I stayed here after relatives in Shonai recommended it as an Accommodation with excellent food, and it exceeded my expectations. From appetizers to dessert, everything was carefully prepared—making the most of the ingredients with creative touches—and the portions were generous. Every dish was delicious, and I left completely satisfied. Breakfast was just as impressive as dinner, with a wide variety of items and great flavor. After the wonderful meal, it was also nice to relax in the Onsen bath in my Room. The staff’s bright smiles were another highlight. I’d love to come back to enjoy seasonal dishes at a different time of year, and also explore the Onsen town and try visiting private baths at other facilities.

This is an Onsen Accommodation you’ll want to return to again and again, with truly outstanding dedication to cuisine. Every visit leaves me thinking, “I’m so glad I came back.” Above all, I look forward to the meals each time. They are meticulous not only about the ingredients, but also about the dashi and even the grilling. The dashi is made with bonito flakes carefully shaved in-house at this Ryokan and natural true kombu kelp. The aroma and depth of flavor you notice from the very first sip are on a different level from ordinary dishes—you can taste the care that goes into it. The grilled items are also exceptional. They grill over binchotan charcoal sourced directly from a brewery in Wakayama. The eel in particular is superb: crisp, fragrant skin with tender, fluffy flesh. It’s delicious in a way that clearly reflects the chef’s precise technique and timing. I was also delighted to enjoy premium ingredients that are hard to come by in everyday life—Ginjiro uni (sea urchin), Saikyo-style hamo (pike conger), kue (longtooth grouper), Deshiko eel, and Shine Muscat “Hareou” grapes. And it’s not just about the food. The proprietress and all of the staff are genuinely warm and pleasant; their kindness comes through naturally when you interact with them. Their heartfelt hospitality is what makes this Accommodation so comfortable. The Onsen, the cuisine, and the hospitality—everything here makes you want to come back.

I stayed here with my mother. The Accommodation was spotless, and the meals were thoughtfully prepared and truly delicious! Above all, the hospitality from everyone at the Accommodation was outstanding. When I come to Yufuin again, it’s not just that I want to stay in Yufuin—I want to visit Yufuin so I can stay at this Accommodation.

Surrounded by delicious meals, a free-flowing natural hot spring bath, and adorable cats, I was able to spend a gentle, peaceful time. Thank you very much.

I made a Reservation to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday! From check-in, we were welcomed with delicious tea and sweets, and the process was smooth and pleasant. Dinner was excellent—everything from the sashimi to the steamed vegetables was delicious. Since we both love alcohol, the all-you-can-drink selection with so many options was amazing! Breakfast was also healthy and tasty, and it was such a great Accommodation that it made us want to stay one more night. My girlfriend was very happy! Thank you so much.

This was a wonderful Accommodation that made my first trip to Niigata truly special. While the building and furnishings showed their age, there were programs where we could enjoy local culture, such as shamisen performances and readings about the snow country, and thoughtful amenities like sake lees face packs, Japanese sake, and coffee, making it an Accommodation where we could fully enjoy Yuzawa. All of the staff, as well as the shamisen instructor, were outstanding. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Meals are served in a private dining room where you can bring your pet, the food is delicious, and the staff’s hospitality is excellent.

Dear Kamon Team, To celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary, we stayed here for the first time, choosing your Accommodation based on Reviews around the Hakone area—and it turned into the best anniversary we could have hoped for. My wife and I are truly grateful. From check-in to check-out, we received impeccable hospitality in every way. Starting with the attendant whose wonderful smile looked after us, every member of staff was exactly as described in the Reviews—flawless in their manners and attentive to even the smallest details. The beautifully renewed design blending Japanese and Western styles was delightful, and everything throughout the Facility was thoroughly cleaned and well maintained, creating an exceptional sense of freshness and comfort. As lovers of traditional Ryokan stays, both my wife and I were completely satisfied. We were also impressed by the wide selection of stylish women’s yukata—and it felt almost too wonderful to receive a cute drawstring pouch filled with amenities as well. When we mentioned in advance that we were visiting for our anniversary, thoughtful touches awaited us at dinner: a framed red-and-white crane mizuhiki decoration, chopstick rests marked with celebratory characters, sekihan served in an adorable bowl with “good fortune” written on it—and even a commemorative gift of a ceramic tumbler set. The dinner course itself was outstanding: exquisite ingredients beautifully presented on elegant tableware, with staging that delighted all five senses. We could truly feel the aesthetic sense and craftsmanship of everyone in the kitchen team throughout. Of course, there was nothing to fault—the taste, portions, hot/cold balance, and perfectly timed serving and clearing were all impeccable. We have stayed at many luxury Ryokan and heritage Hotels every year for our anniversary, but there is no doubt that Kamon has become an unforgettable Accommodation for us. Even on our way home we couldn’t stop talking about your hospitality together. We would love to return again—thank you very much in advance when we do. This Accommodation let us fully enjoy both the sea and the Onsen. The sound of the waves heard from the tatami Room was truly, truly soothing—it was a Room that made us want to keep watching and listening forever, and to stay longer. From arrival to departure, every staff member was kind and attentive. We were able to enjoy the meals, drinks, and even late-night ramen. There wasn’t a single thing to complain about—this is a place we absolutely want to visit again. Thank you for such a wonderful time.

From the moment we arrived, the parking guidance, check-in, shop, and breakfast venue staff were all very welcoming, and their smiles and service made our stay truly comfortable. This Hotel is perfect in every way—from the Room size and hospitality to all services and cleanliness. It was the best Hotel I have ever stayed at. I felt the price could easily be twice as high. Above all, it was calm and relaxing, with only Japanese adults staying there, which helped me truly unwind. I would love to visit again.

Both the bath and the meals were excellent. Dinner felt a little too much at first, but they kindly arranged the leftover meat into the next morning’s breakfast. The staff who took care of us were very kind, and we had a fun, relaxing stay with peace of mind. This is an Accommodation I would love to stay at again.

We stay here mainly for Arashi no Yu, and it’s an amazing experience every single time—thank you again for this visit. The table tennis & darts Room is a hidden gem, and the kids were thrilled! If I had one request, it would be to have some board games the kids can enjoy (even something like UNO) in the table tennis Room or at the front desk—then they wouldn’t get bored even during a Multiple Night Stay. In any case, thank you as always for another wonderful stay.

This Accommodation, Sagamiya, was a wonderful place where we could truly feel traditional Japanese hospitality. As soon as we arrived by car, the staff noticed us right away and came out to assist, kindly helping us park with ease. They guided us to our Room, and the attendant came to greet us and made tea for us. These days we often stay at more Western-style Hotels, so it was a pleasure to enjoy this Japanese-style hospitality again after a long time. We enjoyed a delicious in-room meal in the tatami Room with a lovely view. The open-air bath in the Room was also excellent, and even one night was enough to leave us feeling fully refreshed. All of the staff were very pleasant. We also appreciated the many thoughtful touches throughout our stay—it felt reassuring that experienced staff could make good judgments on the spot. We would love to visit again.

It was a pity that the entrance gate was still under construction, with cones and blue tarps scattered around (I understand that unexpected earthquakes and heavy rain can take up manpower). This time, the meals were upgraded and were a delight to both the eyes and the palate. For breakfast, I would have been even happier if there had been a choice of bread. I will visit again—thank you very much.

This time, my spouse and I traveled around Kumamoto by rental car with our two sons and stayed in Kurokawa Onsen. The atmosphere of the entire Onsen town was very calm—quiet, charming, and a wonderful place to relax at a leisurely pace. The quality of the Onsen water was excellent, and we felt deeply relaxed after bathing. The Ryokan staff were kind and attentive, and the Room was clean and comfortable. It was a very satisfying stay for our whole family and one of the most memorable highlights of our trip to Kumamoto. We highly recommend this Onsen destination for family trips as well.

You’ll head toward the mountains on a narrow road that might make you wonder if there’s really a Ryokan up ahead. When we finally arrived, it felt like a hidden Accommodation—so exciting! The building was spotless and well maintained, and the staff were friendly, making it truly relaxing. The Onsen had a sulfur scent, and the meals—centered around fish—were delicious down to the pickles. I couldn’t stop going back for more rice! We made our next Reservation as soon as we arrived—it was that wonderful!

This is a small Ryokan with a strong sense of history, and as soon as you step through the entrance, you are welcomed by a classic Japanese Ryokan that blends beautifully with nature. The attentive service from the staff and the view of Kakusenkei Gorge from the Room made for a wonderful welcome. The Onsen is also small, but it was calm and very relaxing. Most impressive of all was the dining experience—every detail, from the food to the presentation and tableware, was outstanding. This is an Accommodation I would definitely like to return to.

We thoroughly enjoyed the silky Yuda Onsen. We also chose the BBQ for dinner, and everything was delicious (beef, pork, chicken, vegetables, etc.). The Matsuri sauce in particular was outstanding—we bought three bottles to take home. We stayed in a Japanese-style room; it was spacious, and the futon was comfortable, so we had a very pleasant stay. Thank you very much.

The Room was clean, and being able to smoke on the terrace made my stay very comfortable. The staff were all very kind and attentive, and the private open-air bath with its spectacular view as well as the in-Room open-air bath were incredibly relaxing—making it a wonderful holiday.
