming!

    A hidden gem of a long-established Hotel that I really don't want to share

    We stayed with two families, five people, in two rooms over the New Year holidays. The entire property has a traditional feel, but the water facilities such as the bath and toilet in the guest rooms have been renovated and are sparkling clean and barrier-free. The large public bath is also clean. The quality of the hot water is good, and my son, who had back pain, was pleased that he felt better after bathing. Fujiya Hotel is famous for its Western cuisine, so I was curious about the New Year's Eve Japanese meal plan, but everything was very delicious, and everyone was satisfied. The location right in front of Mount Fuji is stunning, and on New Year's Day, we were able to simultaneously view the first sunrise and the majestic sight of Mount Fuji gradually turning red as it was illuminated by the sun from the observation hall, which was moving. On the morning of New Year's Day, we were taken to a shrine for the first visit of the year by the hotel's shuttle bus, and as a Diamond member benefit, we borrowed badminton equipment and enjoyed ourselves 120% until the very last minute of checkout. Above all, the warm hospitality of the hotel staff was delightful. We will use it again.

    The view of Mt. Fuji...

    The view of Mt. Fuji and the meals were excellent! Although it was a room on the garden side, we could see Lake Kawaguchi, which was nice in its own way. It was our usual trip with our granddaughter (third grade) and us grandparents, and it became a good memory. It was a hotel we would like to visit again. However, we were in a hurry to check out and forgot the mobile phone charging cord...

    The quality did not match the price at all.

    Stayed during the best season for autumn leaves. The review was around 4.2, so I was looking forward to it, but I was very disappointed with the food and hospitality. First, the food. Dinner was French. The amuse mousse had a faint taste of the ingredients, but I didn't feel any umami. At this point, I had a bad feeling. Next was the marinated yellowtail. The yellowtail visibly lacked freshness. The vegetables weren't very fresh either. It was a marinade where only the bitterness of the grapefruit stood out. The pumpkin potage was ordinary, but the pan-fried sea bream was overcooked, and the pan-fried beef loin either used not-so-good meat or was also overcooked, resulting in a texture that tired my jaw. Additionally, a staff member stood near our table but never looked our way, didn't notice when we tried to order, ignored us even when we called out, and spoke in a mumble without a smile, making the service level terrible. I woke up around 2 a.m. and headed to the large bath, only to find a sign saying it was closed. I don't understand why they say it's closed when no staff is stationed there. The room had an aged feel in places, and the sofa had stains, so I had to lay a bath towel to sit on it. Overall, there was no satisfaction at all, and I thought it was a bubble to charge 90,000 yen per night for this. It was an experience that made me want to use hotels I have stayed at before for future trips.
