The parking lot is less than a 1-minute walk from the Accommodation, but cars cannot be brought right up to the entrance, so the proprietress came to our car to pick up our luggage. Dinner was the Shige-no-Ie group dining Plan; the hot pot was served with their homemade broth instead of ponzu, and it was very delicious. The soba rice porridge served at breakfast was also very tasty. However, we chose a room with an open-air bath, but perhaps due to its age, one tile had come off and there were quite a few dirty bits of sealant and debris floating in the water, which was disappointing. There were several other spots that felt loose when touched, so I think they should be repaired before more tiles come off. My husband used it and said both the Onsen and the garden were wonderful, but my daughter and I couldn’t use it because it felt unclean, which was unfortunate. All of the staff were easy to talk to and spoke to my daughter every time they saw her; everyone was very friendly and it was great.

A beautiful garden that reflects the seasons—so captivating you could gaze at it forever. Elegant summer décor that lets you fully experience Kyoto’s traditional culture. Hanging scrolls, ikebana, and a beautifully arranged Room down to every detail. The head chef, attendants, the young proprietress, and the proprietress herself offer warm, attentive hospitality with genuine grace. Thinking that all of this beauty is an expression of love for each guest fills me with freshness and gratitude. At Kikkawa, you can feel the refined spirit of Kyoto—an appreciation for making everyday life beautiful and joyful. It began as an Accommodation I hoped to stay at at least once in my life; before I knew it, this was my 11th visit. A superb culinary Ryokan I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone who truly loves Kyoto.

The location and facilities were excellent, and the large public bath was especially great. If I have the chance to stay somewhere else, I’ll look for Dormy Inn again.

This is my second stay. After my previous stay, I mentioned a small concern in a comment, and I received a prompt reply, which left a very positive impression and made me want to stay again. During this second visit, I was warmly asked at check-in if there was anything they could help with, which made me glad I came. The hallway leading to the Room and the interior atmosphere were both excellent. I will definitely stay here again.

I stayed here because I wanted to visit a famous nearby izakaya, and I was impressed by the stylish, locally inspired interior displays—they were a real treat for the eyes. Breakfast was homemade, warm, and delicious. Thank you very much.

With easy access from Junglia and wanting to stay on Kouri Island, I made a Reservation here. It was very convenient—less than a 30-minute drive from Junglia! On the way, seeing the view from Kouri Bridge again after a long time really got me excited! When I arrived at the Hotel and headed to the entrance, a staff member came out to greet me and carried my luggage for me. Since I checked in much earlier than planned, I asked if it would be possible to make a dinner Reservation, and they kindly accommodated me (it may have been the last available seat). Just like the Reviews said, the food here was outstanding! For dinner, I ordered beef sirloin steak, hamburger steak, garlic shrimp, and other Okinawan dishes. Every dish was carefully prepared with great seasoning—truly impressive. Breakfast included freshly baked bread, a salad plate, soup, and coffee; both the portion size and taste were completely satisfying. The Room was exactly as shown in the photos—stylish and clean with a white-and-blue theme—and it was very comfortable. Personally, I really appreciated having a vanity separate from the sink area; it was very convenient to use. I’d love to stay here again when I visit Kouri Island next time!

We stayed as a couple. We had been interested after seeing it on the website and social media, and our stay exceeded expectations—especially the meal at LA VIGNE DINING FÛDO, which left a lasting impression. Being able to savor dining at the Hotel at a relaxed pace made for a truly satisfying experience. The Room and interior spaces were beautifully designed, and we found the scent throughout the property and in the bath amenities very soothing. The bright Room also had a kitchen, which made it feel more like staying in a vacation home than at a Hotel. It was such a wonderful stay that we’d love to return. Highly recommended.

I stayed one night at Seito in Tateyama and was able to truly relax both physically and mentally. The Accommodation had a calm, clean atmosphere, and the staff were courteous and attentive, which made me feel at ease from the moment I arrived. From my room, I could see Tateyama’s gentle sea, and at sunset I found myself sitting by the window for quite a while just taking in the view. The meals featured plenty of local ingredients; in particular, the fish dishes were fresh and full of flavor, making the trip even more enjoyable. The semi-open-air bath was also perfect—the water temperature was just right, and it felt like my everyday fatigue slowly melted away. Overall, I felt this is an Accommodation with exceptionally high satisfaction for anyone who wants to spend time quietly. It was a stay that made me want to return in a different season.

The Accommodation has a wonderful atmosphere and offers satisfaction that exceeds the price. At the entrance, there was a vending machine selling rare flash-frozen soba you can enjoy as if freshly made, as well as Matsumoto Sanzoku-yaki. They escorted me to my Room on the second floor and even carried my luggage. When I left, it was raining, but they lent me an umbrella and saw me off. Inside, the building has an extraordinary, getaway-like ambiance, with calming lights placed throughout the corridors and other areas. The toilets and washbasins are shared, but they are clean. There is also a large public bath with alternating hours for men and women, and if available, you can use a private bath at no extra charge. The water temperature is on the lukewarm side. Breakfast included many kinds of small side dishes, a large-nameko miso soup, and curry that was light yet flavorful; I heard it uses Indian spices. Next time, I’d like to try dinner as well.

Thank you for taking care of me during my stay in Kyoto. Once again, I was able to relax both body and mind and head home feeling refreshed. As always, I felt at ease thanks to your consistently high-quality service. This is a special stay as a reward to myself every few months. I look forward to staying with you again. I’ll do my best until my next stay.

I stayed here during the summer vacation of 2024. I couldn’t forget how moved I was, so I came back again after two years. The night view of Nagasaki, the excellent service from the staff, the comfort of the Room, and my satisfaction with breakfast, the restaurant, and the lounge—everything was just as wonderful as last time. The five-day Hotel stay flew by, but I felt refreshed both physically and mentally. Next time, maybe I’ll be even more ambitious and stay for seven days. I made a Reservation the day before my stay after reading the reviews. It was No Meals Included, but the service and atmosphere were great—this was a wonderful Hotel just as described. There is parking, and it’s fairly close to the station, so I recommend it. If I have the chance to visit again, I will definitely stay here. To all the staff, thank you for providing such a comfortable space.

Everything—from the cuisine and the Onsen to the private dining room prepared for our meals—was wonderful, and we were able to truly relax from the bottom of our hearts. The food in particular was exceptional; each dish reflected careful craftsmanship, leaving us deeply satisfied. Above all, the Onsen was truly outstanding, and we enjoyed it three times during our stay. The water felt wonderfully gentle on the skin, bringing a soothing warmth that seemed to melt away tension from deep within. We were able to fully savor the blessings of Yugawara’s hot springs. The comforting afterglow lingered long after bathing—it was a genuinely healing experience. Thanks to you, this became a very memorable stay. We would love to visit again.

It was two days full of surprise and inspiration. I only knew it was a museum Hotel, and to be honest, I came mainly for Briance—but it truly felt like an actual museum. Even while exploring the building, the staff kindly provided detailed explanations, which made it even more enjoyable. Every piece is one of a kind, and through the art tour program we also received in-depth commentary. I understood why so many guests return again and again, and it made me want to explore even more myself. The Room was very comfortable and easy to use, the lounge food was delicious, and even though we had dinner at Briance—the original purpose of our visit—we ended up fully enjoying the bar and lounge as well. The wonderful smiles and thoughtful hospitality from all the staff were outstanding, allowing us to spend a truly relaxing holiday. Thank you very much. Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed Briance as well.

I became a fan of The Gate Hotel in Kyoto, so I stayed here in Osaka as well. The location is, of course, excellent. Every Room offers a wonderful view. The interior is clean and efficiently designed. Details like the side tables use eco-friendly materials, giving it a modern feel throughout. Breakfast was delicious across the board, and I was very satisfied. I will stay again.

I always stay here to enjoy an extraordinary and special time away from everyday life. The cocktail-time dishes, carefully prepared right in front of us by the dedicated Club Lounge chef, are of outstanding quality and impress me every time. Also, on the second day, the executive chef came around to greet guests, and I was honored to meet them. All of the lounge staff always provide warm, personal service with a smile. Even after checkout, they kindly saw me off until I got into my taxi. Once again, I was truly soothed by the delicious food and exceptional hospitality. I am deeply grateful to all of the staff. We traveled to Miyazaki from Osaka as a family of three for our daughter’s birthday, because she wanted to try authentic spicy ramen. It was a very hot midsummer day, but the Room was cool, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom with a jet bath was spacious, and we were also delighted with the BVLGARI amenities. Since we hadn’t made a Reservation for the dinner course, we asked for à la carte at the restaurant at short notice. The cheerful chef kindly listened to our requests, and we enjoyed delicious Miyazaki beef and wine in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. For breakfast, the three of us ordered different dishes—Japanese-style breakfast, Western-style breakfast, and Eggs Benedict—and everything was excellent. As we didn’t need to drive anywhere afterward, we were able to enjoy plenty of drinks from the morning. In particular, the original(?) sausage in the Western-style breakfast was so flavorful that I wished I could have had more—either as seconds or even as a takeaway. During our stay, they also prepared a birthday celebration plate for our daughter, recommended a great spicy ramen shop, and gave us time to relax in the lounge with drinks while enjoying conversations with our daughter that we don’t often get to have. Thanks to this warm hospitality from all the staff who created such a welcoming environment, it became an extremely comfortable trip to Miyazaki. I truly think this is a highly recommended Hotel. To all the staff members: thank you very much for such a wonderful time.

Last summer, after renting a nearby vacation home and visiting Morito Beach, we discovered SCAPES THE SUITE. We made a Reservation because we were drawn to the easy beach access and the property’s atmosphere, and we had been looking forward to our stay. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy the sea with our family, including our two young daughters. We used the pick-up and drop-off service from Zushi Station, and being greeted by a classic Cedric taxi instantly set a resort mood. We arrived a little early and planned to wait in the lobby, but perhaps because of my IKYU Diamond membership, we were shown to our Room right away. It was the twin “Mandarin Orange.” It felt more spacious than expected, with the Shonan sea right in front of us and Enoshima clearly visible at all times. Due to the weather we only caught a faint glimpse of Mt. Fuji for a moment, but having the ocean always in view was truly soothing. After the concierge kindly showed us around the Room, they helped arrange our one-hour private jacuzzi time (per Room) as well as breakfast time. We were worried about an approaching typhoon, but fortunately it took a course that didn’t affect us much—so we even enjoyed occasional sunshine. Our daughters’ family was able to swim several times, while we grandparents stayed in the Room caring for our 7-month-old grandchild. It was wonderfully relaxing. With children aged three and zero with us, we ate out for dinner; however, the Hotel restaurant also looked very appealing. This time we only had breakfast and lunch here, but next time we would love to try dinner as well. No matter where you look from within this property—the balcony or even from the jacuzzi—the view of the sea never gets old. That scenery itself felt like your greatest hospitality. We also strongly felt how much everyone working there loves Hayama—and loves this Hotel. The pride and care of both the concierge team and those serving at breakfast/the restaurant really came through. We were also delighted by your gift: Genbei’s famous beach sandals. You coordinated sizes and colors for each family member perfectly—our daughters’ family was thrilled. Finally, after receiving an outstanding carrot dressing as well, we headed home feeling refreshed. Not only in summer but in any season, SCAPES is a place where you can truly relax—and we would love to return again. Thank you very much to everyone at the Hotel.

As it was my first stay, you kindly picked me up at Tokyo Station and showed me to a beautifully clean, nicely chilled Room as much as three hours early. Every member of staff welcomed me with such warm smiles that, even in a luxurious space far from everyday life, I was able to spend a wonderfully comfortable day as if I were in my own Room. Breakfast was truly delicious, and on top of that, the delightful conversation with the cute female staff member who spoke languages fluently, along with the thoughtful attentiveness of the male staff member—never intrusive yet always considerate—made me linger longer than planned. I’ll work hard and will definitely stay again!
