I often stay at hotels in a similar price range, and I highly recommend this one. The entire property is very well maintained, and the room I stayed in seemed to have been renovated—the bathroom was spacious and spotless, there were two toilets, and the interior, Japanese-style room area, and living space were all excellent. The large public bath was also clean and quite spacious for the number of rooms. The dinner buffet also felt carefully prepared. Perhaps because it’s in Niigata Prefecture, the rice was delicious as well. The staff were pleasant and welcoming. It’s a place I’d like to visit again.

Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. Yuzawa Grand Hotel was an outstanding hotel in every way. Our family usually doesn’t eat large portions, so kaiseki meals at ryokan can sometimes feel like too much, but this time everything was so delicious that we ended up eating more than usual. We thought buffet meals were pretty much the same everywhere, but this hotel offered many items you don’t often see elsewhere—such as grilled seafood (hamayaki), dobin-mushi, and a chocolate fountain—so dining was truly enjoyable. Of course, everything we tried tasted great. To the head chef, thank you for the wonderful meal. The baths were also excellent, and the open-air bath had a lovely atmosphere where we could relax at ease. We would definitely love to stay again.

The service was outstanding, and I’m truly glad we chose this Hotel. All the food and drinks were delicious. On the front desk floor, there were complimentary coffee and cold barley tea, and in the lounge area they even provided ice bars and Yakult for the next morning—everything was thoughtfully prepared. Of course, we also enjoyed the late-night soba. We had no complaints at all and had a wonderful stay.

I stayed again last month—this must be around my fifth visit. Thank you as always. It’s such a quiet inn that I can truly relax. I usually book the plan without dinner. Lately I’ve been eating only a little in the evenings, so I don’t add it, but if there were a simple hot-spring “healing” set meal (something like soup and three small dishes), I’d love to try it (a bit of a luxury request). It was a stay-at-the-inn trip, but this time my room supported Netflix (maybe it did before as well?), so I was able to watch an entire drama series I’d been wanting to see!! That was really appreciated. I love hot springs and travel several times a month around eastern Japan—from Aomori down through Nagano and Yamanashi—and this place is by far my favorite right now. You can really feel how sincerely this inn is run (maybe that’s because I’m a business owner myself). Everything is extremely clean, and I heard the baths are cleaned daily. The rooms are old but renovated, the bathroom areas are comfortable, and of course the hot spring water is free-flowing. There’s plenty of it too—such a luxury. Since I try to visit during quieter times, the large public bath is often empty as well, which makes for an incredibly soothing and peaceful stay. I’m grateful for these rates while maintaining this level of quality. Breakfast also offers many healthy-looking items including local specialties. There are homemade dishes from the inn mixed in too—I love that. Many of the staff are from overseas, but everyone is very pleasant—honestly much better than some poorly trained Japanese staff at other hotels. The location/access is excellent as well, making it easy to come on short notice. Whenever I think “I want to soak in an onsen,” I end up booking right away (lol). I’d like to visit again often—before ski season gets busy. Thank you very much.

It was a very enjoyable stay for our kindergarten-aged child. Both dinner and breakfast were full of foods kids love. They had fun making their own ice cream, and they could also bring chocolate syrup and chocolate toppings from a separate area to create their own pancakes. (We wished there had been pancake syrup in the kids’ corner.) The Onsen temperature was set low for children (it might feel lukewarm for adults), and our child stayed in for about an hour. The only downside was that the photos in the information showed a drum washing machine, but there wasn’t one in reality. Other than that, they offer lots of children’s activities, so I think it’s an excellent Hotel for families with kids. We’d like to come again in winter.

This was my first stay, and I stayed in a Room with an Onsen. The Room, attentive services, and hospitality were excellent. I also enjoyed the delicious breakfast.\nHowever, I think the dinner could use some improvement. After all, dinner is one of the highlights of an Onsen Accommodation stay.

I booked this Onsen with a scenic-view bath after it caught my eye while searching for an Accommodation. Since meals are served in the Room, I was a bit concerned about staff coming in and out, but they delivered the food outside the door, which made it much more comfortable. We also laid out our own futons, so no one entered the Room during dinner—this suited us well. It felt like that helped keep the price a bit more reasonable. Dinner had many dishes and was delicious, and we were even more satisfied with the tasty local rice. The bath was a good size and perfect for relaxing at our own pace. The Shuttle Service to the station was also very convenient. We’d like to stay again. Thank you very much.

I love Niigata in midwinter, but I also really enjoy Niigata in the season of wild mountain vegetables after the snow melts. In terms of Onsen Ryokan within the prefecture, I have previously stayed at Satoyama Jujo, HATAGO Issen, ryugon, Hinano Yado Chitose, and Rankei-so. Each Accommodation was unique and charming, and this time I was finally able to visit Shiki Yuzawa QUATTRO, which I had been curious about for a while. As you can probably tell from the above, we travel around various Accommodations because we like places with great food. From that perspective—this is how my spouse and I both felt—the breakfast side dishes were good, but not “exceptionally delicious.” As for the seaweed (“nori”), it had a color and taste we had never seen before, which made us wonder: had this processed product changed over time? Or is this its intended final form in terms of appearance and seasoning? It left us feeling a bit uneasy. Perhaps for guests who usually select ingredients carefully and cook at home on a regular basis, it may not be especially impressive. That said, we truly appreciate that they prepared such a large number of dishes at the in-room chair-and-table seating area and offered their very best hospitality. We felt they were doing everything they could to provide a comfortable stay despite limited staff and time. We would recommend it more to guests with a hearty appetite who have no concerns about their legs or knees. This is because getting into a bathtub without handrails can become difficult as you get older. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath in the room continuously supplied Onsen water, so we could soak at a comfortable temperature again the next morning. We also enjoyed relaxing on the second-floor terrace. Since this season is neither too hot nor too cold—and there are no bugs—why not plan a trip now? The room seemed renovated and was very clean, and there was also a hair straightener in addition to the hair dryer. We were satisfied with the amenities! Thank you to everyone for your kind assistance throughout our stay. The large public bath at Sakura-tei was also nearby, so getting there was easy.

We stayed here for hiking in Yuzawa in early autumn. It is located between Echigo-Yuzawa Station and the ropeway, which was very convenient for us as we were using public transportation. Since we were traveling with a small child, the Plan that guarantees meals in a private dining room was the deciding factor. We were able to enjoy a relaxed meal for the first time in a while without worrying about those around us. The staff were also kind and attentive to our child. There are two baths each for men and women, and they switch between morning and evening, so it was great to be able to try different ones. One disappointment was that dust had accumulated on the hair dryer in our Room. We also appreciated the warm consideration, such as providing children’s toys even for the in-room bath.

When I entered the Hotel, the staff welcomed me with a cheerful “Welcome, hello,” and it made for a refreshing start. The room was clean and well maintained, so I had a very comfortable stay. The restaurant staff were energetic and efficient, and I enjoyed the food as well. The only issue was that part of the bathroom floor was slippery, which felt a bit unsafe. At check-out, the staff saw me off with big smiles. Thank you very much for your hospitality. I would love to stay again.

I stayed for one night with breakfast included, and the front desk staff were very courteous. The room was clean with no hygiene issues, though it felt a bit small. The night view of the Yuzawa hot spring town from the open-air bath on the top floor was beautiful. I expected a standard breakfast buffet like many hotels, but it was delicious. Overall, considering the price, I have no complaints—5 stars.

I stayed here on the day of the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival. Even though my Shinkansen arrived late, you came to pick me up, which was a great help. Also, being able to use the large public bath 24 hours a day was perfect for soothing my tired body. Staying at NASPA New Otani made this a wonderful trip. Thank you very much.

The room was excellent. There was plenty of space between the beds and between the bed and the wall, so I could relax comfortably. The placement of the chair and desk was also very good. It was the first time I’ve ever been this satisfied with a room.\nThe hot spring was very clean, but I noticed a chlorine smell. It also seemed slightly cloudy, which made me wonder about it as a hot spring. A colleague who specializes in chemistry said, “If there are impurities, it warms you up,” so I convinced myself and enjoyed warming up.\nI would like to stay again.

The Facilities were excellent, and we enjoyed a relaxing dinner in our Room. We were very satisfied with both the price and what was included, making it a wonderful one-night stay. Thank you very much. That said, while the simple style was nice in its own way, we would have appreciated a few thoughtful words from the Accommodation staff at check-in and check-out, or a small service such as offering a cup of coffee after breakfast.

At check-in, the host greeted us very calmly and kindly, which immediately made us feel at ease. The Room had the basic amenities (towels, bath towels, toothbrushes, and yukata), and the bathroom vanity had razors, cotton swabs, a comb, and a hair dryer. We were also able to use the private bath (depending on the time slot) right away with perfect timing. I’m not sure about public transportation, but traveling by car was not inconvenient at all. There is a convenience store within walking distance; the only downside is that there aren’t any restaurants nearby. I’d like to stay again.

Thank you for taking care of us again, following last season. We had made a Reservation at the end of last year, but you kindly contacted us to let us know there wasn’t much snow, so we canceled once and visited in February. We were glad it happened to be available. The Accommodation was clean, the meals were delicious, and the location was perfect—you can ski right back to the Accommodation from the slopes. All of the staff were kind and very pleasant. Thanks to you, our child has completely fallen in love with skiing. We would love to stay with you every season. Thank you very much.

Since it is right in front of Echigo-Yuzawa Station, getting around was easy with almost no travel needed. I was able to use the foot bath and enjoy cake at the cafe as well. I chose a plan with breakfast only, without dinner. Breakfast felt a little less satisfying than before. Overall, I was satisfied. I booked a Room with an open-air bath and was able to use it many times.

It seems to be a labor-saving style of operation, but the only staff we met were two front desk members, and they were both very pleasant and helpful. Having to make up the futon ourselves was actually nice, as it meant we didn’t have to worry about being a bother. The spa with a sauna and the meals are in the main building, but it’s less than a 5-minute walk away; there is a slight uphill slope, but it wasn’t an issue. We were able to enjoy the sauna and Onsen for long hours both on the day of arrival and again early the next morning. Dinner was buffet-style with all-you-can-eat salmon roe and steak. Since it was an inexpensive stay, we didn’t have high expectations, but the salmon roe had a great pop and the steak was tender and delicious. Breakfast was also lavish—I felt one hour wasn’t enough. Just one thing: I couldn’t tell whether some of the in-house loungewear had already been used, so I had to deduct a star. Overall, we were extremely satisfied!

This was our first trip with our dog, and we stayed here. The lobby was stylish, and the drink selection was excellent. The Room was clean and very spacious, so our dog could relax comfortably. Both dinner and breakfast were luxurious and delicious. Although it rained, there was an indoor dog run, which our dog really enjoyed. The service was very polite and wonderful as well. We would like to stay again.

I stayed here to visit Kiyotsu Gorge. It was my first trip to Niigata. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there weren’t many guests, so I could relax and take my time. At the Premium Lounge, drinks such as beer were all-you-can-drink, and the Onsen’s open-air bath was wonderful. Dinner was a course meal, and breakfast was a buffet— both were very filling! It’s right in front of the ski slopes, so it’s a perfect location for skiing in winter. The station is within walking distance, but they kindly drove me back to the station on my way out. They took great care of everything, and I was very satisfied. Thank you very much.
