I visited on my road bike. They kindly allowed me to park my bike in the parking lot, which was very reassuring as a cyclist. After arriving, I took a relaxing walk along the seaside right in front of the property and soothed my travel fatigue. The building does feel a bit aged overall, but you can sense the staff’s sincere efforts everywhere through their attentive and warm hospitality. The baths operate on a rotating men/women schedule, and I really enjoyed the large public bath, open-air bath, and jacuzzi. However, it was a little disappointing that the sauna was out of order and being used for storage, and that there was no cold plunge pool—I hope they will be restored in the future! Since it looked like you could step out into the courtyard from the main bath area as well, it might be nice to create a relaxation space there. Dinner—the highlight—was far more generous than expected and extremely satisfying. Luxurious ingredients such as simmered splendid alfonsino (kinmedai), abalone, and top-quality rice from Chiba Prefecture were served; I honestly wondered if this price was really sustainable. The next morning I woke up early again and went for another morning walk by the sea right in front of us. It was an extremely satisfying stay.

This was my third stay. I stayed in the same Room with a kitchen as last time. The Room had been renovated and was very clean. In the evening, we could see Mt. Fuji from the Room, which made my mother very happy. For dinner, instead of ordering the boat sashimi platter we had last time, we took out sushi and ate it in the Room. Dinner is served in your Room here, so you can relax without worrying about others. I wanted to take it easy in the morning, so I chose no breakfast. If you want a hearty breakfast, I recommend booking a plan with breakfast included.\nThe beach was quiet since it was before Obon. There were lifeguards on duty as well, so it felt safe. Unfortunately, perhaps because it was after 3:00 PM on the day we went, the beach huts were closed. It rained the next day, so we gave up on going to the beach—but students from some school were swimming even in the rain.\nI’d love to come back to Iwai for another beach trip next year too.

We stayed as a family of six. Check-in was smooth, and we were glad we could complete it without any crowds. Our room faced the forest, but every time we used the elevator we could enjoy views of the ocean outside, which was wonderful. The room itself was fantastic—everyone in our group of six could relax comfortably. Our parents slept on futons and said they were even more comfortable than the ones at home; they kept saying they’d like to use them at home too. It was great to be able to recover from travel fatigue. The meals were popular with both kids and adults, with many dishes that appealed across generations. In particular, there was a live-kitchen chicken liver sandwich-style item (I forgot the name) that was so delicious I went back for it about 10 times—thank you for the wonderful meal. The hot spring had a comfortable temperature, so the children could soak calmly as well. The relaxing atmosphere of the relaxation room also helped us unwind, and both parents and kids were very satisfied. What our family loved most was the indoor play area. There were several spacious tatami rooms where we could all enjoy table tennis, badminton, soccer, basketball, and more together. The tatami mats felt a bit old, but it didn’t bother us much. Since it was close to the dining area, we were able to use it a lot before and after meals, which was great. This time we stayed on the forest side, so next time we’d love to try an ocean-side room. We stayed for two nights from 8/23 in an annex Triple Room as a family of four, including a 9-year-old boy. When we checked in, four beds (one was a sofa bed) were already prepared. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower room even had a ReFa shower head. The amenities were more than sufficient. The entire Room was clean, and there was an electric kettle along with instant coffee and tea. Since our Room was on the first floor, we could step directly out into the front garden, and our child was thrilled to catch insects. The pool was also clean and very pleasant. The Onsen is effective for muscle fatigue relief and improving skin condition. We would definitely like to visit again.
