From the warm hospitality to the excellent service from all the staff, we had a wonderful time. We also enjoyed unexpected activities such as the table tennis service, and the ocean view from our Room was beautiful—making it a truly memorable day. The meals offered a great variety, and we were able to fully enjoy many of Toyama’s local specialties. The evening course dinner was carefully prepared dish by dish, and we were extremely satisfied. One thing we hope will improve further is the overall cleanliness and odor inside the building. We stayed in a non-smoking Room, but noticed a slight smell of cigarette smoke on the floor. Since it is such a lovely Ryokan, improving this point would make the stay even more comfortable. Other than that, everything was truly wonderful—this is a Ryokan we would like to give five stars. It’s a place we would love to visit again with our family. We would be even happier if these points have been improved by our next visit.

Excellent value for money! Close to the station, and far cleaner than you’d ever expect from the exterior. Maybe it’s been renovated? Everything is well maintained, and above all, the front desk staff are truly pleasant and welcoming. It’s also convenient for getting to both Himi and Toyama, and there aren’t many people around (which is also great!). I’d definitely like to stay here again on my next trip to Toyama. Highly recommended!

Despite being located almost directly connected to the station, you won’t hear train noise. Just pass through the underpass beneath the tracks to reach a large supermarket, which is very convenient. There are separate large public baths for men and women, and a coin laundry in the changing area. The breakfast buffet includes Western options such as bread, but I was grateful to find locally sourced items like herring kelp rolls and kamaboko (fish cake).

The restaurant is modern, and the Accommodation Fee is affordable.

For a business hotel, I think it offers excellent value. Whenever I’m on a business trip to Toyama, this is the place I choose these days.

It is a very clean Hotel, and I think the hospitality is excellent. I did not expect such a wonderful Room, and I had a great time.

I stayed at this Accommodation as the destination for a long solo road trip. The exterior and interior have a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere—there’s even a barbershop inside the Hotel—and it feels like a dignified, classic Hotel from a good old time. Even the low ceilings, typical of older Hotels, felt comforting and relaxing. As for the Room itself, some furnishings do show their age, but everything was well maintained and thoroughly cleaned, which gave me great peace of mind. I used the top-floor restaurant for breakfast; even the retro chairs were carefully cared for, and you can really tell they’re valued and kept in good condition. The bathroom facilities were well maintained and clean, and things like the air conditioner controller had been updated to be easy to use today. And the in-room TV was a 50-inch smart TV—perfectly comfortable for me since I travel with a Fire TV stick. I enjoyed streaming without any cut-off screens late into the night. Because of work I haven’t been able to travel as often lately, but when I finally managed to make time and plan this trip, choosing this Accommodation as my destination was absolutely ideal. Breakfast was as satisfying as others have written—I ate too much. Newly built Hotels are all modern and spotless and tend to grab your attention, but keeping an older Hotel’s furnishings clean, beautiful, safe, and in good condition takes steady behind-the-scenes effort from the staff every day—and that’s when you truly see what hospitality is all about. If I have another chance, I’d love to visit again with staying at this Accommodation as my main purpose. Thank you very much for such a comfortable stay.

Complimentary ochazuke is provided. There is also a free service of one or two drinks, and a large public bath. I enjoyed my stay.

It was my first trip to Toyama in a while, and I stayed here again as I did last time. The Room was very clean, the Facility was excellent, and I enjoyed the private open-air bath in the guest room many times at a relaxed pace. Just like before, the meals were delicious and I finished everything. The after-meal coffee was also very good. The sparkling water was great as well. In the morning, it felt wonderful to take a walk along the seaside, and I could see the Tateyama Mountain Range in the distance. I’d love to visit again in a different season.

I stayed here for the Toyama Marathon. It was very convenient, just a few minutes from Takaoka Station. The twin Room I used was very spacious and comfortable. The only downside was that the railway tracks were right below, so the sound of passing trains was a bit distracting.

The bathtub was a comfortable size, and I was able to relax very well.

The large public bath was clean and very nice, and I was able to soak and relax.

The Room was clean, and the front desk staff provided courteous service. I’ll be back!

I stayed on a breakfast-only Plan. Since it was a solo trip I decided on suddenly two days before, I was disappointed that I couldn’t choose a Plan with dinner. Although I couldn’t have dinner, the breakfast was very delicious and I was completely satisfied. Above all, the owner of the Accommodation was very considerate in many ways, and I had a truly pleasant stay. Next time, I would definitely like to stay for the dinner as well. It was truly a wonderful Accommodation. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

This trip was partly to revisit Toyama, where I lived for about six months during my first year as a new employee some 30 years ago, and I was truly comforted by this Ryokan’s subtle yet warm hospitality. *My single-person dorm was in Toyama City, and I remember going to Aeon in Takaoka (was it Warner Mycal back then?) to watch a movie. The meals were delicious—I finished the entire rice tub (enough for about 2–3 bowls) and ended up drinking two bottles of beer as well. I was initially concerned about the shared refrigerator and planned not to use it when I made the Reservation, but since the system lets you write your Room number on a sticky note, I felt comfortable using it. To give an honest Review: I did wish the bath were a bit larger, but it was very clean and relaxing. It rained the next morning, but the location is excellent—you can stop by Kawanoeki Shinminato, Kaiwomaru Park, and the famous roadside station Amaharashi Coast (Michi-no-Eki), and still easily drop in at Himi Fish Market Cafeteria. To be frank, I expected to stay here simply because it was inexpensive; however, compared with an Accommodation in Fukui where things only looked good on the surface without matching reality (where I stayed the next day), this Ryokan’s strengths stood out even more. In any case, highly recommended.

There is plenty of space for one person to stay. Personally, I found the bed mattress and pillow very soft and fluffy, which was really comfortable. The bed area also had enough height that I didn’t have to worry about hitting my head when sitting up. Outside the bed area, the floor is the same as outside the Room, so changing clothes was a bit inconvenient. Items in the Room: a tabletop mirror, hair dryer (SALONIA), cup, tissues, towel(s), and power outlets in two places (at the desk and by the pillow). *Things you should bring (recommended)* [Toothbrush, hairbrush, hair iron/straightener, charger, skincare such as lotion] I wished there were a kettle, but I assume that’s part of why it’s affordable. Nearby are izakaya pubs and a convenience store a short walk away. There aren’t any large chain restaurants or supermarkets nearby. Since there happened to be no other guests during my stay, I was able to use the shared toilet, shower room, and sink without any inconvenience or security concerns. However, noise may carry depending on timing. The staff were polite and friendly as well.

The food is absolutely delicious and makes you feel so happy! Dinner featured a variety of fish, all incredibly fresh and tasty. The crispy skin, tender meat, and perfectly paired sauce were simply exquisite. The wine and sake recommended for pairing enhanced the dishes beautifully, making it hard to stop drinking. The Room with tatami mats was very relaxing. The view of the canal from both the dining area and the Room was stunning—such a wonderful place to stay. Breakfast was also amazing, with sashimi, grilled fish, rice, eggs—everything so delicious that I couldn’t stop going back for seconds in the morning! I can’t wait to visit again!!

This was the most stylishly designed accommodation I have ever stayed in among renovated traditional Japanese houses. It seems to be a remodeled row house, filled with the owner's refined aesthetic sense, and I learned a lot from the interior design and use of small items. The bed was fluffy, and the heating system was sufficient to warm up the spacious room, allowing for a very quiet night. In addition to the Japanese-style room, there are several cozy spaces where you can relax, making it enjoyable to spend time indoors reading books even on cold rainy days. For dinner, we bought ingredients at "Fresh Satake," a supermarket within walking distance that offers high-quality products recommended by the owner. Since no seasonings were provided in advance, we purchased them at the supermarket as well. We tried Himi beef fillet seasoned simply with salt and pepper—it was absolutely delicious! Another highlight is that there’s a brewery just a few minutes' walk away. For those traveling by car, this accommodation serves as an excellent base for exploring Toyama. The staff were very friendly and helpful; while many whole-house rentals now operate without on-site staff interaction, it was nice to have someone available for conversation and assistance. They even offered luggage storage after check-out, which provided peace of mind during our stay.

We stayed with a group of 7 at this accommodation. It is a nostalgic traditional Japanese house, but the owner's renovation skills truly stood out, making our stay very enjoyable. Although there were time restrictions, we had fun with outdoor BBQs and campfires at the outdoor BBQ area. The facility also offers indoor options like smokeless roasters for BBQs, hot pots, or takoyaki parties. We look forward to trying these during our next stay! The indoor camping space (kids' space) is designed like a sunken earthen floor area within the building, creating an open and spacious atmosphere with its high ceiling. Being an old-style house, we were initially concerned about drafts or cold temperatures indoors; however, those worries proved unnecessary. The large stove, kotatsu table heater, air conditioning units, and other heating facilities kept us warm and comfortable throughout our stay! If there's one minor point to mention—it was sometimes unclear where guests could access freely since there were no clear signs such as "Staff Only" or "No Entry." Occasionally opening doors led to storage areas or spaces under renovation. Overall though, it was a wonderful experience where we could relax freely without any concerns. Next time we'd love to try staying at their related accommodations YADO2 or YADO3 (scheduled for completion this summer).

Above all, the dinner portions were incredible—and delicious! Crab, shabu-shabu, sashimi, and fried chicken; we were very satisfied. The bath was also comfortable to use (the bath and toilet are shared). The hostess was very kind, and we had a pleasant stay. Lastly, the meal was truly amazing... thank you very much!
