We stayed as a couple during our summer vacation. It was a small Accommodation, but the Room was spacious and had a nostalgic atmosphere. The Room had an Onsen with a rock bath, and it was not too hot—very relaxing and pleasant. Dinner was delicious across the board, and the sashimi, especially flounder, was outstanding. All the staff were very kind and attentive, so we were able to relax and unwind. Thank you very much.

We stayed as a group of three, and the room was spacious enough with a large TV, offering great value for money. It’s also within walking distance to Tiffany's, which was very convenient. We were extremely satisfied. The front desk staff were all smiling and exuded hospitality, making our stay very pleasant.

Three friends and I stayed here. Every Room was very clean, with a design that felt warm and wood-toned. The kitchen was fully equipped, so we cooked together while enjoying drinks and had a wonderful time. We could also see cherry blossoms perfectly framed through the window—they were beautiful. It was a lovely stay where we could feel the seasons, talk to our hearts’ content, and spend time at a relaxed pace. We would love to stay again!

I stayed here in the middle of an extreme heat wave. The Room was Japanese-style, with a round table and floor cushions. Wi-Fi was available. The futon was already laid out. It didn’t feel old-fashioned at all and was very clean. It’s an out-bath style, but there is a single-person bath right next door. There may not be many Rooms, so it never felt crowded and I could use it without any trouble. Breakfast was very lavish: classic items like grilled salmon, miso soup, rice served in an ohitsu tub, teppan-yaki on a ceramic plate, dessert, cassis vinegar drink, yogurt, and even soft drinks at the end. It was almost too much. The location is a bit far from the ferry terminal, and convenience stores are also near the ferry terminal, so don’t forget to shop beforehand. I’d like to stay here again when I visit.

My spouse and I, an older couple, stayed for one night. It was quiet thanks to the location just off a small side street, the front desk staff were kind and helpful, and the Room was very clean. We parked our car at the coin-operated parking lot next door. We enjoyed a morning walk in the Kyoto Imperial Palace Park. It seems you can also have breakfast at a shop inside the park from 8:00 a.m. Some people may feel that the Hotel is a bit far from the station or that there isn’t a convenience store nearby, but for us—living somewhere much less convenient—it didn’t bother us at all (laughs). Everything was so great that we made another Reservation for a few months from now. That’s about it.

We stayed as an 82-year-old grandmother and her 22-year-old grandchild. Having lived abroad for many years, we were continually moved by the wonderful Japanese hospitality. The Room with a private in-room Onsen we had always dreamed of was extremely comfortable, and the wide variety of dishes served each day were truly delicious—we could feel the chef’s care in every single item. All of the staff were very kind, and it was simply a fantastic three-night stay. When my grandmother felt unwell from travel fatigue, they even made rice balls for her and showed us such thoughtful kindness. Japanese hospitality is the best in the world. We look forward to visiting again someday. Thank you very much for everything.

I love the calm atmosphere of Tateshina Tokyu Hotel and have stayed here several times. Its setting in the forest, the dignified yet unpretentious interiors, and the quiet time you can spend here offer a charm that is hard to find at other hotels. This time was no different, and it reminded me again how much I like this hotel. Also, though it’s a small thing, I really like the toothbrushes in the guest rooms. They’re comfortable to use, and I can feel the hotel’s thoughtfulness even in these details. I hope you will continue with the current ones. On the other hand, precisely because I’ve been coming for many years, there are a few things that disappointed me. The biggest one is that Japanese dinner has been discontinued since this year. On a Multiple Night Stay, we used to enjoy being able to choose “Western tonight, Japanese tomorrow” within the hotel itself. Especially for us—who prefer not to drive once we arrive and instead relax in the forest or inside—the option was very important. French cuisine certainly has its appeal, but having Western meals both nights makes it feel like a slightly different hotel than before. I would be happy if Japanese dinner becomes an option again someday. I was also sorry to hear that the garden pool, long loved by guests, has ended operations starting this year. I understand it was due to aging facilities (Facility), but combined with the end of Japanese dinner options (Facility), it feels as though some of what made Tateshina Tokyu special is gradually disappearing. One more thing I would love to see enhanced is the in-house library collection (Facility). This is such a quiet Hotel where you can relax while looking out at the forest—perfect for reading. The current selection feels lacking not so much in quantity as in curation quality. If there were more books that you’d want to pick up specifically because you came to Tateshina—on Shinshu’s nature and culture, mountains, architecture, travel writing, literature—it would make time spent at this Hotel even richer. I’m not asking for new facilities or services one after another. Rather, I hope you will continue cherishing and preserving what makes this Hotel unique. These comments come from someone who truly likes this Hotel—and I hope to keep visiting for many years to come.

Despite the affordable rates, the breakfast buffet offers a great variety. I’m happy that breakfast is available from 6:00 a.m. I also recommend the Kamadoka izakaya on the first floor. For guests staying overnight, there is a 90-minute all-you-can-drink plan for 1,000 yen. Also, it seems that registering as a LINE friend may give you a discount on your room rate. I will continue to stay here in the future.

My monthly staycation is usually at a Hotel in my local Minato Mirai area, but this time I went a bit farther to Hotel Indigo Gora. I drove there alone, and the winding mountain roads in Hakone were a little tiring. I arrived before check-in and planned to relax at the footbath, but as soon as I parked in the outdoor lot in front of the Hotel, a staff member came right away and helped with my luggage. The welcome drink and Umaibo snack were a nice touch, and being able to check in comfortably while seated is one of those pleasures you expect from a Hotel of this class. When I entered my Room with the staff’s guidance, I couldn’t help saying, “Beautiful!” out loud. It’s a compact Hotel with around 100 rooms, but the Japanese-modern design—combining a raised tatami area with beds—was truly charming. I usually prefer modern Hotels, but this stay reminded me how calming and appealing Japanese-modern style can be. For dinner, I ordered à la carte at the on-site restaurant. The shrimp, scallops, and abalone in the bouillabaisse were surprisingly tender; the burrata was rich and paired perfectly with tomato and basil. The white wine went down easily. Since I don’t eat much, I also appreciated having à la carte options instead of only set courses. The bath in my Room was spacious, and I was able to fully enjoy the Onsen at leisure. The breakfast buffet also impressed me in both variety and quality—especially the green beans dressed with sesame sauce, which tasted far better than anything I could make at home. Even as someone who eats lightly (and can be picky), it was more than satisfying. The hospitality from everyone on staff was excellent, and the entire property was beautiful and comfortable. It was a wonderful Hotel that made me want to return again.

The Facility isn’t new, but even a new place won’t feel comfortable if it’s inconvenient to use or the Room is too small. The location is in the middle of the downtown area yet not noisy, and having parking makes it convenient. In any case, the spacious Room is very helpful for us since we travel with a lot of luggage—even the hallways are wide. I think they put real effort into breakfast as well. The food tastes good, and you can tell the staff are always attentive because the tongs and plates are kept clean. It’s also great to see experienced staff working with pride. With so many Business Hotels these days where you’re made to check in at a machine even when staff are right in front of you, and where service often feels inattentive, this is a valuable Hotel that I hope will continue for many years. I will gladly stay again.

I stayed with my 84-year-old mother. Using the large public bath would have been difficult for her, so we chose a Room with a private Onsen. The meals were very delicious, and the staff who served us were extremely courteous, so we were very satisfied. The in-room Onsen was also excellent. We also enjoyed the Facility services such as sweets and drinks, and in the morning we appreciated the fruit and yogurt as well. We knew from the start, but the stairs and getting around were challenging. Also, depending on the person, the front desk staff did not feel very welcoming.

On my previous trip I stayed here with friends, but this time I had the pleasure of staying with my elderly mother to celebrate her 88th birthday. Because she has difficulty walking, I was a little worried about accessibility, but you kindly assisted us in every situation and we were able to stay comfortably. Although it rained unfortunately, we were able to relax and talk in our Room, and also enjoy a pottery painting experience, making it a truly happy time. The meals were also very delicious. Not only the Akaushi beef and fish, but the Yamato vegetables were wonderful as well. We could also feel the scenery of Nara through the tableware, and the seasonal hydrangeas painted on it delighted us visually too. On our way to the dining area, we found a large snail. Seeing my mother smile happily like a child left a strong impression on me, and it made me realize again that choosing Ubusuna no Sato for this trip was the right decision. Thank you very much for giving us such a happy time. I’m already looking forward to receiving the plate we painted.

I often stay here when visiting Kobe because it’s in a quiet area of Kitano, and the spacious layout makes it very relaxing. It takes about 12–13 minutes to get into the city, but it’s an easy walk downhill (though the uphill walk back is tough). There are also restaurants on site, and during my two-night stay I was able to enjoy both Japanese and Western cuisine.

I was extremely satisfied with this Accommodation. I chose it because they allowed me to check in at 11:00 PM after a festival event, and because the Onsen is available for bathing all night. I also loved the thoughtful idea of opening an Onsen Facility that is normally for day-use during the daytime exclusively for overnight guests at night. By chance it was a large-bath day (apparently some days it’s a smaller bath), and since it was the last night of Obon, I had it all to myself and could enjoy it in luxury. The large bath doesn’t have a sauna, but there is also a lukewarm source-spring bath, and alternating between that and the hot bath completely melted away my fatigue from the day. Breakfast the next morning was buffet-style. I didn’t expect much because I assumed it would be mostly just rice with raw egg, but I was pleasantly surprised. The rice with raw egg was excellent, and there were also porridge and a wide variety of side dishes with great seasoning. For dessert, there were two kinds of fresh fruit—watermelon and pineapple—both sweet and very satisfying. I would definitely like to stay here again.

From the moment you see the building towering on a small hill, your heart starts to race. From the lobby to the lounge and the Room, everything is simple, clean, spacious, and relaxing. The buffet offers a wide variety of delicious dishes that disappear in no time—it seemed hard for them to keep up with refills. We have stayed at Mercure hotels in many places, and my husband says this one is the best. The Onsen is also excellent.

This was my first stay here, and the Room was spacious and very relaxing. Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and I was completely full (and they were delicious). I also received a great-value coupon, which let me buy lots of souvenirs. I would like to visit again.

Well, speaking as a couple, this is gradually becoming our ideal Hotel (laughs). The Room is a comfortable size and never feels cramped. The staff—and the chef and kitchen team—work in perfect sync, and we appreciated being able to enjoy our meals at an unhurried pace. And the in-room Onsen was wonderful. We usually prefer a fully Japanese breakfast, but everything here—from the salad to the main dish—was flawless. If we had to mention one thing, it might be limited to the Rooms on the second floor: when other guests open or close their doors, perhaps due to air pressure, we sometimes heard a rattling sound as our door seemed to shake, which startled us (and it can make you aware of people coming and going). Even so, we keep making another Reservation—this may become our one-and-only Hotel.

This was my first time staying at voco Osaka, and overall it was very good. Most of the service staff were foreign nationals, but they seemed to be well trained.

Because we moved our trip home forward at short notice, we ended up making a Reservation the day before. From welcome to farewell, everyone at the Accommodation greeted us with warm smiles throughout. The meals—both dinner and breakfast—were just the right portions for us as a couple in our 60s, and everything was delicious. We especially enjoyed the local cuisine, steak, local sake, and local wine—it was wonderful. The younger staff also chatted with us while explaining the dishes, and our Room was quiet and relaxing, making it a great memory. If I had to mention anything, it would be nice to have two Room keys, and I would have preferred a lighter down comforter. Thank you very much.

Despite the rain, we truly appreciated being picked up when we arrived at the Accommodation and dropped off when we left, which made us feel very welcome. The Onsen water left our skin silky smooth, and we enjoyed a very relaxing bath. We also thoroughly enjoyed our meal in a private room. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.
