Everyone was thrilled by the building and the Facility the moment we arrived. After a while, we looked around at what was in the Room, and once we had settled in, we headed to the open-air bath. The open-air bath building also had a sauna and a water server—absolutely fantastic. If I had to say one thing, it would have been even better if there were chairs where you could sit down for a moment after bathing. We didn’t realize until late afternoon the next day that amenities such as towels must be replenished by the day before, which was hard to understand. It’s also inconvenient that everyone’s address and phone number are required for check-in.

My wife and I stayed here for our usual short getaway. By chance, there were no other guests, so we were lucky to have the large public bath all to ourselves. The staff who assisted us were polite and kind, making it a truly comfortable day. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.

I’ve stayed here before and was very satisfied with the Crab Feast Course, but this time I wanted even more crab, so I chose the Luxury Crab Course. As a result, I was extremely satisfied with both the taste and the portion size. Also, this inn is right in front of the lift area at Hachi-Kita Ski Resort, and being able to use the bath even after check-out is a huge help. Another great service is that guests aged 55 and over can rent equipment for free. There’s also an affiliated rental shop nearby, and the staff were very kind and helpful. Unfortunately it rained that day and conditions were terrible, but thanks to staying at Hisaya, it turned into a ski trip I was happy with.

This was my second stay. The staff at the facility were just as kind and attentive as last time, making my stay very comfortable. The food was delicious, and the Onsen was excellent.

We stayed for one night over the Obon holidays as a family, and everything was excellent. The Facility matched the photos, was very clean, and we had a truly comfortable stay. When we arrived, the tarp and BBQ set were already prepared, so we could start enjoying a barbecue right away—wonderful. There was also a Miele front-opening dishwasher, which made it very convenient for a large group to wash and dry dishes automatically. What we especially liked was that the LDK is on the first floor, and there is also one bedroom on the first floor. Even among luxury villas I researched extensively, it’s rare to find this layout plus a sauna, so I think it’s quite valuable. It also seems very easy to use when traveling with elderly guests or anyone with limited mobility, since it reduces the need to go up and down stairs. The wood deck is designed to be hard to see from the road, and it isn’t fully exposed from neighboring homes either—privacy was well considered. You can see an apartment-like building a few hundred meters away, so you probably wouldn’t want to sunbathe completely nude outside (haha), but it still feels nicely private. The sauna goes up to 90°C maximum, so those who prefer an authentic high-temperature sauna might find it slightly lacking. However, relaxing outdoors after the cold bath on an infinity chair or in a hammock was truly amazing. We had originally extended late check-out by two hours, and when we asked for an additional two-hour extension, they kindly responded quickly since there were no upcoming Reservations. The staff service was excellent as well. We were satisfied with everything—the Facility, layout, comfort level, privacy considerations, and staff support. It made for a wonderful family trip. Thank you very much.

The Room was spacious, bright, and clean, and we were very satisfied. We stayed as a group of six across two generations including children, and the 2LDK layout was perfect. Since two of us are smokers, we were also able to relax and smoke in the Room, which made everything even better. We would like to stay again. We checked various sites, but in the end IKYU offered the best price and felt the most reliable.

We stayed one night with breakfast and dinner included as a family of three. The location is quiet, and the building and Room are clean and not particularly old. However, it seems the property was originally a retreat facility, so even though it is called a Hotel, there is no shop or entertainment Facility. There are also no convenience stores or drugstores nearby. The meals were very delicious, but they were served as a kaiseki-style course rather than a buffet, with dishes brought out in order from appetizers to dessert. Meal times were fixed (breakfast at 7:30 and dinner at 18:30). Dinner in particular was quite early for us, and we couldn’t finish everything because we weren’t hungry enough. The chef seemed to be of Arab background, but both the food and service were excellent. The bath water is natural Onsen and was wonderful. The bathing area isn’t large, but even with six people using the washing area, the showers were manageable. As for the Room, if I had to mention something minor, one of the small light bulbs didn’t turn on. There is air conditioning (central system), but even in August it was cool at night, so we could sleep with it off. Overall it was clean and pleasant; however, not being able to choose meal times felt like having to fit the Hotel’s schedule. It seemed there were several groups staying, but only one other group besides us had breakfast and dinner included; most guests appeared to be No Meals Included. If you stay No Meals Included, please note that most restaurants along the lakeside close by late afternoon. There are also cup noodles available in the vending machine on the first floor.

I was in the area on other business and was just looking for a simple place to stay without meals, hoping there might be an onsen. When I arrived, the hot spring looked wonderful. I went in right after check-in, and ended up soaking four times before check-out. It’s unlikely I’ll have another chance to stay here in the future, but if I do, I’d love to stay at Kawashima Ryokan again.

The Accommodation offered convenient access in all directions, delicious meals, and excellent value for money. Recommended if you don’t mind that the Room does not have a private toilet or washbasin. The only drawback was that the Wi-Fi was not provided by the Facility, but via an external free Wi-Fi service (with a time limit). If that doesn’t bother you either, we recommend it.

I stayed on Friday, July 11. That day, due to the eruption of Shinmoedake and news reports saying that Kirishima City was experiencing a water outage, many Reservations at Ryokans and Hotels in Kirishima City were reportedly canceled. However, in reality there was no impact at all, so I felt the reporting was overly alarmist—this is exactly reputational damage caused by rumors. Kirishima Hanamurasaki offers a very comfortable Onsen, and the food is absolutely delicious. In addition, the hospitality is outstanding. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

The front desk staff are very kind. There are two bath temperatures, which is great because you won’t overheat. Having a microwave was helpful for heating up convenience store meals. At night, the noise from the neighboring Room can be a bit bothersome. It’s a great service to be able to use the bath after skiing and then head home.

Although slightly dated, it was a lovely Hotel. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and even though it was outside regular hours, they kindly gave a ride to the station for one person who had to leave early. The only disappointment was not being able to use the open-air bath with a great view. The baths switched between men and women the next morning, but I couldn't use it due to lack of time in the morning.

Being able to enjoy so many iwana dishes served at the table was truly appreciated! I was tired of buffets, so I really enjoyed the grilled iwana, iwana sushi, and sashimi—plenty of iwana in every form. I didn’t expect to have miso dengaku-style grilled iwana for dinner the next day as well, and it was delicious—I was so happy! The Onsen also left my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. The indoor bath and the semi-circular open-air bath were both wonderful. All of the staff seemed to get along well and were kind and helpful, which made me feel at ease. The shop also had tasty items like soba noodles, sweets, and snacks (such as hoya), so I was happy to be able to buy souvenirs too. Thank you very much for taking care of us! I’ll definitely come back for the iwana料理 and Onsen again. Since it’s located up in the mountains, a Multiple Night Stay is recommended for anyone who wants to relax slowly in peace and quiet.

Stayed after visiting Matsushima! The kids enjoyed making prayer beads at Entsuin Temple. We also lined up for 30 minutes before opening to try the famous Sendai beef tongue, and it was worth the wait—delicious! Check-in and check-out times being separate was a bit inconvenient. We received a breakfast coupon and took out drinks on our way back—thank you! However, it would have been even better if that discount could be applied to the Room rate instead. The Onsen was amazing and left us impressed. It would have been perfect if there were one more bedroom. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the stars due to rain, but the kids loved the large bed—thank you so much!

We stayed here for our first family trip. Tendo was a wonderful place, and thanks to the Room and baths at Sakaeya Hotel, we had a very enjoyable trip. Thank you very much.

You can enjoy a carefully prepared meal served in your Room at a relaxed pace. The Facility is old, but it is clean and felt like coming home to my parents’ house. From the window, the view of the mountains of Aone and the sound of birds made me feel refreshed. I would definitely like to visit again.

I made a reservation at an accommodation that is rare these days, offering in-room smoking and in-room dining. The meals were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The onsen is not from a natural hot spring source, but you can enjoy it quietly and leisurely.

There is a campground next door, but there is no noticeable noise. The staff are very helpful, and the Onsen is wonderful.

I wasn’t originally planning to visit Kurokawa Onsen, but a friend recommended it, so I looked for an Accommodation available on my dates and decided to stay. I’m sorry for being rude, but I didn’t have very high expectations. When I entered the Room, it had underfloor heating—even in the washroom. The in-room bath was spacious, and the water quality was excellent; it was such a pleasant Onsen that I wanted to soak again and again. I stayed for two nights. The meals felt carefully prepared with great attention to detail. With course-style feasts you can sometimes start to feel overwhelmed, but that never happened here—strangely enough. I don’t know if it was the chef’s sense and skill, the seasoning, or the choice of ingredients and menu, but everything was truly delicious. I was completely satisfied and felt genuinely happy. After dinner we returned to our Room, and they had warmed our sandals—thank you for such thoughtful care. Thank you as well to all the lovely staff. I hope to visit again. Thank you very much for taking care of us.
