    Enjoy luxurious guest rooms and an Onsen experience.

    I stayed in a Room on the 5th floor, and it was disappointing to find several small insects in the Room. I understand this may be due to the nature-surrounded location, but since it was a higher floor, it felt somewhat unexpected. The Room itself had a luxurious feel and was a high-quality, relaxing space, which I really enjoyed. As for the wine and sparkling wine served in the lounge, considering the Accommodation’s atmosphere and price range, I feel that having slightly higher-quality options would have made the experience even more satisfying. I used one of the private baths that was recommended to me, and it was excellent. The corridor leading to the bath also had a charming ambiance, and I was able to enjoy the Accommodation’s atmosphere even during the walk there. Meals were served in a private dining room, allowing me to dine at a relaxed pace. In particular, the Saikyo-yaki at breakfast was delicious and left a strong impression. There were some minor points that concerned me, but overall my satisfaction with the Room, Onsen, and meals was very high, making this a memorable stay.

    A wonderful Accommodation you’ll want to return to

    My spouse and I stayed for one night and two days. We love traveling and usually stay at luxury hotels, and this Hotel was truly wonderful! We stayed in the Deluxe A type. The Room was very spacious and spotless. All minibar items (snacks, coffee, drinks in the refrigerator, etc.) were complimentary, and everything felt carefully selected with no compromises—really enjoyable. The best part was the in-room Onsen with an open view! Since our Room was on the first floor, there were no tall fences or glass panels, so all we could see was the forest scenery—it felt incredibly open. It was one of the best open-air bath experiences we’ve ever had. All staff members were kind and attentive, without the forced politeness or stiffness that can be common at Hotels. Thanks to that, we felt comfortable throughout our stay. We also used the private bath, which was great as well. It could be used contactlessly with a dedicated card key, cold water was prepared in the refrigerator, and there were coffee milk drinks and ice cream placed along the hallway—thoughtful services clearly designed with guests in mind. This time we made a Reservation for the shabu-shabu Plan, and we were surprised by how much food there was. We assumed it would be a simple course with a small appetizer plus shabu-shabu, but it turned out to be more like a full standard course meal with shabu-shabu served as the main. It felt like more than double a typical course portion size, so I recommend arriving very hungry. Breakfast—both Japanese-style and Western-style—was delicious, with plenty of variety and satisfying portions. One regret is that both dinner and breakfast were served in an inner private dining room, so we couldn’t enjoy any views while eating. Out of three parties who arrived around the same time as us, two were seated by windows while only we were guided to an inner private room—that was a bit disappointing. I understand window seats are limited so it may not be avoidable; still, if we have another chance next time I’d love to dine by the window. Overall, it was an amazing two days enjoying exceptional service and our in-room Onsen. We would definitely love to return!

    We would like the lounge amenities to be enhanced.

    The Facility and Room were clean, and we had a comfortable stay. As always, I wish the lounge were a bit better equipped. I’d also appreciate it if drinks could be replenished promptly when they run out. The private bath and large public bath were great. However, my husband said he would have liked razors to be available in the large public bath. Overall, we had a pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

    The lounge was disappointing.

    I have stayed here several times. The Facility is clean, and I can spend my time comfortably. I was also satisfied with the private bath and the large public bath (bring your own razor). The meal was good, especially the salt-grilled ayu. Otherwise, it felt average. The lounge is always disappointing. Since it is open until 10:00 p.m., I went 30 minutes before closing, but the drinks were already gone with no refills, and the ice had melted and was left as-is. Even though they call them “sweets,” it was somewhat underwhelming. If you call it a lounge, I would like it to be better stocked and more substantial. That kind of attention is part of good service. I hope for improvements. Overall, I was able to spend my time comfortably for the most part.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    I stayed with my elderly mother. Thank you for preparing a wheelchair and the bathroom, and for your courteous service. We were able to relax in our Room, and the view from the Room was pleasant. The dining staff were also very friendly. However, the meals we had looked and tasted average at both breakfast and dinner, despite our expectations. This is a Hotel we would like to use again.

    Evening cicada

    Listening to the evening cicadas, we were soothed in both body and mind by the open-air bath in our room and the private reservable bath. We are grateful for the courteous, attentive service provided by all the staff. We also thoroughly enjoyed the meals we shared with our family. Thank you very much.

    It was the best Accommodation.

    We stayed here during the Obon holiday. Check-in was from 15:00, but we arrived around 13:00. When we asked to check in early, they kindly agreed without hesitation. After checking in, we told the Ryokan staff that we were heading out to sightsee around Yumoto Station, and they offered to take us from the Ryokan to Yumoto Station with a free Shuttle Service—much appreciated! The Room size, Facility features, and amenities were all excellent. We used the bath in our Room twice (morning and night), and also enjoyed both the large public bath and a private bath—four baths in total. The meals were outstanding in both quantity and quality. From the front desk staff to everyone we passed in the hallways, their warm smiles made our stay truly comfortable. A calm, adults-only atmosphere—classic Ryokan style with a luxurious touch. We will definitely stay again when we visit Hakone.

    We had a great time!

    I made a Reservation to relax in Hakone with my mother after a long time. We stayed in a spacious Type B Room. A Shuttle Service is available from Hakone-Yumoto Station, and since the Ryokan is away from town, it was very quiet and peaceful. The views from the Room and from our window-side seats at breakfast were wonderful. The meals were thoughtfully prepared, and we enjoyed them throughout our stay. This is a Ryokan I’d like to visit in every season.

    Everything was satisfactory.

    Soon after we arrived, my wife lost consciousness due to heatstroke, and I considered going straight home. However, the front desk staff carried her to safety and cooled her with ice; she regained consciousness, and thanks to everyone’s help—despite the great trouble we caused—we were able to stay overnight without incident. Even so, we left without properly thanking you, which weighs on me. We would very much like to stay again, and next time I will make sure our car is in good condition so we do not cause any inconvenience. Everyone’s service was outstanding, as were the bedroom, the in-Room bath, and the meals. It was disappointing that in this situation we couldn’t use the large public bath or the cold spring; although we were a nuisance as described above, I hope to enjoy them on our next stay.

    Hatsuhana was wonderful.

    We visited on the recommendation of my sister-in-law and her husband. The food was just as the Reviews said—absolutely delicious. The abalone steak at dinner, in particular, was outstanding in both seasoning and size. For breakfast we chose the Japanese set, and it was so good that we ended up having seconds of rice and miso soup. If I had to mention one thing, it would be perfect if the lounge snacks were a little better. We’d love to visit again in a different season.

    The staff were wonde...

    The staff were wonderful. The Room had a private open-air bath and was surrounded by greenery, making it very relaxing. The size was just right—not too big or too small—and it felt thoughtfully designed. I’d love to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

    For rest and relaxation purposes

    As someone who doesn’t usually travel, I was looking for an Accommodation with great scenery to unwind from work fatigue. After seeing the photos and liking what I saw, I decided to stay here this time. The location of the in-room open-air bath was excellent, the room was clean, and regarding meals, I had informed them in advance that I can’t eat raw items. Instead of simply substituting with konjac, they prepared dishes that were cooked so I could eat them. Since I also can’t eat konjac, this thoughtful consideration made me very satisfied. The complimentary services were plentiful as well, and the staff were wonderful—without me even needing to say anything, they noticed when I arrived or stepped away from my seat and proactively assisted before I had to ask. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. It’s a great Accommodation that I would recommend when you want to get away from a daily life bound by time and relax at a leisurely pace. Next time, I’d like to consider a Multiple Night Stay as well.

    I was satisfied with...

    I was satisfied with the Facility and the staff’s service. However, one thing disappointed me: during dinner, a Chinese guest was eating while playing Chinese news loudly through a speaker, which was extremely noisy. It’s not the Hotel’s fault, but it was unfortunate.

    First visit since the renovation

    I visited several times before the renovation and this was my first visit after. Thank you for your thoughtful consideration on my daughter’s birthday. Even though we arrived after the Shuttle Service hours, you kindly accommodated us.\nThe Room, meals, and baths were all improved compared to before.\nHowever, one disappointing point was when I went to the large public bath near closing time. Perhaps they were foreign guests, but some brought drinks in, left towels scattered around, and used the sinks in an unclean way, so I didn’t feel comfortable using it. It wasn’t the Hotel’s fault, but my daughter and I returned to the in-room bath.\nThat was the only disappointment—otherwise, we were truly satisfied.

    We stayed here as a couple.

    We stayed here for a long-awaited trip as a couple. Overall, the price is not cheap, but compared with other Accommodations in this area, we were very satisfied. Room & amenities: The Room was spacious and relaxing. This may depend on the person, but the forest right in front of us felt very soothing. I would have liked a few more towels. Hospitality & service: It didn’t feel particularly seasoned, but the hospitality and service were smooth. Responses to requests were quite fast, so there was no stress. Onsen & bath: Since our Room had an open-air style bath, we used that instead. It was a good size and the water was excellent. Facility & equipment: The cable car was unusual and felt refreshing. I imagine maintenance must be challenging, but it’s certainly something people will talk about. Overall, everything is compactly designed with few chances to cross paths with other guests, creating a calm atmosphere. Meals: If I had to say something, dinner felt average for an Accommodation of this class. The drinks were delicious—perhaps because of the unique shape of the glasses. It made me want to buy the same glasses. Breakfast impressed us in a Room with a wonderful view. The abundance of vegetables and fruit also felt like a clear difference from other Accommodations. However, breakfast was served in stacked two-tier trays, but there was nowhere to place the second tier; I think this needs improvement.

    Is this okay?

    The day before, I stayed at a different Ryokan in Hakone, so it was only natural to compare the two. Thanks to the Points I had accumulated on IKYU, the total cost ended up being almost the same. Amenities seem to be restricted as part of a strict goal to reduce plastic waste— even toothbrushes must be requested. There was no hairbrush either. For meals, items listed on the menu were unavailable for two days in a row. The overall quality also felt below what you would expect for the price, although the portions were large. I didn’t feel the staff service level was particularly high. The Room was spacious and the Onsen was comfortable. However, it’s hard to understand why private baths are so difficult to reserve—this feels discourteous to guests. With so many Ryokan options in Hakone, I wouldn’t choose this one again unless things change.

    Your First Time in Hakone

    This was my first stay, and I was very satisfied. The balance of cleanliness, interior design, and spaciousness was perfect, and it felt relaxing and soothing. I had seen some disappointing Reviews about the meals, but that wasn’t the case at all—I really enjoyed them. There were Standard and Premium options, and I chose Premium. The portion size was just right. The service during meals was also very pleasant. Only the doneness of the meat—this is a matter of preference—but I would have liked it grilled a bit more for a richer aroma. Also, breakfast was outstanding. I could eat it every day. I thoroughly enjoyed both the large public bath and the open-air bath in my Room, but next time I’d love to try the private bath as well. The fresh greenery this time felt crisp and refreshing, so I’d like to visit again in a different season.

    Since our arrival time at Yumoto Station was fixed, we called in advance to request the Shuttle Service, but were told to call once we arrived in Yumoto. As instructed, we called after arriving and were told they would check with the driver. After a short wait, we headed to the designated pickup point. The driver noticed us, moved the vehicle over, and picked us up, but there were already other guests on board. The driver seemed apologetic to them for making them wait. It left us feeling as if we had been late somehow, which felt a bit odd—at other places we’ve stayed, they often come to pick you up at your scheduled arrival time. The TV did not have YouTube, but the entire Accommodation was very clean and comfortable, and we had a pleasant stay. The meals were beautifully presented and everything was delicious. The Onsen was also excellent. Overall, it was an Accommodation with a very high level of satisfaction.

    The drink selection is excellent.

    Draft beer was available even as a welcome drink, and a self-serve drink bar was set up at the front desk at all times. In the evening, snacks were provided as well. I was amazed by how extensively stocked the in-room drinks and post-bath drinks were—almost to an excessive degree. The open-air bath in the room was also wonderful. The private bath had a unique open atrium design, but there was no view outside. I requested a Western-style breakfast, but it felt more like a mix of Japanese and Western dishes, which seemed a bit off. As expected from Odakyu, the service was outstanding—more than enough in terms of overall offerings.

    Highly satisfied

    This was my first stay, and I was completely satisfied. The open-air bath in the Room, the large public bath, and the private baths were all spotless. The meals were also very delicious. The complimentary drinks and sweets in the lounge offered a wide variety. Above all, the staff’s service struck a comfortable balance and made me feel at ease. I would definitely like to stay again.

    Stay for an anniversary celebration

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. We were extremely satisfied with everything—the Room, the meals, the in-house Facility, and the Onsen. The staff were also very accommodating and flexible, which made us very happy. If we have a chance to travel to Hakone again, we would definitely stay here again. Thank you very much!

    Seasonal Highlights

    Highlights - The Accommodation was impeccably clean and felt wonderful—everything was spotless. - The large public bath had a fantastic atmosphere and beautiful views. - Many of the staff were young, but they were very pleasant and it was genuinely nice to see. - The lounge drinks and light snacks were delicious. - The tatami in the Room had underfloor heating, which felt great. - The view from the Room was also amazing—I’d love to visit in every season. Disappointments (some of this comes down to personal preference) - The meals didn’t suit my taste. When I mentioned that I’m not good with raw seafood, it was served boiled instead. At other Accommodations, they replaced it with different ingredients, so I was surprised. To be honest, it wasn’t tasty for me. It’s described as creative Japanese cuisine, but things like the sauce on grilled fish didn’t work for me either. - At breakfast, I was thrilled to hear the grilled fish would be saikyo-miso marinated black cod, but it wasn’t cooked through and was almost raw, so I couldn’t eat it. I don’t think this is just a matter of preference. - The open-air bath in the Room was small and I couldn’t stretch my legs out (I know—I should book a larger Room next time...). I’ve written some rather cheeky comments here, but compared with Ginyu where I stayed a week before Hatsuhana, I was 10,000 times more satisfied here. I would absolutely love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    The Room was clean and the Onsen quality was good, so overall I think the level of satisfaction is high. However, there was no makeup remover among the amenities, which was disappointing. The food tasted great. But the portions were small, and considering this price range, the meal content felt far too ordinary. When I travel, I look forward to the Onsen and meals, so honestly that was the only part that left me less satisfied. In a way, it felt even more disappointing because everything else was so good! If the meal offerings improve, I would like to stay again.

    Snowy scenery

    Unexpectedly, it snowed on the day of our stay, and we were able to enjoy a magnificent, beautiful snowy landscape from the observation terrace. The Room was spacious with an excellent layout, and the in-room open-air bath was outstanding. We also loved the high-quality yukata and amenities. In addition to the large public bath, we were lucky to enjoy two private open-air baths as well. The meals were delicious. With all due respect, this Hotel had not been one of our top choices before, but after the renovation it has become a very clean and wonderful Hotel. The entire property felt spotless, the hospitality was excellent, and we were able to relax comfortably at a leisurely pace. (They also kindly responded to our request email before our stay.) We hope to visit again in a different season.

    It was amazing!

    I chose this Accommodation for his birthday trip. The atmosphere, hospitality, and meals were all wonderful, making it a truly fulfilling getaway. They also kindly provided flowers and took photos for us as a complimentary service, and he was very happy. We enjoyed the open-air bath with a snowy view, so we’d love to visit again in summer. Thank you!

    The whole family was satisfied.

    We stayed here for a family trip. We chose this accommodation because we wanted to spend our time relaxing. First, its location right off the highway made it very convenient and free from traffic congestion. From the moment we entered, we were enveloped in a calm and serene atmosphere. The lounge was lovely and very relaxing. There were free drinks available in the lounge, and even the beverages in the room were complimentary, which was great. The bath was excellent, the meals were wonderful—everything was perfect. We would definitely love to visit this accommodation again!
