I recently stayed with the No Meals Included plan. As it was a weekday after the Golden Week holidays, it wasn’t crowded, and I was able to relax and enjoy a long soak in the bath. The building feels a bit old, but the Room and large public bath were well cleaned and very pleasant. Thank you very much.

The dinner offered a great variety and was delicious—we were very satisfied. Every dish was excellent. Of course, breakfast was also delicious… The property was clean, and we had a comfortable stay. We would love to stay here again.

Although it is an old-fashioned Hotel, it was very clean, and the front desk staff provided clear explanations and excellent service. The meals were also delicious. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Due to the rain, I called as I wanted to arrive early and received a polite response: [You cannot enter the Room until 4 PM, but you can leave your car and luggage with us.] Thank you for accommodating us without any hesitation.

You can enjoy a 24-hour onsen with natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source! The room was a renovated twin room, and the sunken kotatsu was an interesting feature. The beds were fluffy and very comfortable, making for a pleasant stay! For dinner, we had the famous Kiritanpo hot pot served individually in small pots, along with shabu-shabu featuring Kazuno beef and Hachimantai pork—everything was delicious! As mentioned in reviews, there were plenty of options, leaving us fully satisfied. There was also a wide selection of local sake available for tasting. After check-out, I realized I had forgotten something, but they contacted me immediately so I could retrieve it. I truly appreciate their kind assistance! Thank you very much.

The meals were a full-course Japanese cuisine and extremely satisfying. Breakfast was also delicious to the point of overeating. However, while there are five baths available and they were nice, access is on a first-come, first-served basis, making it difficult to use them at your preferred time. The private outdoor bath for two is enjoyable but gives the impression of being underutilized since it’s not always accessible.

Our family of four stayed here this time. The meals were made with fresh local vegetables and fish, and everything was delicious. The Saga beef was outstanding! The Onsen was pleasantly warm, so we could soak slowly for a long time, and it left our skin smooth. This is an Accommodation we would definitely like to visit again.

After watching a baseball game, we extended our trip to enjoy Kinosaki Onsen and the Amarube Bridge sightseeing. Since my friend and I both love crab, we stayed with the Kasumi Crab course at this accommodation. When I informed them in advance by phone that my friend had difficulty walking, they kindly prepared a barrier-free room for us. The food was delicious. They also arranged a taxi for us, and the staff serving meals were very attentive. The onsen was excellent as well. Although I was initially worried due to some negative reviews, we had a pleasant stay overall. The area in front of the ryokan was quiet enough to relax comfortably.

The cleanliness of the room, which was unexpected from the exterior, made it very comfortable. Except for the lack of an elevator and needing to drive to access the bath, the service was friendly, and I would like to use the No Meals Included Plan again.

I made a reservation at an accommodation that is rare these days, offering in-room smoking and in-room dining. The meals were thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The onsen is not from a natural hot spring source, but you can enjoy it quietly and leisurely.

We had a wonderful family trip during the New Year. The meals were incredible, with an abundance of crab and sashimi, followed by tempura and chawanmushi just when we thought we couldn’t eat any more! The final dish of zosui was absolutely perfect. The private baths at night allowed our family to relax together comfortably. The staff provided such warm and welcoming service that it felt like returning home. A special thank you to the driver who kindly took us on an outdoor hot spring tour despite the heavy snow! We will definitely visit again.

Although the building is very old, everything was thoroughly cleaned throughout, and I had a very pleasant stay. All of the staff were so polite it almost made me feel bad. There are also staff members who speak excellent English, so international guests should have no trouble. The meals were generous—perhaps a slightly smaller Plan could be offered as well. The open-air bath, the large public bath, and the in-Room bath (a bit small) all had wonderful water quality. I stayed for two nights from Friday, and quite often it felt like we had the baths to ourselves. For international guests, there seemed to be some confusion about where to take off slippers and how to use the small towel. If you could provide explanations not only in words but also with simple illustrations and written instructions, I think everyone could enjoy bathing more comfortably (for example: dry your body before returning to the changing area—sometimes the floor ends up quite wet). It’s about a 10-minute walk from the station, very quiet, and perfect for relaxing. This is a Ryokan I would like to visit again to support them going forward. On departure they kindly prepared to drive me to the station, but since I still had time before my train I decided to walk instead—and I was surprised when they even apologized for that. Everyone was truly kind. Lastly, the attendant in charge of my Room was friendly and helpful, leaving me with an excellent overall impression. Thank you very much for taking care of me.

Weekday stay for a family of four in two rooms. The room was spacious and clean for two people. Dinner was luxurious, with enough sashimi to fill you up—highly recommended for seafood lovers. Other dishes like sukiyaki, soup, and chawanmushi were also very delicious. The staff provided friendly and attentive service with smiles, though having a menu would have been nice. For the bath, caution is needed as the large public bath's tub can be slippery. The outdoor bath was slightly lukewarm. Access to the rooftop open-air bath requires calling the front desk beforehand, so it’s best to make an early reservation as late-night or early-morning visits might inconvenience the staff (I regret not asking if multiple time slots could be reserved). However, if it's clear, you can enjoy stunning views of sunsets or starry skies from there—it’s refreshing! I’d love to stay again if I get another chance. Thank you!

It wasn’t like the Hotels I’ve stayed at before or a fully equipped Ryokan, but it had a relaxing atmosphere and warm hospitality. There is no toilet or washbasin in the Room, so it may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. There was a piano in the Room—are guests allowed to play it? The Onsen is spacious enough for two people to enjoy comfortably, and you can also use it as a private bath without making a Reservation. On the second day, checkout was at 12:00, so we could take our time. They also stored our luggage while we went to collect Gorogoro Water and visit Godaimatsu Limestone Cave, which made sightseeing much easier. The elderly gentleman kindly said, “It’s hot down below, so please take care of yourself.” After returning to Osaka, I somehow felt lighter and full of energy! It was a mysterious place—somewhere between the world below and heaven.

I booked an accommodation for my mother and aunts visiting from another prefecture, looking for a reasonably priced and nice place. When I asked them about their stay, they said it was absolutely wonderful. The food was very delicious. The bath was clean, and the natural view from the room was breathtaking. They mentioned wanting to visit again while they're still healthy. They enjoyed the manju served in the room so much that they purchased some to take home. The staff at the ryokan provided kind and excellent hospitality. My mother especially enjoyed chatting with one of the attendants and expressed her desire to return again. I'm so glad they were this happy with their stay!

There are some things that make you think "a bit off" as mentioned in the reviews, but considering the cost performance and being able to stay with my beloved dog, I personally think this is the best accommodation! It’s definitely one of the accommodations I’d love to visit again.

I had used the day-use hot springs several times before and fell in love with the water at first sight. Wanting to spend more time soaking in the water, I decided to stay at this accommodation this time! The staff at the accommodation were incredibly kind and attentive, which I truly appreciated. It has become a place I definitely want to stay again!

The Onsen in the main building was great.

Bus stops for both Oita Bus and Kamenoi Bus are nearby, and it’s also just a short walk to the large Yumetown supermarket and Takegawara Onsen, making the location very convenient. The Room is equipped with enough cookware and appliances to live comfortably on your own. In addition to air conditioning, there was also a heater, which was very helpful. Having a microwave in the Room is great. Guest Rooms are on the 3rd and 4th floors, and there is no elevator, so I was a bit worried at first, but it wasn’t an issue for my two-night stay. The male staff member at the front desk was also very kind, polite, and pleasant.
