It felt much improved compared to my previous stay. The Room refrigerator had been replaced, so it could easily fit plenty of bottled drinks and food, and the TV in the Room I used before— which didn’t display properly—was working fine this time. The Wi‑Fi was relatively fast as well, which made it easy to work and watch videos. Although the building is clearly aging overall, it’s about a 10‑minute walk to Hakodate Station, there’s a Seicomart nearby, and while the large bath and sauna are separated by alternating hours for men and women, they were great amenities that made the stay very comfortable. Also, if you choose the right season, you can stay at a very reasonable price—excellent value for money. I’ll definitely stay again!

They offered generous complimentary services: a welcome drink, alcoholic drinks after 8:00 p.m., three pieces of sushi, cup noodles, and morning curry. What I liked most, though the building is old, was how thoroughly everything was cleaned down to the smallest details, making my stay very comfortable. I would like to stay again.

Cleanliness: Good! Both the Hotel and Room were very clean. Pet Supplies: Good! Provided items included a cage, training sheets, and small toys. Room Convenience: Good! The Room is equipped with essentials like a microwave, induction cooker, and tableware. You can also enjoy takeout meals from nearby stores in your Room. Location: Close to the station, with seafood restaurants, Hasegawa Store (Hasesuto), and Lucky Pierrot within walking distance. Suggestion: To make better use of space in the Room, I understand the current setup; however, a slightly larger table would have been even better. Overall Value for Money: Excellent Hotel!

We stayed at Hotel New Ote as a base for sightseeing in Hakodate and enjoying the night view from Mt. Hakodate. It was conveniently located near the morning market, tram stops, and bus stops. The building is old, but the room was clean. We stayed for only one night, but we were satisfied to be able to use the private family bath as well.

The stylish interior in this historic building was wonderful! The Hotel had a great atmosphere that truly reflects its heritage. All the staff were very friendly and pleasant. The shower was incredibly cool! (LOL) The location is also perfect—right in the heart of the sightseeing area with excellent access. Lucky Pierrot and Hasegawa Store are right next door, Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses are just nearby, and Mt. Hakodate is only a short walk away—nothing to complain about. I’d definitely like to stay here again if I have the chance.

My daughter and I stayed for two nights. All of the front desk staff were very friendly, making our stay truly comfortable. The location is great, and they also offer welcome drinks and laundry (free of charge), so the value for money is excellent. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Hakodate.

Conveniently located near Hakodate Station. We stayed in a Japanese-style Room with three adults, and since we planned to visit the market the next day, it was the perfect size for No Meals Included—clean and comfortable. The large public bath alternates between men and women, so note that the women’s hours are a bit shorter. However, the Room also has a unit bath, so it wasn’t much of an inconvenience. The front desk staff were kind and courteous as well. Overall, we were very satisfied. Thank you very much.

This was my second stay at an APA Accommodation, the first in over twenty years. My first stay was in Osaka, and this time was far better than back then. The bathroom and water facilities were very clean, and I was surprised there was none of the typical odor. The front desk staff were also very helpful. The location was excellent—I could walk around the Hakodate Station area and even visit the morning market early in the morning. I arrived by car and parked at the coin-operated lot right next door for 1,000 yen, which I really appreciated. I’d like to stay again next year.

There were no issues with the Hotel’s Facilities. I didn’t realize when I made the Reservation, but it seems to be a pet-friendly Hotel. They also have toys for small children. Although it is located away from town, I think it’s a very nice place. The front desk is basically unmanned like a Business Hotel, but the staff who came out from the office to assist us were very kind, and we truly appreciated being seen off at check-out.

This was my second stay at Four Points Flex by Sheraton Hakodate Station. I booked the No Meals Included Plan. The Room was very clean. It was also helpful to have charging cables (USB Type-A, USB Type-C, and a Lightning cable) and even an extension cord in the Room. JR Hakodate Station and the Hakodate Station streetcar stop are both within a 10-minute walk. Nearby, there’s a FamilyMart and MaxValu, as well as plenty of dining options (izakaya, ramen shops, etc.), so even with the No Meals Included Plan you can feel at ease. I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Hakodate!

I made a last-minute Reservation for one person, expecting to stay in a single Room, but I was accommodated in a larger Room—perhaps because one was available. The building felt a bit old, but the Facilities and cleanliness were excellent, making it more than satisfying for the price. I didn’t get to eat because I left early in the morning, but the staff were very friendly, and it’s an Accommodation I’d be happy to stay at again if I have the chance.

It was my first time in Hakodate. The location is very convenient, with many restaurants and the morning market nearby, making it easy to stay even without meals included. The Room was very spacious, and as a tall person, I felt extremely comfortable. The Room also had cutlery available, so we could reheat the "Yakitori Bento" we wanted to try using the microwave provided in the Room, plate it nicely, and share it between two people. I also appreciated the thoughtful gesture of warming up the Room before check-in. Highly recommended condominium!

There are often spots that get missed around the bathroom and in the corners of the Room, but this was the first time I’ve stayed in a Room that was cleaned so thoroughly. The staff member in charge of cleaning that day did an excellent job. Thank you very much. If I had to mention one thing, it would be nice to have a trash bin near the utility area.

A beautiful Hotel comprising a former Russian Consulate built over 100 years ago and, behind it, a newly constructed wellness wing designed by Makoto Nakayama. The staff kindly explained the building’s history and the vision behind its renovation into a Hotel, which made my stay even more meaningful. The Japanese elm towering in the garden that connects the old and new wings truly felt like a sacred tree, drawing the grounds into a serene world completely separate from everyday life. At the beautifully designed bar, I enjoyed Akkeshi oysters and a vodka cocktail. In the evening, I had sushi at Sushi-dokoro Funami inside the Hotel. The sushi and appetizers prepared by the head chef—who trained at Hakodate’s renowned Kihara—were outstanding; everything was fresh, high-quality, and delicious. Conversation with the chef and staff was also enjoyable, making for an unforgettable time. This time I stayed in a Room in the wellness wing. The view of Hakodate Port was wonderful, and even glimpses of blue sky from the courtyard were soothing. The Room also had a jacuzzi and sauna, allowing me to spend truly fulfilling time there. Breakfast featuring plenty of local ingredients was delicious as well. A book-shaped bread was served, and since I had been told in advance that this Hotel was produced by author Shiho Tanimura, it all made perfect sense. Every member of staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, with outstanding hospitality throughout. It felt like staying here could be the main purpose of a trip to Hakodate itself. I would love to visit again in another season.

You can stay in the former Soma family’s kura storehouse, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. It was an amazing experience. Since we usually live surrounded by excessive information and stimulation, being in a room with no TV or clock makes time feel like it flows more slowly. The location is also perfect as a base for sightseeing. Having the staff show us around the former Soma family’s main house was full of surprises and really enjoyable. We also visited the recommended local food spots and were very satisfied. Thank you very much.

I was looking for an affordable Hotel in Hakodate with a large public bath. I wasn’t expecting much—No Meals Included was fine—but it turned out to be better than I thought. The building is old, but guests can use the hot stone sauna for free, and towels and loungewear are provided. Water is also available with cups provided. (Non-guests: 2,500 yen!) It was a Friday, but it felt like we had the place to ourselves. There were also free full-body massage chairs (I heard there weren’t any for men). You can also make Misuzu Coffee for free in the 1st-floor lobby and take it back to your Room. On the 1st floor, you can fill a container with your preferred shampoo and conditioner to take with you. Free late-night soba is also available. I’d like to stay here again next time.

We stayed here as a family of four during summer vacation. A private rental Accommodation renovated from a traditional old house. The bathroom is spacious, the living room is roomy, and there are four bedrooms—up to 8 people can stay. It’s a bit far from Hakodate Station, but it’s located in the calm and quiet western district. The former Russian Consulate, the Foreigners’ Cemetery, and the docks are nearby, making for an enjoyable morning walk. The interior is clean and furnished with tasteful pieces that match the traditional house style, so you can spend a relaxing evening. The tram stop is about a 3-minute walk away, and there’s a MaxValu supermarket and a 7-Eleven nearby, so you can quickly get anything you need. I’d like to stay here again when I visit Hakodate. As for service, we had no contact with staff at all, and there were no complimentary drinks such as drip coffee or tea—everything was very simple—so I rated it 3.

The bathroom and wash area were thoroughly cleaned and kept in excellent condition. I would like to stay here again.

I stayed for two nights during a motorcycle touring trip. The staff were very accommodating, making my stay extremely comfortable. I was pleased to find the motorcycle parking area under a roof. The location is very convenient, with the station and downtown area within walking distance.
